(NYSE:PLTR) is one of the few public companies that are destined to successfully deal with the ongoing geopolitical shocks that we are currently experiencing. The company has a healthy balance sheet, no major exposure to emerging markets, and a handful list of clients from the public and private sectors, who are eager to optimize their processes to improve the efficiency of their organizations and cut down costs. In addition, thanks to its close connections to the Pentagon, the company will likely benefit from the increased military spending of the U.S. and its European allies, as the latest NATO Summit in Madrid showed the willingness of member states to substantially increase their defense budgets. Also, Palantir’s space and geospatial intelligence solutions are likely going to attract new customers given its successes on the Ukrainian battlefield.

Therefore, as investors are preparing to hear Palantir’s Q2 earnings results in August, now is a good time to go through some latest developments that will positively affect the company’s performance in the long run, and discuss its intrinsic value in the current environment to solidify the bullish case for the stock.

New Global Order

In the past, I have already extensively covered Palantir’s governmental contracts, which account for the majority of the company’s revenues. However, the latest NATO summit in Madrid shows that the company will be able to increase its market share in the defense business even more all thanks to its unique AI-based defense software solutions that are built on Palantir’s Gotham platform.

The major highlight of the summit was the adoption of NATO’s new Strategic Concept document that outlines the security policy of all member states for the following years. While the document itself is long and full of different details about various aspects of a new security policy, I want to focus on several main things from the final declaration that was adopted at the end of the summit, as they’ll have direct positive implications for Palantir’s business. During the summit, NATO member states agreed on the following:

We will build on our newly enhanced posture, and significantly strengthen our deterrence and defense for the long term to ensure the security and defense of all Allies. We will do so in line with our 360-degree approach, across the land, air, maritime, cyber, and space domains, and against all threats and challenges.

Palantir has been very active in cyber and space domains. In one of my previous articles, I have already explained how the company was able to track the movement of Russian troops near the Ukrainian border prior to the invasion. What I want to add to that is that Palantir was and is able to do so thanks to its equity investment in a geospatial intelligence business BlackSky (BKSY), which is able to track important targets on the battlefield that are later destroyed by artillery and rocket strikes. Just recently, BlackSky entered into a 10-year contract with the National Reconnaissance Office that’s worth up to $1 billion. This will make it possible for the company to increase its market share in the geospatial intelligence market and help Palantir to recoup its investment as well.

In addition to this, here’s another important statement that was made by NATO member states:

We are establishing a Defense Innovation Accelerator and launching a multinational Innovation Fund to bring together governments, the private sector, and academia to bolster our technological edge.

At this stage, Palantir is one of the most popular AI-based software solution providers to governmental agencies, as the U.S. Army, Navy, Space Command, CIA, and a handful of other departments are its clients. While in the past there was pessimism about the company’s governmental business due to the lack of new contracts at the beginning of this year, the sentiment in recent months has completely changed. NATO’s commitment to improving its technological capabilities to tackle the ongoing challenges is a positive long-term sign for Palantir as well.

Just in June, Palantir won a $53.89 million contract modification from the U.S. Space Command and also was selected to develop a prototype for the U.S. Army's TITAN program that’s aimed at tracking threats with the help of AI and machine learning. Given the fact that it’s not the first nor last contract from both the U.S. Army and Space Command, it’s safe to assume that Palantir will continue to establish a stronger presence in the AI-based defense software solution market, especially as it’s also actively expanding its operations in Europe to work with more NATO members.

Finally, another important highlight from the summit is the following statement:

We will build on the progress made to ensure that increased national defense expenditures and NATO common funding will be commensurate with the challenges of a more contested security order. Investing in our defense and key capabilities is essential.

In the past, there was a reluctance to increase defense budgets, especially among European NATO states, due to internal strife. However, the Russian invasion of Ukraine has changed this. If the military spending in the U.S. was declining since 2011, started to rebound only a few years ago, and reached 2011 levels in 2020, then in the following decade, we should see an unprecedented increase in the DoD budget. The latest forecasts show that the U.S. alone will be spending nearly $1 trillion a year by 2032 on defense, which is a positive thing for Palantir, which heavily relies on governmental contracts to grow its business. Add to this an increased spending of other NATO states and you’ll see that Palantir’s growth story is more alive than ever.

Numbers Supplement Palantir's Growth Story

Palantir not only has a growth story going for it but it also has solid fundamentals and a decent upside. The upcoming Q2 earnings results will come out in August, and even though there were nine downward revisions due to the volatile macro environment, the consensus revenue growth rate for the quarter still stands at nearly 26% Y/Y. Considering that a recession is already around the corner, having a double-digit revenue growth rate is pretty impressive in the current environment.

Another positive thing is that the company is already profitable on a non-GAAP basis and is also close to profitability on a GAAP basis. In 2022, theexpectations are that earnings will continue to improve and the EPS for the year will be at $0.16, up nearly 25% Y/Y. What’s also important to note is that Palantir has been generating positive FCF at least since its direct listing in 2020, as in 2020 itsunleveredFCF was $273.8 million, while in 2021 it was $476.7 million.

When it comes to valuations, there has been a lot of speculation about Palantir’s fair value due to its excessive stock-based compensation policy that leads to a net loss on an income statement even though the business has outstanding gross margins of over 70% and generates positive FCF. That’s why I decided to create a DCF model in which I’ll try to figure out the business’s fair value and what shareholders should expect in the future.

For the revenue and EBIT estimates, I took the street consensus for the following years, which shows that advisory firms expect the company to show a positive EBIT in 2022 and onward after years of losses. The tax rate in the model stands at 21% of EBIT, which equals the basic U.S. corporate tax rate since the United States is Palantir's single biggest market. The D&A and capital expenditures in the model are at a rate similar to the previous years, while the change in NWC in the forecasted periods is positive since it’s also positive in the previous years as well.

Palantir's DCF Model(Seeking Alpha, Street Forecasts, Author's Estimates)

The WACC in the model stands at 8.5%, while the terminal growth rate stands at 3%. One of the main upsides of Palantir is that it has no long-term debt or short-term borrowings, which will make it easier for the company to navigate through the current volatile environment as it’s going to be relatively unaffected by higher interest rates.

Another major upside is the fact that Palantir also has $2.52 billion in cash reserves to weather the upcoming financial storm. Thanks to a decent amount of liquidity and no debt, the equity value in the model stands at $22.75 billion which equals to a fair value of $11.17 per share, which represents an upside of nearly 20% from the current market price.

Palantir's DCF Calculations(Author's Estimates)

My DCF price target is also similar to the consensus street target of $11.26 per share:

Palantir's Consensus Price Target(Seeking Alpha)

It made sense for the model to show a similar fair value to the street consensus since the top-line expectations were in-line with the street estimates. However, it still shows a decent upside from the current market price and there are also several things worth discussing to understand why there’s even more room for growth for Palantir’s stock in the long run.

First of all, the company itself aims to grow at an annual revenue rate of 30% or above through 2025, which is above the growth rate in my model. If it manages to do so this and next year thanks to the increased NATO defense spending discussed above, then the intrinsic value already is going to be higher than in the model.

In addition, the stock-based compensation policy is the only thing that prevents Palantir from trading at higher multiples. Let’s not forget that the company has a gross profit margin ofnearly80% due to the small cost of goods sold mostly thanks to the fact that the main thing that it provides is software solutions that don’t require a lot of expenses on Palantir’s side. The moment you decrease stock-based compensations – your EBIT starts to greatly appreciate and change the whole earnings inputs in the model.

The good news is that in recent years Palantir has been significantly decreasing its stock-based compensation expenses. If in 2020 the stock-based compensationwas$1.27 billion, then in 2021 it was only $778 million, down 38.5% Y/Y. If in Q1’21 the stock-based compensation was $193 million, then in Q1’22 it was only $149 million, down 22.8% Y/Y.

This trend of strong top-line growth and the stock-based compensation decrease is one of the main reasons why I continue to be so bullish on Palantir and plan to hold my long position for a long time. Once stock-based compensation decreases even more – my model that already shows a decent upside will become too conservative given the changes to EBIT that were discussed above. This will lead to an even greater fair value and will likely push the stock to higher levels in the future.

Risks

The only main risk to Palantir’s bullish story is a prolonged recession. Since Palantir is a growth company that generated a net loss in recent years due to the excessive stock-based compensation policy – its stock has already suffered a major depreciation. If we’ll see a "lost decade" scenario where the economy will show little to no growth for years, then there’s a risk that Palantir’s commercial side of the business will take a hit. As a result, even if the governmental business continues to grow due to the increased defense spending, Palantir’s commercial customers could terminate their contracts to cut costs, which will negatively affect the company’s performance and decrease its forecasted top-line growth forecast.

However, we shouldn’t forget that the goal of Palantir’s software is to help its clients to better optimize their business processes to cut costs and minimize the downside of supply chain disruptions. That’s why even in the current environment Palantir is able to strike major commercial deals with legacy automakers such as Stellantis (STLA) to accelerate the business’s digital transformation. As a result, it’s safe to say that Palantir will be able to benefit from the changing geopolitical landscape thanks to its unique AI-based defense software solutions. Therefore, as investors are preparing to hear Palantir’s Q2 earnings results in August, now is a good time to go through some latest developments that will positively affect the company’s performance in the long run, and discuss its intrinsic value in the current environment to solidify the bullish case for the stock.New Global OrderIn the past, I have already extensively covered Palantir’s governmental contracts, which account for the majority of the company’s revenues. During the summit, NATO member states agreed on the following:We will build on our newly enhanced posture, and significantly strengthen our deterrence and defense for the long term to ensure the security and defense of all Allies. We will do so in line with our 360-degree approach, across the land, air, maritime, cyber, and space domains, and against all threats and challenges.Palantir has been very active in cyber and space domains. This will make it possible for the company to increase its market share in the geospatial intelligence market and help Palantir to recoup its investment as well.In addition to this, here’s another important statement that was made by NATO member states:We are establishing a Defense Innovation Accelerator and launching a multinational Innovation Fund to bring together governments, the private sector, and academia to bolster our technological edge.At this stage, Palantir is one of the most popular AI-based software solution providers to governmental agencies, as the U.S. Army, Navy, Space Command, CIA, and a handful of other departments are its clients. While in the past there was pessimism about the company’s governmental business due to the lack of new contracts at the beginning of this year, the sentiment in recent months has completely changed. NATO’s commitment to improving its technological capabilities to tackle the ongoing challenges is a positive long-term sign for Palantir as well.Just in June, Palantir won a $53.89 million contract modification from the U.S. Finally, another important highlight from the summit is the following statement:We will build on the progress made to ensure that increased national defense expenditures and NATO common funding will be commensurate with the challenges of a more contested security order. Add to this an increased spending of other NATO states and you’ll see that Palantir’s growth story is more alive than ever.Numbers Supplement Palantir's Growth StoryPalantir not only has a growth story going for it but it also has solid fundamentals and a decent upside. The upcoming Q2 earnings results will come out in August, and even though there were nine downward revisions due to the volatile macro environment, the consensus revenue growth rate for the quarter still stands at nearly 26% Y/Y. Considering that a recession is already around the corner, having a double-digit revenue growth rate is pretty impressive in the current environment.Another positive thing is that the company is already profitable on a non-GAAP basis and is also close to profitability on a GAAP basis. The D&A and capital expenditures in the model are at a rate similar to the previous years, while the change in NWC in the forecasted periods is positive since it’s also positive in the previous years as well.Palantir's DCF Model(Seeking Alpha, Street Forecasts, Author's Estimates)The WACC in the model stands at 8.5%, while the terminal growth rate stands at 3%. One of the main upsides of Palantir is that it has no long-term debt or short-term borrowings, which will make it easier for the company to navigate through the current volatile environment as it’s going to be relatively unaffected by higher interest rates.Another major upside is the fact that Palantir also has $2.52 billion in cash reserves to weather the upcoming financial storm. Thanks to a decent amount of liquidity and no debt, the equity value in the model stands at $22.75 billion which equals to a fair value of $11.17 per share, which represents an upside of nearly 20% from the current market price.Palantir's DCF Calculations(Author's Estimates)My DCF price target is also similar to the consensus street target of $11.26 per share:Palantir's Consensus Price Target(Seeking Alpha)It made sense for the model to show a similar fair value to the street consensus since the top-line expectations were in-line with the street estimates. However, it still shows a decent upside from the current market price and there are also several things worth discussing to understand why there’s even more room for growth for Palantir’s stock in the long run.First of all, the company itself aims to grow at an annual revenue rate of 30% or above through 2025, which is above the growth rate in my model. If in Q1’21 the stock-based compensation was $193 million, then in Q1’22 it was only $149 million, down 22.8% Y/Y.This trend of strong top-line growth and the stock-based compensation decrease is one of the main reasons why I continue to be so bullish on Palantir and plan to hold my long position for a long time. Once stock-based compensation decreases even more – my model that already shows a decent upside will become too conservative given the changes to EBIT that were discussed above. This will lead to an even greater fair value and will likely push the stock to higher levels in the future.RisksThe only main risk to Palantir’s bullish story is a prolonged recession. Since Palantir is a growth company that generated a net loss in recent years due to the excessive stock-based compensation policy – its stock has already suffered a major depreciation. If we’ll see a \"lost decade\" scenario where the economy will show little to no growth for years, then there’s a risk that Palantir’s commercial side of the business will take a hit. Therefore, it’s likely that while a prolonged recession will hurt Palantir, it will bring only a short-term negative effect, as it’s in the best interests of its clients to minimize the downsides caused by a volatile macro environment by implementing software solutions that improve the overall efficiency of their businesses. The Bottom LinePalantir’s Q2 results will come out next month and even though the street revised the earnings forecasts, the company has everything going for it to continue to show outstanding results and grow at a double-digit rate. The latest NATO summit in Madrid shows that Western governments are serious about tackling the global challenges by increasing their military spending and improving their technical capabilities. But fundamentally there's a lot of buyers in this market buying on the dip," said Rick Meckler, a partner of Cherry Lane Investments, a family investment office in New Vernon, New Jersey who attributed much of the afternoon strength to retail investors buying favorite stocks such as Tesla .

Paul Nolte, portfolio manager at Kingsview Investment Management in Chicago also attributed the late session comeback to dip-buyers looking at U.S. Treasury yields fall from their peaks of the day.

"Some of the tech names are off 5 to 10 percent or more, and people are looking at that and going that looks pretty good - time to snap them up," said Nolte.

"The other thing though to keep an eye on is what happens to interest rates because that has really been what's been dragging technology. We saw little bit of a reversal late in the day in (Treasury yields). They came down just a touch and that was a little bit of a green light for tech investors," he said.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 162.79 points, or 0.45%, to 36,068.87, the S&P 500 lost 6.74 points, or 0.14%, to 4,670.29 and the Nasdaq Composite added 6.93 points, or 0.05%, to 14,942.83.

After starting the day among the biggest laggards, the S&P technology index managed to eke out a tiny gain of 0.1%, behind the healthcare sector which closed up 1% and ahead of communications services which, rising 0.02%, was the session's only other gainer among the 11 major industry sectors.

The biggest decliners on the day were industrials which closed down 1.2% and materials which dropped 0.99%.

Traders have ramped up their rate hike expectations since the Fed's minutes from the December meeting appeared to signal an earlier-than-expected rate rise.

Goldman Sachs said it expects the Fed to raise rates four times in 2022, compared to its previous forecast of three.

Earlier the benchmark 10-year Treasury yield rose to its highest level in nearly two years on Monday.

After falling as much as 4.6% earlier in the session, Nasdaq heavyweight Tesla made a dramatic turnaround to close up 3%.

Meckler said retail investors appeared to flood back into the stock which had suffered after Chief Executive Elon Musk tweeted on Friday that the electric carmaker will raise the U.S. price of its advanced driver assistant software.

Nike shares closed down 4.2% after HSBC downgraded the stock to "hold."

Declining issues outnumbered advancing ones on the NYSE by a 2.04-to-1 ratio; on Nasdaq, a 1.97-to-1 ratio favored decliners.

The S&P 500 posted 38 new 52-week highs and 5 new lows; the Nasdaq Composite recorded 69 new highs and 609 new lows.

On U.S. exchanges 12.15 billion shares changed hands compared with the 10.55 billion average for the last 20 sessions.

","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; (NYSE:PLTR) is one of the few public companies that are destined to successfully deal with the ongoing geopolitical shocks that we are currently experiencing.

Therefore, it’s likely that while a prolonged recession will hurt Palantir, it will bring only a short-term negative effect, as it’s in the best interests of its clients to minimize the downsides caused by a volatile macro environment by implementing software solutions that improve the overall efficiency of their businesses.

The Bottom Line

Palantir’s Q2 results will come out next month and even though the street revised the earnings forecasts, the company has everything going for it to continue to show outstanding results and grow at a double-digit rate. The latest NATO summit in Madrid shows that Western governments are serious about tackling the global challenges by increasing their military spending and improving their technical capabilities. Finally, another important highlight from the summit is the following statement:We will build on the progress made to ensure that increased national defense expenditures and NATO common funding will be commensurate with the challenges of a more contested security order. As a result, it’s safe to say that Palantir will be able to benefit from the changing geopolitical landscape thanks to its unique AI-based defense software solutions. Add to this the fact that stock-based compensations decrease while the top-line continues to grow at an impressive rate and you have the company that’s worth investing in for the long haul.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":356,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9001756418,"gmtCreate":1641336868698,"gmtModify":1676533598664,"author":{"id":"3567840237718035","authorId":"3567840237718035","name":"gamer95","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/3e5b76d7e990068e683b1940b0c2e528","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3567840237718035","authorIdStr":"3567840237718035"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Test ","listText":"Test ","text":"Test","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9001756418","repostId":"2201728876","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2201728876","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Reuters.com brings you the latest news from around the world, covering breaking news in markets, business, politics, entertainment and technology","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Reuters","id":"1036604489","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/443ce19704621c837795676028cec868"},"pubTimestamp":1641335426,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2201728876?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-01-05 06:30","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Charlie Munger's Daily Journal nearly doubles stake in China's Alibaba","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2201728876","media":"Reuters","summary":"Jan 4 (Reuters) - Daily Journal Corp, the publishing and technology company in which Warren Buffett'","content":"

Jan 4 (Reuters) - Daily Journal Corp, the publishing and technology company in which Warren Buffett's longtime business partner Charlie Munger is chairman, said it has nearly doubled its stake in Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holding.

The U.S. company raised its holding by 99.3% to 602,060 sponsored American Depository Shares as of Dec. 31, Daily Journal said in a regulatory filing on Tuesday, making the stake worth about $72 million as of Jan. 4.

Munger, 98, has long been bullish on China.

Alibaba's U.S.-listed shares had in 2021 lost more than 48% of their value.

On Tuesday, the shares pared losses and closed down 0.7% at $119.56.

","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; But not all stocks performed that well. Let's look at the losers.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average had a pretty good year, rising about 18.75% in 2021. The recent run to record highs certainly helped its year-end tally.

While better than its long-term average, the index lagged the S&P 500 and Nasdaq, which climbed 27.1% and 22% this year, respectively.

The Dow did outperform the Russell 2000’s 13.9% return, though.

In 2021, the Dow’s worst-performing stocks were Disney, Verizon, Boeing, Merck and Honeywell, in that order.

I want to know if these stocks can make a recovery in 2022, so let’s look at the charts.

Trading Disney Stock

Daily chart of Disney stock.

Disney was the worst-performer in the index, down 14% in 2021.

The stock went through a pretty rough stretch in the fourth quarter, falling in 13 of 16 sessions. The three “up days” in that stretch were gains of 0.25%, 0.10% and 0.21%.

Essentially, pauses before the next breakdown.Earnings didn’t help matters either.

Now the company is looking to dominate the box office in 2022 and it’s got investor shoping the stock is a dominant force next year too.

Disney is off to a good start, all things considered.

It’s putting in a higher lowanda higher high. Now contending with the 10-week moving average and the prior gap-fill level near $157.50, bulls are looking for a continuation to the upside.

If they get it, bulls will no doubt be looking for a move to fill the gap from November near $174 and a tag of the 200-day moving average.

Trading Verizon Stock

Weekly chart of Verizon stock.

Next is Verizon, which is lower by 11.4% so far this year. If we include the dividend, the losses drop to just 7.5%.

The stock had a nice rip earlier this month, bursting back through $52 and the 10-week moving average. From here, bulls want to see these two levels hold as support.

Should they fail, it puts the $50 area back in play. For multiple weeks in a row, this level was strong support. If it fails, we could see a retest of the March 2020 low just below $49.

A dip to this $48.50 to $50 area that holds as supportcouldbe a dip-buying opportunity.

On the upside, let’s see if Verizon can push through the 21-week moving average and rally to the $54 level. Over $56 and who knows, perhaps Verizon can see the $60 to $62 zone again.

Trading Boeing Stock

Daily chart of Boeing stock.

Boeing enjoyed a huge rally in late-2020 to its high of $278.57 in March 2021. Since then though, it’s been trapped in a brutal downtrend.

The stock recently bottomed just below $188 with strong divergence on the RSI (blue arrow) before rebounding in the latter half of December.

The key in the short-term will be $212.68 — the December high.

If Boeing stock can go monthly-up over this level in January, it could result in a quick move back up to the 200-day moving average. Above that and the $230 resistance zone is on the table.

On a break of the low near $185, Boeing stockcouldface more downside. Specifically, there is a pretty big unfilled gap down near $158.50.

Trading Merck Stock

Daily chart of Merck stock.

Merck stock went through what many traders call a falling wedge (blue lines). Now breaking out and up from the formation, bulls are looking for more gains in 2022.

That’s particularly true as the stock was up 17% on the year less than two months ago. Now Merck stock isdown5.7% for 2021.

From the November high to the recent low, shares were down almost 22%.

A push over $77.50 puts the 50-day moving average in play, followed by the gap-fill near $82. But not all stocks performed that well. In 2021, the Dow’s worst-performing stocks were Disney, Verizon, Boeing, Merck and Honeywell, in that order.I want to know if these stocks can make a recovery in 2022, so let’s look at the charts.Trading Disney StockDaily chart of Disney stock.Disney was the worst-performer in the index, down 14% in 2021.The stock went through a pretty rough stretch in the fourth quarter, falling in 13 of 16 sessions. The three “up days” in that stretch were gains of 0.25%, 0.10% and 0.21%.Essentially, pauses before the next breakdown.Earnings didn’t help matters either. Now the company is looking to dominate the box office in 2022 and it’s got investor shoping the stock is a dominant force next year too.Disney is off to a good start, all things considered. It’s putting in a higher lowanda higher high. Now contending with the 10-week moving average and the prior gap-fill level near $157.50, bulls are looking for a continuation to the upside. If they get it, bulls will no doubt be looking for a move to fill the gap from November near $174 and a tag of the 200-day moving average.Trading Verizon StockWeekly chart of Verizon stock.Next is Verizon, which is lower by 11.4% so far this year. If we include the dividend, the losses drop to just 7.5%.The stock had a nice rip earlier this month, bursting back through $52 and the 10-week moving average. From here, bulls want to see these two levels hold as support.Should they fail, it puts the $50 area back in play. For multiple weeks in a row, this level was strong support. If it fails, we could see a retest of the March 2020 low just below $49.A dip to this $48.50 to $50 area that holds as supportcouldbe a dip-buying opportunity. On the upside, let’s see if Verizon can push through the 21-week moving average and rally to the $54 level. Over $56 and who knows, perhaps Verizon can see the $60 to $62 zone again.Trading Boeing StockDaily chart of Boeing stock.Boeing enjoyed a huge rally in late-2020 to its high of $278.57 in March 2021. Since then though, it’s been trapped in a brutal downtrend. The stock recently bottomed just below $188 with strong divergence on the RSI (blue arrow) before rebounding in the latter half of December. The key in the short-term will be $212.68 — the December high.If Boeing stock can go monthly-up over this level in January, it could result in a quick move back up to the 200-day moving average. Above that and the $230 resistance zone is on the table. On a break of the low near $185, Boeing stockcouldface more downside. Specifically, there is a pretty big unfilled gap down near $158.50.Trading Merck StockDaily chart of Merck stock.Merck stock went through what many traders call a falling wedge (blue lines). Now breaking out and up from the formation, bulls are looking for more gains in 2022.That’s particularly true as the stock was up 17% on the year less than two months ago. Now Merck stock isdown5.7% for 2021.From the November high to the recent low, shares were down almost 22%.A push over $77.50 puts the 50-day moving average in play, followed by the gap-fill near $82. On a move over $84.50, Merck stock could make another push up toward $90 and the gap-fill.It also pays a 3.6% dividend yield for investors that are interested.Trading Honeywell StockDaily chart of Honeywell stock.Last but not least we have Honeywell, which is down 2.6% on the year. With the dividend, the stock is down just 0.6%.Like Boeing, Honeywell stock barely cracked the December low last week, but rebounded hard when it did — and did so with strong divergence on the RSI (blue arrow). That said, Honeywell isn’t making a higher high yet.On a rally, let's see how it handles the $212 area. Not only is this a key level, but it’s also likely where the declining 50-day moving average will come into play.A push through this area likely puts the 200-day moving average on the table. Above the 200-day opens the door to the $235 resistance zone.If shares dip below the 10-day and 21-day moving average, it’s possible the stock retests the $200 area.A break of the low at $198.10 could put the low $190s and the 21-month moving average in play. Below that and there is a large unfilled gap down at $186.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":129,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":304100074061928,"gmtCreate":1715264738412,"gmtModify":1715266016658,"author":{"id":"3567840237718035","authorId":"3567840237718035","name":"gamer95","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/3e5b76d7e990068e683b1940b0c2e528","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3567840237718035","authorIdStr":"3567840237718035"},"themes":[],"title":"Guess the winner,Earn Tiger Coins","htmlText":"Find out more here:Guess the winner,Earn Tiger Coins Come and participate in the“ Guess the winner,Earn Tiger Coins” event, find the trade master and invite friends to get up to 250 tiger coins.","listText":"Find out more here:Guess the winner,Earn Tiger Coins Come and participate in the“ Guess the winner,Earn Tiger Coins” event, find the trade master and invite friends to get up to 250 tiger coins.","text":"Find out more here:Guess the winner,Earn Tiger Coins Come and participate in the“ Guess the winner,Earn Tiger Coins” event, find the trade master and invite friends to get up to 250 tiger coins.","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/f5b7f90833b0728cadecb5cb81220f1d"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":2,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/304100074061928","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":97,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":304035829813352,"gmtCreate":1715249053781,"gmtModify":1727683003276,"author":{"id":"3567840237718035","authorId":"3567840237718035","name":"gamer95","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/3e5b76d7e990068e683b1940b0c2e528","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3567840237718035","authorIdStr":"3567840237718035"},"themes":[],"title":"Cash Boost\nMake tomorrow’s trades today","htmlText":"Find out more here:Cash BoostMake tomorrow’s trades today Open a CBA Account!
