@mster:I opened 1 lot(s) $AMD 20240503 170.0 CALL$ ,I opened 1 lot(s) $AMD 20240503 170.0 CALL$ ,Currently having a covered call option expiring today with the strike of 157.5. Decided to roll this out to next week with a higher strike of $170. The difference in strike price alone is 12.50 a share - if the underlying do get called away that is. Sold this option contract even before I close the 1st one as the premium is attractive enough (due to higher IV on the earnings week) even if the 1 contract May end up higher value to close. in any case, will be setting a limit to close the 1st contrac, it will still be a credit trade.
As we welcome the auspicious Year of the Dragon, may the coming year bestow upon you endless joy, prosperity, and success. Happy Chinese New Year! May each day be filled with love and sweetness. 😄
