Be greedy when others are fearful. I believe she bought the dip seeing this as a good opportunity. 

I'm doing small DCA on good stocks coz u never know when is the lowest and when the bull is coming back. DCA in good stocks ensure I don't missed out buying the dip, and the prices will eventually recover and rise again! 

There are always ups and downs in any investment. Key point is to have good returns overall. And this usually requires long runway. IMHO, Warren Buffet is one who takes a long term view and this helps him to achieve a good returns.
