This figure is expected to increase to 22% of global retail sales by 2024, demonstrating that -- slowly but surely -- e-commerce is becoming a primary way consumers order goods in the modern era.E-commerce is widely adopted in the U.S. for the most part, but the true growth in e-commerce comes from international regions. Many parts of the world barely rely on e-commerce for their retail needs, but as these regions begin to rapidly adopt online retail, these three companies could reap major benefits.Sea Limited Sea Limited is looking to become a global e-commerce company. Its e-commerce business -- Shopee -- got its start in Singapore in 2015, but it has since expanded across the world. Shopee is now a dominant e-commerce player across all of Southeast Asia and Latin America, and even has ties in India and Europe. With such a broad reach, Shopee became the most downloaded shopping app in the world in 2021.This dominance has unsurprisingly led to amazing growth for the company. Revenue for its e-commerce segment reached $1.5 billion in the third quarter of 2021, which grew a whopping 134% year over year. Total revenue also grew 122% year over year, helped by its two other strong businesses that are growing at triple-digit rates. Many companies growing revenue at triple-digit rates are micro-cap companies, but Sea Limited is a large and established business -- its market cap is $103 billion -- making its growth that much more impressive. Not only is Sea Limited a leading e-commerce company, it also has one of the world's most popular video games and a resilient fintech business. The company continuously puts up strong top-line growth in all parts of its business, yet it is valued at just 12 times sales -- the lowest valuation that Sea has seen in over a year. Despite the stock falling drastically over the past few months, Sea Limited is succeeding on all fronts of its business, making it one of my best ideas to buy today and hold for decades.Pinterest Pinterest stock has also been crushed like Sea Limited. From its all-time high set in early 2021, the company's shares have fallen over 60%. This has led to Pinterest potentially becoming a value play: Pinterest's forward price-to-earnings ratio is 24. This valuation is almost equal to Meta Platforms' valuation of 23 times forward earnings, despite Pinterest having magnitudes more growth potential. For Pinterest, the growth story is in its average revenue per user (ARPU). The company's platform has strong adoption both in the U.S. and internationally, but Pinterest is just getting started with developing itself as an e-commerce platform. It has struggled with monetization in the past, but it has recently taken steps to make it easy for consumers to buy items they see on the platform. The company has made it easier for sellers to tag items in pictures, so when Pinterest users see a product they like, it only takes them a few clicks to purchase. The opportunity for Pinterest to grow its ARPU is massive. In Q3, Pinterest's global ARPU was just $1.41 which pales in comparison to Meta's global ARPU of $10. Considering that both companies currently sell at roughly the same price, Pinterest's opportunity to grow in the online e-commerce market is immense, and I think this social media stock has more promise than any of its peers.Coupang Coupang might be the most undervalued international e-commerce stock today. It is valued at less than 2 times sales, lower than Sea Limited, Alibaba, and even Amazon. Despite this rock-bottom price, the Korean-based e-commerce giant is seeing impressive strength. The company has 16.8 million active customers, which make up almost one-third of the Korean population. Despite this strong leadership in the country, its active customers still increased 20% year over year in Q3, marking the 15th consecutive quarter Coupang has grown its active customer count by this much. What makes Coupang truly special and unreplicable is its strong footprint in Korea. About 70% of Korean citizens live within just seven miles of a logistics center, making it possible for Coupang to offer same-day, next-day, or dawn delivery for almost all orders on its platform. This major infrastructure investment Coupang has made over several years would be incredibly hard and expensive to replicate by any competitor, and it has allowed Coupang to develop an extremely strong brand name and customer satisfaction. The company is looking to expand into Japan, but that could take a long time to materialize. After all, the company would have to reinvest in infrastructure as it did in Korea all over again. However, if it can build up its impressive logistics infrastructure again, the company could see the same success it has had in South Korea. These two regions alone would allow Coupang to grow steadily for the next five years, and it is even eyeing other countries like Singapore and Taiwan. Chips are integral for our way of life and for our economy, and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (TSM), as one of the largest manufacturers in the space, is poised to benefit from long-term growth trends. Investors should, apart from the growth prospects, also consider TSM's valuation and the risks for the business. Overall, TSM still seems like a company that could deliver attractive returns in the long run.
\n
Taiwan Semiconductor As A Play On Global Semiconductor Demand Growth
\n
Over the last couple of decades, the global semiconductor industry has experienced rapid growth, as chips have become integral for almost everything we do, from work to our personal communication, and even for the way we spend our free time. These trends -- digitalization & technification -- are still in play, and it seems highly unlikely that we will be using fewer technical gadgets and products in a decade or two. In fact, it seems, to me, pretty much certain that our chip usage will grow even more, due to megatrends such as the internet of things, smart products, self-driving cars, wearable tech, and so on. Even trends such as working from home will lead to fewer meetings that will be conducted in-person, which will, in turn, lead to higher demand for at-home technical equipment and processing power in server farms that handle video conferences. New and emerging technologies, such as the Metaverse as the next-generation internet, will require more processing power compared to current technologies as well, which will, in turn, lead to higher chip demand. Overall, the growth outlook for the semiconductor industry is thus strong and will remain strong for a long time, I believe. This does not necessarily mean that every company in this space will grow forever, but it is, of course, better to be active in a high-growth industry rather than a low-growth industry, all else equal.
\n
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, as the leading contract manufacturer in the world, will benefit from higher demand for contract manufacturing. This, in turn, will be driven by the increasing demand from fabless companies such as NVIDIA (NVDA), AMD (AMD), Apple (AAPL), and many more that are paying TSM to manufacture their semiconductors.
\n
Taiwan Semiconductor's business model has the upside of allowing the company to benefit from growing chip demand overall, no matter which individual customer experiences the highest demand growth. On the other hand, there are also downsides to TSM's business model, mainly the fact that the buildout of new plants requires huge capital expenditures:
\n
Data by YCharts
\n
TSM did generate operating cash flows of $29 billion over the last year, which results in a free cash flow of $9 billion once capital expenditures of $20 billion are subtracted. Net income, over the same time, was $18 billion, which means that TSM's free cash flow conversion rate was rather low, at just 50%. Other semiconductor companies, especially those that operate on a fabless basis, do generate significantly higher FCF relative to their net profits. One should, however, note that not all of TSM's capital expenditures are spent on maintenance projects, and growth spending will lead to higher cash flows at some point in the future. Still, TSM's business model means that its FCF is relatively weak relative to net profits, which limits the company's ability to grow via M&A or to return cash to the company's owners.
\n
Is TSM Stock Overvalued?
\n
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company has seen its shares rise by 45% over the last year, which may lead to questions about its current valuation. It should, however, be noted that this is not that much more than the returns by the broad market over the same time frame, as the S&P 500 index (SPY) is up 35% over the last twelve months. TSM's stock trades significantly below the all-time high that was hit in early 2021 at $142, shares have declined by close to 20% over the last couple of months. Based on current earnings per share estimates for this fiscal year, TSM trades at 27x net profits, which is neither an overly high valuation nor an especially low valuation in absolute terms. On a relative basis, TSM looks significantly more expensive than it used to be:
\n
Data by YCharts
\n
In the above chart, we see that TSM was historically valued at 17x-23x its net profits, on average. At current prices, TSM trades about 20% above the 3-year median earnings multiple, and at a quite large 60% premium compared to the 10-year median. One can, of course, note that multiple expansion relative to the 10-year median is justified -- interest rates are ultra-low today, TSM's scale has improved and its moat has grown, and shares were arguably too cheap over much of the last decade. I would thus not call TSM overly expensive today, but it is still noteworthy that the company trades at a pretty clear premium compared to how shares were valued in the past.
\n
When we compare TSM's valuation to its growth rate, TSM does not look overly expensive, either. The company grew its earnings per share by 11% in the most recent quarter, and revenue growth has been in the double-digits, and as high as 45% in eight out of the last eight quarters. Strong growth will persist through the coming quarters and years from what we know today:
\n
Source: TSM presentation
\n
Based on management's current guidance, TSM will grow its revenue by 20% in Q3, compared to the previous year's quarter. On top of that, TSM's top line will hit a new record high, as revenues have never breached $14 billion before. Margins will, from what we know, not improve versus recent quarters, but top-line growth alone, at constant margins, will allow for an attractive increase in net profits.
\n
Due to the aforementioned tailwinds for the semiconductor industry as a whole, and thanks to a strong position for TSM when it comes to manufacturing processes such as 5nm and 7nm, which make up 50% of TSM's revenue, it is not a big surprise to see that analysts are forecasting attractive growth well beyond 2021. Current consensus estimates see TSM earning $5.53 per share in 2023, which gets us to a 2023 earnings multiple of 21, which I do not deem expensive for a major player in a growth industry such as TSM.
\n
Will TSM Stock Go Up?
\n
In the near term, price movements are mostly driven by sentiment, and not really influenced by underlying results to a large degree. It thus seems pretty daring to try to estimate where prices will be a month or 3 months from now. The current consensus price target by the analyst community is $137, which indicates an upside of around 20% over the next year. The consensus rating by Wall Street analysts is also bullish, and the same holds true for the Seeking Alpha Quant rating, which stands at3.8, which is moderately bullish. With an RSI (relative strength index) of 48, Taiwan Semiconductor is neither overbought nor oversold. Over the next year, its share price could thus climb if the analyst community is correct, but this is far from certain, and the above-average valuation may pressure returns in the foreseeable future. It is, however, more important to try to evaluate where shares will be a couple of years from now, and the outlook is pretty solid for TSM in that regard.
\n
Is TSM Stock A Good Long-Term Investment?
\n
Due to the aforementioned industry characteristics and TSM's sizeable moat when it comes to contract manufacturing, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company has an attractive long-term growth outlook, I believe. Analysts are forecasting $5.53 in earnings per share for 2023, and growth beyond that point should remain meaningful as well -- analysts are expecting 16% growth annually in the long run.
\n
Source: FAST Graphs
\n
As we see in the above chart, annual returns could come in around 11% a year through the next five years if the consensus growth rate is correct -- and multiple compression towards an earnings multiple of 22 is already included in that estimate. Due to the fact that TSM is trading above its normal range today, I believe that a 27x earnings multiple will not be maintained, but an earnings multiple in the low 20s seems quite reasonable to me. Even if the P/E ratio were to decline to just 20, TSM would still generate annual returns of 9% a year through 2026, assuming growth is as fast as expected. Since TSM has managed to beat profit estimates for 13 quarters in a row, one could assume that there is little risk that analyst estimates are suddenly too aggressive -- in fact, returns could be slightly higher than what the above model indicates if the beating of expectations continues.
\n
Overall, TSM looks like a very solid long-term investment if one seeks a play that gives exposure to the whole semiconductor industry and its long-term growth tailwinds.
\n
TSM pays a dividend yielding around 1.7% today, which is not overly much, but still more than what one can get from the broad market. Combined with a 5-year dividend growth rate of 13%, Taiwan Semiconductor seems like an appealing choice for a dividend growth investment -- the overall pretty strong Dividend Grades from Seeking Alpha's quant algorithm underline this. It would, of course, be great if one could buy TSM at or closer to the median earnings multiples from the past, but there is no immediate catalyst that could bring shares back down below $100, and it is far from certain that this will happen at all.
\n
Overall, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company thus looks like a very solid long-term pick, even though total returns will likely be negatively impacted by some multiple compression in the long run. Annual returns, including dividends, in the 9%-12% range are realistic when one has a multi-year investment horizon, I believe. This is far from what one got over the last five years (more than 30% a year), but this could easily be enough to beat the returns of the market through 2026, I believe.
","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Is Taiwan Semiconductor Stock A Good Long-Term Investment? This is far from what one got over the last five years (more than 30% a year), but this could easily be enough to beat the returns of the market through 2026, I believe.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"TSM":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":909,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":899641103,"gmtCreate":1628181963502,"gmtModify":1703502787444,"author":{"id":"3571919991986405","authorId":"3571919991986405","name":"ProsPaddles","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/5743775abc150fab8749a749f0511b63","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3571919991986405","idStr":"3571919991986405"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Buy buy buy!!!","listText":"Buy buy buy!!!","text":"Buy buy buy!!!","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/899641103","repostId":"2157943956","repostType":2,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":680,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":890375867,"gmtCreate":1628085387759,"gmtModify":1703500951222,"author":{"id":"3571919991986405","authorId":"3571919991986405","name":"ProsPaddles","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/5743775abc150fab8749a749f0511b63","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3571919991986405","idStr":"3571919991986405"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Apple(AAPL)$higher please ","listText":"$Apple(AAPL)$higher please ","text":"$Apple(AAPL)$higher please","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/e308255577cdf7f1441a1d607a3a1c05","width":"1080","height":"1920"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/890375867","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":550,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":890378090,"gmtCreate":1628085281510,"gmtModify":1703500945444,"author":{"id":"3571919991986405","authorId":"3571919991986405","name":"ProsPaddles","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/5743775abc150fab8749a749f0511b63","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3571919991986405","idStr":"3571919991986405"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Can I see the surge in Msft? Both U.S. carmakers are aiming to expand battery production and EV model rollouts over the next five years as they chase Tesla's leadership at home and in China, the world's biggest car market.
\n
And the pair have a lot of chasing to do: although electric cars comprise a tiny total of the 14.5 million vehicles sold in the U.S. last year, most were made by Elon Musk's company. Tesla sold just over 200,000 electric cars in the U.S. in 2020, nearly ten times more than GM's best (at least to date) EV option, the Chevy Bolt.
\n
U.S. EV makers also facing increasing pressure from global giants such as Volkswagen (VLKAY), which wants to sell one million electric and hybrid cars this year, while spending âŹ35 billion ($42.4 billion) by 2025 to expand battery production and fleet offerings in a bid to dominate the European market.
\n
Toyota (TM) -Get Report, the world's biggest carmaker and the first company to sell electric cars in volume, plans to have 70 EV models on the market by 2025 and use its legacy foothold in China -- where the Corolla is a perennial favorite -- to boost overall sales.
\n
So where does that leave U.S. automakers in their drive to capture the lion's share of the industry's next century?
\n
Much will depend on President Joe Biden's ambitions of investing around $175 billion in clean-energy car infrastructure, including charging stations and tax incentives, in order to spark a change in perception for the American car buyer, who has yet to find electric vehicles nearly as exciting as the media.
\n
Tax incentives might help, and Senate lawmakers are moving a bill that could boost the current maximum credit for buyers of an EV from $7,500 to $12,500, but lifetime limits for manufacturers of 200,000 eligible vehicles is a laughably absurd figure (GM passed it three years ago) that is holding back EV adoption.
\n
Battery costs, too, must come down if carmakers are going to build profit margins that justify the billions they've invested in developing EVs (that also limit shareholder friendly initiatives such as buybacks and dividends).
\n
Ford hopes to cut its battery costs to $80 per kilowatt hour by 2030 from $155 currently, a figure GM hopes to reach by 2025, but Tesla wants to get that number down to $55, and if successful, would extend its lead over domestic rivals.
\n
That might explain Tesla's near $600 billion market value -- some seven times more than GM, which sold 13.6 times more cars than Tesla last year -- and the assumption that it will continue its EV market dominance.
\n
But that leadership is based on Tesla's strength in China, where the country's passenger car association said it had an 11.6% market share of EV sales last year, where it remains vulnerable to government edicts and favored domestic rivals, and the sale of carbon credits that flatter its bottom line and account for more profits than the sale of four-wheel products.
\n
Ford and GM, meanwhile, face deep-pocketed rivals in the form of VW and Toyota that also have the added advantage of footholds in markets that the U.S. pair have either abandoned (Europe) or in which they are merely nascent (China).
\n
Furthermore, tax breaks that create union jobs -- a stated ambition of the Biden EV infrastructure plans -- are unlikely to find favor in a bill that has little support among Republican lawmakers, and should Congress flip in 2022 to GOP control, you wouldn't bet on deeper support from a government saddled with record budget deficits and $21 trillion in debt.
\n
Ford's coming electrified F-150, a revamp of the world's most popular vehicle, could change American buyer perception, but a decade of false starts, from the Volt to Focus and others, have yet to be fully overcome.
\n
We won't be driving combustion-engine cars in 25 years, that's for sure -- in fact, we may not be driving much at all if autonomous technology reaches the lofty goals its creators have set -- but we simply can't say for sure whether Tesla, or any American company, will be making the ones that we do.
","source":"lsy1610613172068","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; Both U.S. carmakers are aiming to expand battery production and EV model rollouts over the next five years as they chase Tesla's leadership at home and in China, the world's biggest car market.\nAnd the pair have a lot of chasing to do: although electric cars comprise a tiny total of the 14.5 million vehicles sold in the U.S. last year, most were made by Elon Musk's company. Tesla sold just over 200,000 electric cars in the U.S. in 2020, nearly ten times more than GM's best (at least to date) EV option, the Chevy Bolt.\nU.S. EV makers also facing increasing pressure from global giants such as Volkswagen (VLKAY), which wants to sell one million electric and hybrid cars this year, while spending âŹ35 billion ($42.4 billion) by 2025 to expand battery production and fleet offerings in a bid to dominate the European market.\nToyota (TM) -Get Report, the world's biggest carmaker and the first company to sell electric cars in volume, plans to have 70 EV models on the market by 2025 and use its legacy foothold in China -- where the Corolla is a perennial favorite -- to boost overall sales.\nSo where does that leave U.S. automakers in their drive to capture the lion's share of the industry's next century?\nMuch will depend on President Joe Biden's ambitions of investing around $175 billion in clean-energy car infrastructure, including charging stations and tax incentives, in order to spark a change in perception for the American car buyer, who has yet to find electric vehicles nearly as exciting as the media.\nTax incentives might help, and Senate lawmakers are moving a bill that could boost the current maximum credit for buyers of an EV from $7,500 to $12,500, but lifetime limits for manufacturers of 200,000 eligible vehicles is a laughably absurd figure (GM passed it three years ago) that is holding back EV adoption.\nBattery costs, too, must come down if carmakers are going to build profit margins that justify the billions they've invested in developing EVs (that also limit shareholder friendly initiatives such as buybacks and dividends).\nFord hopes to cut its battery costs to $80 per kilowatt hour by 2030 from $155 currently, a figure GM hopes to reach by 2025, but Tesla wants to get that number down to $55, and if successful, would extend its lead over domestic rivals.\nThat might explain Tesla's near $600 billion market value -- some seven times more than GM, which sold 13.6 times more cars than Tesla last year -- and the assumption that it will continue its EV market dominance.\nBut that leadership is based on Tesla's strength in China, where the country's passenger car association said it had an 11.6% market share of EV sales last year, where it remains vulnerable to government edicts and favored domestic rivals, and the sale of carbon credits that flatter its bottom line and account for more profits than the sale of four-wheel products.\nFord and GM, meanwhile, face deep-pocketed rivals in the form of VW and Toyota that also have the added advantage of footholds in markets that the U.S. pair have either abandoned (Europe) or in which they are merely nascent (China).\nFurthermore, tax breaks that create union jobs -- a stated ambition of the Biden EV infrastructure plans -- are unlikely to find favor in a bill that has little support among Republican lawmakers, and should Congress flip in 2022 to GOP control, you wouldn't bet on deeper support from a government saddled with record budget deficits and $21 trillion in debt.\nFord's coming electrified F-150, a revamp of the world's most popular vehicle, could change American buyer perception, but a decade of false starts, from the Volt to Focus and others, have yet to be fully overcome.\nWe won't be driving combustion-engine cars in 25 years, that's for sure -- in fact, we may not be driving much at all if autonomous technology reaches the lofty goals its creators have set -- but we simply can't say for sure whether Tesla, or any American company, will be making the ones that we do.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"TSLA":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":486,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[{"author":{"id":"3583318222987864","authorId":"3583318222987864","name":"TheMilkyWay","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/190d59bcbcc876e15543cbd430d8c1f2","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"idStr":"3583318222987864","authorIdStr":"3583318222987864"},"content":"Still buying, still holding. Inflation will remain elevated enough to shake up the stock market, possibly causing a selloff as much as 15%. You need to prepare now.
\n
The reason: Persistently high inflation will move the 10-year Treasury yield to 2% and get the Federal Reserve to start tapering its stimulus by the end of the year. Both will rattle the stock market.
\n
The government said June 10 that the cost of living surged in May and drove the pace of inflation to a 13-year high of 5%.
\n
What should you do? Probably the opposite of what you are thinking. Before we get to that, here is a look at the two key events for stocks â in the bond market and at the Fed â between today and the end of the year.
\n
Rising yields
\n
Remember how the stock market freaked out earlier this year when the 10-year Treasury yield TMUBMUSD10Y,1.452% moved up to around 1.7%? Well, expect a repeat. Only worse.
\n
âWe suspect that inflation in the U.S. will prove more persistent than investors currently appear to anticipate,â says Capital Economics economist Franziska Palmas, citing the tight labor market and wage growth. Her research group puts the 10-year yield at 2.25% by the end of this year, and 2.5% by the end of 2022.
\n
Thatâll be a big move from the current level of 1.5%. Stock investors tend to panic when interest rates rise a lot.
\n
Fed tapering
\n
Fed Chairman Jerome Powell has downplayed the need for tapering the central bankâs bond purchases to keep yields low. But half of the 12 members of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) have recently said theyâre ready to start talking about tapering. The FOMC is the Fed branch that sets monetary policy.
\n
âIt will be increasingly hard for Powell to claim the economy needs to make âsubstantial further progressâ toward achieving maximum employment before the Fed starts talking about talking about tapering,â says Ed Yardeni, author of Predicting the Markets and head of Yardeni Research. Powell has repeatedly said the Fed is awaiting âsubstantial further progressâ in the economy before terminating its stimulus.
\n
âGiven the performance of the economy, it is reasonable to expect they will start to taper before end of year, and a few months later they will start to raise the federal funds rate,â predicts Yardeni.
\n
He thinks the Fed will announce a decision to start tapering in its July meeting. Tapering refers to a reduction in bond purchases by the Fed. This tightens the money supply to put the brakes on growth. Once purchases go to zero, the Fed moves on to cutting rates.
\n
As we know, tapering causes a âtaper tantrumâ in the stock market, meaning a sharp selloff in indices like the S&P 500 SPX,+0.19%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA,+0.04% and Nasdaq COMP,+0.35%.
\n
How to prepare
\n
When considering how to position for the probable selloff caused by rising bond yields and Fed tightening, the key things to remember is why these things are happening in the first place, and what history tells us about how stocks behave.
\n
The consensus view is that tapering and rising bond yields kill off economic growth and the bull market in stocks. But this isnât actually true.
\n
Yes, initially, tightening can make stocks fall â or churn sideways, at best. But then stocks shake it off and move higher as the bull market continues. This makes sense, because the tightening is happening for good reasons that help companies â strong economic growth. This pushes earnings a lot higher, which resets valuations lower â back down to levels investors feel comfortable with.
\n
âTapering is part and parcel of a recovery,â says Leuthold market strategist Jim Paulsen. âIt is a response to successful policy and a rebound in the economy. It is a natural part of the bull market that allows the market to go higher. Itâs a healthy development.â
\n
Looking through all the market fireworks that may lie ahead, Paulsen thinks underlying economic growth will push S&P 500 earnings up to $220 by the end of the year. Assuming the S&P 500 is at current levels or a little bit lower, that would bring the indexâs price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio down to 18-19 â which is near or below the average since 1990. âThat sets up the next leg of the bull market,â he says.
\n
Your five-point game plan
\n
1. Do not go to âdefensivesâ
\n
When people see stock market turbulence, the knee-jerk reaction is to go for the âstabilityâ of defensive names like utilities and consumer staples. But that would be a mistake. You want to go to defensives when the economy is slowing or contracting, not when it is strong. Another problem is that defensive names pay yield. So, like bonds, they get hit by rising interest rates, which devalue dividends â and dividend-paying stocks and bonds.
\n
âThe best way to protect yourself is to tie your portfolio to the overheated economy. That is where the best profit growth and profit leverage is,â says Paulsen. âYou do not get that with defensives.â
\n
2. Go with companies that benefit from growth
\n
Since rapid economic growth is causing the tapering â and the growth is usually not killed off by tightening â stocks linked to growth typically are the best place to be. This means cyclicals like industrials, basic materials consumer names, small-caps and international stocks. âSlower growth consumer staples and utilities wonât keep up with growth areas of the market,â says Paulsen.
\n
I first suggested Lindblad Expeditions LIND,+0.17% and Cardlytics CDLX,+4.54% and in my stock letter, Brush Up on Stocks (the link to my site is in the bio, below) in September 2020 and November 2019. I still like and own both even though they are up 48% and 157% â or two to four times the S&P 500. Recent insider buying confirms they are buys and holds around current levels. Plus, both are cyclical names. Cardlytics helps credit card companies understand customer buying patterns for marketing purposes. Lindblad offers specialized cruise adventures to exotic locales. Both benefit from economic growth that powers more consumer spending.
\n
3. Do not get out of stocks
\n
If you think a selloff is coming, it might be tempting to try to get out of stocks right before that, to buy back after the weakness happens. But this is a lot harder than you think. In fact, it is almost impossible to get the timing right, say market veterans.
\n
âYou have to make two smart decisions,â says Yardeni. âYou have to get out just before the correction and then you have to decide when to get back in. I donât know of too many people that can do that consistently.â
\n
Market timers often get out and donât get back in, and they miss the next leg up. âYou can get yourself into trouble trying to avoid the correction,â says Paulsen.
\n
4. Do not own bonds
\n
Bond yields will be 2% or higher by the end of year. So donât own bonds, whose prices fall when yields rise â unless you simply plan to hold to maturity to collect the income.
\n
5. Go with financials
\n
Strong economies typically make the yield curve more upward sloping, meaning that long-term interest rates on 10-year Treasuries rise a lot faster than short-term interest rates. Since banks borrow at the short end and lend at the long end, steepening yield curves help them.
\n
The strong economy will also help banks release reserves and lower provisions for loan losses, both of which can boost earnings, points out Yardeni. Both JPMorgan Chase JPM,-0.07% and Bank of America BAC,+0.41% are up over twice as much as the S&P 500 since I suggested them in my stock letter last August. But they still look attractive. Recent pattern buying by smart insiders among smaller banks confirms the sector is still one to own, despite the strength over the past few quarters.
","source":"lsy1603348471595","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Donât be fooled â inflation is a big risk for stock market investors. The FOMC is the Fed branch that sets monetary policy.\nâIt will be increasingly hard for Powell to claim the economy needs to make âsubstantial further progressâ toward achieving maximum employment before the Fed starts talking about talking about tapering,â says Ed Yardeni, author of Predicting the Markets and head of Yardeni Research. Powell has repeatedly said the Fed is awaiting âsubstantial further progressâ in the economy before terminating its stimulus.\nâGiven the performance of the economy, it is reasonable to expect they will start to taper before end of year, and a few months later they will start to raise the federal funds rate,â predicts Yardeni.\nHe thinks the Fed will announce a decision to start tapering in its July meeting. Tapering refers to a reduction in bond purchases by the Fed. This tightens the money supply to put the brakes on growth. Once purchases go to zero, the Fed moves on to cutting rates.\nAs we know, tapering causes a âtaper tantrumâ in the stock market, meaning a sharp selloff in indices like the S&P 500 SPX,+0.19%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA,+0.04% and Nasdaq COMP,+0.35%.\nHow to prepare\nWhen considering how to position for the probable selloff caused by rising bond yields and Fed tightening, the key things to remember is why these things are happening in the first place, and what history tells us about how stocks behave.\nThe consensus view is that tapering and rising bond yields kill off economic growth and the bull market in stocks. But this isnât actually true.\nYes, initially, tightening can make stocks fall â or churn sideways, at best. But then stocks shake it off and move higher as the bull market continues. This makes sense, because the tightening is happening for good reasons that help companies â strong economic growth. This pushes earnings a lot higher, which resets valuations lower â back down to levels investors feel comfortable with.\nâTapering is part and parcel of a recovery,â says Leuthold market strategist Jim Paulsen. âIt is a response to successful policy and a rebound in the economy. It is a natural part of the bull market that allows the market to go higher. Itâs a healthy development.â\nLooking through all the market fireworks that may lie ahead, Paulsen thinks underlying economic growth will push S&P 500 earnings up to $220 by the end of the year. Assuming the S&P 500 is at current levels or a little bit lower, that would bring the indexâs price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio down to 18-19 â which is near or below the average since 1990. âThat sets up the next leg of the bull market,â he says.\nYour five-point game plan\n1. Do not go to âdefensivesâ\nWhen people see stock market turbulence, the knee-jerk reaction is to go for the âstabilityâ of defensive names like utilities and consumer staples. But that would be a mistake. You want to go to defensives when the economy is slowing or contracting, not when it is strong. Another problem is that defensive names pay yield. So, like bonds, they get hit by rising interest rates, which devalue dividends â and dividend-paying stocks and bonds.\nâThe best way to protect yourself is to tie your portfolio to the overheated economy. That is where the best profit growth and profit leverage is,â says Paulsen. âYou do not get that with defensives.â\n2. Go with companies that benefit from growth\nSince rapid economic growth is causing the tapering â and the growth is usually not killed off by tightening â stocks linked to growth typically are the best place to be. This means cyclicals like industrials, basic materials consumer names, small-caps and international stocks. âSlower growth consumer staples and utilities wonât keep up with growth areas of the market,â says Paulsen.\nI first suggested Lindblad Expeditions LIND,+0.17% and Cardlytics CDLX,+4.54% and in my stock letter, Brush Up on Stocks (the link to my site is in the bio, below) in September 2020 and November 2019. Both benefit from economic growth that powers more consumer spending.\n3. Do not get out of stocks\nIf you think a selloff is coming, it might be tempting to try to get out of stocks right before that, to buy back after the weakness happens. But this is a lot harder than you think. In fact, it is almost impossible to get the timing right, say market veterans.\nâYou have to make two smart decisions,â says Yardeni. âYou have to get out just before the correction and then you have to decide when to get back in. I donât know of too many people that can do that consistently.â\nMarket timers often get out and donât get back in, and they miss the next leg up. âYou can get yourself into trouble trying to avoid the correction,â says Paulsen.\n4. Do not own bonds\nBond yields will be 2% or higher by the end of year. So donât own bonds, whose prices fall when yields rise â unless you simply plan to hold to maturity to collect the income.\n5. Go with financials\nStrong economies typically make the yield curve more upward sloping, meaning that long-term interest rates on 10-year Treasuries rise a lot faster than short-term interest rates. Since banks borrow at the short end and lend at the long end, steepening yield curves help them.\nThe strong economy will also help banks release reserves and lower provisions for loan losses, both of which can boost earnings, points out Yardeni. Both JPMorgan Chase JPM,-0.07% and Bank of America BAC,+0.41% are up over twice as much as the S&P 500 since I suggested them in my stock letter last August. But they still look attractive. Recent pattern buying by smart insiders among smaller banks confirms the sector is still one to own, despite the strength over the past few quarters.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".SPX":0.9,".DJI":0.9,".IXIC":0.9,"SPY":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":215,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[{"author":{"id":"3569313801991301","authorId":"3569313801991301","name":"ćŒćŒćżćżć„œćżæ çć ćŒ","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/dff103551cc901aee1ee3b3d32ec232c","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"idStr":"3569313801991301","authorIdStr":"3569313801991301"},"content":"don't trust fake news. they have been talking about inflation since 2007. they want us to panic sell so they can buy","text":"don't trust fake news. they have been talking about inflation since 2007. they want us to panic sell so they can buy","html":"don't trust fake news. they have been talking about inflation since 2007. they want us to panic sell so they can buy"},{"author":{"id":"3575328448146184","authorId":"3575328448146184","name":"Ohf","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/e4174eb3be03b5ef8054017579f86715","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"idStr":"3575328448146184","authorIdStr":"3575328448146184"},"content":"Agree with you!","text":"Agree with you!","html":"Agree with you!"}],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":195386568,"gmtCreate":1621257973554,"gmtModify":1704354733024,"author":{"id":"3571919991986405","authorId":"3571919991986405","name":"ProsPaddles","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/5743775abc150fab8749a749f0511b63","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3571919991986405","authorIdStr":"3571919991986405"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$enough said! Can that change in the second half of 2021?\n
\n
Alibaba (BABA) -Get Report has been a total dog so far this year. Shares were trading well into the fourth quarter of 2020 but then a string of issues pummeled the stock.
\n
Regulators disrupted Ant's initial public offering, then dug deeper on Alibaba and dialed up the heat.
\n
Investors donât like regulatory issues as it is but particularly when weâre dealing with Chinese regulators.
\n
However, in April, Alibaba paid a smaller-than-expectedbut still record fine, hoping to puts its regulatory issues behind it. Still, the stock hasnât responded the way bulls were hoping.
\n
All of this comes as the S&P 500 and Nasdaq continue to grind outnew all-time highs.
\n
It also comes as FAANG stocks continue to trade incredibly well. Alphabet (GOOGL) -Get Reportis the top performerwith a near-40% gain in the first half of the year, while Netflix (NFLX) -Get Report is the worst, with a 2.3% drop.
\n
Alibaba has a similar first-half performance, down 2.6%. However, itâs doing far worse from the highs, down more than 30%.
\n
Can it turn around its woes in the second half and start rallying higher?
\n

\n
Call me a hopeless optimist, but I feel that Alibaba can have a solid second-half performance.
\n
The overall market has done too well and so has large-cap tech. The fundamentals of the business are intact and growth is strong. Itâs like Amazon (AMZN) -Get Report.Eventually, it will perform better - itâs a question of âwhenâ and not âif.â
\n
Shares continue to hold the $210 to $212 area and have recently cleared downtrend resistance (blue line). Can that change in the second half of 2021?\n\nAlibaba (BABA) -Get Report has been a total dog so far this year. Shares were trading well into the fourth quarter of 2020 but then a string of issues pummeled the stock.\nRegulators disrupted Ant's initial public offering, then dug deeper on Alibaba and dialed up the heat.\nInvestors donât like regulatory issues as it is but particularly when weâre dealing with Chinese regulators.\nHowever, in April, Alibaba paid a smaller-than-expectedbut still record fine, hoping to puts its regulatory issues behind it. Still, the stock hasnât responded the way bulls were hoping.\nAll of this comes as the S&P 500 and Nasdaq continue to grind outnew all-time highs.\nIt also comes as FAANG stocks continue to trade incredibly well. Alphabet (GOOGL) -Get Reportis the top performerwith a near-40% gain in the first half of the year, while Netflix (NFLX) -Get Report is the worst, with a 2.3% drop.\nAlibaba has a similar first-half performance, down 2.6%. However, itâs doing far worse from the highs, down more than 30%.\nCan it turn around its woes in the second half and start rallying higher?\n\nCall me a hopeless optimist, but I feel that Alibaba can have a solid second-half performance.\nThe overall market has done too well and so has large-cap tech. The fundamentals of the business are intact and growth is strong. Itâs like Amazon (AMZN) -Get Report.Eventually, it will perform better - itâs a question of âwhenâ and not âif.â\nShares continue to hold the $210 to $212 area and have recently cleared downtrend resistance (blue line). That said, thereâs plenty of overhead hurdles.\nSpecifically, Alibaba stock is struggling with the 21-week moving average, as well as the 21-month and 10-month moving averages.\nLetâs be clear: There are not a lot of bullish technical components here. His argument isnât just that certain large-cap growth companies are trading on the assumption their revenues will grow at improbably fast rates. He adds that even if a given company does grow at a fast-enough pace, it soon would be larger than the market as a whole. In that case âvaluations are mathematically impossible.â

There are limits to growth, in other words. As John Maynard Keynes put it a century ago: trees donât grow to the sky.

To illustrate, Deluard analyzed the 351 companies within the Russell 3000 index that trade for more than 10 times sales. Thatâs much higher than the market as a whole; the S&P 500âs price-to-sales ratio is 3.0. Deluard generously assumed that these companiesâ revenue will grow by a factor of 54 over the next 17 years âequivalent to 26% annualized. He further assumed that, at the end of those 17 years, their price-to-sales ratios would be 6.4-to-1.

Deluard used these extremely generous assumptions because they apply to the so-called MAGA stocks (Microsoft,Apple,Alphabetâs Google and Amazon.com). Those four companiesâ revenues have grown at a 26% annualized pace, on average, over the past 17 years, and their average current price-to-sales ratio is 6.4.

Using a discount rate of 10% to calculate the present value of what these 351 companies would be worth in 2038 under his assumptions, Deluard found that 59 of them already have higher market caps. In other words, âthe market currently expects that almost 60 companies will be more successful [over the next 17 years] than Microsoft, Apple, Google and Amazon [have been over the last 17].â

Given the increasingly âwinner-take-allâ U.S. economy, it is in fact most unlikely that there will be many MAGA-like stocks in 2038. After all, the four current MAGA stocks represent around 20% of the total market cap of the S&P 500. These 59 emerging MAGA stocksâ combined market cap in 2038 would therefore be larger than the overall market under any realistic assumptions of the equity marketâs performance over the next 17 years.

How realistic are Deluardâs assumptions?

Deluardâs assumptions are generous, but he himself does not think they are realistic, I hasten to add. His point is that, even with them, itâs hard to justify the valuations of many of todayâs high-flying growth stocks.

One way he illustrates how unrealistic his assumptions are is to calculate how many years it will take the MAGA stocks to âgrow into their valuations.â Take Microsoft, for example, which currently trades at a price-to-sales ratio (PSR) of nearly 12-to-1. Eventually, of course, the companyâs PSR will converge with that of the overall market (currently with a PSR of 3.0), since otherwise the company would have to grow so fast as to become almost as large as the market itself (if not larger).

Deluard calculates the number of years it will take for this convergence to take place, even with the generous assumption that Microsoftâs revenue grows for the foreseeable future at the same pace it has for the last five years. Even if its stock price goes nowhere, he reports, this convergence will take 17 years.

The analogy Deluard draws is to the so-called Nifty Fifty stocks of the early 1970s. They were the high-flying blue-chip stocks that became so popular that their P/E ratios at the top of the bull market in late 1972 were, on average, double that of the overall market. Though their revenue continued to grow at a fast pace in subsequent years, their extreme overvaluation meant that their stock prices still went nowhere or declined for years thereafter.

Another analogy is to Cisco Systems stock at the top of the late 1990s internet bubble, when it briefly was the most valuable stock in the world. His argument isnât just that certain large-cap growth companies are trading on the assumption their revenues will grow at improbably fast rates. He adds that even if a given company does grow at a fast-enough pace, it soon would be larger than the market as a whole. In that case âvaluations are mathematically impossible.âThere are limits to growth, in other words. As John Maynard Keynes put it a century ago: trees donât grow to the sky.To illustrate, Deluard analyzed the 351 companies within the Russell 3000 index that trade for more than 10 times sales. Thatâs much higher than the market as a whole; the S&P 500âs price-to-sales ratio is 3.0. Deluard generously assumed that these companiesâ revenue will grow by a factor of 54 over the next 17 years âequivalent to 26% annualized. He further assumed that, at the end of those 17 years, their price-to-sales ratios would be 6.4-to-1.Deluard used these extremely generous assumptions because they apply to the so-called MAGA stocks (Microsoft,Apple,Alphabetâs Google and Amazon.com). Those four companiesâ revenues have grown at a 26% annualized pace, on average, over the past 17 years, and their average current price-to-sales ratio is 6.4.Using a discount rate of 10% to calculate the present value of what these 351 companies would be worth in 2038 under his assumptions, Deluard found that 59 of them already have higher market caps. In other words, âthe market currently expects that almost 60 companies will be more successful [over the next 17 years] than Microsoft, Apple, Google and Amazon [have been over the last 17].âGiven the increasingly âwinner-take-allâ U.S. economy, it is in fact most unlikely that there will be many MAGA-like stocks in 2038. After all, the four current MAGA stocks represent around 20% of the total market cap of the S&P 500. These 59 emerging MAGA stocksâ combined market cap in 2038 would therefore be larger than the overall market under any realistic assumptions of the equity marketâs performance over the next 17 years. How realistic are Deluardâs assumptions?Deluardâs assumptions are generous, but he himself does not think they are realistic, I hasten to add. Eventually, of course, the companyâs PSR will converge with that of the overall market (currently with a PSR of 3.0), since otherwise the company would have to grow so fast as to become almost as large as the market itself (if not larger).Deluard calculates the number of years it will take for this convergence to take place, even with the generous assumption that Microsoftâs revenue grows for the foreseeable future at the same pace it has for the last five years. Though their revenue continued to grow at a fast pace in subsequent years, their extreme overvaluation meant that their stock prices still went nowhere or declined for years thereafter.Another analogy is to Cisco Systems stock at the top of the late 1990s internet bubble, when it briefly was the most valuable stock in the world. Since then the companyâs sales have grown at more than twice the rate of the average S&P 500 company. And yet, despite this impressive growth, the companyâs stock today is well below where it stood then. Deluard believes that a similar fate faces not just the MAGA stocks, but also the U.S. marketâs many other extremely overvalued growth stocks.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"GOOGL":0.9,".DJI":0.9,"GOOG":0.9,"AAPL":0.9,"MSFT":0.9,"AMZN":0.9,".SPX":0.9,".IXIC":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":431,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[{"author":{"id":"3563873670221480","authorId":"3563873670221480","name":"æi168","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/34b2d0551b5ab028c13ab35747c4df8c","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"idStr":"3563873670221480","authorIdStr":"3563873670221480"},"content":"Not sure what he is taling about [Facepalm]","text":"Not sure what he is taling about [Facepalm]","html":"Not sure what he is taling about [Facepalm]"}],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":152574700,"gmtCreate":1625320154300,"gmtModify":1703740398361,"author":{"id":"3571919991986405","authorId":"3571919991986405","name":"ProsPaddles","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/5743775abc150fab8749a749f0511b63","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3571919991986405","authorIdStr":"3571919991986405"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"We have heard many times that the market is crashing. What good is that going to do you?â
\n
She points out the only extra money most people have goes towardinvesting for retirementin their 401(k) or IRA plans.
\n
Because you probably donât plan to touch that money for decades, the best long-term strategy is to buy low. That way, your dollar will go much further now, leaving plenty of room for growth over the next 20, 30 or 40 years.
\n
2. Invest on a schedule
\n
katjen / Shutterstock
\n
While she prefers to buy low, Orman doesnât recommend you stop investing completely when the market goes up.
\n
She wants casual investors to not get caught up in the daily ups and downs of the market.
\n
In fact, cheering for downturns now may be your best bet at getting a larger piece of very profitable investments â like some lucky investors were able to do back in 2007 and 2008.
\n
âWhen the market went down, down, down you could buy things at nothing,â says Orman. âAnd now look at them 15 years later.â
\n
She suggests you set up a dollar-cost averaging strategy, which means you invest your money in equal portions at regular intervals, regardless of the marketâs fluctuations.
\n
This kind of approach is easy to implement with any of the many investing apps currently available to DIY investors.
\n
There are even apps that willautomatically invest your spare changeby rounding up your debit and credit card purchases to the nearest dollar.
\n
3. Diversify with fractional shares
\n
To help weather dips in specific corners of the market, Orman suggests you diversify your investments â balance your portfolio with investments in many different types of assets and sectors of the economy.
\n
Orman particularly recommends fractional-share investing. This approach allows you to buy a slice of a share for a big-name company that you otherwise wouldnât be able to afford.
\n
With the help of apopular stock-trading tool, anyone at any budget can afford the fractional share strategy.
\n
âThe sooner you begin, the more money you will have,â says Orman. âJust donât stop, and when these markets go down, you should be so happy because your dollars find more shares.â
\n
âAnd the more shares you have, the more money youâll have 20, 40, 50 years from now.â
\n
What else you can do
\n
goodluz / Shutterstock
\n
Whether or not a big crash is around the corner, investors who are still decades out from retirement can make that work for them, Orman said in theCNBC video.
\n
First, prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Since the onset of the pandemic, Orman now recommends everyone have an emergency fund that can cover their expenses for a full year.
\n
Then, to set yourself up fora comfortable retirement, she suggests you opt for a Roth account, whether thatâs a 401(k) or IRA.
\n
That will help you avoid paying tax when you take money out of your retirement account because your contributions to a Roth account are made after tax. Traditional IRAs, on the other hand, arenât taxed when you make contributions, so youâll end up paying later.
\n
If you find you need a little more guidance, working with aprofessional financial adviser, can help point you in the right direction so you can confidently ride out any market volatility.
\n
While everyone else is veering off course or overcorrecting, youâll be firmly in the driverâs seat with your sunset years planned for.
","source":"lsy1621813427262","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; Invest on a schedule\nkatjen / Shutterstock\nWhile she prefers to buy low, Orman doesnât recommend you stop investing completely when the market goes up.\nShe wants casual investors to not get caught up in the daily ups and downs of the market.\nIn fact, cheering for downturns now may be your best bet at getting a larger piece of very profitable investments â like some lucky investors were able to do back in 2007 and 2008.\nâWhen the market went down, down, down you could buy things at nothing,â says Orman. âAnd now look at them 15 years later.â\nShe suggests you set up a dollar-cost averaging strategy, which means you invest your money in equal portions at regular intervals, regardless of the marketâs fluctuations.\nThis kind of approach is easy to implement with any of the many investing apps currently available to DIY investors.\nThere are even apps that willautomatically invest your spare changeby rounding up your debit and credit card purchases to the nearest dollar.\n3. Diversify with fractional shares\nTo help weather dips in specific corners of the market, Orman suggests you diversify your investments â balance your portfolio with investments in many different types of assets and sectors of the economy.\nOrman particularly recommends fractional-share investing. This approach allows you to buy a slice of a share for a big-name company that you otherwise wouldnât be able to afford.\nWith the help of apopular stock-trading tool, anyone at any budget can afford the fractional share strategy.\nâThe sooner you begin, the more money you will have,â says Orman. âJust donât stop, and when these markets go down, you should be so happy because your dollars find more shares.â\nâAnd the more shares you have, the more money youâll have 20, 40, 50 years from now.â\nWhat else you can do\ngoodluz / Shutterstock\nWhether or not a big crash is around the corner, investors who are still decades out from retirement can make that work for them, Orman said in theCNBC video.\nFirst, prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Since the onset of the pandemic, Orman now recommends everyone have an emergency fund that can cover their expenses for a full year.\nThen, to set yourself up fora comfortable retirement, she suggests you opt for a Roth account, whether thatâs a 401(k) or IRA.\nThat will help you avoid paying tax when you take money out of your retirement account because your contributions to a Roth account are made after tax. Traditional IRAs, on the other hand, arenât taxed when you make contributions, so youâll end up paying later.\nIf you find you need a little more guidance, working with aprofessional financial adviser, can help point you in the right direction so you can confidently ride out any market volatility.\nWhile everyone else is veering off course or overcorrecting, youâll be firmly in the driverâs seat with your sunset years planned for.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".DJI":0.9,"SPY":0.9,".SPX":0.9,".IXIC":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":397,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[{"author":{"id":"3557227905112544","authorId":"3557227905112544","name":"ShaunVee","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/5f64fe4fcaa4f1d2aedde844df964cb4","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"idStr":"3557227905112544","authorIdStr":"3557227905112544"},"content":"If market is soooo mucccch predictable, why hasnt this guy become the riches person on earth?
