enough political support to be adopted, according to an interview aired on Wednesday.
\n
Britain's Channel 4 network aired the interview of senior Washington-based lobbyist Keith McCoy it obtained from an investigative arm of environmental campaigner Greenpeace UK, in footage that drew the ire of Exxon's chairman and chief executive.
\n
Greenpeace activists posed as headhunters to conduct separate Zoom interviews with McCoy and a former Washington lobbyist for Exxon, Dan Easley.
\n
\"There is not an appetite for a carbon tax. It's a nonstarter,\" McCoy said to the Greenpeace activists. \"And the cynical side of me says, 'Yeah, we kind of know that.' But it gives us a talking point.\"
\n
McCoy did not immediately respond to a request for comment. He said on LinkedIn he was \"deeply embarrassed by my comments and that I allowed myself to fall for Greenpeace’s deception.\" He apologized to colleagues at Exxon in that post.
\n
Darren Woods, Exxon's chairman and chief executive, had sharp words on McCoy's comments. \"We condemn the statements and are deeply apologetic for them, including comments regarding interactions with elected officials,\" Woods said in a release.
\n
\"We were shocked by these interviews and stand by our commitments to working on finding solutions to climate change,\" Woods said.
\n
Asked whether McCoy faces disciplinary action, Exxon spokesperson Casey Norton declined to comment saying it was a private personnel matter.
\n
The footage comes a month after Exxon shareholders, frustrated by weak returns and the U.S. oil company's record on climate change, shook up the company when they elected three of four nominated directors from activist shareholder Engine No. 1 to Exxon's board.
\n
ExxonMobil in 2018 touted its investment of $1 million over two years into a carbon tax advocacy campaign in Congress. Its annual lobbying budget is $12 million.
\n
Exxon Director Ursula Burns said at a Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas virtual event this month that the company's response to environmental criticisms \"has not been well done.\"
\n
McCoy and Easley spoke candidly to the Greenpeace activists on their strategies and positions on a range of issues, including President Joe Biden's initial $2 trillion infrastructure package, which they said they worked on to remove major climate provisions and push back against proposals to raise corporate taxes.
\n
Easley said the Biden infrastructure plan contained clean energy measures that would \"accelerate the transition that I think four years from now - it is going to be difficult to unwind them.\"
\n
Easley, whose LinkedIn page says he started a new job in February, could not immediately be reached for comment. The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished with a gain of about 9 points after being up more than 100 points earlier in the session, closing at 34,292.29. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite added about 0.2% for its own record of 14,528.33.\nHomebuilder stocks moved higher after S&P Case-Shiller saidhome prices rose more than 14% in Aprilcompared to the prior year. Five U.S. cities, including Seattle, saw their largest annual increase on record. Shares of PulteGroup rose 2%.\nSemiconductor stocks gained strength later in the session, with Skyworks and Advanced Micro Devices climbing 4.5% and 2.8%, respectively. General Electric boosted the industrials sector, rising over 1% afterGoldman Sachs named the stock a top idea.\nThe market has churned out a series of record highs in recent weeks, but the gains have been relatively modest and some strategists have pointed to weak market breadth, measured by the performance of the average stock and the number of individual names making new highs, as a potential area of concern.\nOn Tuesday, there were slightly more declining stocks in the S&P 500 than those that rose during the session.\nHowever, the diminished breadth and volatility could simply be a natural pause during the summer months ahead of the busy earnings season in July, said Bill McMahon, the chief investment officer for active equity strategies at Charles Schwab Investment Management.\n\"I think people are in a little bit of a wait-and-see mode, so it's not surprising to see volatility decline and breadth worsen a tad,\" McMahon said, adding that concern about the spreading Delta variant of Covid-19 could also be weighing on stocks.\nShares of Morgan Stanley jumped more than 3% after the bank said it willdouble its quarterly dividend. The bank also announced a $12 billion stock buyback program. The announcement follows last week's stress tests by the Federal Reserve, which all 23 major banks passed. However, some other bank stocks gave up early gains and weighed on the broader indexes despite increasing their own payout plans.\nThe Conference Board's consumer confidence reading for June came in higher than expected, adding to the bullish readings about the economic recovery.\nWith the market entering the final trading days of June and the second quarter, the S&P 500 is on track to register its fifth straight month of gains. The Nasdaq is pacing for its seventh positive month in the last eight. The Dow, however, is in the red for the month, and on track to snap a four-month winning streak.\nSo far in 2021, the S&P 500 has added 14%, while the Nasdaq has added more than 12% with the Dow close behind.\nJPMorgan quantitative strategist Dubravkos Lakos-Bujas said on CNBC's \"Squawk Box\" that the market appeared to have near-term upside.\n\"The growth policy backdrop in our opinion still remains supportive for risk assets in general, certainly including equities. At the same time, the positioning is not really stretched to where we are in a problematic territory. So we do think there is still a runway. ... The summer period, the next two months, is where I think the market continues to break out,\" the strategist said.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":316,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":127713420,"gmtCreate":1624868682360,"gmtModify":1703846608959,"author":{"id":"3567061106843643","authorId":"3567061106843643","name":"Cheechee","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/adcb74070a81ea4d23f038c7e4d0c80e","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3567061106843643","authorIdStr":"3567061106843643"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Hi. At its session high, the 30-stock average jumped 650 points to hit an intraday record high. The S&P 500 erased a 1% gain to close 0.5% lower at 3,821.35. The Nasdaq Composite slid 2.4% in volatile trading to 12,609.16 as Apple dropped 4.2% and Tesla fell 5.8%. Alphabet and Netflix both slipped more than 4%.\nThe tech-heavy benchmark closed more than 10% below its Feb.12 closing high, falling into correction territory.\nThe Senate passed a$1.9 trillion economic relief and stimulus bill on Saturday, paving the way for extensions to unemployment benefits, another round of stimulus checks and aid to state and local governments. The Democrat-controlled House is expected to pass the bill later this week. President Joe Biden is expected to sign it into law before unemployment aid programs expire on March 14.\nMeanwhile, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Monday people who've been fully vaccinated against Covid-19can meet safely indoors without masks, further boosting reopening hopes. The positive news boosted stocks banking on a strong economic recovery.\nDisney shares added more than 6% afterCalifornia eased Covid rules, paving the way for Disneyland to reopen on a limited basis in April. American Airlines jumped nearly 5%, while United Airlines popped 7%. Target rose 2.5%.\n\"More stimulus could provide a big lift to the stock market, but it may come with some bumps,\" said Lindsey Bell, chief investment strategist at Ally Invest. \"Runaway inflation worries have been a stumbling block for stocks as of late. Because of this, there could be more market weakness ahead as investors grapple with the short- and long-term effects of stimulus. High-flying stocks like tech and the 'stay at home' stocks may be hit the hardest.\"\nTech stocks remained the biggest losers on Monday, continuing the trend for the last few weeks. High-growth stocks, which were among the best performers last year, are particularly vulnerable as higher rates reduce the value of future cash flows.\nApple has fallen 15% in the past month, while Tesla has dropped 34% in that period. Pandemic bets Zoom Video and Peloton have tumbled 24% and 30% over the past month.\nSentiment got a boost earlier Monday afterhedge fund manager David Tepper said the recent sharp rise in rates is likely overand it's hard to be bearish on stocks right now.\n\"Basically I think rates have temporarily made the most of the move and should be more stable in the next few months, which makes it safer to be in stocks for now,\" Tepper told CNBC's Joe Kernen, who shared the comments on \"Squawk Box.\"\nThe benchmark 10-year yield has risen sharply in recent weeks in anticipation of more stimulus on top of a booming economic recovery. The10-year Treasury yieldrose 4 basis points to 1.6% Monday. The benchmark rate started the calendar year below the 1% mark.\nTepper believes the sell-off in Treasurys that has driven rates higher is likely over as big foreign buyers like Japan are poised to come in. He also said \"bellwether\" stocks like Amazon are starting to look attractive after the pullback. Amazon shares have fallen 11% over the past month.\nThe market rotation has created a big divergence among the major averages. For March, the Dow Industrials, leveraged more to the reopening, is up 2.8%, while the Nasdaq Composite is off by 4.4%. Meanwhile, the broader S&P 500 is up 0.3%.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":38,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":329120549,"gmtCreate":1615215782181,"gmtModify":1704779717841,"author":{"id":"3567061106843643","authorId":"3567061106843643","name":"Cheechee","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/adcb74070a81ea4d23f038c7e4d0c80e","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3567061106843643","authorIdStr":"3567061106843643"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Done.","listText":"Done.","text":"Done.","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/329120549","repostId":"2117695859","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2117695859","pubTimestamp":1615213702,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2117695859?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-03-08 22:28","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Why fuboTV Stock Fell 16.4% in February","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2117695859","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"Despite the recent pullback, the sports streaming stock has roughly tripled from its IPO price.","content":"
What happened
\n
Shares of fuboTV (NYSE:FUBO) fell 16.4% in February, according to data from S&P Global Market Intelligence. In addition to its subscription streaming segment, the business has a fast-growing advertising unit. It's also making moves to be a player in the online sports-betting space.
\n
The company is pursuing some appealing growth opportunities, but its outlook remains speculative, and it's not surprising the stock has been pressured amid recent market volatility.
\n
Now what
\n
fuboTV stock has continued to slide in March. Paid subscribers rose 73% compared to the prior-year period, hitting nearly 550,000, and average revenue per user soared. The sports-focused streaming company has seen explosive gains since going public in October, but its stock saw a significant pullback in conjunction with sell-offs for growth-dependent tech stocks last month.\nFUBO data by YCharts\nTech stocks have been very hot over the last year, lifting the overall market to impressive gains despite conditions created by the coronavirus pandemic, but the market's love affair with the sector may be wavering. Significant gains for Treasury bond yields helped kick off a pullback for the broader tech sector last month, and volatility for fuboTV stock has continued early in March.\nImage source: Getty Images.\n\nSo what\nfuboTV's focus on providing a service that's tailored to sports enthusiasts has helped it quickly establish a sizable and valuable customer base, but the company relies on access to content from other broadcasters and getting its platform featured through connected-TV hardware partners. In addition to its subscription streaming segment, the business has a fast-growing advertising unit. It's also making moves to be a player in the online sports-betting space.\nThe company is pursuing some appealing growth opportunities, but its outlook remains speculative, and it's not surprising the stock has been pressured amid recent market volatility.\nNow what\nfuboTV stock has continued to slide in March. The company's share price is down roughly 22.7% in the month so far.\nFUBO data by YCharts\n\nfuboTV stock rose roughly 18.7% across the first two trading days in March, but shares fell following the release of the company's fourth-quarter results and another sell-off for growth-dependent tech stocks.\nSales climbed 83% year over year in Q4 to reach roughly $105.1 million. Paid subscribers rose 73% compared to the prior-year period, hitting nearly 550,000, and average revenue per user soared. However, guidance for sales between $101 million and $103 million in the first quarter suggested a sequential revenue decline of roughly 3% at the midpoint of the target, and investors bristled at the forecast. The pandemic was intensifying, gridlock paralyzed Washington and millions of families were about to lose crucial benefits.
\n
Fast forward two months, and the economy is still struggling-- but confidence in the recovery is growing, rapidly.
\n
Economists are swiftly upgrading their GDP and unemployment forecasts and pulling forward the date when the Federal Reserve will be able to lift rock-bottom interest rates. Goldman Sachs is predicting the US economy will grow at the fastest clip in more than three decades.
\n
The renewed optimism is being driven by two major factors: the health crisis is easing and Uncle Sam is coming to the rescue with staggering amounts of aid-- hundreds of billions more than seemed to be in the cards just months ago.
\n
After supplying $4 trillion of relief last year, Washington is expected to pump in another $2 trillion of deficit-financed support in 2021, according to Moody's Analytics. That represents more than a quarter of annual US GDP.
\n
\"That is a lot of economic juice,\" Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody's Analytics, told CNN Business.
\n
The turning point happened last month when Democrats took narrow control of the US Senate by sweeping the runoff races in Georgia. That opened a path for President Joe Biden's $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan, which features $1,400 stimulus checks, enhanced unemployment benefits and a $350 billion lifeline to state and local governments.
\n
'Summer mini-boom'
\n
Before the Georgia elections, Zandi didn't think the US economy would return to full employment (a strong labor market with 4% unemployment) until the spring or summer of 2023. Now, he expects that achievement to happen next spring, echoing a forecast by Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.
\n
\"Super-charged fiscal policy\" means the argument for the US economy growing faster than its peers \"seems to get stronger day-by-day,\" economists at Bank of America wrote in a recent report to clients.
\n
Oxford Economics chief US economist Gregory Daco is calling for a \"summer mini-boom\" in the United States and 5.9% GDP growth in 2021.
\n
Likewise, Jefferies economists say \"explosive income growth (courtesy of fiscal stimulus) is likely to propel US GDP 6.4% higher this year and nearly 5% next year.\"
\n
\"If anything, our forecast might be too conservative,\" Jefferies told clients in a recent note, pointing out that its view incorporates just $1 trillion of the Biden plan.
\n
Indeed, Goldman Sachs upgraded its 2021 GDP forecast to 6.8% earlier this week because the Wall Street bank now assumes additional fiscal relief of $1.5 trillion, up from $1.1 trillion previously. If Goldman's prediction comes true, it would be the fastest annual GDP growth for the United States since 1989,according to the St. Louis Fed.
\n
The rosy GDP forecasts are well above what the Federal Reserve is calling for. In December, the Fed expected 2021 GDP growth of just 4.2% and said unemployment wouldn't slip below 4% until 2023.
\n
Double-dip recession averted
\n
The Fed tends to be conservative with its economic forecasts. And, crucially, the Fed forecast was released at a time when political dysfunction in DC was casting a shadow over the US economy.
\n
For months, Republicans and Democrats tried and failed to reach a deal on extending crucial unemployment and eviction benefits scheduled to lapse and providing more forgivable loans to small businesses. And then when a deal was finally reached, former President Donald Trump threatened to blow it up.
\n
At the last minute, Trump signed the $900 billion relief package into law, averting economic disaster.
\n
\"Without that, we would be in a double dip recession,\" said Zandi, the Moody's economist.
\n
Slammed by the pandemic, the US economy limped to the end of 2020 and started this year slowly. In December, employers cut jobs in for the first time since the spring. And the United States added just 49,000 jobs in January.
\n
Jobless claims remain alarmingly high. Another 793,000 Americans filed for first time unemployment benefits last week alone. For context, that is above the worst levels of the Great Recession.
\n
Vaccines to the rescue
\n
But there are glimmers of hope on the pandemic. Although Covid deaths remain unthinkably high, hospitalizations and cases have retreated.
\n
Critically, the rollout of coronavirus vaccines is accelerating. Out of a total of 66 million vaccines distributed, about 70% have been administered, according to Morgan Stanley.
\n
And Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation's top infectious disease expert, told NBC News Thursday that the United States may be able to vaccinate most Americans by the middle or end of summer.
\n
All of this has allowed states including California, New York and New Jersey to relax health restrictions crushing restaurants and other small businesses.
\n
That's not to say the pandemic is over. In fact, one risk is that new Covid-19 variants force US states and cities to once again tighten health restrictions.
\n
Low-wage workers are still hurting badly
\n
Against this backdrop, many economists are urging Washington to push ahead with plans for aggressive fiscal stimulus.
\n
\"Foot flat on the accelerator, please,\" Zandi, the Moody's economist said. \"Policymaking 101 says err on the side of doing too much, rather than too little.\"
\n
Doing too little risks worsening America's inequality problem. That's because this recession, more than prior ones, disproportionately hurt low-income workers in hard-hit sectors such as restaurants, childcare and hospitality.
\n
Employment levels of low-wage workers (those making less than $27,000 per year) is still down more than 20%, according to the Opportunity Insights Economic tracker. The pandemic was intensifying, gridlock paralyzed Washington and millions of families were about to lose crucial benefits.\nFast forward two months, and the economy is still struggling-- but confidence in the recovery is growing, rapidly.\nEconomists are swiftly upgrading their GDP and unemployment forecasts and pulling forward the date when the Federal Reserve will be able to lift rock-bottom interest rates. Goldman Sachs is predicting the US economy will grow at the fastest clip in more than three decades.\nThe renewed optimism is being driven by two major factors: the health crisis is easing and Uncle Sam is coming to the rescue with staggering amounts of aid-- hundreds of billions more than seemed to be in the cards just months ago.\nAfter supplying $4 trillion of relief last year, Washington is expected to pump in another $2 trillion of deficit-financed support in 2021, according to Moody's Analytics. That represents more than a quarter of annual US GDP.\n\"That is a lot of economic juice,\" Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody's Analytics, told CNN Business.\nThe turning point happened last month when Democrats took narrow control of the US Senate by sweeping the runoff races in Georgia. That opened a path for President Joe Biden's $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan, which features $1,400 stimulus checks, enhanced unemployment benefits and a $350 billion lifeline to state and local governments.\n'Summer mini-boom'\nBefore the Georgia elections, Zandi didn't think the US economy would return to full employment (a strong labor market with 4% unemployment) until the spring or summer of 2023. Now, he expects that achievement to happen next spring, echoing a forecast by Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.\n\"Super-charged fiscal policy\" means the argument for the US economy growing faster than its peers \"seems to get stronger day-by-day,\" economists at Bank of America wrote in a recent report to clients.\nOxford Economics chief US economist Gregory Daco is calling for a \"summer mini-boom\" in the United States and 5.9% GDP growth in 2021.\nLikewise, Jefferies economists say \"explosive income growth (courtesy of fiscal stimulus) is likely to propel US GDP 6.4% higher this year and nearly 5% next year.\"\n\"If anything, our forecast might be too conservative,\" Jefferies told clients in a recent note, pointing out that its view incorporates just $1 trillion of the Biden plan.\nIndeed, Goldman Sachs upgraded its 2021 GDP forecast to 6.8% earlier this week because the Wall Street bank now assumes additional fiscal relief of $1.5 trillion, up from $1.1 trillion previously. If Goldman's prediction comes true, it would be the fastest annual GDP growth for the United States since 1989,according to the St. Louis Fed.\nThe rosy GDP forecasts are well above what the Federal Reserve is calling for. In December, the Fed expected 2021 GDP growth of just 4.2% and said unemployment wouldn't slip below 4% until 2023.\nDouble-dip recession averted\nThe Fed tends to be conservative with its economic forecasts. And, crucially, the Fed forecast was released at a time when political dysfunction in DC was casting a shadow over the US economy.\nFor months, Republicans and Democrats tried and failed to reach a deal on extending crucial unemployment and eviction benefits scheduled to lapse and providing more forgivable loans to small businesses. And then when a deal was finally reached, former President Donald Trump threatened to blow it up.\nAt the last minute, Trump signed the $900 billion relief package into law, averting economic disaster.\n\"Without that, we would be in a double dip recession,\" said Zandi, the Moody's economist.\nSlammed by the pandemic, the US economy limped to the end of 2020 and started this year slowly. In December, employers cut jobs in for the first time since the spring. And the United States added just 49,000 jobs in January.\nJobless claims remain alarmingly high. Another 793,000 Americans filed for first time unemployment benefits last week alone. For context, that is above the worst levels of the Great Recession.\nVaccines to the rescue\nBut there are glimmers of hope on the pandemic. Although Covid deaths remain unthinkably high, hospitalizations and cases have retreated.\nCritically, the rollout of coronavirus vaccines is accelerating. Out of a total of 66 million vaccines distributed, about 70% have been administered, according to Morgan Stanley.\nAnd Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation's top infectious disease expert, told NBC News Thursday that the United States may be able to vaccinate most Americans by the middle or end of summer.\nAll of this has allowed states including California, New York and New Jersey to relax health restrictions crushing restaurants and other small businesses.\nThat's not to say the pandemic is over. In fact, one risk is that new Covid-19 variants force US states and cities to once again tighten health restrictions.\nLow-wage workers are still hurting badly\nAgainst this backdrop, many economists are urging Washington to push ahead with plans for aggressive fiscal stimulus.\n\"Foot flat on the accelerator, please,\" Zandi, the Moody's economist said. \"Policymaking 101 says err on the side of doing too much, rather than too little.\"\nDoing too little risks worsening America's inequality problem. That's because this recession, more than prior ones, disproportionately hurt low-income workers in hard-hit sectors such as restaurants, childcare and hospitality.\nEmployment levels of low-wage workers (those making less than $27,000 per year) is still down more than 20%, according to the Opportunity Insights Economic tracker. By contrast, employment levels of those making more than $60,000 per year are above pre-crisis levels.\n\"Biden's team is unlikely to break out the champagne over reaching full employment if it isn't evident across income and racial groups,\" economists at Bank of America wrote in a report to clients.\nHowever, Danielle DiMartino Booth, a former Fed official who is now CEO of Quill Intelligence, worries the focus on providing income, instead of investing in infrastructure and reskilling workers, will make the country addicted to stimulus.\n\"The economy is going to turn into this dependent patient, always waiting for the next injection,\" Booth said.\n'Bring it on'\nSome economists, including former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, have warned there is a risk that Washington overheats the economy by injecting too much support.\n\"You could have quite the inflation scare in the next few months that will test the bond market and the Fed,\" Booth said.\nAnd that in turn would spook the red-hot stock market.\nFed watchers are moving up their timelines for when the central bank will be able to end its emergency policies.\nCiting \"signs of a firmer inflation outlook,\" Goldman Sachs now expects the Fed to start \"tapering\" its asset purchases in early 2022 and to raise interest rates in the first half of 2024.\nZandi isn't losing sleep over inflation, mostly because the United States is far from full employment.\n\"It's a vastly overstated worry,\" he said. \"Bring it on. That's a lot of newly printed US dollars that will find its way to the stock market. Every stimulus package furthers dilutes the purchasing power of the US dollar and makes high-quality growth stocks much more expensive.
\n
Here are 5 EV stocks to buy from the recent dip in the prices.
\n
1. Tesla
\n
Tesla is a diversified energy company that sells EVs, solar roofs, and solar panels.
\n
The company is best known for its futuristic electric cars and charismatic CEO, Elon Musk. Tesla's TTM revenue is around $31 billion and delivered just under 500,000 EVs in 2020.
\n
Data by YCharts
\n
Even though Tesla has faced some short-term headwinds like a global chip shortage and falling market share in some key markets, I believe Tesla will remain focused on its goal to deliver 20 million EVs annually by 2030.
\n
Competition is normal and it's unrealistic for any company to generate 80%+ of all industry revenue.
\n
Historically, Tesla stock is a wonderful wealth generator with 60% CAGR over the last 10 years.
\n
The truth is many long-term Tesla bulls will buy this dip in price and the new stimulus money will give investors a reason to pump more money into Tesla stock.
\n
2. Nio (NIO)
\n
Nio is a Chinese-based EV maker that delivered around 43,000 EVs in 2020.
\n
The company already hit record deliveries in January 2021 but experienced a temporary slowdown in February due to the Chinese lunar new year.
\n
As investors shifted money away from growth stocks into value stock, Nio stock has fallen around 40% from its yearly highs.
\n
Is this the right time to panic? Of course not, Nio stock also has an impressive compounded annual growth rate plus is nowhere near its long-term potential.Nio announced the new Nio ET7 sedan during its annual Nio day and production will start in early 2022.
\n
In Q4 2020, Nio delivered 17,353 deliveries and generated over $1 billion in revenue.
\n
Data by YCharts
\n
While Tesla is the clear leader in the Chinese EV market, Nio is growing at a rapid pace and still remains a strong long-term growth stock for EV investors.
\n
3. XPeng (XPEV)
\n
XPeng is a Chinese-based smart EV maker that sells two main electric cars: the P7 and G3.
\n
The company has drawn comparisons to Tesla with its flashy line of good-looking EVs and a fast-growing supercharging network.
\n
Deliveries are much smaller than Nio or Tesla but I like the XPeng's overall product concept.
\n
XPeng focuses on forward-thinking technology like self-parking, autonomous driving, and software upgrades that draws the famous comparison to Tesla.
\n
The company grew Q4 2020 revenue 345% YoY to $436.6 million with 12,964 EVs delivered.
\n
Data by YCharts
\n
Both are massive records for XPeng with more gains in revenue and deliveries projected for the rest of 2021. At just a market cap of around $25 billion, I think XPeng is one of the better EV stocks to buy in terms of overall market cap and future growth potential.
\n
4. ChargePoint (CHPT)
\n
ChargePoint is the largest EV charging station network in North America and just recently completed its SPAC merger with Switchback Energy.
\n
My bullish thesis for ChargePoint is the fact that all EVs sold (both consumer and commercial) must be charged. ChargePoint set a goal to launch 2.5 million charging ports by 2025 in North America and Europe.
\n
The EV movement is only gaining steam this year and President Joe Biden plans to build 500,000 EV charging stations to support the movement towards zero carbon emissions.
\n
ChargePoint will announce its first quarterly earnings report on March 11th as a publicly traded company and it will be interesting to see exactly how much revenue the company generates. Estimates show ChargePoint generates between $100 to $150 million annually, which means a P/S ratio of around 40 isn't too expensive considering its growth potential.
\n
5. Churchill Capital Corp IV (CCIV)
\n
Lucid Motors has planned a merger via a SPAC deal with CCIV sometime in the first half of 2021. Lucid Motors CEO Peter Rawlinson is a former employee of Tesla and plans to launch the Lucid Air in the 2nd half of 2021.
\n
The Lucid Air is one of the most luxurious EVs I've ever seen. It has a 512-mile battery range and can comfortably fit 5 people within the sedan with plenty of room to spare. Based on the interior of private jets, the Lucid Air has attracted a lot of investment capital from institutional investors and even the Saudi Public Investment Fund.
\n
Lucid Motors is a $36 billion company based on CCIV's current share price and the company plans to deliver 500,000 EVs by 2030.
\n
I call Lucid Motors a version of \"Tesla 2.0\" and the company will operate as a diversified energy company just like Tesla. Lucid Motors plans to sell EV batteries, clean stored energy, and also allow Lucid Air EVs to act as a backup generator in case of a power outage.
\n
Everyone saw how valuable a cult following is for any company and Tesla definitely benefited from the massive obsession of its shareholders. The good news is Lucid Motors is on the right track and the CCIV subreddit already has 35,000 followers who anxiously anticipate the merger.
\n
If Lucid Motors can execute on its bold claims and deliver the next generation of luxury EVs then Lucid Motors stock looks like a compelling buy at these depressed price levels.
\n
Focus on EV Companies with Solid Revenue Growth
\n
4 of these 5 stocks generate strong revenue and plan to continue revenue growth at a rapid pace.
\n
I made the point of leaving out some more speculative EV plays like Fisker (FSR) and Workhorse (WKHS) because these stocks are pure speculation at this point.
\n
EV growth will become a huge trend in the future but many consumers aren't aware of electric car benefits just yet. That means several EV companies will fall over time so it's important to pick companies with either strong revenues or a massive cult following.
\n
Risk Factors: Decline in EV Sales, Chip Shortages, and Post-Pandemic Consumer Spending Changes
\n
Of course, the EV sector comes with several risk factors that could delay the inevitable shift to electric vehicles.
\n
Global EV sales are soaring and Chinese EV sales posted a seven-fold increase YoY in February. However, things could turn south and it's possible that EV sales growth slows down or even declines in the future. While I believe this risk factor is almost impossible due to new government sanctions, I feel it deserves mentioning.
\n
EV demand is so strong now that a global chip shortage has affected production and deliveries, especially in the Chinese EV market. EVs are basically \"computers on wheels\" and EV makers rely on fast and powerful chips to power the hardware of electric cars. If global chip shortages last longer than expected then EV stocks could decline as investors chase other sectors.
\n
Lastly, I feel post-pandemic fears could disrupt the EV market as well in the short run. I expect a large amount of Americans to save their stimulus checks or spend them on the bare essentials like food, rent, and transportation. It's unclear how consumers will respond once society opens back up this summer.
\n
If consumer spending shifts away from EVs to public transportation then the EV market could experience a decline in revenue across the board.
\n
Conclusion
\n
My investing motto when it comes to EV stocks can be summed up in one sentence: Be greedy when others are fearful and fearful when others are greedy.
\n
The EV stock selloff is completely based on fear and the smart money bought some of these mentioned EV stocks on the dip.
\n
Many investors will pump their stimulus checks into their favorite stocks and I think the EV sector will benefit from the sudden influx of capital
\n
It's a great time to pick up EV growth stocks at a discount and hold for the long run.
","source":"seekingalpha","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; That's a lot of newly printed US dollars that will find its way to the stock market. Every stimulus package furthers dilutes the purchasing power of the US dollar and makes high-quality growth stocks much more expensive.\nHere are 5 EV stocks to buy from the recent dip in the prices.\n1. Tesla\nTesla is a diversified energy company that sells EVs, solar roofs, and solar panels.\nThe company is best known for its futuristic electric cars and charismatic CEO, Elon Musk. Tesla's TTM revenue is around $31 billion and delivered just under 500,000 EVs in 2020.\nData by YCharts\nEven though Tesla has faced some short-term headwinds like a global chip shortage and falling market share in some key markets, I believe Tesla will remain focused on its goal to deliver 20 million EVs annually by 2030.\nCompetition is normal and it's unrealistic for any company to generate 80%+ of all industry revenue.\nHistorically, Tesla stock is a wonderful wealth generator with 60% CAGR over the last 10 years.\nThe truth is many long-term Tesla bulls will buy this dip in price and the new stimulus money will give investors a reason to pump more money into Tesla stock.\n2. Nio (NIO)\nNio is a Chinese-based EV maker that delivered around 43,000 EVs in 2020.\nThe company already hit record deliveries in January 2021 but experienced a temporary slowdown in February due to the Chinese lunar new year.\nAs investors shifted money away from growth stocks into value stock, Nio stock has fallen around 40% from its yearly highs.\nIs this the right time to panic? Of course not, Nio stock also has an impressive compounded annual growth rate plus is nowhere near its long-term potential.Nio announced the new Nio ET7 sedan during its annual Nio day and production will start in early 2022.\nIn Q4 2020, Nio delivered 17,353 deliveries and generated over $1 billion in revenue.\nData by YCharts\nWhile Tesla is the clear leader in the Chinese EV market, Nio is growing at a rapid pace and still remains a strong long-term growth stock for EV investors.\n3. XPeng (XPEV)\nXPeng is a Chinese-based smart EV maker that sells two main electric cars: the P7 and G3.\nThe company has drawn comparisons to Tesla with its flashy line of good-looking EVs and a fast-growing supercharging network.\nDeliveries are much smaller than Nio or Tesla but I like the XPeng's overall product concept.\nXPeng focuses on forward-thinking technology like self-parking, autonomous driving, and software upgrades that draws the famous comparison to Tesla.\nThe company grew Q4 2020 revenue 345% YoY to $436.6 million with 12,964 EVs delivered.\nData by YCharts\nBoth are massive records for XPeng with more gains in revenue and deliveries projected for the rest of 2021. At just a market cap of around $25 billion, I think XPeng is one of the better EV stocks to buy in terms of overall market cap and future growth potential.\n4. ChargePoint (CHPT)\nChargePoint is the largest EV charging station network in North America and just recently completed its SPAC merger with Switchback Energy.\nMy bullish thesis for ChargePoint is the fact that all EVs sold (both consumer and commercial) must be charged. ChargePoint set a goal to launch 2.5 million charging ports by 2025 in North America and Europe.\nThe EV movement is only gaining steam this year and President Joe Biden plans to build 500,000 EV charging stations to support the movement towards zero carbon emissions.\nChargePoint will announce its first quarterly earnings report on March 11th as a publicly traded company and it will be interesting to see exactly how much revenue the company generates. Estimates show ChargePoint generates between $100 to $150 million annually, which means a P/S ratio of around 40 isn't too expensive considering its growth potential.\n5. Churchill Capital Corp IV (CCIV)\nLucid Motors has planned a merger via a SPAC deal with CCIV sometime in the first half of 2021. Lucid Motors CEO Peter Rawlinson is a former employee of Tesla and plans to launch the Lucid Air in the 2nd half of 2021.\nThe Lucid Air is one of the most luxurious EVs I've ever seen. It has a 512-mile battery range and can comfortably fit 5 people within the sedan with plenty of room to spare. Based on the interior of private jets, the Lucid Air has attracted a lot of investment capital from institutional investors and even the Saudi Public Investment Fund.\nLucid Motors is a $36 billion company based on CCIV's current share price and the company plans to deliver 500,000 EVs by 2030.\nI call Lucid Motors a version of \"Tesla 2.0\" and the company will operate as a diversified energy company just like Tesla. Lucid Motors plans to sell EV batteries, clean stored energy, and also allow Lucid Air EVs to act as a backup generator in case of a power outage.\nEveryone saw how valuable a cult following is for any company and Tesla definitely benefited from the massive obsession of its shareholders. The good news is Lucid Motors is on the right track and the CCIV subreddit already has 35,000 followers who anxiously anticipate the merger.\nIf Lucid Motors can execute on its bold claims and deliver the next generation of luxury EVs then Lucid Motors stock looks like a compelling buy at these depressed price levels.\nFocus on EV Companies with Solid Revenue Growth\n4 of these 5 stocks generate strong revenue and plan to continue revenue growth at a rapid pace.\nI made the point of leaving out some more speculative EV plays like Fisker (FSR) and Workhorse (WKHS) because these stocks are pure speculation at this point.\nEV growth will become a huge trend in the future but many consumers aren't aware of electric car benefits just yet. That means several EV companies will fall over time so it's important to pick companies with either strong revenues or a massive cult following.\nRisk Factors: Decline in EV Sales, Chip Shortages, and Post-Pandemic Consumer Spending Changes\nOf course, the EV sector comes with several risk factors that could delay the inevitable shift to electric vehicles.\nGlobal EV sales are soaring and Chinese EV sales posted a seven-fold increase YoY in February. However, things could turn south and it's possible that EV sales growth slows down or even declines in the future. While I believe this risk factor is almost impossible due to new government sanctions, I feel it deserves mentioning.\nEV demand is so strong now that a global chip shortage has affected production and deliveries, especially in the Chinese EV market. EVs are basically \"computers on wheels\" and EV makers rely on fast and powerful chips to power the hardware of electric cars. If global chip shortages last longer than expected then EV stocks could decline as investors chase other sectors.\nLastly, I feel post-pandemic fears could disrupt the EV market as well in the short run. I expect a large amount of Americans to save their stimulus checks or spend them on the bare essentials like food, rent, and transportation. It's unclear how consumers will respond once society opens back up this summer.\nIf consumer spending shifts away from EVs to public transportation then the EV market could experience a decline in revenue across the board.\nConclusion\nMy investing motto when it comes to EV stocks can be summed up in one sentence: Be greedy when others are fearful and fearful when others are greedy.\nThe EV stock selloff is completely based on fear and the smart money bought some of these mentioned EV stocks on the dip.\nMany investors will pump their stimulus checks into their favorite stocks and I think the EV sector will benefit from the sudden influx of capital\nIt's a great time to pick up EV growth stocks at a discount and hold for the long run.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":148,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":153831901,"gmtCreate":1625016555503,"gmtModify":1703850151960,"author":{"id":"3567061106843643","authorId":"3567061106843643","name":"Cheechee","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/adcb74070a81ea4d23f038c7e4d0c80e","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3567061106843643","authorIdStr":"3567061106843643"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Gimme a like please","listText":"Gimme a like please","text":"Gimme a like please","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":6,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/153831901","repostId":"1122418477","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1122418477","pubTimestamp":1625008161,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1122418477?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-06-30 07:09","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Tech stocks propel S&P 500, Nasdaq to fresh highs","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1122418477","media":"CNBC","summary":"The S&P 500 notched another record high on Tuesday amid bullish economic data but retreated toward the flat line later in the session as Wall Street continued its recent period of low volatility. The broad market index ticked up less than 0.1% to 4,291.80, good enough for its fourth-straight record close. Historically low lending rates, dovish monetary policy, and a free-spending Capitol Hill (at least during the pandemic) have allowed fast-growing companies to thrive.
\n
Typically, it's smaller companies that generate some of the fastest sales growth, while large-cap stocks (those with market caps of at least $10 billion) grow at a more tempered pace. Larger companies are more likely to have time-tested or mature operating models, making it less common that they generate eye-popping revenue growth.
\n
However, the following large-cap stocks didn't get that memo. Each and every one of these companies is on track to, at minimum, quintuple their sales over a four-year period, according to Wall Street's consensus revenue estimate for 2024 (or fiscal 2025). You could rightly say that these are five of the fastest-growing large-cap stocks on the planet.
\n
\n
Sea Limited: Implied four-year sales growth of 400%
\n
Who said companies with market caps in excess of $100 billion can't grow like their smaller competitors? According to analysts, Singapore-based Sea Limited (NYSE:SE) is expected to see its full-year sales skyrocket from $4.39 billion in 2020 to about $21.9 billion in 2024. That works out to a quintupling in full-year revenue in four years.
\n
Sea's secret sauce (say that three times fast) is that it has three rapidly growing operating segments. For the moment, it's being anchored by its digital gaming operations. The company ended March with close to 649 million active users, 12.3% of which were paying to play. That's well above the industry average, and it's notably higher than the 8.9% of quarterly active users who were paying one year ago.
\n
However, the superstar for this company is its e-commerce platform, Shopee. It's the top shopping app downloaded in Southeastern Asia, and it's becoming especially popular in Brazil. In the first quarter of 2021, Shopee saw $12.6 billion in gross merchandise value (GMV) purchased. For some context here, Shopee did $10.3 billion in GMV in all of 2018. Both the coronavirus pandemic and the rise of the middle class throughout Southeastern Asia is driving online purchases.
\n
Lastly, Sea has its rapidly growing digital financial services segment. More than 26 million people were paying for mobile wallet services at the end of March. Since the company targets a number of underbanked emerging markets, this digital financial services segment could be a major long-term growth driver.
\n
\n
Plug Power: Implied four-year sales growth of 404%
\n
Companies focused on renewable energy solutions should be among the fastest growing this decade. Over the next four years investors will struggle to find a green-energy stock expanding quicker than hydrogen fuel-cell solutions provider Plug Power (NASDAQ:PLUG). After delivering $337 million in sales in 2020, Plug has guided for $1.7 billion in full-year revenue for 2024. That's a cool 404% increase, if it comes to fruition.
\n
For the time being, climate change is Plug Power's best friend. Joe Biden winning the presidency last year, coupled with Democrats regaining control of the Senate by the narrowest of margins, gives the current administration an opportunity to pass a clean energy bill. While it's unclear what a final infrastructure bill might look like, it's almost a certainty that clean vehicle solutions, such as those developed by Plug Power, will benefit.
\n
Additionally, the company secured two joint ventures just days apart in January. First, SK Group took a 10% equity stake in the company, with the duo aiming to introduce hydrogen fuel-cell-powered vehicles and hydrogen refilling stations in South Korea. A few days later, Plug landed a deal with French automaker Renault that'll see the two go after Europe's light commercial vehicle market. Both joint ventures should result in Plug Power's orders catapulting higher.
\n
\n
Snowflake: Implied four-year sales growth of 559%
\n
The cloud computing space is home to dozens of fast-growing companies, none of which appear to be increasing its sales faster than cloud data-warehousing company Snowflake (NYSE:SNOW). In fiscal 2021, Snowflake's sales grew by 124% to $592 million. But based on Wall Street's consensus for fiscal 2025, it's on track to generate $3.9 billion in revenue. This would represent a four-year increase of 559%.
\n
What makes Snowflake so special is the company's competitive advantages. For example, it's shunned subscriptions in favor of a pay-as-you-go operating model. Customers pay for the amount of data they store and the number of Snowflake Compute Credits used. This allows the company's clients to keep better tabs on their expenses.
\n
Also, since Snowflake's solutions are built atop the most popular cloud infrastructure platforms, customers can share data seamlessly, even across competing services.
\n
Though it's the fastest-growing cloud stock, Snowflake is also one of the priciest. It's currently valued at 67 times projected sales for fiscal 2022 and roughly 19 times estimated sales four years from now. Historically low lending rates, dovish monetary policy, and a free-spending Capitol Hill (at least during the pandemic) have allowed fast-growing companies to thrive.\nTypically, it's smaller companies that generate some of the fastest sales growth, while large-cap stocks (those with market caps of at least $10 billion) grow at a more tempered pace. Larger companies are more likely to have time-tested or mature operating models, making it less common that they generate eye-popping revenue growth.\nHowever, the following large-cap stocks didn't get that memo. Each and every one of these companies is on track to, at minimum, quintuple their sales over a four-year period, according to Wall Street's consensus revenue estimate for 2024 (or fiscal 2025). You could rightly say that these are five of the fastest-growing large-cap stocks on the planet.\nImage source: Getty Images.\nSea Limited: Implied four-year sales growth of 400%\nWho said companies with market caps in excess of $100 billion can't grow like their smaller competitors? According to analysts, Singapore-based Sea Limited (NYSE:SE) is expected to see its full-year sales skyrocket from $4.39 billion in 2020 to about $21.9 billion in 2024. That works out to a quintupling in full-year revenue in four years.\nSea's secret sauce (say that three times fast) is that it has three rapidly growing operating segments. For the moment, it's being anchored by its digital gaming operations. The company ended March with close to 649 million active users, 12.3% of which were paying to play. That's well above the industry average, and it's notably higher than the 8.9% of quarterly active users who were paying one year ago.\nHowever, the superstar for this company is its e-commerce platform, Shopee. Both the coronavirus pandemic and the rise of the middle class throughout Southeastern Asia is driving online purchases.\nLastly, Sea has its rapidly growing digital financial services segment. More than 26 million people were paying for mobile wallet services at the end of March. Since the company targets a number of underbanked emerging markets, this digital financial services segment could be a major long-term growth driver.\nImage source: Getty Images.\nPlug Power: Implied four-year sales growth of 404%\nCompanies focused on renewable energy solutions should be among the fastest growing this decade. That's a cool 404% increase, if it comes to fruition.\nFor the time being, climate change is Plug Power's best friend. Joe Biden winning the presidency last year, coupled with Democrats regaining control of the Senate by the narrowest of margins, gives the current administration an opportunity to pass a clean energy bill. While it's unclear what a final infrastructure bill might look like, it's almost a certainty that clean vehicle solutions, such as those developed by Plug Power, will benefit.\nAdditionally, the company secured two joint ventures just days apart in January. Both joint ventures should result in Plug Power's orders catapulting higher.\nImage source: Getty Images.\nSnowflake: Implied four-year sales growth of 559%\nThe cloud computing space is home to dozens of fast-growing companies, none of which appear to be increasing its sales faster than cloud data-warehousing company Snowflake (NYSE:SNOW). In fiscal 2021, Snowflake's sales grew by 124% to $592 million. But based on Wall Street's consensus for fiscal 2025, it's on track to generate $3.9 billion in revenue. This would represent a four-year increase of 559%.\nWhat makes Snowflake so special is the company's competitive advantages. For example, it's shunned subscriptions in favor of a pay-as-you-go operating model. Customers pay for the amount of data they store and the number of Snowflake Compute Credits used. This allows the company's clients to keep better tabs on their expenses.\nAlso, since Snowflake's solutions are built atop the most popular cloud infrastructure platforms, customers can share data seamlessly, even across competing services.\nThough it's the fastest-growing cloud stock, Snowflake is also one of the priciest. It's currently valued at 67 times projected sales for fiscal 2022 and roughly 19 times estimated sales four years from now. But if the company makes good on its fiscal 2029 outlook of $10 billion in product sales, paying this premium may be well worth it.\nThe NIO EC6 EV crossover SUV. Image source: NIO.\nNIO: Implied four-year sales growth of 561%\nAnother absolute beast of a growth trend this decade is the rise of electric vehicles (EV). His beloved Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE:BRK.A) (NYSE:BRK.B) lagged well behind the S&P 500 in 2020. However, it's a much better story so far this year with Berkshire's shares up more than 20% -- well ahead of any of the major market indexes.
\n
It wouldn't be a bad move at all for investors to scoop up shares of Berkshire. However, I think some of Berkshire's holdings that underperformed in the first half of this year are poised to deliver stronger gains. Here are three Buffett stocks to buy in July.
\n

\n
\n
AbbVie
\n
Buffett appeared to be a big fan of big pharma in 2020, buying shares of several large drugmakers. AbbVie (NYSE:ABBV) ranked as one of his top buys. Berkshire has trimmed its position in AbbVie somewhat but still owns nearly 22.9 million shares.
\n
My view is that AbbVie is Buffett's best dividend stock by far. It offers a dividend yield of over 4.5%. The company has increased its dividend for 49 consecutive years, a feat that puts it in the upper echelon of dividend stocks.
\n
Sure, AbbVie will lose U.S. exclusivity for blockbuster drug Humira in 2023. However, the company has several other growth drivers that it thinks will fuel robust overall revenue growth through the rest of this decade after a temporary pause when Humira's sales begin to decline.
\n
The stock should have at least one potential catalyst on the way in the near future. AbbVie hopes to win European approval for Rinvoq in treating atopic dermatitis in Q3 after receiving a positive recommendation from the Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use.
\n
Amazon.com
\n
You could argue that Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN) really isn't a Buffett stock. One of the legendary investor's lieutenants actually picked the stock for Berkshire's portfolio in 2019. However, Buffett has been a longtime fan of Amazon's business and its founder, Jeff Bezos.
\n
In some respects, Amazon seems like an ideal Buffett stock. The internet giant has a strong moat -- something that the Oracle of Omaha has always prized. It also generates a high return on equity, another big plus in Buffett's eyes.
\n
Both of these are good reasons to consider buying Amazon stock. I'd put the company's growth prospects even higher on the list, though.
\n
You might not think Amazon would have a lot of growth opportunities in e-commerce considering how dominant it already is. But online sales made up only 13.4% of total retail sales in the U.S. during the first quarter of 2021.
\n
Amazon has even better avenues for growth with its AWS cloud unit and its forays into other markets. I especially look for the company to gain traction in the healthcare sector with its pharmacy and telehealth businesses.
\n
Apple
\n
Last, but not least, on the \"A-list\" of Buffett stocks to buy in July (each stock begins with the letter \"A\") is Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL). Actually, Apple should have arguably been first on the list. It's Berkshire's single biggest equity holding. Buffett has even referred to Apple as \"probably the best business I know in the world.\"
\n
I wouldn't argue with Buffett on that point. Apple recently reclaimed its throne as the world's most valuable brand (knocking Amazon out of the top spot). The company's customers remain intensely loyal.
\n
Apple continues to provide good reasons for consumers to stay in its ecosystem. Sales of its 5G-enabled iPhones are soaring. This momentum fuels higher sales for many of the company's other products and services, including AirPods and apps on the App Store.
\n
The future for Apple also looks bright. The company reportedly has a foldable iPhone on the way. It's positioned for success in augmented reality (AR). I expect that Apple will further cement its place as Buffett's favorite -- and make him and other investors a lot more money.
","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
3 Warren Buffett Stocks to Buy in July
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n3 Warren Buffett Stocks to Buy in July\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-07-06 09:37 GMT+8 Motley Fool\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Warren Buffett is back to his winning ways. Berkshire has trimmed its position in AbbVie somewhat but still owns nearly 22.9 million shares.\nMy view is that AbbVie is Buffett's best dividend stock by far. It offers a dividend yield of over 4.5%. The company has increased its dividend for 49 consecutive years, a feat that puts it in the upper echelon of dividend stocks.\nSure, AbbVie will lose U.S. exclusivity for blockbuster drug Humira in 2023. However, the company has several other growth drivers that it thinks will fuel robust overall revenue growth through the rest of this decade after a temporary pause when Humira's sales begin to decline.\nThe stock should have at least one potential catalyst on the way in the near future. AbbVie hopes to win European approval for Rinvoq in treating atopic dermatitis in Q3 after receiving a positive recommendation from the Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use.\nAmazon.com\nYou could argue that Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN) really isn't a Buffett stock. One of the legendary investor's lieutenants actually picked the stock for Berkshire's portfolio in 2019. However, Buffett has been a longtime fan of Amazon's business and its founder, Jeff Bezos.\nIn some respects, Amazon seems like an ideal Buffett stock. The internet giant has a strong moat -- something that the Oracle of Omaha has always prized. It also generates a high return on equity, another big plus in Buffett's eyes.\nBoth of these are good reasons to consider buying Amazon stock. I'd put the company's growth prospects even higher on the list, though.\nYou might not think Amazon would have a lot of growth opportunities in e-commerce considering how dominant it already is. But online sales made up only 13.4% of total retail sales in the U.S. during the first quarter of 2021.\nAmazon has even better avenues for growth with its AWS cloud unit and its forays into other markets. I especially look for the company to gain traction in the healthcare sector with its pharmacy and telehealth businesses.\nApple\nLast, but not least, on the \"A-list\" of Buffett stocks to buy in July (each stock begins with the letter \"A\") is Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL). Actually, Apple should have arguably been first on the list. It's Berkshire's single biggest equity holding. Buffett has even referred to Apple as \"probably the best business I know in the world.\"\nI wouldn't argue with Buffett on that point. Apple recently reclaimed its throne as the world's most valuable brand (knocking Amazon out of the top spot). The company's customers remain intensely loyal.\nApple continues to provide good reasons for consumers to stay in its ecosystem. Sales of its 5G-enabled iPhones are soaring. This momentum fuels higher sales for many of the company's other products and services, including AirPods and apps on the App Store.\nThe future for Apple also looks bright. The company reportedly has a foldable iPhone on the way. It's positioned for success in augmented reality (AR). I expect that Apple will further cement its place as Buffett's favorite -- and make him and other investors a lot more money.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":192,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":329164345,"gmtCreate":1615215646987,"gmtModify":1704779714284,"author":{"id":"3567061106843643","authorId":"3567061106843643","name":"Cheechee","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/adcb74070a81ea4d23f038c7e4d0c80e","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3567061106843643","authorIdStr":"3567061106843643"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow. The streaming specialist is valued at roughly $3.3 billion and is priced at approximately 6.1 times this year's expected sales.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":104,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":365617457,"gmtCreate":1614734832179,"gmtModify":1704774571846,"author":{"id":"3567061106843643","authorId":"3567061106843643","name":"Cheechee","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/adcb74070a81ea4d23f038c7e4d0c80e","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3567061106843643","authorIdStr":"3567061106843643"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Definitely time to buy tesla and apple ","listText":"Definitely time to buy tesla and apple ","text":"Definitely time to buy tesla and apple","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/365617457","repostId":"1187509414","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1187509414","pubTimestamp":1614730102,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1187509414?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-03-03 08:08","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Wall Street ends lower as Apple and Tesla retreat","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1187509414","media":"reuters","summary":" - Wall Street ended lower on Tuesday, pulled down by Apple and Tesla, while materials stocks climbed as investors waited for the U.S. Congress to approve another stimulus package.Following strong gains in the prior session, technology shares dipped in the resumption of a rotation by investors out of stocks that outperformed due to the coronavirus pandemic and into others viewed as likely to do well as the economy recovers. Beijing routinely denies carrying out cyberespionage despite numerous allegations from the United States and others.\nAhead of the Microsoft announcement, the hackers' increasingly aggressive moves began to attract attention across the cybersecurity community.\nMr Mike McLellan, director of intelligence for Dell Technologies's Secureworks, said he had noticed a sudden spike in activity touching Exchange servers overnight on Sunday, with around 10 customers affected at his firm.\nMicrosoft's near-ubiquitous suite of products has been under scrutiny since the hack of SolarWinds, the Texas-based software firm that served as a springboard for several intrusions across government and the private sector.\nIn other cases, hackers took advantage of the way customers set up their Microsoft services to compromise their targets or dive further into affected networks.\nHackers who went after SolarWinds also breached Microsoft itself, accessing and downloading source code - including elements of Exchange, the company's email and calendaring product.\nMr McLellan said the hacking activity he had seen appeared focused on seeding malicious software and setting the stage for a potentially deeper intrusion rather than aggressively moving into networks right away.\n\"We haven't seen any follow-on activity yet,\" he said.\n\"We're going to find a lot of companies affected but a smaller number of companies actually exploited.\"\nMicrosoft said targets included infectious disease researchers, law firms, higher education institutions, defence contractors, policy think tanks and non-governmental groups.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":147,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":385116623,"gmtCreate":1613522169062,"gmtModify":1704881535948,"author":{"id":"3567061106843643","authorId":"3567061106843643","name":"Cheechee","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/adcb74070a81ea4d23f038c7e4d0c80e","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3567061106843643","authorIdStr":"3567061106843643"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Hi","listText":"Hi","text":"Hi","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/385116623","repostId":"1108705396","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1108705396","pubTimestamp":1613469786,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1108705396?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-02-16 18:03","market":"us","language":"en","title":"With Biden going big, Wall Street economists are growing bullish on the US economy","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1108705396","media":"CNN Business","summary":"New York (CNN Business) The Covid-ravaged American economy was on the verge of slipping into a doubl","content":"
New York (CNN Business) The Covid-ravaged American economy was on the verge of slipping into a double-dip recession at the end of 2020.
