JPMorgan shares fell by more than 8% last week to close at $147.92 on Friday. They were up about 0.5% in Monday's premarket.\nAfter a successful year for financial stocks, those who missed out on the rally are finally getting a chance to buy at lower levels, he said.\n\"You've got to be patient. Now you're getting the pullback,\" Tatro said. \"JPMorgan was trading well over two times book [value]. That's way too rich. Now we're around 1.8. I think anywhere in here, you start to nibble, pick up shares of JPMorgan. It's a bargain.\"\nBlue Line Capital’s Bill Baruch also likes JPMorgan andAmerican Express, but the possibility of higher interest rates pushed him to look elsewhere for gains.\n“I do think that 1.25% is in the cards here for the 10-year yield, and in the near term, that could weigh on the financials. But I think there should be a tremendous buying opportunity on weakness,” Baruch said in the same “Trading Nation” interview.\nInstead, the Blue Line Capital founder and president found a lot to like in old-line tech juggernautIBM, which lost nearly 6% in market value last week.\n“IBM is not a darling in tech by any means. It really gets kind of swept aside,” he said, highlighting the company’s “tremendous strides forward in the past couple years for the cloud.”\n“Technically, it did break out of a near-decade-long downtrend last week, although it did fail here through this week,” Baruch said Friday. “It’s been this really good value at 141 and even more value at 137 if you can get it down there, not to mention a 4.5% dividend. This is a really great stock to own for the long term.”\nIBM shares ended trading at $143.12 on Friday and were up fractionally in Monday’s premarket.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":253,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":186850651,"gmtCreate":1623486393373,"gmtModify":1704204957370,"author":{"id":"3565784066995142","authorId":"3565784066995142","name":"twosense","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/989761bf8d2881785fe24557dc1490b0","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3565784066995142","idStr":"3565784066995142"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like and comment pls","listText":"Like and comment pls","text":"Like and comment pls","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":4,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/186850651","repostId":"2142204074","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2142204074","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Reuters.com brings you the latest news from around the world, covering breaking news in markets, business, politics, entertainment and technology","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Reuters","id":"1036604489","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/443ce19704621c837795676028cec868"},"pubTimestamp":1623441637,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2142204074?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-06-12 04:00","market":"us","language":"en","title":"S&P ekes out gains to close languid week","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2142204074","media":"Reuters","summary":"NEW YORK, June 11 - The S&P 500 closed nominally higher at the end of a torpid week marked with few market-moving catalysts and persistent concerns over whether current inflation spikes could linger and cause the U.S. Federal Reserve to tighten its dovish policy sooner than expected.Economically sensitive smallcaps and transports notched solid gains, outperforming the broader market. For the week, the S&P and the Nasdaq advanced from last Friday's close, while the Dow posted a weekly loss. But th","content":"
NEW YORK, June 11 (Reuters) - The S&P 500 closed nominally higher at the end of a torpid week marked with few market-moving catalysts and persistent concerns over whether current inflation spikes could linger and cause the U.S. Federal Reserve to tighten its dovish policy sooner than expected.
\n
Economically sensitive smallcaps and transports notched solid gains, outperforming the broader market.
\n
For the week, the S&P and the Nasdaq advanced from last Friday's close, while the Dow posted a weekly loss.
\n
But the indexes have been range-bound, with few catalysts to move investor sentiment. For investors, the figures will be higher stakes than usual. The reason is simple: The global automotive microchip shortage is roiling the entire car business.
\n
Numbers will matter even more for richly valued, high-growth companies such as Tesla(ticker: TSLA). Tesla investors want growth, and the chip situation is squeezing growth. Both General Motors(GM) and Ford Motor(F) have taken unexpected plant downtime recently and have called the chip issue a billion-dollar profit headwind for 2021. That’s not what investors want to hear.
\n
Everyone is aware of the issue. Still, when first-quarter data is released, investors have to decide whether or not to give Tesla, or any other fast-growing EV maker, a pass if results are weaker than expected.
\n
So far the market isn’t feeling charitable. But the sample size is only one stock.
\n
NIO shares (NIO) are down more than 6% in Friday trading after the EV maker reduced guidance for first-quarter deliveries from about 20,250 cars to about 19,500. NIO management cited the chip shortage and is shutting a manufacturing plant for five days starting March 29.
\n
For Tesla, Wall Street is looking for about 162,000 vehicles delivered in March. That’s down from a peak estimate of about 183,000 vehicles. Analysts seem to be reducing numbers, possibly because of the shortage.
\n
Tesla delivered about 181,000 vehicles in the fourth quarter. For the full year 2021, analysts are looking for almost 800,000 vehicle deliveries, up about 60% year over year.
\n
RBC analyst Joe Spak is forecasting 170,000 first-quarter deliveries, up more than 90% year over year. He also forecasts Tesla will make 96,000 cars in California and 74,000 cars in China during the quarter. “Consensus [estimate] looks mostly reasonable,” wrote Spak in a Thursday report. “We do look for updates to see how the semi shortage is impacting Tesla—as it has the rest of the industry.” He sees some additional downside risk to estimates, especially for second-quarter numbers, because of chips.
\n
Spak rates Tesla stock Hold and has a $725 price target for shares.
\n
In the case of Tesla stock, the chip shortage has taken a back seat to rising interest rates. Rising rateshit growth stocksin two main ways. For starters, it makes growth more expensive to finance. NIO isn’t profitable yet. High-growth companies generate most of their cash flow far in the future. That cash flow is worth a little less, relatively speaking, when investors can earn higher interest rates on their cash today.
\n
Tesla stock is down roughly 10% year to date after rising more than 740% in 2020. Shares are down 0.9% in early Friday trading, at $634.40. That means more delivery data from auto makers is due. For investors, the figures will be higher stakes than usual. The reason is simple: The global automotive microchip shortage is roiling the entire car business.\nNumbers will matter even more for richly valued, high-growth companies such as Tesla(ticker: TSLA). Tesla investors want growth, and the chip situation is squeezing growth. Both General Motors(GM) and Ford Motor(F) have taken unexpected plant downtime recently and have called the chip issue a billion-dollar profit headwind for 2021. That’s not what investors want to hear.\nEveryone is aware of the issue. Still, when first-quarter data is released, investors have to decide whether or not to give Tesla, or any other fast-growing EV maker, a pass if results are weaker than expected.\nSo far the market isn’t feeling charitable. But the sample size is only one stock.\nNIO shares (NIO) are down more than 6% in Friday trading after the EV maker reduced guidance for first-quarter deliveries from about 20,250 cars to about 19,500. NIO management cited the chip shortage and is shutting a manufacturing plant for five days starting March 29.\nFor Tesla, Wall Street is looking for about 162,000 vehicles delivered in March. That’s down from a peak estimate of about 183,000 vehicles. Analysts seem to be reducing numbers, possibly because of the shortage.\nTesla delivered about 181,000 vehicles in the fourth quarter. For the full year 2021, analysts are looking for almost 800,000 vehicle deliveries, up about 60% year over year.\nRBC analyst Joe Spak is forecasting 170,000 first-quarter deliveries, up more than 90% year over year. He also forecasts Tesla will make 96,000 cars in California and 74,000 cars in China during the quarter. “Consensus [estimate] looks mostly reasonable,” wrote Spak in a Thursday report. “We do look for updates to see how the semi shortage is impacting Tesla—as it has the rest of the industry.” He sees some additional downside risk to estimates, especially for second-quarter numbers, because of chips.\nSpak rates Tesla stock Hold and has a $725 price target for shares.\nIn the case of Tesla stock, the chip shortage has taken a back seat to rising interest rates. Rising rateshit growth stocksin two main ways. For starters, it makes growth more expensive to finance. NIO isn’t profitable yet. High-growth companies generate most of their cash flow far in the future. That cash flow is worth a little less, relatively speaking, when investors can earn higher interest rates on their cash today.\nTesla stock is down roughly 10% year to date after rising more than 740% in 2020. Shares are down 0.9% in early Friday trading, at $634.40. The S&P 500is up about 0.7%.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":251,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":385797787,"gmtCreate":1613574984649,"gmtModify":1704882315779,"author":{"id":"3565784066995142","authorId":"3565784066995142","name":"twosense","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/989761bf8d2881785fe24557dc1490b0","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3565784066995142","idStr":"3565784066995142"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nice","listText":"Nice","text":"Nice","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/385797787","repostId":"1109567373","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1109567373","pubTimestamp":1613557874,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1109567373?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-02-17 18:31","market":"us","language":"en","title":"PayPal Is Now Worth More Than Mastercard. PayPal’s market value is now $359 billion.Mastercard‘s equity, meanwhile, was worth $339 billion at recent prices around $341.
\n
Mastercard (MA) andVisa(V), the two major card-processing networks, have been hurt by a slowdown in payment volumes related to the pandemic, particularly in highly profitable cross-border transactions. Both stocks are down around 4% this year and are largely flat over the past 52 weeks.
\n
PayPal, on the other hand, got a lift as the pandemic sent shoppers online and fueled a surge in digital payments. The company is also developing new revenue streams, aiming to become a digital payments “super app,” expanding into everything from Bitcoin to in-store QR-codes, international money transfers, and new peer-to-peer (P2P) services.
\n
PayPal outlined its five-year strategy in a presentation to investors last week. And some analysts were clearly impressed. Lisa Ellis of MoffettNathanson raised her price target on the stock to $350, reflecting a variety of sources of growth.
\n
Just about every facet of the business may bepoisedto double over the next five years. PayPal expects to have 750 million active accounts by 2025, up from 377 million now. It sees total payments volume expanding at a 25% annualized rate, reaching $2.8 trillion by 2025. Revenues are expected to hit more than $50 billion, up from an estimated $25.6 billion this year.
\n
PayPal also expects to boost adjusted operating margins from 25% to 28%, and sees earnings per share rising an average 22% a year. It’s planning to generate $40 billion in free cash flow over the next five years, targeting 30% to 40% for share repurchases.
\n
As Ellis points out, PayPal has several stepping stones to hit those targets. One is a new service called Buy Now Pay Later, an interest-free installment plan for consumer purchases. The service is gaining traction, with $750 million of transaction volume in the fourth quarter.
\n
Anothergrowth driveris cryptocurrencies. PayPal users can now buy and store Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on its app. The company aims to allow crypto to be used as a funding source with the 28 million merchants on its platform, acting as a middleman between consumers and businesses. Bitcoinhit a record$50,000 on Tuesday, up 75% this year, and it appears to be driving greater usage of PayPal, which could ultimately lead to higher average revenue per customer.
\n
PayPal also aims to use its Venmo P2P service as a platform for consumer-to-business payments. And PayPal is making inroads with brick-and-mortar merchants through QR technology for contactless payments in stores.
\n
Does all of this warrant a higher market value and a steep premium to Mastercard stock? The card network is actually expected to lift revenue and profits at a faster pace in fiscal 2021, according to Ellis, growing revenue 21.7% versus 19% for PayPal. She also sees Mastercard’s earnings per share rising 33.3% versus 17.5% for PayPal’s.
\n
But the five-year outlook is clearly more favorable for PayPal, with revenue rising 21% a year, compared with 15% for Mastercard, and earnings compounding at a 22% rate, versus 17% for Mastercard.
\n
The question is whether PayPal’s valuation is getting too rich. At 67 times estimated 2021 per-share earnings, PayPal stock is trading nearly three times more expensive than the S&P 500’s P/E ratio of 23 times earnings. Mastercard goes for 42 times 2021 earnings.
\n
Nonetheless, Wall Street can’t seem to catch up with PayPal’s fast-rising stock. The average target for the stock price is $309, less than 2% above the recent level.
\n
“You have to appreciate the earnings power in the model,” says Wedbush analyst Moshe Katri, who maintained a $300 target on the stock after the presentation last week. “The more they’re able to expand user engagement and get to point where users keep going back and using its products, the more the user fees can go up.”
\n
Whether that means the stock can keep climbing will depend on how quickly it can turn into the super-app that Wall Street has come to expect.
","source":"lsy1601382232898","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
PayPal Is Now Worth More Than Mastercard. Because of that, only a handle of ESG exchange-traded funds and mutual funds own the company.\nOutgoing CEO Jeff Bezos, the founder of the e-commerce giant, has “actually done the hard stuff, the hardest stuff being operations,” says Andrew Behar, CEO of As You Sow, a nonprofit shareholder advocacy group. “On other issues, though, he’s completely not even thinking about them.”\nBezos will retain an influential position in the company as executive chairman and one of its largest shareholders. Jassy, the new CEO, is now the head of Amazon Web Services, the company’s cloud-computing business.\nInhis letter to Amazon’s workforce, Bezos tried to burnish his ESG credentials:\n“As Amazon became large, we decided to use our scale and scope to lead on important social issues. Two high-impact examples: our $15 minimum wage and theClimate Pledge. In both cases, we staked out leadership positions and then asked others to come along with us. In both cases, it’s working. Other large companies are coming our way. I hope you’re proud of that as well.”\nNatasha Lamb, managing partner at Arjuna Capital, a sustainable and impact investment firm focusing on workplace issues for women and people of color, disputes Bezos’ claim of being a leader in these two areas, saying that there was great pressure on the company to increase worker pay and to sign the climate pledge.\n“He is not the poster child of the American dream, but of what is eating America alive, which is growing inequality,” she says.\nAmazonincreasedthe minimum wage to $15 in 2018 after years of criticism that it mistreated and underpaid workers, and the company caughtflakfor what workers said were poor health conditions in the pandemic. It is also fightinga unionization attempt at a warehouse in Alabama.\nEmanuele Colonnelli, an assistant professor of finance at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business who has done ESG research, agrees with Lamb. “A lot of the most promising steps toward ESG seem reactionary, as they have been taken only recently, at a moment in which regulatory and public pressure reached sky-high levels that became impossible to ignore,” he says.\nAlthough Amazon installed a higher minimum wage,MSCI considers the company a laggard when it comes to corporate behavior and labor management. Overall, MSCI gives Amazon a BBB rating, saying it is average for companies in the retail-consumer discretionary space.\nLamb says Amazon has become what Walmartwas in the 1990s, criticized for shuttering small businesses. During the coronavirus, “everybody has become so reliant on Amazon, and those patterns are sticky. It has grave implications for small business.”\nColonnelli says Amazon’s monopoly power can’t be denied and should be at the core of its ESG considerations. “It will be up to Jassy – and Bezos of course- to decide whether they want to be driving the change toward a business model that is less prone to anti-competitive practices, and therefore lead to a more equitable allocation of rents,” he says.\nA ‘real opportunity’ to be a leader\nBehar says As You Sow has interviewed Amazon employees and says the company has a “real opportunity” to be a leader on human capital management, such as increasing hourly employee wages, improving health care benefits, especially during the pandemic, and paid leave, as well as improving efforts around diversity equity inclusion.\nLamb says with a new CEO coming on board, she wants greater clarity about defining gender and racial pay equity and to address diversity as a whole, noting that there are very few women and people of color in the company’s upper ranks. She says other shareholders are asking for a racial equity audit and for a worker representative on the board of directors, “which I think would be helpful.”\nClimate inroads\nWhen it comes to its climate pledge, Amazon is making some inroads. BNEF says Amazon has now purchased over 7.5GW of clean energy to date, pushing it ahead of Alphabet GOOGL at 6.6GW and Facebook FB at 5.9GW as the world’s largest clean-energy buyer.\n\nGarvin Jabush, chief investment officer at Green Alpha Advisors, says Amazon’s investments in renewable energy and its $440 million investment in electric-truck start up Rivian are all impressive starts, but the company has a long way to go.\nGreen Alpha Advisors doesn’t own Amazon because Jabush says it is still a large contributor to climate risk; he noted the company saw a 15% increase in carbon dioxide emissions in 2019. It also supplies advanced computing data to the oil and gas industry to help fossil-fuel companies locate new deposits.\nBoth Jabush and Behar says Amazon faces material risk as it deals with electronic waste and plastic waste.
The S&P 500is up about 0.7%.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":251,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":385797787,"gmtCreate":1613574984649,"gmtModify":1704882315779,"author":{"id":"3565784066995142","authorId":"3565784066995142","name":"twosense","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/989761bf8d2881785fe24557dc1490b0","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3565784066995142","authorIdStr":"3565784066995142"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nice","listText":"Nice","text":"Nice","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/385797787","repostId":"1109567373","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1109567373","pubTimestamp":1613557874,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1109567373?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-02-17 18:31","market":"us","language":"en","title":"PayPal Is Now Worth More Than Mastercard.
All its coffee shops will remain open for business and the Chapter 15 petition will not materially impact the company’s day-to-day operations, according to a statement issued on Friday.\n“The company continues to meet its trade obligations in the ordinary course of business, including paying suppliers, vendors and employees,” the statement said.\nThe bankruptcy filing caps a saga in which the coffee chain, once thought of as a challenger to Starbucks Corp.’s dominance in China, fired its chairman and chief executive officer, paid hundreds of millions out in fines to both Chinese and U.S. regulators, and saw its stock plunge 90% before being delisted by Nasdaq.\nThe U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission fined the company $180 million in December after finding that it intentionally fabricated more than $300 million in sales from April 2019 through January 2020. The company has never officially admitted or denied the SEC’s allegations.\nLuckin’s alleged malfeasance, which involved misstating its revenue, expenses and operating loss, was all done to give investors the false impression that the company was experiencing miraculous growth, the SEC said.\nThe chain’s collapse has led to renewed scrutiny of Chinese companies that sell shares on U.S. exchanges without adhering to rules that require their audits be inspected by American regulators. This is a really great stock to own for the long term.”\nIBM shares ended trading at $143.12 on Friday and were up fractionally in Monday’s premarket.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":253,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":383735331,"gmtCreate":1612890783623,"gmtModify":1704875745985,"author":{"id":"3565784066995142","authorId":"3565784066995142","name":"twosense","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/989761bf8d2881785fe24557dc1490b0","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3565784066995142","authorIdStr":"3565784066995142"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Cool","listText":"Cool","text":"Cool","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/383735331","repostId":"1176373590","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1176373590","pubTimestamp":1612868893,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1176373590?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-02-09 19:08","market":"us","language":"en","title":"What new Amazon CEO Andy Jassy needs to do to become a leader in sustainability like Apple","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1176373590","media":"MarketWatch","summary":"Andy Jassy, the incoming Amazon CEO, needs to improve labor relations, reduce packaging waste and fu","content":"
Andy Jassy, the incoming Amazon CEO, needs to improve labor relations, reduce packaging waste and further its climate goals if it wants to be a world-leading company from an environmental, social and governance perspective.
\n
Indeed, Amazon’s role model could be Apple, which advocates say has become a sustainability leader among megacap stocks.
\n
Amazon is starting to make strong operational strides such as investing in electric vehicles for its fleet and running data centers on renewable energy, but remains a laggard in other key ESG pillars such as workplace issues, racial and diversity inclusion and has more work to do on carbon reduction, say ESG advocates. Other large companies are coming our way. I hope you’re proud of that as well.”
\n
Natasha Lamb, managing partner at Arjuna Capital, a sustainable and impact investment firm focusing on workplace issues for women and people of color, disputes Bezos’ claim of being a leader in these two areas, saying that there was great pressure on the company to increase worker pay and to sign the climate pledge.
\n
“He is not the poster child of the American dream, but of what is eating America alive, which is growing inequality,” she says.
\n
Amazonincreasedthe minimum wage to $15 in 2018 after years of criticism that it mistreated and underpaid workers, and the company caughtflakfor what workers said were poor health conditions in the pandemic. BloombergNEF said Amazon was the leading corporate buyer of clean energy in 2020, signing 35 separate clean energy power-purchasing agreements, totaling 5.1 gigawatts of power. BNEF says Amazon has now purchased over 7.5GW of clean energy to date, pushing it ahead of Alphabet GOOGL at 6.6GW and Facebook FB at 5.9GW as the world’s largest clean-energy buyer.
\n

\n
Garvin Jabush, chief investment officer at Green Alpha Advisors, says Amazon’s investments in renewable energy and its $440 million investment in electric-truck start up Rivian are all impressive starts, but the company has a long way to go.
\n
Green Alpha Advisors doesn’t own Amazon because Jabush says it is still a large contributor to climate risk; he noted the company saw a 15% increase in carbon dioxide emissions in 2019. Amazon has reduced Styrofoam usage, but “they could commit to zero plastic in two to three years from now and it would make a big difference,” he says.
\n
Jabush says it’s always a debate at his firm each year about whether to buy Amazon because it is “a phenomenal business,” but he says until it reduces its climate impact, he won’t buy it.
