Priced at $149,990, it was to feature a range of 520 miles, thanks to its innovative 4680 battery cells, 1,100 horsepower and the ability to speed from 0 to 60 mph in less than two seconds.</p>\n<p>Instead, the company has begun delivering a new Model S Plaid that has only a 390-mile range and 1,020 horsepower, though it still sprints to from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just two seconds.</p>\n<p>As a way to “sugar coat” its flip flop, Tesla said the Model S Plaid is just as fast as the Model S Plaid Plus and $20,000 cheaper. Humm.</p>\n<p>This “bait and switch” has some Tesla fans worried, since they had deposits on the Model S Plaid Plus and wanted the innovative 4680 battery cells that Tesla had been touting as the key to longer range and more power. Essentially, the 4680 battery cells were the latest great Tesla development, since they were the first batteries to also be a structural component that supposedly allowed Tesla to lower the weight of its vehicles.</p>\n<p>Both the company’s Austin and Berlin manufacturing plants now under construction are supposed to also be making the 4680 batteries for new Tesla vehicles. If there is a problem with the engineering associated with utilizing the 4680 batteries or making them a structural component, then Tesla has grossly miscalculated, which is now worrying investors.</p>\n<p>Clearly something happened to delay the 4680 batteries that were supposed to provide Tesla with a competitive and engineering edge. For Tesla’s sake, I hope they figure out the problems associated with their much hyped 4680 battery cells, otherwise concerns about its two new manufacturing plants will emerge, as well as the stock losing more of its “mojo.”</p>\n<p>As someone who owns more than a few high-performance vehicles, I can tell you that the engineering geeks I know do<i>not</i>want to get a new Model S Plaid instead of a Model S Plaid Plus and will likely ask for their deposits back.</p>\n<p>What Tesla did is like Ferrari or Porsche telling its customers that one of their much-hyped new performance models is now not being sold because the base model was just as good! Car fanatics, like myself, like the latest and greatest engineering tidbits, so we would rather cancel our orders versus settle for a base model.</p>\n<p>The good news for Tesla is that its China sales in May resurged to 21,936, up sharply from 11,671 in April. The company’s sales tend to spike at the end of each quarter. For example, Tesla sold 35,478 vehicles in China in March, which was the strongest month ever in China.</p>\n<p>This is raising expectations for very strong China sales in June, especially now that the Model Y is being manufactured in Shanghai. Interestingly, since most Chinese Teslas are now made with iron phosphate batteries, these vehicles have lower range than its lithium cobalt vehicles, but its iron phosphate vehicles are cheaper and now increasingly being exported to Europe.</p>\n<p>However, I’m convinced another electric vehicle (EV) company will eventually displace Tesla as the biggest manufacturer of EVs in China.</p>\n<p><b>Taking Advantage of the EV Revolution’s Profit Potential</b></p>\n<p>I’m talking about <b>Nio, Inc.</b>(NYSE:<b>NIO</b>). The reality is that this company is on the verge of dominating the EV market in China and Hong Kong. It’s why I put NIO on my<b><i>Platinum Growth Club</i></b>Model Portfolio back in February.</p>\n<p>The company boasts that it is the “next-generation car company,” as it designs and manufactures electric vehicles that utilize the latest technologies in connectivity, autonomous driving and artificial intelligence (AI). NIO currently offers an electric seven-seater SUV (ES8) and a five-seater electric SUV (ES6) and recently introduced an attractive electric sedan (ET7). Its vehicles utilize NOMI, an in-vehicle artificial intelligence assistant.</p>\n<p>The company is also partnering with cutting-edge chip companies like<b>NVIDIA Corporation</b>(NASDAQ:<b>NVDA</b>), another one of my<b><i>Platinum Growth Club</i></b>Model Portfolio stocks. NIO plans to use the NVIDIA DRIVE Orin system-on-a-chip for its electric vehicles that will provide autonomous driving capabilities. The NVIDIA DRIVE Orin-powered supercomputer, which is being called Adam, will be launched in the ET7 sedan in China in 2022. Announcements like this are very positive, so NIO has been stealing some of Tesla’s thunder lately.</p>\n<p>Now, it’s important to note that NIO was bailed out by the Chinese government. Last year, the Chinese government injected $1 billion and now has a 24% ownership in the company. The reality is that China wants to dominate at least five major industries by 2025, and NIO is now its ticket to dominate EV manufacturing.</p>\n<p>With the backing of the Chinese government, some Wall Street firms are eager to help NIO by issuing new debt or equity. So, I wouldn’t be surprised if NIO surpasses Tesla, which is currently number-two in China, for market share in the upcoming years.</p>\n<p>That means, if you missed Tesla’s parabolic run like I did, NIO is essentially giving us a “second chance” to make money in a potentially explosive electric vehicle company.</p>\n<p>Shares of NIO climbed nearly 13% since the company’s June 4 announcement of its May delivery report and positive analyst comments, while Tesla shares rose almost 3%. First, NIO revealed that the global chip shortage is starting to take a toll on its business. NIO only delivered 6,711 vehicles in May, or a 5.5% decline from April’s deliveries. Company management noted that deliveries were “adversely impacted for several days due to the volatility of semiconductor supply and certain logistical adjustments.”</p>\n<p>Interestingly, despite the month-to-month dip, NIO’s deliveries were still up 95.3% year-over-year. He added that the company was prioritising automotive customers.</p>\n<p>Tuesday's expansion is in addition to the company's previously announced plan to invest $1.4 billion in 2021 alone to expand its manufacturing capacity.</p>\n<p>The chip shortage, which began in earnest in late December, was caused in part by automakers miscalculating demand for semiconductors in the pandemic. It was aggravated by electronics manufacturers placing more chip orders as work-from-home practices fuelled a surge in sales of computers and other devices.</p>\n<p>Large chipmakers including Intel Corp have warned that the shortage will last well into next year. Intel announced in March a $20 billion plan to expand its advanced chip making capacity, while Taiwan's TSMC said in April it will invest $100 billion over the next three years.</p>\n<p>As well, governments, including those of the United States and Japan, have intervened to urge faster supplies. Earlier this month, the United States approved $54 billion in funds to increase U.S. production and research into semiconductors and telecom equipment.</p>\n<p>Caulfield said funding for GlobalFoundries' expansion plan included investments from governments and pre-payments from customers.</p>\n<p>The $4 billion investment in Singapore is the first of a phased expansion programme planned by the company for the next five to 10 years, the CEO said. That’s almost double the 23% return for the real estate sector, which is the second-best sector. The S&P 500 is up nearly 12% this year.\nEnergy’s big start to the year means that even if the sector goes nowhere for the rest of 2021, it will still be the best year since 1990 by nearly 10%, according to Bay Crest Partners chief market technician Jonathan Krinsky.\nThe surge in energy stocks comes on the back of a recovery in oil prices, and as investors return to areas of the market that were left out of 2020′s rebound from the pandemic lows. The sector was also starting from a low base. In 2020, the group fell 37.3% for its worst performance since inception in 1989.\nKrinsky is among those saying the upside move is overdone, and his call is to sell crude oil and energy stocks broadly. From a technical standpoint, he noted that the $420 to $450 level acted as support — a floor — for the group during the last decade. But then during the Covid sell-off, the sector plunged below that key level — breaking below $200 — as the pandemic ground economies around the world to a halt.\n\nThe S&P Energy Sector has since recovered and traded as high as $420 on Thursday, inching closer to their prior support level, which now acts as resistance, or where an uptrend could be expected to reverse.\n“Oftentimes when you break a very important support like that, once you come back and test it as resistance, it’s difficult to exceed that — at least on the first try,” Krinsky noted.\nGauging performance from Jan. 1 might seem arbitrary, but he added that the sector’s outperformance is notable from virtually any date. Over the last eight months, the group has returned over 90%, which Krinsky says is more than two times the prior largest such gain over the last three decades.\n“Even on a rolling basis this is somewhat unprecedented,” he said. His bearish call on the sector also stems from other commodities breaking down, including lumber and copper. Bank of America recently noted that the entire sector makes up just 2% of the average long-only portfolio, or less than half the allocation toward Facebook, which sits at 4.2%.\nEnergy still comprises a tiny portion of the S&P 500, but as the sector’s weighting grows, fund managers who shun the space could risk returns.\nMRB Partners on Thursday reiterated its overweight rating on the group, saying the recovery in demand for petroleum products, coupled with ongoing supply constraints, should push oil prices higher, leading to further returns for energy stocks.\n“Strengthening cash flows, leaner cost structures, and better capital discipline position the industry to moderately increase capital returns to shareholders,” strategists led by Salvatore Ruscitti wrote in a note to clients. “Relative performance will benefit from the reflationary backdrop and our expectations for a softer U.S. dollar.”\nWhen it comes to specific stocks, Gilman Hill Asset Management CEO Jenny Harrington owns names includingChevron,OneokandKinder Morgan. She noted on Thursday’s“Halftime Report”that it’s important to look at the whole picture. While oil is at its highest level in nearly two and a half years, it’s trading at about half the level it was just a few years ago. The company is also developing new revenue streams, aiming to become a digital payments “super app,” expanding into everything from Bitcoin to in-store QR-codes, international money transfers, and new peer-to-peer (P2P) services.</p>\n<p>PayPal outlined its five-year strategy in a presentation to investors last week. And some analysts were clearly impressed. Lisa Ellis of MoffettNathanson raised her price target on the stock to $350, reflecting a variety of sources of growth.</p>\n<p>Just about every facet of the business may bepoisedto double over the next five years. PayPal expects to have 750 million active accounts by 2025, up from 377 million now. It sees total payments volume expanding at a 25% annualized rate, reaching $2.8 trillion by 2025. Revenues are expected to hit more than $50 billion, up from an estimated $25.6 billion this year.</p>\n<p>PayPal also expects to boost adjusted operating margins from 25% to 28%, and sees earnings per share rising an average 22% a year. It’s planning to generate $40 billion in free cash flow over the next five years, targeting 30% to 40% for share repurchases.</p>\n<p>As Ellis points out, PayPal has several stepping stones to hit those targets. One is a new service called Buy Now Pay Later, an interest-free installment plan for consumer purchases. The service is gaining traction, with $750 million of transaction volume in the fourth quarter.</p>\n<p>Anothergrowth driveris cryptocurrencies. PayPal users can now buy and store Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on its app. The company aims to allow crypto to be used as a funding source with the 28 million merchants on its platform, acting as a middleman between consumers and businesses. Bitcoinhit a record$50,000 on Tuesday, up 75% this year, and it appears to be driving greater usage of PayPal, which could ultimately lead to higher average revenue per customer.</p>\n<p>PayPal also aims to use its Venmo P2P service as a platform for consumer-to-business payments. And PayPal is making inroads with brick-and-mortar merchants through QR technology for contactless payments in stores.</p>\n<p>Does all of this warrant a higher market value and a steep premium to Mastercard stock? The card network is actually expected to lift revenue and profits at a faster pace in fiscal 2021, according to Ellis, growing revenue 21.7% versus 19% for PayPal. She also sees Mastercard’s earnings per share rising 33.3% versus 17.5% for PayPal’s.</p>\n<p>But the five-year outlook is clearly more favorable for PayPal, with revenue rising 21% a year, compared with 15% for Mastercard, and earnings compounding at a 22% rate, versus 17% for Mastercard.</p>\n<p>The question is whether PayPal’s valuation is getting too rich. At 67 times estimated 2021 per-share earnings, PayPal stock is trading nearly three times more expensive than the S&P 500’s P/E ratio of 23 times earnings. Mastercard goes for 42 times 2021 earnings.</p>\n<p>Nonetheless, Wall Street can’t seem to catch up with PayPal’s fast-rising stock. PayPal’s market value is now $359 billion.Mastercard‘s equity, meanwhile, was worth $339 billion at recent prices around $341.\nMastercard (MA) andVisa(V), the two major card-processing networks, have been hurt by a slowdown in payment volumes related to the pandemic, particularly in highly profitable cross-border transactions. Both stocks are down around 4% this year and are largely flat over the past 52 weeks.\nPayPal, on the other hand, got a lift as the pandemic sent shoppers online and fueled a surge in digital payments. The company is also developing new revenue streams, aiming to become a digital payments “super app,” expanding into everything from Bitcoin to in-store QR-codes, international money transfers, and new peer-to-peer (P2P) services.\nPayPal outlined its five-year strategy in a presentation to investors last week. And some analysts were clearly impressed. Lisa Ellis of MoffettNathanson raised her price target on the stock to $350, reflecting a variety of sources of growth.\nJust about every facet of the business may bepoisedto double over the next five years. PayPal expects to have 750 million active accounts by 2025, up from 377 million now. It sees total payments volume expanding at a 25% annualized rate, reaching $2.8 trillion by 2025. Revenues are expected to hit more than $50 billion, up from an estimated $25.6 billion this year.\nPayPal also expects to boost adjusted operating margins from 25% to 28%, and sees earnings per share rising an average 22% a year. It’s planning to generate $40 billion in free cash flow over the next five years, targeting 30% to 40% for share repurchases.\nAs Ellis points out, PayPal has several stepping stones to hit those targets. One is a new service called Buy Now Pay Later, an interest-free installment plan for consumer purchases. The service is gaining traction, with $750 million of transaction volume in the fourth quarter.\nAnothergrowth driveris cryptocurrencies. PayPal users can now buy and store Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on its app. The company aims to allow crypto to be used as a funding source with the 28 million merchants on its platform, acting as a middleman between consumers and businesses. Bitcoinhit a record$50,000 on Tuesday, up 75% this year, and it appears to be driving greater usage of PayPal, which could ultimately lead to higher average revenue per customer.\nPayPal also aims to use its Venmo P2P service as a platform for consumer-to-business payments. And PayPal is making inroads with brick-and-mortar merchants through QR technology for contactless payments in stores.\nDoes all of this warrant a higher market value and a steep premium to Mastercard stock? The card network is actually expected to lift revenue and profits at a faster pace in fiscal 2021, according to Ellis, growing revenue 21.7% versus 19% for PayPal. She also sees Mastercard’s earnings per share rising 33.3% versus 17.5% for PayPal’s.\nBut the five-year outlook is clearly more favorable for PayPal, with revenue rising 21% a year, compared with 15% for Mastercard, and earnings compounding at a 22% rate, versus 17% for Mastercard.\nThe question is whether PayPal’s valuation is getting too rich. At 67 times estimated 2021 per-share earnings, PayPal stock is trading nearly three times more expensive than the S&P 500’s P/E ratio of 23 times earnings. Mastercard goes for 42 times 2021 earnings.\nNonetheless, Wall Street can’t seem to catch up with PayPal’s fast-rising stock. Priced at $149,990, it was to feature a range of 520 miles, thanks to its innovative 4680 battery cells, 1,100 horsepower and the ability to speed from 0 to 60 mph in less than two seconds.</p>\n<p>Instead, the company has begun delivering a new Model S Plaid that has only a 390-mile range and 1,020 horsepower, though it still sprints to from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just two seconds.</p>\n<p>As a way to “sugar coat” its flip flop, Tesla said the Model S Plaid is just as fast as the Model S Plaid Plus and $20,000 cheaper. Humm.</p>\n<p>This “bait and switch” has some Tesla fans worried, since they had deposits on the Model S Plaid Plus and wanted the innovative 4680 battery cells that Tesla had been touting as the key to longer range and more power. Essentially, the 4680 battery cells were the latest great Tesla development, since they were the first batteries to also be a structural component that supposedly allowed Tesla to lower the weight of its vehicles.</p>\n<p>Both the company’s Austin and Berlin manufacturing plants now under construction are supposed to also be making the 4680 batteries for new Tesla vehicles. If there is a problem with the engineering associated with utilizing the 4680 batteries or making them a structural component, then Tesla has grossly miscalculated, which is now worrying investors.</p>\n<p>Clearly something happened to delay the 4680 batteries that were supposed to provide Tesla with a competitive and engineering edge. For Tesla’s sake, I hope they figure out the problems associated with their much hyped 4680 battery cells, otherwise concerns about its two new manufacturing plants will emerge, as well as the stock losing more of its “mojo.”</p>\n<p>As someone who owns more than a few high-performance vehicles, I can tell you that the engineering geeks I know do<i>not</i>want to get a new Model S Plaid instead of a Model S Plaid Plus and will likely ask for their deposits back.</p>\n<p>What Tesla did is like Ferrari or Porsche telling its customers that one of their much-hyped new performance models is now not being sold because the base model was just as good! Car fanatics, like myself, like the latest and greatest engineering tidbits, so we would rather cancel our orders versus settle for a base model.</p>\n<p>The good news for Tesla is that its China sales in May resurged to 21,936, up sharply from 11,671 in April. The company’s sales tend to spike at the end of each quarter. For example, Tesla sold 35,478 vehicles in China in March, which was the strongest month ever in China.</p>\n<p>This is raising expectations for very strong China sales in June, especially now that the Model Y is being manufactured in Shanghai. Interestingly, since most Chinese Teslas are now made with iron phosphate batteries, these vehicles have lower range than its lithium cobalt vehicles, but its iron phosphate vehicles are cheaper and now increasingly being exported to Europe.</p>\n<p>However, I’m convinced another electric vehicle (EV) company will eventually displace Tesla as the biggest manufacturer of EVs in China.</p>\n<p><b>Taking Advantage of the EV Revolution’s Profit Potential</b></p>\n<p>I’m talking about <b>Nio, Inc.</b>(NYSE:<b>NIO</b>). The reality is that this company is on the verge of dominating the EV market in China and Hong Kong. It’s why I put NIO on my<b><i>Platinum Growth Club</i></b>Model Portfolio back in February.</p>\n<p>The company boasts that it is the “next-generation car company,” as it designs and manufactures electric vehicles that utilize the latest technologies in connectivity, autonomous driving and artificial intelligence (AI). NIO currently offers an electric seven-seater SUV (ES8) and a five-seater electric SUV (ES6) and recently introduced an attractive electric sedan (ET7). Its vehicles utilize NOMI, an in-vehicle artificial intelligence assistant.</p>\n<p>The company is also partnering with cutting-edge chip companies like<b>NVIDIA Corporation</b>(NASDAQ:<b>NVDA</b>), another one of my<b><i>Platinum Growth Club</i></b>Model Portfolio stocks. NIO plans to use the NVIDIA DRIVE Orin system-on-a-chip for its electric vehicles that will provide autonomous driving capabilities. The NVIDIA DRIVE Orin-powered supercomputer, which is being called Adam, will be launched in the ET7 sedan in China in 2022. Announcements like this are very positive, so NIO has been stealing some of Tesla’s thunder lately.</p>\n<p>Now, it’s important to note that NIO was bailed out by the Chinese government. Last year, the Chinese government injected $1 billion and now has a 24% ownership in the company. The reality is that China wants to dominate at least five major industries by 2025, and NIO is now its ticket to dominate EV manufacturing.</p>\n<p>With the backing of the Chinese government, some Wall Street firms are eager to help NIO by issuing new debt or equity. So, I wouldn’t be surprised if NIO surpasses Tesla, which is currently number-two in China, for market share in the upcoming years.</p>\n<p>That means, if you missed Tesla’s parabolic run like I did, NIO is essentially giving us a “second chance” to make money in a potentially explosive electric vehicle company.</p>\n<p>Shares of NIO climbed nearly 13% since the company’s June 4 announcement of its May delivery report and positive analyst comments, while Tesla shares rose almost 3%. First, NIO revealed that the global chip shortage is starting to take a toll on its business. NIO only delivered 6,711 vehicles in May, or a 5.5% decline from April’s deliveries. Company management noted that deliveries were “adversely impacted for several days due to the volatility of semiconductor supply and certain logistical adjustments.”</p>\n<p>Interestingly, despite the month-to-month dip, NIO’s deliveries were still up 95.3% year-over-year. NIO plans to use the NVIDIA DRIVE Orin system-on-a-chip for its electric vehicles that will provide autonomous driving capabilities. The NVIDIA DRIVE Orin-powered supercomputer, which is being called Adam, will be launched in the ET7 sedan in China in 2022. Announcements like this are very positive, so NIO has been stealing some of Tesla’s thunder lately.\nNow, it’s important to note that NIO was bailed out by the Chinese government. Last year, the Chinese government injected $1 billion and now has a 24% ownership in the company. The reality is that China wants to dominate at least five major industries by 2025, and NIO is now its ticket to dominate EV manufacturing.\nWith the backing of the Chinese government, some Wall Street firms are eager to help NIO by issuing new debt or equity. So, I wouldn’t be surprised if NIO surpasses Tesla, which is currently number-two in China, for market share in the upcoming years.\nThat means, if you missed Tesla’s parabolic run like I did, NIO is essentially giving us a “second chance” to make money in a potentially explosive electric vehicle company.\nShares of NIO climbed nearly 13% since the company’s June 4 announcement of its May delivery report and positive analyst comments, while Tesla shares rose almost 3%. First, NIO revealed that the global chip shortage is starting to take a toll on its business. NIO only delivered 6,711 vehicles in May, or a 5.5% decline from April’s deliveries. Company management noted that deliveries were “adversely impacted for several days due to the volatility of semiconductor supply and certain logistical adjustments.”\nInterestingly, despite the month-to-month dip, NIO’s deliveries were still up 95.3% year-over-year. Those may be potential catalysts. All year long, we’ve seen these big rallies gently top out, then give us a sharp yet mild correction into support.</p>\n<p>Those support levels have varied throughout 2021, but have generally been a combination of the 50-day and 21-week moving averages.</p>\n<p>Most recently in May and June, the 21-week moving average was strong support, generating significant rebounds on three different occasions. The last bounce was enough to propel Microsoft to new all-time highs.</p>\n<p>That’s after the stock cleared $263.19. From here, I would love to see Microsoft find support between $260 and $263.20, as well as from the 10-day moving average. If it does find these areas as support, dips to these measures could be short-term buying opportunities.</p>\n<p>A break of these measures could put the 21-day moving average in play, followed by the 50-day.</p>\n<p>Perhaps the company’s Windows event won’t be enough of a catalyst (given the leaks), but we could get a pre-earnings rally up to more news highs. That’s almost double the 23% return for the real estate sector, which is the second-best sector. The S&P 500 is up nearly 12% this year.\nEnergy’s big start to the year means that even if the sector goes nowhere for the rest of 2021, it will still be the best year since 1990 by nearly 10%, according to Bay Crest Partners chief market technician Jonathan Krinsky.\nThe surge in energy stocks comes on the back of a recovery in oil prices, and as investors return to areas of the market that were left out of 2020′s rebound from the pandemic lows. The sector was also starting from a low base. In 2020, the group fell 37.3% for its worst performance since inception in 1989.\nKrinsky is among those saying the upside move is overdone, and his call is to sell crude oil and energy stocks broadly. From a technical standpoint, he noted that the $420 to $450 level acted as support — a floor — for the group during the last decade. But then during the Covid sell-off, the sector plunged below that key level — breaking below $200 — as the pandemic ground economies around the world to a halt.\n\nThe S&P Energy Sector has since recovered and traded as high as $420 on Thursday, inching closer to their prior support level, which now acts as resistance, or where an uptrend could be expected to reverse.\n“Oftentimes when you break a very important support like that, once you come back and test it as resistance, it’s difficult to exceed that — at least on the first try,” Krinsky noted.\nGauging performance from Jan. 1 might seem arbitrary, but he added that the sector’s outperformance is notable from virtually any date. Over the last eight months, the group has returned over 90%, which Krinsky says is more than two times the prior largest such gain over the last three decades.\n“Even on a rolling basis this is somewhat unprecedented,” he said. His bearish call on the sector also stems from other commodities breaking down, including lumber and copper. Revenues are expected to hit more than $50 billion, up from an estimated $25.6 billion this year.</p>\n<p>PayPal also expects to boost adjusted operating margins from 25% to 28%, and sees earnings per share rising an average 22% a year. It’s planning to generate $40 billion in free cash flow over the next five years, targeting 30% to 40% for share repurchases.</p>\n<p>As Ellis points out, PayPal has several stepping stones to hit those targets. One is a new service called Buy Now Pay Later, an interest-free installment plan for consumer purchases. The service is gaining traction, with $750 million of transaction volume in the fourth quarter.</p>\n<p>Anothergrowth driveris cryptocurrencies. PayPal users can now buy and store Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on its app. The company aims to allow crypto to be used as a funding source with the 28 million merchants on its platform, acting as a middleman between consumers and businesses. She also sees Mastercard’s earnings per share rising 33.3% versus 17.5% for PayPal’s.</p>\n<p>But the five-year outlook is clearly more favorable for PayPal, with revenue rising 21% a year, compared with 15% for Mastercard, and earnings compounding at a 22% rate, versus 17% for Mastercard.</p>\n<p>The question is whether PayPal’s valuation is getting too rich. At 67 times estimated 2021 per-share earnings, PayPal stock is trading nearly three times more expensive than the S&P 500’s P/E ratio of 23 times earnings.
