President Donald Trump said U.S. oil companies will spend billions fixing Venezuela's "broken" oil infrastructure, "taking tremendous amount of wealth out of the ground," in a press conference Saturday.

"We'll be interested to see how the stock prices perform of the likes of Chevron (still working in Venezuela), plus Exxon Mobil and ConocoPhillips, whose oil assets were appropriated in 2007 and who presumably now would get a shot at the reconstruction project," ING's global head of markets, Chris Turner, said in a note early Monday.

Well, the stocks are surging. Whether the moves are justified, or not, remains to be seen.

"Chevron's existing footprint could mean it is best positioned to benefit from more opportunity," TD Cowen analyst Menno Hulshof said in a note Sunday.

Oil prices were edging higher early Monday after the OPEC cartel of producers opted to keep production steady. As short-term rates begin to decline, many REITs with floating-rate debt are expected to benefit from reduced financing costs, improved hedging terms, and eventual DPU (distribution per unit) recovery, particularly from 2Q25 onward.Singapore banks, whilst facing slight net interest margin compression, are expected to remain resilient. DBS noted lower deposit costs and rising income from wealth management — buoyed by record AUM and strong net inflows — are helping offset headwinds. Ongoing share buybacks are also supporting stock valuations. Both sectors have delivered solid total returns in the first half of 2025, with S-REITs up 3% YtD and banks holding steady. Looking ahead, DBS projects annualised returns of 10% to 13% for both segments from 2025 to 2026, as lower rates help equalise performance between the two.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"ACV.SI":1.1,"O39.SI":1.1,"ME8U.SI":1.1,"C38U.SI":1.1,"HMN.SI":1.1,"AJBU.SI":1.1,"M44U.SI":1.1,"A17U.SI":1.1,"K71U.SI":1.1,"N2IU.SI":1.1,"U11.SI":1.1,"AU8U.SI":1.1,"CY6U.SI":1.1,"J69U.SI":1.1,"DCRU.SI":1.1,"JYEU.SI":1.1,"SK6U.SI":1.1,"D05.SI":1.1,"J85.SI":1.1,"BUOU.SI":1.1,"OXMU.SI":1.1,"C2PU.SI":1.1}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1665,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":455253540884720,"gmtCreate":1752182782252,"gmtModify":1752182785918,"author":{"id":"3572341847466735","authorId":"3572341847466735","name":"VWapMax","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/5f640928682d3c7de592dc9ca1711fd5","crmLevel":7,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3572341847466735","idStr":"3572341847466735"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Seagate Technology PLC(STX)$ Buy.4 quarters of acceleration in earnings and revenue! With the appropriate strategy, allocation, and investing time horizon, this isn't an impossible goal by any means. As you diversify your basket of stocks to work toward this achievement, it's important to select quality businesses across a wide variety of sectors with multiple catalysts to sustain continued returns over a period of years. For example, if you were to invest $200,000 in the stock market right now, promising companies with innovative, industry-leading businesses ripe for future growth could foreseeably compound that investment by 5 times or more in the next decade. With that said, here are two such stocks that could help you build out your retirement plan.1. UpstartUpstart is dealing with extremely choppy market waters right now; however, looking beyond these events to the company's long-term prospects, an altogether brighter picture forms. To understand why, one has to take a deeper look into the inner workings of Upstart and its business, which is driven by artificial intelligence and machine learning. The company operates a lending marketplace that revolves around its innovative technology platform, which leverages more than 1,600 data points to assess the creditworthiness of any given consumer. In other words, it doesn't just the FICO score but atypical factors like education and income to help determine this.By using a far broader range of factors to determine whether an applicant ought to be approved for a loan, as well as the platform's predictive capabilities that calibrate to the economic environment to assess the likelihood of that applicant to default, Upstart has not only been able to democratize the long-stale lending arena but also lower risk for institutional partners with more inclusive and real-time data. Moreover, because Upstart's platform is constantly learning, this not only enables it to adjust to the most current economic conditions, but this also means that more of the company's loan applications are being handled on a fully automated basis. In Upstart's full-year 2022 earnings report, management said that 82% of all loan applications on the platform were fully automated -- the highest level of automation its model has reached in the history of the company. Moreover, 88% of all small-dollar loans are now automated. On top of that, as of the end of 2022, Upstart's model had learned more in the prior seven months than it had in the entire 30 months before that.During 2022, Upstart's number of bank and credit union partners soared 120% from 2021, and its network of auto dealers jumped more than 90% year over year. Bear in mind, the auto lending market alone represents a near $800 billion opportunity, and as of the end of 2022, the company had the second-fastest-growing auto retail software in the country. As Upstart's platform is constantly learning, a challenging economic environment is inevitably going to mean that it approves fewer loans than it would in a situation where the risk of default is lower, but this would also indicate the exact opposite would happen in a more buoyant economic landscape. At the same time, the combination of institutional partners funding far fewer loans right now and a drop in consumers applying for loans has contributed to the declines in Upstart's top and bottom lines recently. While investors will need to continue watching these factors closely in the quarters ahead, it's important to differentiate broader economic headwinds from headwinds tied directly to Upstart's business. The fact that the company is expanding market share, boosting platform automation, and rapidly growing its partner network even in a decidedly bleak lending environment is notable, and could prime the business for a relatively rapid upward trajectory once the economic environment improves and interest rates come down. Even a conservative position in this top growth stock could yield tremendous results over the next five to 10 years when paired with a wide selection of investments in a buy-and-hold investment portfolio. That potential may be too intriguing for some investors to overlook while the stock's currently trading down.2. TeladocTeladoc investors -- and I am one of them -- have faced more than their fair share of volatile market days over the past year. While shares of this healthcare stock are still down 64% from 12 months ago, they've risen roughly 15% since the start of 2023. The market has been far less kind toward unprofitable, growth-oriented businesses in the current economic environment, and Teladoc currently fits squarely into both categories. The full 2022 year saw Teladoc achieve some notable goals, while falling short on other fronts. Revenue totaled $2.4 billion for the 12-month period, an 18% increase from 2021. Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) was down year over year, but still hit $247 million. Teladoc also continues to see rapid adoption across a wide range of its healthcare services, with its teletherapy arm BetterHelp alone posting revenue growth of 29% year over year in the final quarter of 2022.Teladoc reported a third impairment charge in Q4 of 2022 after having significantly shaved its net losses in the prior quarter. Specifically, it ended the 12-month period with a net loss of $13.7 billion, almost entirely due to impairment charges related to writing down the value of its 2020 Livongo acquisition. Here's the thing, though: While this loss is unpleasant to look at as an investor, these were non-cash impairment charges. In other words, paper-only net losses, which are not the same as actual operational losses.Even though Teladoc overpaid for that acquisition, its contribution to its overall mission of disrupting the still underserved chronic care solutions market remains a notable green flag for the long-term future of the integration of these two businesses. CEO Jason Gorevic noted the following about its chronic care segment and broader platform expansion on the company's 2022 earnings call:Access to our platform is available to over 80 million individuals in the U.S. today, primarily through our relationships with employers and health plans. Over 50% of that population has access to more than one of our products. And when I look at our suite of chronic care solutions, 30% of enrollees are now utilizing more than one chronic care product. Our BetterHelp offering provided over 1 million individuals with access to mental healthcare over the past year, many of whom are unlikely to have received any care at all, if not for our services. Our platform enabled over 22 million visits across specialties last year and over 0.5 billion digital health interactions with an unmatched consumer experience and a net promoter score over 60. That breadth and scale is unrivaled in the industry and gives us a strong foundation on which to expand.Teladoc remains the premier telehealth platform in the U.S., and the increasing diversity and adoption of its offerings bode well for its ability to continue expanding its market share in the years ahead. Management has been clear that moving back to profitability is a key goal for the future. The investments Teladoc is making now could yield robust returns for the company and its shareholders in the years ahead. As such, given Teladoc's long trajectory for growth, forward-thinking investors may find any dips in the stock to be too good to pass up.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"TDOC":0.9,"UPST":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":742,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9949751570,"gmtCreate":1678922166691,"gmtModify":1678922170218,"author":{"id":"3572341847466735","authorId":"3572341847466735","name":"VWapMax","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/5f640928682d3c7de592dc9ca1711fd5","crmLevel":7,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572341847466735","authorIdStr":"3572341847466735"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Credit Suisse Group AG(CS)$ i bought leap calls expiring on end 2024 and 2025 at dirt cheap price. Rivian Automotive (RIVN) was worth $153 billion at the prior high mark in November 2021. Rivian shares are worth about $19 billion now.

VinFast shares are also worth more than Porsche (P911. Germany), which is worth about $100 billion. It is comfortably ahead of the second-largest maker of battery-electric vehicles, or BEVs, on the planet, BYD (1211. Hong Kong), which is worth about $92 billion.

Only Tesla (TSLA), the largest producer of BEVs, is worth more. Tesla’s market cap is about $720 billion. Tesla passed $150 billion in market cap in early 2020, roughly 17 years after its founding and long after it had ceased to be a start-up. Tesla’s market cap was about $2 billion at the time of its 2010 IPO.

The deal VinFast management struck to bring the company public valued the stock at roughly $23 billion. Few saw the huge gains coming.

One thing a high stock price can do is provide the opportunity to raise capital. VinFast doesn’t produce free cash flow yet and will need more money from external sources to build its business. The company didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment about its plans for raising cash.

One problem with raising capital with a rapidly rising stock is that it can be a catalyst for the price to fall. If VinFast was to raise $1 billion by selling roughly 20 million shares, it would have to place those 20 million shares with investors. That would be significant because only about 17 million shares are available for trading following the merger with a special-purpose acquisition company that brought VinFast public. Most are held by insiders.

That 17 million figure is one reason shares are up so much. Less than $1 billion worth of stock is actively bought and sold. That is small enough to be influenced by traders.

There is lots of action. More than 40 million shares have traded over the past three sessions. That puts the average holding period for a trader, or investor, in the stock at about 1.3 days.

Short sellers are one kind of trader. They borrow stock they don’t own and sell it, betting on price declines. Early short sellers haven’t made out well.

S3 Partners managing partner Ihor Dusaniwsky told Barron’s there were roughly 1.2 million shares sold short just after the SPAC merger closed. Those short sellers are down in the range of $20 million. That number, however, is only an abstraction. The traders could have bought and sold stock many times since then.

Shorts, it seems, have run for the hills. Dusaniwsky told Barron’s Friday that there are only about 100,000 shares short now. Indeed, the valuations of many AI stocks now carry prices in years and years of growth. Thus, even if this opportunity materializes, it’s unclear how much upside will be left for those who get in at these levels. This is not the case with AI stocks wit huge potential.Accordingly, many investors may be looking for AI stocks to sell rather than buy right now. That sentiment is understandable. However, for those itching to get into this sector, there are certainly plenty of AI stocks with the potential to double. If this market mania continues, anything is possible, but these three companies certainly have the best shot of doubling from here amid broadly bullish sentiment. So here are AI stocks with huge potential.Upstart Holdings (UPST)Source: shutterstock.com/Tex vectorGiven the relatively short lifespan of Upstart (NASDAQ:UPST), it’s incredible to see a number of dramatic surges and falls in a two-year period. Upstart surged during the previous post-pandemic mania, reaching an astronomical valuation, as investors piled into hyper-growth stocks in a big way. At the time, AI was viewed as a massive growth catalyst, but optimism was far more widespread. Following last year’s decline, 2023 has brought about a fresh wave of optimism around the AI sector specifically, benefiting Upstart. The company’s AI-driven model used for credit scoring has turned the industry on its head. The company has collaborated with over 99 banks, serving 2.6 million customers, and originating $32 billion in loans. With AI-driven models, it approves as many loans with a 53% lower default rate than competitors. Upstart Holdings, valued at $4.5 billion, has the potential to challenge incumbents like Experian, Fair Isaac, TransUnion, and Equifax, collectively valued at nearly $100 billion. I’m bullish on this stock over the long term, and think its valuation could easily double if bullish market conditions return.International Business Machines (IBM)Source: shutterstock.com/LCVFor a budget-friendly AI investment, consider IBM (NYSE:IBM), less exciting than Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA), but intriguing. Despite minor gains since January, the semiconductor manufacturer’s forward multiple of 15.2-times earnings is a discount compared to competitors, ranking better than 75.07%. Additionally, its free cash flow ratio at 12.95 times outperforms the sector median of 24.95x.IBM aims to overcome challenges in quantum computing by focusing on error correction, leading to a 100,000 qubit quantum computer for practical applications like Shor’s algorithm. Of course, the chips space is all about innovation and R&D. In this regard, Intel has lagged behind. But under Pat Gelsinger’s watch, it looks like this could be changing. And if investors buy into the story, this is a stock with big double-up potential. This makes it one of those AI stocks with huge potential. While IBM is a player in quantum computing, its stock’s short-term movement is driven by its broader business. This stability sets it apart in the quantum computing sector. Amidst an early quantum stage, financially strong companies like IBM are likely to excel. Q2 2023 revenue and net income matched Q2 2022, showing consistency in a volatile industry. IBM’s resilience could make it a top quantum computing stock choice.C3.ai (AI)Source: Piotr Swat / Shutterstock.comC3.ai (NYSE:AI) is a rising star in enterprise AI software, attracting forward-looking investors with a prestigious client base. Serving government, industrial, and energy sectors, its prospects seem promising. However, concerns arise as 30% of revenue depends on a partnership with Baker Hughes, set to expire soon. Furthermore, a switch to usage-based fees could disrupt short-term revenue, compounded by competition from major cloud platforms. The company’s recent earnings results were impressive. C3.ai brought in$72.4 million in total revenue, 79% from subscriptions, highlighting strong demand where it matters. Additionally, the U.S. Air Force adopted their PANDA AI tool for enhanced predictive maintenance, reducing downtime, and improving aircraft availability.Despite the hype around AI and valuation surges across this sector, C3.ai’s financials will continue to face investor scrutiny. Revenue growth is strong, but profitability fluctuates. The company’s earnings per share loss widened from -$0.83 to -$2.45 in fiscal year 2023. Additionally, many customer opportunities remain in the pilot stages. A June selloff brought shares below the year-to-date peak. Thus, investors considering C3.ai’s potential may see this as a strategic entry point for a potential double-up. Just be warned, such a bet doesn’t come without risk.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"AI":0.9,"IBM":1,"UPST":1,"INTC":0.67,"NVDA":1}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1447,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":203139823427672,"gmtCreate":1690623837187,"gmtModify":1690623840485,"author":{"id":"3572341847466735","authorId":"3572341847466735","name":"VWapMax","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/5f640928682d3c7de592dc9ca1711fd5","crmLevel":7,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572341847466735","authorIdStr":"3572341847466735"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"I'm in since breakout.","listText":"I'm in since breakout.","text":"I'm in since breakout.","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":10,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/203139823427672","repostId":"2354515035","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"2354515035","kind":"highlight","pubTimestamp":1690599600,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2354515035?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2023-07-29 11:00","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Is Palantir Stock a Buy?","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2354515035","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"The analytics company is on a roll, sustaining profitability and introducing new artificial intelligence technology.","content":"
\n
KEY POINTSPalantir delivered consecutive profitable quarters and expects to maintain profitability this year. The company enjoyed multiple quarters of double-digit, year-over-year revenue growth and ...
\n\nSource Link\n\n
\n","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; Palantir stock plummeted to a 52-week low of $5.92 in December.But with inflation cooling off this year, tech stocks are enjoying a resurgence, Palantir among them. Adding to this are the company's own successes, such as finally achieving profitability after years of net losses.These factors propelled Palantir shares north of $16. So is it too late to buy Palantir stock? A look at how the company's currently doing can help to answer that question.Palantir's performanceWhat a difference a year makes. In the first quarter of 2022, Palantir sustained a net loss of $101.4 million. In Q1 of this year, the company delivered net income of $19.2 million.Palantir achieved profitability for the first time in the fourth quarter of 2022, so it's reassuring to see it deliver consecutive profitable quarters. In fact, Palantir expects to maintain profitability throughout 2023.Rising revenue contributed to Palantir's profitable Q1. The company hit $525.2 million in sales, which represented 18% year-over-year growth.The first quarter of 2023 was the latest in a string of quarters in which Palantir delivered double-digit revenue growth despite 2022's macroeconomic headwinds.QuarterRevenueYOY GrowthQ1 2023$525,18618%Q4 2022$508,62418%Q3 2022$477,88022%Q2 2022$473,01026%Q1 2022$446,35731%Data source: Palantir. YOY = year-over-year.The role of AI in Palantir's successPalantir's recent success looks likely to continue thanks to the introduction of the company's artificial intelligence platform (AIP), announced on April 27. AIP is just starting to roll out to customers, yet CEO Alex Karp described the demand for it as \"nothing I've ever seen in 20 years of being involved in Palantir.\"Customer hunger for AI in the data analytics field is understandable. Artificial intelligence is necessary to sift through and make sense of the massive amount of digital data we produce today. Over 200 million emails alone are sent every minute.So much digital data is generated now, it's measured in zettabytes, where one zettabyte is equal to a trillion gigabytes. The secular trend of AI is so important in the context of the zettabyte era that the AI market is forecasted to expand from $142.3 billion in 2022 to $1.8 trillion by 2030, providing a multiyear tailwind for Palantir.While other companies also possess AI capabilities, Palantir's competitive advantage stems from the fact its systems were built to handle classified government intelligence data. For instance, Palantir provided the U.S. Army with analysis used in the Army's battlefield intelligence system.This high standard makes Palantir's platform attractive to businesses, as exemplified by its customer growth. Palantir had 391 customers at the end of Q1, up from 277 the year prior.Palantir's other strengthsPalantir expects sales growth to continue. For the second quarter, the company forecasts revenue of at least $528 million compared to the prior year's $473 million, representing another quarter of double-digit growth. For the full year, Palantir anticipates revenue of $2.2 billion, up 16% over 2022's $1.9 billion.Adding to its revenue growth is Palantir's impressive balance sheet. The company exited Q1 with total assets of $3.7 billion, easily overshadowing its total liabilities of $879.9 million. It also held a whopping $2.9 billion in cash, cash equivalents, and marketable securities, and no debt.The company's financial strength doesn't end there. It generated adjusted free cash flow (FCF) of $188.9 million in Q1, a substantial jump from the prior year's $29.8 million, and the strongest FCF result in the company's history.Palantir is firing on all cylinders right now, introducing the possibility the company could beat its Q2 revenue estimate when it announces earnings on Aug. 7. Palantir did so in Q1, blowing past its revenue forecast of $507 million on the high end to deliver $525.2 million.With compelling AI capabilities, strong revenue growth, a stockpile of cash, and excellent FCF, there's a lot to like about Palantir right now. These factors contribute to making the company a solid long-term investment.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"PLTR":1}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1113,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9941556175,"gmtCreate":1680485639497,"gmtModify":1680485643063,"author":{"id":"3572341847466735","authorId":"3572341847466735","name":"VWapMax","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/5f640928682d3c7de592dc9ca1711fd5","crmLevel":7,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572341847466735","authorIdStr":"3572341847466735"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Think long term growth.","listText":"Think long term growth.","text":"Think long term growth.","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":9,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9941556175","repostId":"2324087350","repostType":2,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":419,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":197292104310864,"gmtCreate":1689207389173,"gmtModify":1689207393331,"author":{"id":"3572341847466735","authorId":"3572341847466735","name":"VWapMax","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/5f640928682d3c7de592dc9ca1711fd5","crmLevel":7,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572341847466735","authorIdStr":"3572341847466735"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Awesome my prediction $650 by Aug 2026","listText":"Awesome my prediction $650 by Aug 2026","text":"Awesome my prediction $650 by Aug 2026","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":8,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/197292104310864","repostId":"2350456532","repostType":2,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":922,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"lives":[]}
