During that upheaval, shares of Airbnb and Costco Wholesale dropped 60% and 25%, respectively. Some billionaire hedge fund managers have treated that drop as a buying opportunity.Since the beginning of the year, Jim Simons of Renaissance Technologies has doubled his stake in Airbnb and quadrupled his stake in Costco. Meanwhile, David Siegel of Two Sigma Advisors doubled his position in Airbnb, and David Shaw of D. E. Shaw & Co. tripled his position in Costco. Is it time to buy these two growth stocks?1. Airbnb: A disruptive force in the travel industryAirbnb took the travel industry by storm with its asset-light business model. Whereas typical hospitality companies spend millions of dollars to build a single hotel, Airbnb sources properties from 4 million global hosts and counting. That affords the company a significant advantage. Airbnb can more quickly and cost-effectively expand its inventory, and it can provide guests with a broader selection of travel properties -- anything from rural farmhouses and urban apartments to tropical treehouses and beachside bungalows.Airbnb delivered a strong third-quarter earnings report, in spite of the challenging economic environment. Revenue climbed 29% to $2.9 billion and free cash flow (FCF) soared 81% to $960 million, which equates to an impressive FCF margin of 33%. Shareholders have good reason to believe that momentum will continue. Airbnb has hardly scratched the surface of its $3.4 trillion addressable market, and its capacity for innovation should keep it at the forefront of the travel industry for years to come.In the past year, the company debuted several services that enhance its value proposition on both sides of the platform. For hosts, Airbnb launched reservation screening technology to reduce the chance of disruptive parties, and it expanded its free property damage insurance to $3 million in coverage, which ranks as the highest payout in the industry. For guests, Airbnb added dozens of search categories that build on its launch of flexible search parameters in the previous year. Those tools allow guests to identify specific property types (e.g. beachfront, countryside, vineyards) and discover stays in places they may have never thought to look. In other words, Airbnb is evolving into a travel recommendation engine that can point demand toward supply, helping the company utilize its inventory more effectively.Currently, shares trade at 7 times sales, the cheapest valuation since Airbnb went public in 2020. At that price, investors should seriously consider buying a small position in this disruptive growth stock.2. Costco Wholesale: A case study in operating efficiencyCostco is the third-largest retailer in the world. The company employs a membership-based business model that has drawn more than 120 million cardholders, due in large part to its reputation for bargain prices across a wide variety of merchandise, from food and gas to jewelry and pharmaceuticals.Costco achieved that success through operating expertise. The company carefully evaluates products based on quality and price, and it only keeps about 4,000 stock-keeping units (SKUs) in its warehouses, far less than the 30,000 SKUs found at most supermarkets. That reinforces the pricing power created by Costco's scale, as suppliers must compete for limited shelf space.Costco also develops a number of products internally through its Kirkland Signature private label. That vertical integration means the company can typically undercut the pricing of other national brands while still earning higher profit margins. In the most recent quarter, member traffic in Costco warehouses rose 3.9%, and the average ticket price increased 2.6%, evidencing its ability to grow in a difficult economic environment. In turn, revenue climbed 8% to $54.4 billion and earnings ticked 3% higher to $3.07 per diluted share.Going forward, Costco is well-positioned to grow its business as more consumers look for ways to save money. The company is also investing in several initiatives that should create more value for its members. That includes transitioning from vendor drop shipments to direct shipments through Costco Logistics, a last-mile delivery service that lowers the cost of merchandise and improves shipping times for buyers.Currently, shares trade at 34.7 times earnings, a slight discount to the five-year average of 36.2 times earnings. That certainly doesn't qualify as a bargain, but it's reasonable for investors to buy a very small position in this growth stock right now.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"ABNB":0.9,"COST":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":959,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9923685699,"gmtCreate":1670849478412,"gmtModify":1676538445373,"author":{"id":"3562994844328312","authorId":"3562994844328312","name":"Ginmihz","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/ab1926af0135809944ce1812f4621c05","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3562994844328312","idStr":"3562994844328312"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Lik","listText":"Lik","text":"Lik","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":6,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9923685699","repostId":"1175712501","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1175712501","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1670843529,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1175712501?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-12-12 19:12","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Slowing Growth Edges Out Inflation as Top Concern","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1175712501","media":"The Wall Street Journal","summary":"Stocks and bonds have headed in opposite directions to start December, a sign that investors’ worrie","content":"
\n
Stocks and bonds have headed in opposite directions to start December, a sign that investors’ worries about slowing growth have started to eclipse their fears of persistent inflation.Equity traders ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n","source":"wsj_highlight","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; Meanwhile, a rally this month has erased some of this year’s fixed-income rout in a bet that bond prices have already fallen far enough to reflect the full brunt ofexpected Federal Reserve interest-rate increases. The trades behind these trends suggest that recession is supplanting inflation as investors’ top concern heading into 2023. The labor market remains buoyant and Friday’sproducer-price datacame in hotter than expected, suggesting economic demand has stayed strong. But oil prices have fallen and shares of businesses that suffer when the economy slows have taken some of the biggest hits this month.Energy and financial stocks have been two of the worst-performing segments of the S&P 500 in December, falling by 9.3% and 5%, respectively, and lagging behind the broader index’s 3.6% decline. Natural-gas producerEQTCorp. is down 16% in December, and refinerValero Energy Corp. has lost 14%.Banks from giants such asWells Fargo& Co. to regional institutions such asM&T BankCorp.—each down 11% this month—have dived in December as well. Both sectors could be especially hard hit by a recession thatcuts demand for fueland threatens profits at financial companies.Airlines and logistics firms, also primed to struggle if a slowdown eats into demand for travel and freight, have fallen, too. The Dow Jones Transportation Average is down 6% in December, trailing the 3.2% slide for the Dow Jones Industrial Average.Cruise operatorCarnivalCorp. has lost 11% in December, and Host Hotels & ResortsInc. is down 6.6%.Meanwhile, government bonds have rallied, with the yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury touching 3.5% and its lowest levels in three months, according to Tradeweb, down from a recent high of 4.231% in October. Yields fall when bond prices rise. Many investors are betting that the economywill avoid a severe recession. But together, the market’s December moves are a sign thatthe possibility of a downturn—not merely expectations of slower inflation—is fueling the bond market’s recent rally, saidMichael Antonelli, a managing director at Baird.“The better part of this year was all about inflation worries, but that seems to have shifted,” Mr. Antonelli said. When a looming economic slowdown clouds the outlook for stocks, investors often buy bonds for their relative safety and stability. But for most of this year, stocks and bonds suffered in tandembecause inflation required the Fed to raise interest rates rapidly. Rates rose with little sign of damage to economic growth, hurting stocks and bonds alike.More recently, however, longer-term Treasury notes have marked bigger price gains than shorter-term notes, suggesting that traders think the Fed’s target rate could continue to climb before a recession forces the central bank to change course rapidly later next year, saidMatt Toms, global chief investment officer at Voya Investment Management. Thathas deepened the yield-curve inversionthat many on Wall Street take as an omen of a coming recession.Market-based inflation forecasts provide more evidence of recession fears. Traders’ expectations for the annual inflation rate over the next two, five and 10 years are all close to about 2.3%, nearly in line with the Fed’s 2% target, data from Tradeweb show. The fact that stocks have fallen even though investors aren’t worried that inflation will soar in the future is a sign that their concerns about economic growth are driving the declines, Mr. Toms said.Through November, thejob market has remained tightby historical standards and there islittle sign that consumer demandhas plummeted. Still, a wave ofcorporate layoffsis accelerating, especially among tech companies that expanded rapidly during the pandemic. Wall Street’s forecast for S&P 500 companies’ 2023 profits fell by 3.6% between Sept. 30 and Nov. 30 as investors evaluated how businesses fared in this year’s third quarter, according to research byJohn Butters, an analyst at FactSet.Mark Haefele, chief investment officer for global wealth management at UBS, wrote in a note to clients last week that stock prices still haven’t fallen enough this year to reflect the possibility of a deep economic downturn.A short stock rally that carried through October and November briefly lifted prices, but now, convergence between the stock and bond markets “is more likely to be led by equities pricing in a deteriorating earnings outlook,” Mr. Haefele wrote. That said, some economically sensitive shares have held up.Deere& Co.’s stock has bested broader indexes in December so far, falling 1.4%. On Wednesday, the equipment maker boosted its dividend by 6%. Paint companySherwin-WilliamsCo. has risen 1.5% this month despite fears that a recession could slam the housing market.Pivotal economic data coming this week will help investors gauge the outlook. Tuesday morning, investors will be watching the release of November’sconsumer-price datafor signs that inflation has continued to cool off from multidecade highs notched earlier this year. Economists polled by The Wall Street Journal are expecting the figures to show a 7.3% year-over-year rise in prices, down from 7.7% a month earlier. Then, Wednesday afternoon will bring the Fed’s latest decision on interest rates. Traders are confident that the central bank will ease the pace of its tightening by raising rates byhalf a percentage point, according to CME’s FedWatch tool, but they will be paying close attention to Fed officials’ projections about how rates are likely to move next year. For most of 2022, as alarm bells blared after every inflation report, good news for economic growth was taken as bad newsfor stock and bond investors worried about more rate increases, saidCindy Beaulieu, a managing director at asset manager Conning. Now, that pattern could weaken, she said.“In both the stock and the bond market, you’re coming around to the idea that you have a much higher risk of a recession next year,” Ms. Beaulieu said.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".IXIC":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1384,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"hots":[{"id":149757203,"gmtCreate":1625750599602,"gmtModify":1703747760302,"author":{"id":"3562994844328312","authorId":"3562994844328312","name":"Ginmihz","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/ab1926af0135809944ce1812f4621c05","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3562994844328312","idStr":"3562994844328312"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like","listText":"Like","text":"Like","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":8,"commentSize":54,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/149757203","repostId":"1197668591","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1197668591","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1625749319,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1197668591?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-07-08 21:01","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Auto Giant Looks To Catch Up To GM, Tesla On EVs With $35.5 Billion Move","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1197668591","media":"investors","summary":"Stellantis(STLA) detailed its strategy for electric vehicles Thursday, with the global EV market poi","content":"
Stellantis(STLA) detailed its strategy for electric vehicles Thursday, with the global EV market poised to boom this decade. Furthermore, with stocks at all time highs, it is to be expected that most of the June open interest is below the current SPX spot price. As shown in the chart below, the dual peaks are at 3,900 and 4,150. This means that after Friday, there may be a certain \"anti\"-gravity around those spots until gamma is refilled.
\n

\n
The Goldman strategist then explains what he believes is below the abnormally low level of realized market vol, noting that - as we discussed last week - it is consistent with long gamma positioning. Consider that SPXrealized volatility over the past 13 trading days has been just 5.1% - the lowest 13-day realized vol since 2019.
\n

\n
This contrasts with extreme volatility in pockets of the single stock market; AMC, which had the highest contract volume among single stocks last week (but far less notional volume at$7bln/day than AMZN’s leading $120bln/day), has had close to 400% realized vol over the same period.
\n

\n
Then, as Nomura's Charlie McElligott first noted last week, Goldman's derivatives team agrees thatthe extremely low SPX realized volatility is consistent with the possibility that 18-Jun has left “the street” long index gamma, in which case Fishman echoeswhat we said last week, namely that \"realized volatility could pick up once positions are cleaner. \"Meanwhile, the rising beta of VIX futures to the SPX indicates that investors expect short gamma dynamics to pick up should markets sell off. Translation:the market will become much more volatile in a selloff.
\n

\n
Meanwhile, and in keeping with the latest memo stock squeeze, Goldman also notes that while single stock option volumes continue to be high, it is well short of Q1 peaks. The large percentage of all single stock option activity driven by retail, and the predictive value of retail activity, have both heightened the attention on the single stock option market in recent weeks. Recent growth in single stock option activity has been concentrated in low-share-price stocks, leaving a shar prise in contract-volume over the past two weeks that has not been matched by notional volume. When adjusting notional volume for the size of the equity market, Goldman finds that single stock volume has actually been on the low of its 2021 range over the past two weeks which means that the latest ramps had little to no gamma squeeze components to them.
\n

\n
One final point which we discussed recently and which is in keeping with the growing retail participation in trading, is Goldman's observation that the trend toward shorter-dated SPX options (weeklies) and away from quarterlies, continues. That also is one of the reasons why Friday’s SPX expiration is smaller than many recent quarterlies, and why as it as approached expiration, its trading volume has been falling.
\n
As Goldman explains, investors have been increasingly adopting the full calendar of SPX expirations, including expirations every Monday and Wednesday, as they tailor their views around events. In fact, the percentage of SPX option volume happening in 3rd Friday expirations is at an all-time low,and is now smaller than the percentage happening in Monday and Wednesday expirations. One explanation for heightened ultra-short-dated volumes is the strong single stock volumes: and here an interest suggesting from Goldman - \"to the extent market makers are unable to cover the short single stock gamma generated by retail investors’ call buying, they may be actively trading long positions in strips of ultra-short-dated SPX index options to offset this gamma.\"
\n

\n
Why is this important? because if this trend is large enough, it directly contributes to low implied and realized correlation.Ironically, by ramping single name, \"most-shorted names\", retail investors are ushering a period of unorthodox calm across the rest of the market!
","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; Furthermore, with stocks at all time highs, it is to be expected that most of the June open interest is below the current SPX spot price. As shown in the chart below, the dual peaks are at 3,900 and 4,150. This means that after Friday, there may be a certain \"anti\"-gravity around those spots until gamma is refilled.\n\nThe Goldman strategist then explains what he believes is below the abnormally low level of realized market vol, noting that - as we discussed last week - it is consistent with long gamma positioning. Consider that SPXrealized volatility over the past 13 trading days has been just 5.1% - the lowest 13-day realized vol since 2019.\n\nThis contrasts with extreme volatility in pockets of the single stock market; AMC, which had the highest contract volume among single stocks last week (but far less notional volume at$7bln/day than AMZN’s leading $120bln/day), has had close to 400% realized vol over the same period.\n\nThen, as Nomura's Charlie McElligott first noted last week, Goldman's derivatives team agrees thatthe extremely low SPX realized volatility is consistent with the possibility that 18-Jun has left “the street” long index gamma, in which case Fishman echoeswhat we said last week, namely that \"realized volatility could pick up once positions are cleaner. \"Meanwhile, the rising beta of VIX futures to the SPX indicates that investors expect short gamma dynamics to pick up should markets sell off. Translation:the market will become much more volatile in a selloff.\n\nMeanwhile, and in keeping with the latest memo stock squeeze, Goldman also notes that while single stock option volumes continue to be high, it is well short of Q1 peaks. When adjusting notional volume for the size of the equity market, Goldman finds that single stock volume has actually been on the low of its 2021 range over the past two weeks which means that the latest ramps had little to no gamma squeeze components to them.\n\nOne final point which we discussed recently and which is in keeping with the growing retail participation in trading, is Goldman's observation that the trend toward shorter-dated SPX options (weeklies) and away from quarterlies, continues. That also is one of the reasons why Friday’s SPX expiration is smaller than many recent quarterlies, and why as it as approached expiration, its trading volume has been falling.\nAs Goldman explains, investors have been increasingly adopting the full calendar of SPX expirations, including expirations every Monday and Wednesday, as they tailor their views around events. In fact, the percentage of SPX option volume happening in 3rd Friday expirations is at an all-time low,and is now smaller than the percentage happening in Monday and Wednesday expirations. One explanation for heightened ultra-short-dated volumes is the strong single stock volumes: and here an interest suggesting from Goldman - \"to the extent market makers are unable to cover the short single stock gamma generated by retail investors’ call buying, they may be actively trading long positions in strips of ultra-short-dated SPX index options to offset this gamma.\"\n\nWhy is this important? because if this trend is large enough, it directly contributes to low implied and realized correlation.Ironically, by ramping single name, \"most-shorted names\", retail investors are ushering a period of unorthodox calm across the rest of the market!","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".DJI":0.9,"SPY":0.9,".SPX":0.9,".IXIC":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":758,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":150961171,"gmtCreate":1624883126193,"gmtModify":1703846924472,"author":{"id":"3562994844328312","authorId":"3562994844328312","name":"Ginmihz","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/ab1926af0135809944ce1812f4621c05","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3562994844328312","idStr":"3562994844328312"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Fill","listText":"Fill","text":"Fill","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":10,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/150961171","repostId":"1149431635","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":929,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":183292358,"gmtCreate":1623332138774,"gmtModify":1704201071166,"author":{"id":"3562994844328312","authorId":"3562994844328312","name":"Ginmihz","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/ab1926af0135809944ce1812f4621c05","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3562994844328312","idStr":"3562994844328312"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Fill","listText":"Fill","text":"Fill","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":8,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/183292358","repostId":"1128810191","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":665,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[{"author":{"id":"3573971289807577","authorId":"3573971289807577","name":"Jiaweiyeo","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8462f92e57666f0a1c33313146f61c9a","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"authorIdStr":"3573971289807577","idStr":"3573971289807577"},"content":"Like my comment","text":"Like my comment","html":"Like my comment"}],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9982890962,"gmtCreate":1667138526057,"gmtModify":1676537865862,"author":{"id":"3562994844328312","authorId":"3562994844328312","name":"Ginmihz","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/ab1926af0135809944ce1812f4621c05","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3562994844328312","idStr":"3562994844328312"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Liks","listText":"Liks","text":"Liks","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":11,"commentSize":3,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9982890962","repostId":"1148576482","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"1148576482","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1667099454,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1148576482?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-10-30 11:10","market":"us","language":"en","title":"The 7 Best Tech Stocks to Buy in November","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1148576482","media":"InvestorPlace","summary":"These best tech stocks to buy all feature low risk and deep discounts.Nvidia(NVDA): Shares appear si","content":"
\n
These best tech stocks to buy all feature low risk and deep discounts.Nvidia(NVDA): Shares appear significantly undervalued following a steep sell-off.Adobe(ADBE): Its income-statement performance is ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n","source":"investorplace","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; But the bullish long-term bias of the market tells us that stocks will almost certainly resume their uptrend. When they do, nearly all tech stocks should bounce to some extent, but the best tech stocks could soar.Historically, the broader market tends to perform well during the November-to-April timespan. Of course, this is no guarantee for success. Still, it adds a powerful backdrop for those looking to put capital to work in one of the more speculative sectors of the market. In searching for the best tech stocks to buy, we’re sticking with financial data. Leveraging the analytical tools ofGuruFocus.com, the below equities all feature fundamentally low risk and discounted prices. Here are the best tech stocks to buy in November.Nvidia (NVDA)A multinational technology firm, Nvidia(NASDAQ:NVDA) primarily garnered attention through its specialty in graphics processing units. However, the company also made significant investments in deep learning and protocols involving artificial intelligence. Currently, the company commands a market capitalization of $345 billion. On a year-to-date basis, NVDA is down 53%.Despite the steep losses, contrarian investors should consider gradually picking up shares.GuruFocus utilizes proprietary calculations to determine that NVDA stock is significantly undervalued. Based on more traditional metrics, Nvidia features excellent income-statement performance figures. For instance, the company’s three-year revenue growth rate stands at 31.3%. Its book growth rate during the aforementioned period hit 40.2%. Both stats rank at least near the 90th percentile for the industry. On the bottom line, Nvidia carries a net margin of 26%. This ranks above 87% of the competition. To top it off, NVDA is tethered to a strong balance sheet. Mainly, its Altman Z-Score is a lofty 12 points, reflecting extremely low bankruptcy risk. Thus, NVDA easily ranks among the best tech stocks to buy in November.Adobe (ADBE)Adobe(NASDAQ:ADBE) is a software company that mainly aligns with creatives. Historically, it’s known for the creation and publication of a wide range of content, including graphics, photography, illustration, animation, multimedia/video, motion pictures and print. Currently, Adobe carries a market cap of $151 billion after slipping 43% year to date.Again, based onGuruFocus’proprietary metrics, Adobe rates as significantly undervalued. One traditional metric regarding valuation to consider is its price-earnings-growth ratio of 1.09. This rates favorably below the industry median of 1.4 times. However, Adobe draws the most attention for its income statement-related performance. For example, the company’s three-year revenue growth rate and free cash flow growth rate stand at 21.9% and 23.7%, respectively. Both figures rank conspicuously above sector averages. On the bottom line, Adobe carries a net margin of 28%, well above the industry median of 1.9%. Throw in a stable balance sheet and you have another solid candidate for best tech stocks to buy in November.Intel (INTC)One of the powerhouses in the semiconductor industry, Intel(NASDAQ:INTC) represents the world’s second-largest semiconductor chip manufacturer by revenue. Per its corporate profile, it’s also one of the developers of the x86 series of instruction sets, the instruction sets found in most personal computers. Presently, INTC commands a market cap of $119 billion and is down 44% for the year.Despite sharp losses, INTC is among the best tech stocks to buy in November. Notably, INTC is significantly undervalued based on traditional metrics. Its forward P/E ratio is 10.1, below the industry median of 13.7. Also, its Shiller P/E ratio is 7.6, below the sector median of nearly 24.On the income statement, Intel features an overall solid profile. Its three-year book growth rate stands at 12.4%, above 61.5% of the competition. For net margin, it hit 26%, better than 87% of its peers.Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM)A multinational semiconductor firm, Taiwan Semiconductor (NYSE:TSM) represents the world’s most valuable semiconductor company, the world’s largest dedicated independent semiconductor foundry, and one of Taiwan’s largest companies, per its public profile. Presently, TSM commands a market cap of nearly $322 billion and is down 48% year to date.Despite the severe erosion of equity value, TSM ranks among the best tech stocks to buy in November for contrarians. PerGuruFocus, TSM is significantly undervalued. The company’s forward P/E ratio is 10.9 is below the industry median of 13.7. Also, its price-to-owner earnings ratio is 10.5, below the industry median of 16.1.Primarily, though, TSM is all about its profitability machine. Gross, operating and net margins hit 55%, 44.7% and 40.6% respectively. Each of these metrics was well above sector median levels. As well, TSM enjoys solid growth figures, with its three-year revenue growth rate coming in at 15.5%. This ranks above 68.5% of the competition.Applied Materials (AMAT)Applied Materials(NASDAQ:AMAT) represents the leader in materials engineering solutions used to produce virtually every new chip and advanced display in the world, per its website. Currently, Applied Materials features a market cap of $77 billion, and the stock is down 43% year to date.PerGuruFocus, AMAT stock is significantly undervalued. A notable standout in terms of traditional metrics is its PEG ratio of 0.56. This ranks favorably below the industry median of 0.75.Primarily, though, Applied Materials will likely draw attention as one of the best tech stocks to buy in November because of its high-quality business. Specifically, the company’s return on equity and return on assets hit 55.5% and 26.1%, respectively. Both stats rank among the upper echelons of the semiconductor industry. To top it off, AMAT features a stable balance sheet. Most prominently, its Altman Z-Score of 7.5 implies low bankruptcy risk.Lam Research (LRCX)Lam Research(NASDAQ:LRCX) is an American supplier of wafer fabrication equipment and related services to the semiconductor industry. Currently, the company carries a market cap of slightly over $55 billion after falling 44% year to date. The stock’s average daily volume is approximately 1.9 million shares.Fundamentally, the case for LRCX as one of the top tech stocks to buy in November is two-fold. First, Lam represents a high-quality business. Its return on equity is a blistering 75.8%. That’s above 99% of the semiconductor industry. As well, the company’s return on assets hit 28.6%, ranking above 97% of its peers.Second, Lam enjoys outstanding sales-related performance. For example, its three-year revenue growth rate is 26.6%, better than 84% of the competition. As well, the company’s book growth rate during the same period is 11.9%, better than nearly 60% of its rivals.NXP Semiconductors (NXPI)Netherlands-based NXP Semiconductors(NASDAQ:NXPI) is a semiconductor designer and manufacturer. After falling 33% this year, it has a market cap of roughly $40 billion. Average trading volume is around 2.1 million shares a day.Interestingly, the YTD performance makes NXP one of the better-performing semiconductor firms. However, that’s not the reason why it’s on this list of best tech stocks to buy in November. Fundamentally, the stock is significantly undervalued based on proprietary calculations. In February, a big drop in Amazon.com’s shares shaved $191 billion from its market value, the most everfor a company in a single day.Options traders appear to be betting the volatility will continue over the this week, when several big tech companies report their earnings results. (Their forecasts don’t indicate the direction of the move, only the size.)Options traders are wagering on around a 5.4% move in Apple shares after its earnings this week, above the average move of around 3.3% after the past eight earnings releases, according to Cboe Global Markets data. They’re betting on a roughly 7% move for Alphabet after its earnings and through Friday. The stock has swung around 5.1% on average after the past eight releases.Expectations for Meta’s post-earnings move are even higher, with a roughly 13% post-earnings move forecast through Friday. The stock has swung around 9.2% on average after the past eight releases, according to Cboe. The big swings for tech stocks have continued last week. Snap sharesplunged 28% Fridayafter it disclosed a further slowdown in sales growth and signaled the digital-ad market could remain sluggish. Something similar happened in July, when it posted its weakest-ever quarterly sales growth as a public company.Analysts expect earnings for the S&P 500’s communications sector, home to several of the big tech companies known as FAANG stocks, to decline by 13% this quarter, among the worst within the broader index. And all five FAANG stocks have posted double-digit declines this year after big simultaneous gains over the past three.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".IXIC":1,"AMZN":1,"AAPL":1,".SPX":1,"MSFT":1,".DJI":1,"GOOGL":1,"META":1}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":766,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9988080558,"gmtCreate":1666621541874,"gmtModify":1676537779467,"author":{"id":"3562994844328312","authorId":"3562994844328312","name":"Ginmihz","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/ab1926af0135809944ce1812f4621c05","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3562994844328312","idStr":"3562994844328312"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like","listText":"Like","text":"Like","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":4,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9988080558","repostId":"2277265831","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":834,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":181402020,"gmtCreate":1623404994660,"gmtModify":1704202697729,"author":{"id":"3562994844328312","authorId":"3562994844328312","name":"Ginmihz","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/ab1926af0135809944ce1812f4621c05","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3562994844328312","idStr":"3562994844328312"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like","listText":"Like","text":"Like","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":4,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/181402020","repostId":"1116807698","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":694,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[{"author":{"id":"3570063321997588","authorId":"3570063321997588","name":"hitithard","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/309ce7b357018aa7b946332c2fe8725c","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"authorIdStr":"3570063321997588","idStr":"3570063321997588"},"content":"Comment He noted that the company \"extended our platform to the employee even further through innovations like BETI, which enables employees to do their own payroll, and we are seeing very strong adoption and record employee usage.\"The company sees Beti, which stands for Better Employee Transaction Interface, as the new way of doing payroll. The industry-first employee-driven payroll solution improves data accuracy, oversight, and user experience. It puts the payroll responsibility into the hands of employees, eliminating a multistep, imperfect, and time-consuming process for HR departments while giving employees more insight into their pay.Richison stated on the call:For years, I have been predicting the end of the old model, whereby HR and payroll personnel's routine of inputting data for employees, is replaced by a self-service model that provides employees direct access to the database. The old model is dying and that is good for both the business and the employee. Paycom is leading this transformation. That's just the latest innovation from the company. The company's single-database HR platform works better than the cobbled-together systems that most companies use today. That has enabled Paycom to capitalize by offering companies an easy-to-use system that improves user experiences, allowing them to maximize the return on this investment in Paycom's software. An unstoppable growth driverThis award-winning solution has been a smashing success. It helped drive record annual revenue retention of 94% in 2021, up from 93% in the prior year. It was also a key growth driver. The company ended the year with nearly 34,000 clients, up 9% compared to 2020. Meanwhile, revenue surged 29% year-over-year in the fourth quarter and 25.4% for the full year. Earnings grew even faster as its margin expanded despite aggressive spending to grow the business. The company delivered an adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) margin of 39.7% of its revenue in 2021, up from 39.3% in 2020.Paycom is only scratching the surface of its potential. Richison noted on the call that \"we still only have approximately 5% of the TAM (total available market) today, so there's plenty of runway ahead to expand and continue to capture market share.\" It's investing heavily to continue taking more market share. It opened five new outside sales offices over the last five months (Manhattan, Las Vegas, Jacksonville, New England, and South Jersey) -- bringing the total to 54 -- to expand its geographic reach. In addition, it has expanded the upper end of its target client size from those with up to 5,000 employees to those with upwards of 10,000 employees. These catalysts have Paycom positioned to continue growing fast in 2022 and beyond. The cloud-based software company sees its revenue rising to more than $1.3 billion this year, putting it up nearly 25% from last year's total. Meanwhile, it sees a further improvement in its adjusted EBITDA margin to around 40% this year, suggesting continued strong profit growth.Lots of growth still aheadPaycom continues to disrupt the payroll industry by launching innovative software solutions that improve the process. While it has grown tremendously over the years, it still has lots of room to run. That upside potential makes it a stock that investors won't want to miss.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"PAYC":1}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1132,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":189944056,"gmtCreate":1623242612775,"gmtModify":1704199099481,"author":{"id":"3562994844328312","authorId":"3562994844328312","name":"Ginmihz","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/ab1926af0135809944ce1812f4621c05","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3562994844328312","idStr":"3562994844328312"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like","listText":"Like","text":"Like","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":3,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/189944056","repostId":"2142600282","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":745,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9923685699,"gmtCreate":1670849478412,"gmtModify":1676538445373,"author":{"id":"3562994844328312","authorId":"3562994844328312","name":"Ginmihz","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/ab1926af0135809944ce1812f4621c05","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3562994844328312","idStr":"3562994844328312"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Lik","listText":"Lik","text":"Lik","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":6,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9923685699","repostId":"1175712501","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1175712501","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1670843529,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1175712501?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-12-12 19:12","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Slowing Growth Edges Out Inflation as Top Concern","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1175712501","media":"The Wall Street Journal","summary":"Stocks and bonds have headed in opposite directions to start December, a sign that investors’ worrie","content":"
Beaulieu said.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".IXIC":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1384,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9989775920,"gmtCreate":1666101007461,"gmtModify":1676537706051,"author":{"id":"3562994844328312","authorId":"3562994844328312","name":"Ginmihz","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/ab1926af0135809944ce1812f4621c05","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3562994844328312","idStr":"3562994844328312"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like","listText":"Like","text":"Like","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":6,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9989775920","repostId":"1194885712","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"1194885712","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1666099875,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1194885712?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-10-18 21:31","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Dow Jumps 600 Points, Nasdaq Climbs 2% As Solid Earnings Power Wall Street Rally for a Second Day","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1194885712","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Stocks rose sharply Tuesday morning after the Nasdaq Composite posted its best daily performance sin","content":"

Stocks rose sharply Tuesday morning after the Nasdaq Composite posted its best daily performance since July.

The Nasdaq Composite led the way with a gain of 2.6%. Goldman Sachs rose more than 2% after strong trading results helped the investment bank beat expectations for earnings and revenue. Those reports continued a strong stretch of earnings, including beats from Bank of America and Bank of New York Mellon on Monday. The Dow is coming off a strong start to the week, adding roughly 551 points on Monday. The S&P 500 also rose 2.65% for the day. The Nasdaq surged 3.43% as tech stocks rebounded, led by names such as Amazon, Meta Platforms and Microsoft. It was the best day for the tech-heavy index since July 27.Fears of a recession and overly aggressive central banks have helped push the U.S. markets to their lows of the year in recent weeks, but the solid start to earnings season may signal that the economy is currently in better shape than feared.“3Q and 4Q earnings should confirm fundamentals remain anchored in resilient labor market and Covid reopening. Equity valuation will likely remain tied to global central bank rhetoric and rates, which is turning incrementally less negative. As such, we see equities primed for upside into year-end on resilient 2H22 earnings, low equity positioning, very negative sentiment and given more reasonable valuation,” Dubravko Lakos-Bujas, JPMorgan’s head of global macro research, said in a note to clients.“Next year, however, we expect a more challenging earnings backdrop relative to current expectations,” he added.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".IXIC":0.9,".SPX":0.9,".DJI":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":430,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9070710605,"gmtCreate":1657105589907,"gmtModify":1676535950026,"author":{"id":"3562994844328312","authorId":"3562994844328312","name":"Ginmihz","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/ab1926af0135809944ce1812f4621c05","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3562994844328312","idStr":"3562994844328312"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like","listText":"Like","text":"Like","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":8,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9070710605","repostId":"1115487982","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1115487982","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1657085993,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1115487982?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-07-06 13:39","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Fed Minutes Could Bolster Bets for 75 Basis-Point Hike in July","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1115487982","media":"Bloomberg","summary":"Record of debate at June meeting may yield clues on rate pathInflation expectations were leading top","content":"
\n
Record of debate at June meeting may yield clues on rate pathInflation expectations were leading topic of June discussionThe Federal Reserve will unveil details of what policy makers debated last ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n","source":"lsy1584095487587","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; He made the remarks at a June 15 press conference after policy makers raised rates by 75 basis points in the largest hike since 1994. The Fed will publish minutes of the meeting at 2 p.m. in Washington on Wednesday.Several policy makers since the June decision have said they are open to going big again at their meeting later this month to curb the hottest price pressures in 40 years. They include Fed Governors Michelle Bowman and Christopher Waller, as well as regional Fed presidents Loretta Mester, Mary Daly and Charles Evans.Updated quarterly projections of the 18 policy makers show the median participant on the Federal Open Market Committee sees rates rising to 3.4% at year’s end and 3.8% next year, from a current target range of 1.5% to 1.75%.“We will be looking for clues about the indicators that the committee will be weighing in its upcoming July meeting as it deliberates whether to hike 50 basis points or 75 basis points,” said Jonathan Millar, economist with Barclays Plc. The minutes might reinforce the idea “that the FOMC is prioritizing price stability over attaining a soft landing,” he said. The committee’s view of inflation expectations may well be a lengthy topic of discussion.“We expect the discussion in the minutes to indicate that policy makers were worried about the un-anchoring of inflation expectations. There may be multiple references of how high gasoline and food prices could affect households’ inflation psychology, justifying the Fed’s shift in placing more focus on headline inflation measures rather than just core measures as they usually do.”-- Anna Wong, chief US economistInflationIn his press conference following the Fed’s last meeting, Powell cited the preliminary University of Michigan survey of inflation expectations as among the factors prompting policy markets to raise rates by 75 basis points in a late shift. The initial reading showed Americans expecting 3.3% inflation over the next five to 10 years, but that was revised down to 3.1% in the final report released June 24.“Are they putting more weight on consumer expectations -- which are mostly impacted by food and energy prices -- or are they worried about professional forecasters and markets, which suggest they have the issue under control?” said Drew Matus, chief market strategist with MetLife Investment Management. “It seems they are more focused on the consumer, but that is dangerous given how inflation expectations are driven.”While Powell has said now is not the time for “nuanced readings” on inflation, any discussion of the underlying dynamics of prices could be important, given the growing divergence between the Fed’s preferred measure of inflation, based on personal consumption, and the consumer price index, said Luke Tilley, Wilmington Trust’s chief economist. The minutes could also provide insights into how the FOMC would view a decline in economic activity. A number of Wall Street economists have lowered their forecasts for second-quarter growth, and the Atlanta Fed’s popular tracking estimate currently shows a contraction for the quarter, even as the labor market has stayed strong.Slowing GrowthWhile Powell has declared that the battle against high inflation is “unconditional,” the committee could have a range of views on whether it would be necessary to adjust plans in light of any softer data.“The most important thing will be any discussion around what might cause the Fed to deviate from the projected path,” said Stephen Stanley, economist at Amherst Pierpont Securities. “Powell has very much emphasized the inflation-fighting part of the job. The growth versus inflation aspects of monetary policy come into tension if the economy does slow down.”The odds of a US recession in the next year are38%in the next 12 months, according to the latest forecast of Bloomberg Economics, after consumer sentiment hit a record low and interest rates surged. While FOMC participants are not identified by name, the minutes could also give insight into whether others on the committee shared the concerns of Kansas City Fed chief Esther George, whose dissent from the 75 basis-point hike surprised Wall Street. George in previous years has been a hawk and only dissented in favor of tighter policy. In a statement on June 17, George said the size of the move, combined with the shrinking of the central bank’s balance sheet, created uncertainty about the outlook.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".DJI":0.9,".SPX":0.9,".IXIC":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":559,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9054162955,"gmtCreate":1655354689077,"gmtModify":1676535621832,"author":{"id":"3562994844328312","authorId":"3562994844328312","name":"Ginmihz","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/ab1926af0135809944ce1812f4621c05","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3562994844328312","idStr":"3562994844328312"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like","listText":"Like","text":"Like","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":6,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9054162955","repostId":"1163941190","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1163941190","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1655346492,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1163941190?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-06-16 10:28","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Powell Sets Path to Restrain Economy and Stop Runaway Inflation","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1163941190","media":"Bloomberg","summary":"Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell took a step toward assuming the mantle of inflation slayer Paul ","content":"
\n
Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell took a step toward assuming the mantle of inflation slayer Paul Volcker, all but acknowledging that reining in run-away price pressures may result in a recession....
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n","source":"lsy1584095487587","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; Supply shocks won’t correct themselves, so the Fed must reduce demand to meet a supply constrained world.”The shift in stance carries perils not only for the economy, but for financial markets and President Joe Biden. Stocks have tumbled in recent months as the Fed has tightened credit to get on top of inflationary pressures that have proved more persistent and widespread than it expected. While the markets took Wednesday’s rate increase in stride, they remain fragile.Biden has seen his popularity plunge as inflation has soared. A recession -- and the higher unemployment that would bring -- would rob the president of one of his few talking points in touting the benefits of his policies for the economy.Powell is likely to be grilled by lawmakers next week on why the Fed misjudged the severity of inflation and why it now believes there will be costs to eradicating it when he presents the central bank’s semi-annual review of monetary policy to Congress.Ex Fed Chair Volcker is lionized within the Fed for breaking the back of double-digit inflation 40 years ago. What’s not always mentioned is that he had to put the economy through the wringer to do that -- unemployment soared above 10% on his watch -- and that his policies provoked a populist backlash from home builders and others who were particularly hard hit by the credit squeeze.Unlike Volcker, Powell said the Fed was not out to drive the economy into recession. But he effectively admitted that a downturn was possible, though he argued that it wouldn’t be the Fed’s fault.“Our objective really is to bring inflation down to 2% while the labor market remains strong,” Powell told reporters. “I think that what’s becoming more clear is that many factors that we don’t control are going to play a very significant role in deciding whether that’s possible or not,” in particular Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the potentially extended impact that could have on energy and food prices.An increasing number of economists are projecting a downturn next year as the Fed struggles to get on top of inflation that’s running at its highest level in four decades. Nearly 70% of academic economists polled by the Financial Times and the University of Chicago foresee a contraction in gross domestic product next year, according to survey released June 13.Fed policy makers’ projections released after the meeting show the economy continuing to grow this year and next, though at a subpar pace. But they also foresee unemployment rising, something that usually only happens during a recession: Joblessness is forecast to rise to 4.1% at the end of 2024 from 3.6% now, according to the median forecast.While maintaining that a 4.1% jobless rate would still be historically low, Powell made clear that the Fed’s No. 1 goal was not tending to the labor market but getting inflation under wraps.“I will begin with one overarching message,” the Fed chair said at the start of his press conference. “We’re strongly committed to bringing inflation back down, and we’re moving expeditiously to do so.”To that end, policy makers are projecting a steep rise in interest rates in coming months. They now see the federal funds rate they control rising to 3.4% by the end of this year and 3.8% at the end of 2023. That’s well above the 2.5% rate they reckon is neutral for the economy -- neither spurring nor restricting growth -- and compares with the current fund’s rate target of 1.5% to 1.75%.But even that won’t be enough to bring inflation fully back to the Fed’s 2% goal. It’s projected to end 2024 at 2.2%, compared with 6.3% now.Powell in particular stressed the importance of keeping inflation expectations in check and said that was one reason the Fed abruptly decided to raise rates by three-quarters of a percentage point Wednesday, instead of the half-point increase it had been telegraphing for weeks.It was an un-anchoring of inflation expectations that bedeviled Volcker and forced him into delivering such harsh monetary medicine to bring price gains under control, at one point pushing interest rates as high as 20%. Consumers, workers and businesses back then were convinced that inflation was headed ever higher, and so acted in ways that helped bring that about.Powell said that’s why policy makers can’t ignore run-ups in oil and food prices, even though they are outside its control. They affect how Americans view the outlook for inflation.“Powell is determined not to repeat the mistakes of Arthur Burns, who led the central bank during the wage-price spiral of the 1970s” and preceded Volcker as Fed chair, Anna Wong, Chief U.S. Economist for Bloomberg Economics, said in a note. “Officials now appear to acknowledge that inflation is a real problem, and they are increasingly recognizing and accepting the costs that will come with tighter monetary policy. “","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".IXIC":0.9,".SPX":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":880,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"lives":[]}
