Similarly, Palantir takes its name from an indestructible, far-seeing crystal ball in The Lord of the Rings.
\n
While both have humorous origin stories, only one looks like a good long-term investment -- and it's not Dogecoin. Here's why.
\n
The mascot of Dogecoin. Image source: Getty Images.
\n
Dogecoin
\n
Dogecoin has captivated investors, and it's easy to understand why. Almost overnight, this meme currency became a millionaire-maker -- its value has rocketed 5,600% since January. Even so, there is nothing special about Dogecoin, and no logical reason for its soaring price.
\n
It isn't the most valuable cryptocurrency, like Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC); it doesn't offer instant transactions like Oxen does;, and it doesn't support smart contracts and decentralized financial (DeFi) services, like Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH) does. Moreover, even if all those problems vanished, the meme currency would still have a scalability problem.
\n
The Dogecoin blockchain currently handles 0.31 transactions per second (TPS). Similarly, Palantir takes its name from an indestructible, far-seeing crystal ball in The Lord of the Rings.\nWhile both have humorous origin stories, only one looks like a good long-term investment -- and it's not Dogecoin. Here's why.\nThe mascot of Dogecoin. Image source: Getty Images.\nDogecoin\nDogecoin has captivated investors, and it's easy to understand why. Almost overnight, this meme currency became a millionaire-maker -- its value has rocketed 5,600% since January. Even so, there is nothing special about Dogecoin, and no logical reason for its soaring price.\nIt isn't the most valuable cryptocurrency, like Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC); it doesn't offer instant transactions like Oxen does;, and it doesn't support smart contracts and decentralized financial (DeFi) services, like Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH) does. Moreover, even if all those problems vanished, the meme currency would still have a scalability problem.\nThe Dogecoin blockchain currently handles 0.31 transactions per second (TPS). By comparison, Visa's network can support up to 65,000 TPS, and cryptocurrencies like Cardano can theoretically handle up to 1 million TPS.\nPut simply, the only remarkable thing about Dogecoin is the level of support it's garnered on social platforms like Reddit and Twitter. But popularity alone is not a good reason to invest. So if you're looking to buy a lottery ticket, Dogecoin is a good choice. But if you're trying to build wealth over the long term, I would look elsewhere.\nPalantir\nPalantir specializes in big data analytics. At one point, DASH traded over 100% higher than its IPO price of $102 per share, and heading into its earnings report it still traded more than 60% higher. This past quarter showed phenomenal top-line growth and the company guided for 2021 to see further growth in spite of tough comparables. In spite of the insane growth it showed in 2020, DASH was not profitable on either a GAAP or non-GAAP basis.
\n
That should spook investors as other tech names that benefited from the pandemic saw huge boosts to profitability. DASH might eventually be able to report profits as it gains scale, but the lack of profitability in 2020 suggests that operating leverage may prove difficult to come by. I am bearish on the stock at current valuations.
\n
Blockbuster Top Line Growth, No Profits
\n
DASH saw its network report strong growth of 87% year over year for marketplace partner stores and 158% year over year for drive partner stores. Marketplace partners stores are those that show up in theDoorDashapp and Drive Partner stores are those which use their own website but rely onDoorDashto fulfill delivery:
\n
(2020 Q4 Shareholder Letter)
\n
DASH reported blistering 226% revenue growth in the quarter and 226% revenue growth for the full year:
\n
(2020 Q4 Shareholder Letter)
\n
Forgive me for stating, but as the reader probably knows, DASH’s line of business is in food delivery. The pandemic created a perfect environment for this business segment, as social distancing restrictions essentially made food delivery the “only option” for many restaurants. In spite of this perfect environment, DASH was nonetheless unable to show GAAP profitability:
\n
(2020 Q4 Shareholder Letter)
\n
Even if we add back stock-based compensation, DASH was barely able to generate $10 million in adjusted net income for the fourth quarter and lost $139 million in adjusted net income for the year. Consider that Zoom (ZM), another pandemic beneficiary, generated 25.5% GAAP net margins in the third quarter. Shopify (SHOP) generated 12.7% GAAP net margins in its latest quarter. Why is DASH unable to generate profits during what might prove to be a peak year?
\n
DASH discloses a metric called “contribution profit” which, as we can see below, is only 23.7% of revenues:
\n
(2020 Q4 Shareholder Letter)
\n
DASH defines Contribution Profit in itsS-1as follows:
\n
\n “We define Contribution Profit (Loss) as our gross profit (loss) less sales and marketing expense plus (i) depreciation and amortization expense related to cost of revenue, (II) stock-based compensation expense included in cost of revenue and sales and marketing expenses, and (III) allocated overhead included in cost of revenue and sales and marketing expenses. Gross profit (loss) is defined as revenue less (i) cost of revenue, exclusive of depreciation and amortization and (II) depreciation and amortization related to cost of revenue.”\n
\n
It is the following statement (also from the S-1) that leads me to believe that contribution profit is a better proxy for gross profit as typically used by other companies:
\n
\n “We believe that Contribution Profit (Loss) is a useful indicator of the economic impact of orders fulfilled through DoorDash as it takes into account the direct expenses associated with generating and fulfilling orders.”\n
\n
What does this all mean? The traditional meaning of gross profit is meant to represent the incremental profit from each dollar sold by the business. DASH’s contribution profit can be considered to be its true gross profit because it takes into account, among other things, the sales and marketing expenses associated with each sale. The typical tech company that I cover has gross profit margin upwards of 65%. There, the high gross margin suggests that operating leverage may eventually pave the way for strong profits in the future, even if the companies are not currently profitable. DASH’s contribution profit margin is a mere 23.7%, suggesting that the path to profitability will bemuchharder than tech peers.
\n
DASH guided for this upcoming year to see Marketplace GOV of $30 billion to $33 billion, up 28% from $24.7 billion in 2020. I estimate this to equate to roughly $3.7 billion in revenue. At recent prices, DASH trades at 17 times forward revenues, which is rich but at first not obviously bubbly in light of the 28% growth rate. However, price to sales is meaningless for DASH because of its low gross margins. I estimate that DASH will earn $877 million in contribution profit in 2021.
\n
DASH trades at 73 times that number, which makes no sense in comparison to the 23.7% growth rate. At one point, DASH traded over 100% higher than its IPO price of $102 per share, and heading into its earnings report it still traded more than 60% higher. This past quarter showed phenomenal top-line growth and the company guided for 2021 to see further growth in spite of tough comparables. In spite of the insane growth it showed in 2020, DASH was not profitable on either a GAAP or non-GAAP basis.\nThat should spook investors as other tech names that benefited from the pandemic saw huge boosts to profitability. DASH might eventually be able to report profits as it gains scale, but the lack of profitability in 2020 suggests that operating leverage may prove difficult to come by. I am bearish on the stock at current valuations.\nBlockbuster Top Line Growth, No Profits\nDASH saw its network report strong growth of 87% year over year for marketplace partner stores and 158% year over year for drive partner stores. Marketplace partners stores are those that show up in theDoorDashapp and Drive Partner stores are those which use their own website but rely onDoorDashto fulfill delivery:\n(2020 Q4 Shareholder Letter)\nDASH reported blistering 226% revenue growth in the quarter and 226% revenue growth for the full year:\n(2020 Q4 Shareholder Letter)\nForgive me for stating, but as the reader probably knows, DASH’s line of business is in food delivery. The pandemic created a perfect environment for this business segment, as social distancing restrictions essentially made food delivery the “only option” for many restaurants. In spite of this perfect environment, DASH was nonetheless unable to show GAAP profitability:\n(2020 Q4 Shareholder Letter)\nEven if we add back stock-based compensation, DASH was barely able to generate $10 million in adjusted net income for the fourth quarter and lost $139 million in adjusted net income for the year. Consider that Zoom (ZM), another pandemic beneficiary, generated 25.5% GAAP net margins in the third quarter. Shopify (SHOP) generated 12.7% GAAP net margins in its latest quarter. Why is DASH unable to generate profits during what might prove to be a peak year?\nDASH discloses a metric called “contribution profit” which, as we can see below, is only 23.7% of revenues:\n(2020 Q4 Shareholder Letter)\nDASH defines Contribution Profit in itsS-1as follows:\n\n “We define Contribution Profit (Loss) as our gross profit (loss) less sales and marketing expense plus (i) depreciation and amortization expense related to cost of revenue, (II) stock-based compensation expense included in cost of revenue and sales and marketing expenses, and (III) allocated overhead included in cost of revenue and sales and marketing expenses. Gross profit (loss) is defined as revenue less (i) cost of revenue, exclusive of depreciation and amortization and (II) depreciation and amortization related to cost of revenue.”\n\nIt is the following statement (also from the S-1) that leads me to believe that contribution profit is a better proxy for gross profit as typically used by other companies:\n\n “We believe that Contribution Profit (Loss) is a useful indicator of the economic impact of orders fulfilled through DoorDash as it takes into account the direct expenses associated with generating and fulfilling orders.”\n\nWhat does this all mean? The traditional meaning of gross profit is meant to represent the incremental profit from each dollar sold by the business. DASH’s contribution profit can be considered to be its true gross profit because it takes into account, among other things, the sales and marketing expenses associated with each sale. The typical tech company that I cover has gross profit margin upwards of 65%. There, the high gross margin suggests that operating leverage may eventually pave the way for strong profits in the future, even if the companies are not currently profitable. DASH’s contribution profit margin is a mere 23.7%, suggesting that the path to profitability will bemuchharder than tech peers.\nDASH guided for this upcoming year to see Marketplace GOV of $30 billion to $33 billion, up 28% from $24.7 billion in 2020. I estimate this to equate to roughly $3.7 billion in revenue. At recent prices, DASH trades at 17 times forward revenues, which is rich but at first not obviously bubbly in light of the 28% growth rate. However, price to sales is meaningless for DASH because of its low gross margins. I estimate that DASH will earn $877 million in contribution profit in 2021.\nDASH trades at 73 times that number, which makes no sense in comparison to the 23.7% growth rate. It is very rare to see tech companies (with high gross margins) trading at a price to sales multiple even equivalent to their growth rate. I consider such multiples to be bubbly. Yet DASH would trade at $54 per share if it traded at 23.7 times forward contribution profits. Shares have 70% downside to that price.\nConclusion\n2020 was a year in which many tech stocks proved the naysayers wrong. Wall Street appears to have become comfortable purchasing stocks of unprofitable tech companies because operating leverage may lead to high profits in the future. Not all tech companies are created equal - DASH’s low effective gross margins suggest that on a comparable basis, its valuation is much more expensive than it looks.\nEven if all the projected contribution profit growth flows directly to the bottom line, then DASH would still earn only $75 million in adjusted net income (that’s after excluding stock-based compensation). Shares trade at 746 times that number. While I am in general comfortable with paying a fair multiple for high quality tech companies, DASH appears to be the poster child of the tech bubble.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":36,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":166085041,"gmtCreate":1623985534783,"gmtModify":1703825676191,"author":{"id":"3568160061060139","authorId":"3568160061060139","name":"Evelynnnpeng","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/4e8dea17bf4e7b414559b221a40bccdd","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3568160061060139","idStr":"3568160061060139"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nice","listText":"Nice","text":"Nice","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/166085041","repostId":"2144742421","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2144742421","pubTimestamp":1623984606,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2144742421?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-06-18 10:50","market":"us","language":"en","title":"1 Robinhood Stock That Could Crush Dogecoin","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2144742421","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"The future looks bright for this tech company.","content":"
Aside from their popularity on Robinhood, Dogecoin (CRYPTO:DOGE) and Palantir Technologies (NYSE:PLTR) have one more thing in common: Both received their names in rather amusing ways.
\n
Jackson Palmer came up with Dogecoin while switching between two browser tabs: one an article about the Doge meme, the other a popular cryptocurrency site. Regardless, I think Palantir will be worth twice what it is today by 2025, but I can't say the same for Dogecoin.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":846,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":169222114,"gmtCreate":1623838968638,"gmtModify":1703820986391,"author":{"id":"3568160061060139","authorId":"3568160061060139","name":"Evelynnnpeng","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/4e8dea17bf4e7b414559b221a40bccdd","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3568160061060139","idStr":"3568160061060139"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Lol what","listText":"Lol what","text":"Lol what","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/169222114","repostId":"2143760952","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":636,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":135221589,"gmtCreate":1622165884041,"gmtModify":1704180686153,"author":{"id":"3568160061060139","authorId":"3568160061060139","name":"Evelynnnpeng","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/4e8dea17bf4e7b414559b221a40bccdd","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3568160061060139","idStr":"3568160061060139"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"So many fintech","listText":"So many fintech","text":"So many fintech","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/135221589","repostId":"1188024086","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":521,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":376828170,"gmtCreate":1619103647490,"gmtModify":1704719756274,"author":{"id":"3568160061060139","authorId":"3568160061060139","name":"Evelynnnpeng","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/4e8dea17bf4e7b414559b221a40bccdd","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3568160061060139","idStr":"3568160061060139"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Pointerra(3DP.AU)$Its back! Online investing app Robinhood, which is known for its commission-free trading platform and gifting of free shares of stock to new users, attracted 3 million new members last year. That's noteworthy given the average age of Robinhood's user base is only 31.

On one hand, it's great to see young investors who have time as their ally putting money to work in the world's greatest wealth creator. On the other hand, quite a few of these young investors aren't thinking long term. Rather, they're caught up in the recent retail investor-fueled Reddit frenzy and looking to get rich quick.

The problem with the get-rich-quick strategy is that it rarely works -- and Wall Street knows it.

At the moment, there are four widely held stocks on Robinhood that, according to Wall Street's one-year consensus price targets, are expected to lose at least half their value, if not more. If these analyst estimates prove accurate, these dangerous Robinhood stocks could cost unsuspecting retail investors a boatload of money.

GameStop: Implied downside of 93%

Perhaps it's no surprise that the riskiest Robinhood stock of all is the company that started the Reddit frenzy, GameStop (NYSE:GME). Shares of the video game and accessories company are up nearly 4,700% over the past year, but offer 93% downside, if Wall Street's consensus is correct.

What made GameStop such a popular company to own among retail investors was its high short interest. Entering January, no public company had a higher percentage of shares held short, relative to its float. Because of this short interest, a flood of buyers were able to execute an epic short squeeze.

Unfortunately, most of the Reddit rally stocks have poor underlying fundamentals and/or a dubious long-term outlook. When it comes to GameStop, its biggest issue was waiting too long to focus on digital gaming. Even with its renewed focus on e-commerce, total sales for the company declined, once again, during the most recent holiday season. Further, GameStop is almost certainly staring down its fourth consecutive annual loss in 2021.

If there is some good news here, it's that GameStop isn't a lost cause. Eventually, it'll close enough stores to reduce its expenses to the point where it's profitable again. But there's a big difference between growth with a profit and backpedaling into a profit. GameStop is doing the latter, which is what has Wall Street rightly concerned.

AMC Entertainment: Implied downside of 75%

Movie theater chain AMC Entertainment (NYSE:AMC), which has risen in lockstep with GameStop for much of the past two months, is also on Wall Street's naughty list. Putting aside the $0.01 price target recently issued by one analyst, the Wall Street consensus is that AMC will lose three-quarters of its value over the next year.

AMC's outperformance over the past two months has to do with Reddit traders piling into the company, as well as folks betting on the reopening trade. AMC recently announced that 99% of its theaters would be open by March 26.

However, this optimism looks highly flawed. Many of the company's theaters are still facing capacity restrictions, and there are no guarantees that the coronavirus pandemic will officially end in 2021. New variants of the disease, along with vaccine holdouts, threaten to push herd immunity and a return to normal further down the road.

The company's solvency is also a potential concern. Even with more than $1 billion in cash on hand, Wall Street is expecting AMC to lose more than $1.7 billion, total, over the next two years. This implies the need to issue more dilutive stock or more debt.

As the icing on the cake, AMC is also losing some of its new release exclusivity to streaming service providers. At long last, the movie theater industry is being disrupted -- but that's not a good thing for AMC.

Riot Blockchain: Implied downside of 54%

Wall Street also views cryptocurrency mining stock Riot Blockchain (NASDAQ:RIOT) as a dangerous investment. The 76th most-held stock on Robinhood is projected to lose 54% of its value over the next year, according to analysts on Wall Street.

Riot Blockchain's incredible outperformance in recent months can be tied to the rally in Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC), the world's largest digital currency. As a cryptocurrency miner, Riot uses high-powered computers to validate groups of transactions (known as blocks) on Bitcoin's network. For validating blocks, Riot is given a block reward totaling 6.25 Bitcoin (worth about $365,000). In short, the higher Bitcoin goes, the more these block rewards are worth.

While this sounds like a pretty straightforward investment, it's not that simple. For example, the asset Riot is \"mining\" has had three separate instances over the past decade where it's lost at least 80% of its value. It's not clear if mining companies could survive such a protracted downtrend in Bitcoin.

It's equally concerning that Riot Blockchain's future is entirely tethered to the performance of Bitcoin. This is an operating model that's pretty much devoid of innovation and is constantly facing a growing number of competitors. Add on the halving of Bitcoin's block rewards every couple of years, and I believe there's more than enough incentive to stay far away from Riot Blockchain.

Sundial Growers: Implied downside of 54%

Finally, Wall Street views the fourth most-held Robinhood stock, Sundial Growers (NASDAQ:SNDL), as trouble. Shares of Canadian marijuana stock Sundial are higher by more than 900% since late October.

Similar to GameStop and AMC, Sundial and its high short interest have benefited from the Reddit frenzy. Investors also appear to be betting on the U.S. legalizing cannabis at the federal level. Doing so would allow Canadian marijuana stocks like Sundial to enter the far more lucrative U.S. weed market.

But if there's something tenured investors are very familiar with, it's the idea that all next-big-thing investments have losers. Even though marijuana is expected to be one of the fastest-growing industries this decade, Sundial hasn't demonstrated anything from an operational perspective to suggest that it'd be a winner.

One thing Sundial has done successfully is drown its existing investors in a sea of new shares. In a roughly five-month span, the company issued more than 1.15 billion shares via at-the-market offerings, registered direct offerings, and debt-to-equity swaps. Retail investors are quick to point to Sundial's mountain of new cash raised as a positive, but fail to see how the company's massive share count will cripple its potential for a long time to come.

With it looking less likely that the U.S. federal government will change its tune on cannabis at the federal level, and Sundial delivering ongoing losses and mediocre sales growth, it qualifies as the No. 1 pot stock worth avoiding.
","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
4 Dangerous Robinhood Stocks That Could Lose 50% or More, According to Wall Street
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n4 Dangerous Robinhood Stocks That Could Lose 50% or More, According to Wall Street\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-03-24 22:57 GMT+8 Motley Fool\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
It's possible that when the curtain closes on 2021, it'll be remembered as the year of the retail investor.Since March 2020, we've seen a big uptick in the number of millennials who've put their money...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{"GME":"游戏驿站","SNDL":"SNDL Inc.","RIOT":"Riot Platforms","AMC":"AMC院线"},"source_url":"https://www.fool.com/investing/2021/03/24/4-dangerous-robinhood-stocks-lose-50-wall-street/","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/e9f99090a1c2ed51c021029395664489","article_id":"2121457670","content_text":"It's possible that when the curtain closes on 2021, it'll be remembered as the year of the retail investor.Since March 2020, we've seen a big uptick in the number of millennials who've put their money to work in the stock market. For example, the asset Riot is \"mining\" has had three separate instances over the past decade where it's lost at least 80% of its value. It's not clear if mining companies could survive such a protracted downtrend in Bitcoin.It's equally concerning that Riot Blockchain's future is entirely tethered to the performance of Bitcoin. This is an operating model that's pretty much devoid of innovation and is constantly facing a growing number of competitors. Add on the halving of Bitcoin's block rewards every couple of years, and I believe there's more than enough incentive to stay far away from Riot Blockchain.Image source: Getty Images.Sundial Growers: Implied downside of 54%Finally, Wall Street views the fourth most-held Robinhood stock, Sundial Growers (NASDAQ:SNDL), as trouble. Shares of Canadian marijuana stock Sundial are higher by more than 900% since late October.Similar to GameStop and AMC, Sundial and its high short interest have benefited from the Reddit frenzy. Investors also appear to be betting on the U.S. legalizing cannabis at the federal level. Doing so would allow Canadian marijuana stocks like Sundial to enter the far more lucrative U.S. weed market.But if there's something tenured investors are very familiar with, it's the idea that all next-big-thing investments have losers. Even though marijuana is expected to be one of the fastest-growing industries this decade, Sundial hasn't demonstrated anything from an operational perspective to suggest that it'd be a winner.One thing Sundial has done successfully is drown its existing investors in a sea of new shares. In a roughly five-month span, the company issued more than 1.15 billion shares via at-the-market offerings, registered direct offerings, and debt-to-equity swaps. Retail investors are quick to point to Sundial's mountain of new cash raised as a positive, but fail to see how the company's massive share count will cripple its potential for a long time to come.With it looking less likely that the U.S. federal government will change its tune on cannabis at the federal level, and Sundial delivering ongoing losses and mediocre sales growth, it qualifies as the No. 1 pot stock worth avoiding.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":49,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":181604854,"gmtCreate":1623387921978,"gmtModify":1704202296866,"author":{"id":"3568160061060139","authorId":"3568160061060139","name":"Evelynnnpeng","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/4e8dea17bf4e7b414559b221a40bccdd","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3568160061060139","idStr":"3568160061060139"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Will it break further hmmm","listText":"Will it break further hmmm","text":"Will it break further hmmm","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/163d45cc6b89fc5902a6382070894f3b","width":"1125","height":"3439"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/181604854","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":459,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":320392581,"gmtCreate":1615010264543,"gmtModify":1704778181019,"author":{"id":"3568160061060139","authorId":"3568160061060139","name":"Evelynnnpeng","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/4e8dea17bf4e7b414559b221a40bccdd","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3568160061060139","idStr":"3568160061060139"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Looking to buy","listText":"Looking to buy","text":"Looking to buy","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/320392581","repostId":"1116031861","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"1116031861","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"为用户提供金融资讯、行情、数据,旨在帮助投资者理解世界,做投资决策。","home_visible":1,"media_name":"老虎资讯综合","id":"102","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1614955424,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1116031861?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-03-05 22:43","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Senseonics plunged more than 9%","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1116031861","media":"老虎资讯综合","summary":"(March 5) Senseonics plunged more than 9%. Robinhood’s reaction drew the most public attention, but the firm wasn’t alone in limiting trading of stocks such as GameStop and AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc.In fact,Charles Schwab Corp.’s TD Ameritrade curbed transactions in both of those companies on Wednesday.Interactive Brokers Group Inc.andMorgan Stanley’s E*Trade took similar action Thursday.Thomas Peterffy, the billionaire chairman of Greenwich, Connecticut-based Interactive Brokers, told Bloomberg TV the restrictions were prompted by concerns “about the integrity of the marketplace and the system.”E*Trade stressed that its measures were a highly unusual. “We take actions like this seriously, and only initiate them in rare circumstances,” said spokesman Thayer Fox, adding that he expected normal trading to resume Friday.Robinhood said after markets closed that it plans to allow “limited buys” to resume in affected securities. It also tried to assuage customer concerns with an email that evening: “This was a temporary decision made to best continue serving you, and was not an easy one to make.”Credit LinesThe firm has tapped at least several hundred million dollars from its bank credit lines, a person with knowledge of the situation said. The company’s lenders includeJPMorgan Chase & Co.andGoldman Sachs Group Inc., according todatacompiled by Bloomberg. Representatives for Robinhood and those banks declined to comment.Robinhood’s capital remains “strong,” CEO Tenev told Bloomberg TV, underscoring that the restrictions helped protect both the brokerage and its clients.One question is whether frustrated customers will forgive what some see as a betrayal in their campaign against Wall Street’s financial elite.Douglas Bray, a software developer from Connecticut who’s been using Robinhood for about five years, said he plans to withdraw about $100,000 after the trading restrictions.“I’m disappointed I could not keep my money in GME like any institutional investor could,” said Bray, 32, referring to GameStop’s ticker. “Hedge funds are on the brink of a massive short squeeze and appear to be calling in all the cavalry. So brokers are now ‘protecting’ customers as a facade so that they can appease their institutional backers. The entire community is outraged.”","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":112188541,"gmtCreate":1622855826783,"gmtModify":1704192457517,"author":{"id":"3568160061060139","authorId":"3568160061060139","name":"Evelynnnpeng","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/4e8dea17bf4e7b414559b221a40bccdd","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3568160061060139","idStr":"3568160061060139"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Surprised","listText":"Surprised","text":"Surprised","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/70987b481e25c6653501f7f73be18f43","width":"1125","height":"3352"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/112188541","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":543,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":135220153,"gmtCreate":1622165813872,"gmtModify":1704180681278,"author":{"id":"3568160061060139","authorId":"3568160061060139","name":"Evelynnnpeng","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/4e8dea17bf4e7b414559b221a40bccdd","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3568160061060139","idStr":"3568160061060139"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"It’s coming back","listText":"It’s coming back","text":"It’s coming back","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/3ccd8cc16eb05885c2ed3c13c8f27a63","width":"1125","height":"3439"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/135220153","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":350,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":131558310,"gmtCreate":1621869008730,"gmtModify":1704363639575,"author":{"id":"3568160061060139","authorId":"3568160061060139","name":"Evelynnnpeng","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/4e8dea17bf4e7b414559b221a40bccdd","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3568160061060139","idStr":"3568160061060139"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"10% increase in a day?","listText":"10% increase in a day?","text":"10% increase in a day?","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/99a4b10f83e41bd42aa5ebb78c985106","width":"1125","height":"3338"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/131558310","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":156,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"lives":[]}
