Down by 23% since January, the index has been under consistent pressure this year as multiple factors (inflation, interest rate increases, the war in Ukraine) have been making investors nervous about the future of the economy.Although the near term looks challenging for many businesses, there are some great stocks to buy and hold for the long term. Both drugmaker AstraZeneca (AZN) and tech giant Apple (AAPL) are in good shape to weather the current conditions and generate strong results for investors from here on out.1. AstraZenecaAstraZeneca is a top oncology company, and that can make it a relatively resilient business to invest in today. Cancer care is ongoing and doesn't stop for a recession or inflation. In its first-quarter results, for the period ending March 31, oncology sales rose 21% year over year to $3.6 billion. As good as that looks, there's more growth on the way. The company has a potential blockbuster cancer drug in Enhertu, which has been effective in treating breast cancer for patients with both high and low levels of HER2, a key protein. Analysts project the drug's peak revenue could top $6.6 billion. The company's other major segments -- cardiovascular, renal, and metabolism -- generated $2.2 billion in sales and rose by 14% in Q1. With more than 180 projects in its pipeline spanning multiple therapeutic areas, there's no shortage of opportunities for the business to build on the strong results it is generating today. In addition to its solid growth prospects, the stock also pays a dividend yield of 2.4%. That's higher than the S&P 500 average of 1.4% and can help bolster your overall returns. Shares of the company are also trading at a reasonable 15 times future earnings, which is in line with the average healthcare stock in the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund.AstraZeneca's modest valuation can lessen the risk of a steep decline in a bear market. And thus far, a sell-off hasn't been happening. With year-to-date gains of around 5%, the stock has been one of the better investments to be holding this year.2. AppleAnother solid growth stock to buy and hold is Apple. A favorite of Warren Buffett, the company was once referred to by the billionaire investor as \"probably the best business I know in the world.\"It's a hard statement to argue with given that despite its high-priced products, which often retail for more than $1,000, the company continues to generate growth. That strong brand loyalty could make Apple one of the better-performing growth stocks to own, even during a recession. In the second quarter of fiscal 2022, Apple's revenue topped $97.3 billion for the period ended March 26 and rose 9% year over year.Although its dividend yield is fairly modest at just 0.7%, the company rewards investors through its buybacks and the share appreciation they will likely profit from in the long term. Over the trailing 12 months, Apple has reported free cash flow of $105.8 billion. And of that total, it spent $85.8 billion on share repurchases plus $14.7 billion on dividend payments.Shares of Apple are down 26% this year, but that's likely due to the broad correction that's happening in the markets right now as opposed to anything the business is doing wrong. Apple's cash-rich operations make it one of the safer tech stocks to own today, and buying it on the dip could be a great move for long-term investors.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"AAPL":0.9,"AZN":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":431,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":899655625,"gmtCreate":1628181199367,"gmtModify":1703502779846,"author":{"id":"3555261138218608","authorId":"3555261138218608","name":"fabio","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8da22244b65eeb511fac3b0633934760","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3555261138218608","authorIdStr":"3555261138218608"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Hope amd crash another 20% so i can buy some to replace the lagging Intel stocks ","listText":"Hope amd crash another 20% so i can buy some to replace the lagging Intel stocks ","text":"Hope amd crash another 20% so i can buy some to replace the lagging Intel stocks","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":8,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/899655625","repostId":"2157431025","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":506,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9034315049,"gmtCreate":1647801444925,"gmtModify":1676534266319,"author":{"id":"3555261138218608","authorId":"3555261138218608","name":"fabio","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8da22244b65eeb511fac3b0633934760","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3555261138218608","authorIdStr":"3555261138218608"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"I'm not selling too ","listText":"I'm not selling too ","text":"I'm not selling too","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":9,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9034315049","repostId":"2220430742","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":355,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9035531435,"gmtCreate":1647624652698,"gmtModify":1676534252454,"author":{"id":"3555261138218608","authorId":"3555261138218608","name":"fabio","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8da22244b65eeb511fac3b0633934760","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3555261138218608","authorIdStr":"3555261138218608"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"I don't dare to buy... The average annual return of the major U.S. indexes has handily surpassed the average returns of other asset classes, such as bonds and commodities, over the long run.But just because the aggregate value of equities rises over time, it doesn't mean all stocks are going to be winners. Even though Wall Street analysts and investment banks are best-known for cheering on innovation, there are instances where they expect well-known stocks to head lower.Based on the lowest published price target from Wall Street, the following three stocks are expected to plunge between 42% and 92% in 2022.Image source: Getty Images.Tesla Motors: Implied decline of 92%It likely comes as no surprise that electric vehicle (EV) kingpin Tesla Motors (NASDAQ:TSLA) is a highly polarizing stock among Wall Street analysts. While some believe the company could nearly double in value from the $829 a share it closed at on Jan. 27, Gordon Johnson at GLJ Research foresees Tesla falling more than 90%, based on his price target of $67 for the company. To be fair, Tesla has done a lot of things right. CEO Elon Musk built the company from the ground-up to mass production. Tesla is the first automaker in more than five decades to successfully enter the auto market and reach mass production.Tesla has also had no issues with consumer demand, as evidenced by its production ramp and deliveries. When 2021 began, Tesla was expected to be in the neighborhood of 750,000 EV deliveries for the year. But when the curtain closed, the world's most valuable automaker had delivered more than 936,000 EVs. With the gigafactory in Austin, Texas, set to open soon, Tesla will have plenty of opportunity to increase production to meet growing consumer EV demand. But there are plenty of reasons to be skeptical of Tesla and its $833 billion valuation. For example, even though Elon Musk's innovation has been a driving force behind his company's success, he's also been something of a liability. Musk's social media presence has previously got him in trouble with regulators, and his forecasted timeline for new product rollouts is almost always far too ambitious. Most new vehicles roll off the assembly line later than expected. Additionally, the company's full self-driving (FSD) software remains something of a work in progress, despite Musk touting FSD's potential for more than five years.Another clear issue is Tesla's valuation. Auto stocks are traditionally valued at single-digit price-to-earnings (P/E) ratios to reflect their generally high debt levels and the cyclical nature of the auto industry. Tesla has consistently sported a forward-year P/E ratio in the triple digits. With other major automakers spending tens of billions of dollars on EV and battery research, it's likely that Tesla's competitive edge will shrink over time, as well. While a $67 price target is probably too bearish given Tesla's current competitive advantages, I do believe downside is warranted.Image source: Getty Images.Moderna: Implied decline of 42%A second extremely popular stock one Wall Street investment bank believes will plunge in 2022 is biotech stock Moderna (NASDAQ:MRNA). According to analyst Mani Foroohar of SVB Leerink, Moderna is on track to hit $86 this year, which implies downside of 42% in the company's shares. Most people are probably familiar with Moderna given the role it's played in combatting the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The company's vaccine, mRNA-1273, produced a 94.1% vaccine efficacy (VE) in U.S. clinical trials, which were reported in November 2020. To date, it's one of only three vaccines to have generated a VE of 90% or higher. Although VE isn't the only measure of success for COVID-19 vaccines, it's the headline figure a lot of people are using when deciding which vaccines or booster shot to receive. To add, the mutability of the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19 is a potential positive for Moderna. While we'd prefer to see COVID-19 go away completely or mutate into less-severe forms, new variants of the disease provide Moderna with recurring revenue opportunities, either with booster shots or variant-specific vaccines. However, competition among COVID-19 treatments is only growing. Aside from COVID-19-specific vaccines still in development, competitors are working on influenza/COVID-19 combination vaccines that could prove more appealing. Also, oral treatments are in the works for a handful of companies. This all brings into question how long Moderna can hang onto its share of COVID-19 treatment revenue. What's more, Moderna's only source of recurring revenue is mRNA-1273. Even with shares of the company retracing 70% from an all-time high, investors are still paying $60 billion for a company that has only one therapy generating sales. In my view, it makes Moderna a risky bet, even after its significant pullback.Image source: Getty Images.Transocean: Implied decline of 69%A third popular stock with the potential to plunge in 2022 is offshore oil-drilling company Transocean (NYSE:RIG). Despite its shares falling 98% since peaking in 2007, one Wall Street investment bank foresees Transocean hitting $1 per share this year, implying further downside of 69% from where it closed on Jan. 27.If there is good news for the company, it's that oil prices are soaring. West Texas Intermediate crude and Brent crude recently surpassed $87/barrel and $90/barrel, respectively. Although deepwater drilling, which is what Transocean specializes in, can be quite costly, the highest price for crude since 2014 offer more than enough incentive for exploration and production (E&P) companies to contract with Transocean at these prices. The company's backlog also appears to suggest that E&P companies are comfortable with crude oil prices for the foreseeable future. Transocean ended 2021 with a $7.1 billion contract backlog, which equates to almost three years' worth of revenue. However, the big concern for Transocean is the company's balance sheet. At the end of September, it had $900 million in cash and cash equivalents and $7.3 billion in total debt. With the Federal Reserve set to begin raising lending rates, highly indebted companies like Transocean are getting put under the microscope by Wall Street.Furthermore, Transocean's deepwater rig utilization rates aren't that impressive. Even with higher crude prices and contract dayrates improving, total fleet utilization was just 53% in the third quarter, which was down from 65% in Q3 2020. There's clearly concern from E&P companies about making new multiyear commitments with the pandemic still ongoing. While I don't expect the most bearish outlook of a $1 price target to come to fruition, it's hard to see Transocean's shares gaining much traction without a significant debt reduction and/or vast improvement in rig utilization.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"833266":1,"833427":1,"833454":1,"833509":1,"833523":1,"833819":1,"833873":1,"833874":1,"833994":1,"VE":1,"FSD":1,"TSLA":1,"MRNA":1,"RIG":1,"BNTX":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":396,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":819489479,"gmtCreate":1630087846991,"gmtModify":1676530222089,"author":{"id":"3555261138218608","authorId":"3555261138218608","name":"fabio","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8da22244b65eeb511fac3b0633934760","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3555261138218608","authorIdStr":"3555261138218608"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"So many evs","listText":"So many evs","text":"So many evs","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":6,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/819489479","repostId":"1123342356","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":405,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[{"author":{"id":"3569809505691000","authorId":"3569809505691000","name":"breAkdaWn","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/4c3676c14de9bfcd6f45bcf7ba4ddb6c","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"idStr":"3569809505691000","authorIdStr":"3569809505691000"},"content":"Tes Exactly too many EVs..too much safety issues! wouldnt want to sit on top of an explosive battery!","text":"Tes Exactly too many EVs..too much safety issues! wouldnt want to sit on top of an explosive battery!","html":"Tes Exactly too many EVs..too much safety issues! wouldnt want to sit on top of an explosive battery!"}],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":832948149,"gmtCreate":1629576750881,"gmtModify":1676530071663,"author":{"id":"3555261138218608","authorId":"3555261138218608","name":"fabio","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8da22244b65eeb511fac3b0633934760","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3555261138218608","authorIdStr":"3555261138218608"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"60k soon","listText":"60k soon","text":"60k soon","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":6,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/832948149","repostId":"2161149745","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":372,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":805985555,"gmtCreate":1627840528477,"gmtModify":1703496437578,"author":{"id":"3555261138218608","authorId":"3555261138218608","name":"fabio","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8da22244b65eeb511fac3b0633934760","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3555261138218608","authorIdStr":"3555261138218608"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Oh crap. At that time, three software updates were announced: the iOS 11, macOS High Sierra and tvOS. Also, hardware updates were unveiled, including the Mac, iPad and HomePod.\nLooking at the performance of Apple shares a week before until the end of the event, AAPL investors did not show much enthusiasm. The stock moved 3% lower, trading at that time at $37.\nFigure 2: AAPL 2017 chart.\nWWDC 2018: modest climb\nIn 2018, WWDC was held from June 4 to June 8. iOS 12 was announced, and so were software updates for Mac and Watch. This time, there were no hardware announcements.\nFigure 3: AAPL 2018 chart.\nFrom one week prior until the end of the event, WWDC 2018 may have brought optimism to investors, as shares climbed by 2%, trading at that time at nearly $48.\nWWDC 2019: the start of the ramp\nThe 2019 conference was held from June 3 to June 7. iOS 13 and other software updates were announced for the Mac, Watch, TV and iPad. Apple also launched hardware updates on Mac.\nApple stock behaved well, rising nearly 7% from a week before to the end of the event. In 2019, WWDC coincided with the beginning of a massive climb in AAPL share price that lasted until the end of the year.\nFigure 4: AAPL 2019 chart.\nWWDC 2020: riding the recovery\nFor the first time, the 2020 version of WWDC was held online because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The conference happened from June 22 to June 26. At that time, iOS 14 was announced, alongside iPad, Watch, TV and Mac software updates. The highlight of the event was the announced transition to custom ARM processors for Mac.\nThe stock was rebounding from the COVID-19 stock market crash at that time. Looking back at the period between a week prior to and the end of the event, shares were up 3%.\nFigure 5: AAPL 2020 chart.\nWhat history suggests\nIt is hard to predict how Apple stock will behave in the near future. However, looking back at history, we can draw a few conclusions about AAPL share price behavior around WWDC in the last 5 years.\nExcept for the 2017 conference, Apple caught an updraft around the WWDC weeks. Whether the performance is related to the event itself is a matter of interpretation.\nWhat to expect of WWDC 2021\nFor this year’s WWDC, Apple will likely release the usual software updates. For investors, possible updates on the products and services front would be most meaningful.\nA possible successor for the M1 chip, a 27-inc Mac, a new MacBook Pro, updates on AR and VR technology and even hints about the Apple Car would certainly be highlights. Any of these potential developments, even if unlikely to happen, could give an extra impulse for Apple shares in the short- and mid-terms.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"AAPL":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":363,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9075185780,"gmtCreate":1658167815141,"gmtModify":1676536114929,"author":{"id":"3555261138218608","authorId":"3555261138218608","name":"fabio","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8da22244b65eeb511fac3b0633934760","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3555261138218608","authorIdStr":"3555261138218608"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Went neg mid day again! When valuations are in a general decline, as they are right now, it can be a great time to dig in and look for companies that have long-term potential. Smart investors use corrections and bear markets to provide extra juice for future returns.Technology stocks have led the decline, as their prior gains led to lofty valuation levels. But there have been meaningful drops in all sectors, and investors can use this market decline to add a diverse mix of holdings with solid businesses, despite recent stock declines. Here are three stocks that have dropped between 25% and 35% this year but offer investors diversity and solid long-term prospects.Strong sales growthA good mix of three such businesses that should continue to have solid future growth are Tesla, Home Depot, and GPS device maker Garmin. When the biggest knock on a stock is its valuation, a bear market offers a chance to reevaluate whether it belongs in your portfolio.Heading into this year, Tesla shares returned more than 1,000% over the prior two and a half years. Home Depot gained about 120% in that time, pushing the valuations of both stocks ahead of the businesses themselves. In some environments, that's OK, and the business results will catch up quickly. But in the current environment, the stocks started to correct as supply chain challenges, the onset of inflation, and rising interest rates raised questions about business results in the near-term future. But in the longer term, sales growth should continue for these companies.Tesla believes rising demand, and its two new manufacturing plants that opened this year in Texas and Germany, will help it achieve 50% annual sales growth for several more years. Garmin has been riding a long-term wave of growing interest in outdoor activities. Sales of its popular GPS-enabled products rose 19% in 2021, capping off six straight years of increasing revenue. And Home Depot has also worked to increase its revenue by 50% over the past five years.HD Revenue (Annual) data by YChartsFalling to the bottom lineMuch of that revenue for all three companies is also reaching the bottom line. Tesla stands out among automakers with an impressive operating margin of 19.2% in the first quarter. When looked at on a trailing 12-month (TTM) basis, the improvement seems even more impressive, and is more than twice what traditional automakers like General Motors and Ford have been able to achieve over the last several years.TSLA Operating Margin (TTM) data by YChartsGarmin's profitability is even more impressive, as it has steadily achieved gross margins approaching 60%, and operating margins have been hovering around 25% over the past two years. Why invest now?Whether to invest in these businesses now still should be determined by what looks to come ahead, not from past performance. But all three look to continue their recent success. Garmin grew revenue 9% in the first quarter, and maintains its estimate for more than a 10% increase for the full year versus 2021. Management also showed its confidence by announcing a newly authorized $300 million share repurchase plan. The share buyback would be the first in four years and complements a reliable dividend that recently yielded 2.6%.Home Depot initiated a multiyear investment program in 2017 that has helped its digital sales soar. But the One Home Depot plan also now focuses on growing its professionals business. Increasing that customer base helped its average sales ticket grow by 11.4% in the first quarter versus the prior-year period. The company expects that improvement to continue.Tesla's astounding sales growth doesn't make the stock cheap by traditional valuation metrics. Even after its recent drop, Tesla shares trade at a sky-high price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of 133 based on 2021 earnings. But if sales continue to soar 50% annually as expected, that will continue to move down. That will take some time, however, and is another reason that these are being looked at as investments for the long haul. That valuation may mean limited upside in Tesla shares for a few years. But that's how retirement savings should be invested. Many years from now, investments in Tesla, Home Depot, and Garmin made today will likely become important parts of a retirement portfolio.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"HD":0.82,"GRMN":0.9,"TSLA":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":665,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9025635664,"gmtCreate":1653670799658,"gmtModify":1676535324576,"author":{"id":"3555261138218608","authorId":"3555261138218608","name":"fabio","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8da22244b65eeb511fac3b0633934760","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3555261138218608","authorIdStr":"3555261138218608"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Why still down?
