@pjekn:At present, China is suffering from typical deflation, credit contraction in the whole society, income decline, and extreme pessimism about the future. JD Taobao doesn't work, and Pinduoduo and Tiktok Group Buying are rising because they are cheap. Houses, cars and mobile phones can't be sold, so real estate stocks, Tesla and Xiaomi Apple, Intel and TSMC are all plummeting. Genting Singapore owns Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore offering a casino, SEA Aquarium, Adventure Cove Waterpark, Universal Studios Singapore Theme Park, 6 themed hotels, celebrity chef restaurants and speciality retail outlets. Genting Singapore 3Q22 results showed strong revenue up 49% and EBITDA up 73%. Resorts World Sentosa recorded its best quarter since Covid 19 with revenue and net profit recovering to 87% and 85% of 3Q19 respectively. Genting's gaming revenue in 3Q22 recovered strongly by 56% quarter on quarter and represented 106% of pre pandemic level, mainly due to strong VIP win percentage (4.8%)
$COSCO SHIP HOLD(01919)$ Cosco ship holding has reward me with handsome dividends payout this year collected 4K in sgd, better than dbs bank with dividend yield of approx 5%, collecting 1320 SGD in dividend. container rates were booming 2021/2022 topping 8000 usd, my capital was 95k HKD and I collected 23k HKD in dividend that works out to be approx 25% yield. Currently heard from my friend who is in import and export business that recent container rates revised lower. I believe that container rates was not reflecting the potential geopolitical conflict in Asia pacific where Shanghai was the world busiest port follow by Singapore PSA. It’s just absurd that Tesla is trading close to 40x revenue whilst Nio is now down to less than 3x revenue - ultimately Nio’s performance will simply command an appropriate market price!!
