More recently, however, several&nbsp;reports&nbsp;have been popping up about Tesla working hard to deliver vehicles into the end of this month.</p>\n<p>“After a disaster start to the quarter for Tesla in China, the Street is reading the tea leaves as bullish for the month of June with momentum into [the second half],” Wedbush analyst&nbsp;Dan Ivestells&nbsp;Barron’s. He believes 900,000 deliveries is still possible for 2021. Wall Street is modeling about 825,000. Tesla delivered about 500,000 cars in 2020.</p>\n<p><b>Green Tidal Wave</b></p>\n<p>Ives has also written about a “green tidal wave” coming from the White House. President Joe Biden wants part of any infrastructure bill to include purchase incentives for EVs as well as charging infrastructure. A bill isn’t ready, but&nbsp;progress&nbsp;was made in Washington this week.</p>\n<p><b>Musk Tweeting, Again</b></p>\n<p>No search for the reason behind moves in Tesla stock would be complete without looking at CEO Elon Musk ‘s&nbsp;Twitter (TWTR) feed. He tweeted Friday that the updated full self-driving, or FSD, software and subscription pricing could roll out in as soon as a week.</p>\n<p>Tesla plans to offer its highest level of&nbsp;driver assistance, called full self-driving or FSD, on a subscription basis. It’s a new era for car companies, which don’t typically get to realize recurring revenue like software providers. Bulls have been waiting quite some time for the FSD subscription to arrive.</p>\n<p><b>What’s Next</b></p>\n<p>Next up for Tesla investors, after any FSD release, will be second-quarter delivery numbers and then earnings. The chipmaker blamed supply chain issues for its failure to meet expectations as it was unable to meet the robust end-market demand. Additionally, Apple may have rolled back orders for the iPhone 12 series as the supply chain is already in motion&nbsp;to roll out this year's models.</p>\n<p>However, Cirrus did provide a hint that its business will pick up the pace in the second half of the year. CEO John Forsyth said on the Aprilearnings conference call:</p>\n<blockquote>\n In the coming months, we will begin shipping new technologies to our customers across a range of end devices, including important new content in the high-performance mixed-signal category. And based on these factors, we expect to accelerate revenue growth in FY 2022.\n</blockquote>\n<p>Cirrus' confidence isn't misplaced as its largest customer is expected to witness a big boom in sales. Reports suggest that Apple's suppliers have already started making components&nbsp;for this year's iPhones. What's more, the company is expected to bump its initial production of the 2021 iPhone lineup by 25% to 100 million&nbsp;units as compared to the iPhone 12's initial order size of 80 million units, according to Dan Ives of Wedbush. He also adds that Apple could finish 2021 with nearly 250 million units in sales, which would be its highest since 231 million sold in 2015.</p>\n<p>The iPhone's terrific momentum is expected to continue in 2022. Juniper Research estimates&nbsp;that Apple could sell $200 billion worth of iPhones next year, which doesn't look like a very ambitious target as the company has generated&nbsp;over $113 billion in iPhone revenue over the past six months.</p>\n<p>These tailwinds should help Cirrus shares break out from their mediocrity and set the market on fire in the future. So, investors looking to add agrowth stockto their portfolio should seriously consider Cirrus Logic as it trades at an attractive forward earnings multiple&nbsp;of just 15.</p>\n<p>2. AMD</p>\n<p>It is startling to see AMD stock taking a beating in 2021 considering the pace at which the chipmaker has been growing. The companydelivered outstanding resultsin 2020 and it has continued in the same vein in 2021, with revenue increasing a whopping 93% in the first quarter to $3.45 billion.</p>\n<p>AMD aims to clock 50% revenue growth this year, which would be better than its 2020 revenue increase of 45%. However, AMD can exceed its own expectations. The company had given investors a glimpse of the same when it reported its first-quarter results in April and raised its full-year revenue guidance. It was originally anticipating&nbsp;a 37% year-over-year increase in 2021 revenue, but a robust demand environment has encouraged AMD to raise guidance substantially.</p>\n<p>There are three reasons why AMD can turn in better-than-expected results: a short supply of graphics cards leading to a sharp spike in prices, market share gains against<b>Intel</b>(NASDAQ:INTC)in the server and PC processor markets, and the rapidly growing sales of the latest gaming consoles.</p>\n<p>AMD's computing and graphics segment, which recorded 46% year-over-year revenue growth in the first quarter to $2.1 billion and accounted for nearly 61% of the total revenue, is poised to benefit from two of those tailwinds. According to AMD, a mix of higher sales volumes and stronger average selling prices (ASPs) of the Ryzen CPU (central processing unit) and Radeon GPU (graphics processing unit) products drove the segment's impressive growth.</p>\n<p>For instance, sales of AMD's Radeon 6000 series high-end GPUs doubled&nbsp;quarter over quarter. AMD says that this is just the beginning as the Radeon 6000 seriessales could\"grow significantly over the coming quarters as we ramp production,\" indicating that the company is trying to address the problem of short supply. Even better, the GPU market is poised for long-term growth. Jon Peddie Research forecasts&nbsp;sales of discrete graphics cards to hit $54 billion in 2025 from $23.6 billion last year.</p>\n<p>AMD is one of the two major players in this space, holding a market share of nearly&nbsp;20%. It is trying to make a bigger dent in the market with new technologies, so don't be surprised to see it win big from GPUs in the future. Share prices of both companies have headed south so far in 2021.\nBut that may not be the case forever as Cirrus Logic and AMD are sitting on a bunch of terrific growth drivers that could turn their stock price fortunes around in the second half of the year.\nLet's look at the reasons why investors might be wise to put down $1,000 on these two stocks right now.\nAAPLDATA BY YCHARTS\n1. Cirrus Logic\nIt is no secret that Apple's(NASDAQ:AAPL)5G-enabled iPhone 12 models have beena huge hitamong customers, sending the smartphone giant's revenue and earnings north ina spectacular manner. Cirrus Logic hasreaped the benefitsof the same as Apple is the chipmaker's largest source of revenue, accounting for 76% of the top line last quarter. The iPhone maker had produced 83% of Cirrus' total revenue in fiscal 2021 that ended in March.\nNot surprisingly, Cirrus' top and bottom lines stepped on the gas in the second half of 2020 after showing signs of plateauing earlier last year. The company delivered $780 million in revenue in the second half of fiscal 2021 that ended in March this year, up 19% year over year.\nCRUS REVENUE (TTM)DATA BY YCHARTS\nHowever, Cirrus investors were in for a scare after the company's guidance for the first quarter of fiscal 2022, which ends this month,failed to meet expectations. The chipmaker blamed supply chain issues for its failure to meet expectations as it was unable to meet the robust end-market demand. Additionally, Apple may have rolled back orders for the iPhone 12 series as the supply chain is already in motion to roll out this year's models.\nHowever, Cirrus did provide a hint that its business will pick up the pace in the second half of the year. CEO John Forsyth said on the Aprilearnings conference call:\n\n In the coming months, we will begin shipping new technologies to our customers across a range of end devices, including important new content in the high-performance mixed-signal category. And based on these factors, we expect to accelerate revenue growth in FY 2022.\n\nCirrus' confidence isn't misplaced as its largest customer is expected to witness a big boom in sales. Reports suggest that Apple's suppliers have already started making components for this year's iPhones. What's more, the company is expected to bump its initial production of the 2021 iPhone lineup by 25% to 100 million units as compared to the iPhone 12's initial order size of 80 million units, according to Dan Ives of Wedbush. He also adds that Apple could finish 2021 with nearly 250 million units in sales, which would be its highest since 231 million sold in 2015.\nThe iPhone's terrific momentum is expected to continue in 2022. Juniper Research estimates that Apple could sell $200 billion worth of iPhones next year, which doesn't look like a very ambitious target as the company has generated over $113 billion in iPhone revenue over the past six months.\nThese tailwinds should help Cirrus shares break out from their mediocrity and set the market on fire in the future. So, investors looking to add agrowth stockto their portfolio should seriously consider Cirrus Logic as it trades at an attractive forward earnings multiple of just 15.\n2. AMD\nIt is startling to see AMD stock taking a beating in 2021 considering the pace at which the chipmaker has been growing. The companydelivered outstanding resultsin 2020 and it has continued in the same vein in 2021, with revenue increasing a whopping 93% in the first quarter to $3.45 billion.\nAMD aims to clock 50% revenue growth this year, which would be better than its 2020 revenue increase of 45%. However, AMD can exceed its own expectations. The company had given investors a glimpse of the same when it reported its first-quarter results in April and raised its full-year revenue guidance. It was originally anticipating a 37% year-over-year increase in 2021 revenue, but a robust demand environment has encouraged AMD to raise guidance substantially.\nThere are three reasons why AMD can turn in better-than-expected results: a short supply of graphics cards leading to a sharp spike in prices, market share gains againstIntel(NASDAQ:INTC)in the server and PC processor markets, and the rapidly growing sales of the latest gaming consoles.\nAMD's computing and graphics segment, which recorded 46% year-over-year revenue growth in the first quarter to $2.1 billion and accounted for nearly 61% of the total revenue, is poised to benefit from two of those tailwinds. According to AMD, a mix of higher sales volumes and stronger average selling prices (ASPs) of the Ryzen CPU (central processing unit) and Radeon GPU (graphics processing unit) products drove the segment's impressive growth.\nFor instance, sales of AMD's Radeon 6000 series high-end GPUs doubled quarter over quarter. AMD says that this is just the beginning as the Radeon 6000 seriessales could\"grow significantly over the coming quarters as we ramp production,\" indicating that the company is trying to address the problem of short supply. Even better, the GPU market is poised for long-term growth. Jon Peddie Research forecasts sales of discrete graphics cards to hit $54 billion in 2025 from $23.6 billion last year.\nAMD is one of the two major players in this space, holding a market share of nearly 20%. On a year-over-year basis, Adobe earnings rose 24% while sales climbed 23%.</p>\n<p>For the current quarter, Adobe expects to earn an adjusted $3 a share, up 17%, on sales of $3.88 billion, up 20%.</p>\n<h2>ADBE Stock Rises After Earnings Report</h2>\n<p>In morning trading on the stock market today, ADBE stock advanced 2.2%, near 563.35. Earlier in the session, ADBE stock notched a record high 570.</p>\n<p>\"All three of our businesses — Creative Cloud, Document Cloud and <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/EXP.AU\">Experience</a> Cloud — just killed it this quarter with excellent performance,\" Chief Financial Officer John Murphy told Investor's Business Daily. \"Content creation and customer experience engagement in personalized ways are resonating across all of our businesses. And it's really driving the momentum and acceleration in the business.\"</p>\n<p>That momentum will continue in the company's seasonally weaker fiscal third quarter, Murphy said. As a result of the machine, medical professionals can charge higher fees in quick time, increasing margins and reducing costs.</p>\n<p>The company has made only&nbsp;one sale; to Jason Berg, founder, and president of Guardian Veterinary Specialists, a 29,000-square-foot hospital in Brewster, New York.</p>\n<p>Reddit momentum can only help so much. To that end, it has&nbsp;inked a deal with Miller Veterinary Supply, one of America’s oldest wholesale distributors of pet supplies to veterinarians, to market Truforma.</p>\n<p>At the end of 2020, ZOM stock traded for around 23 cents per share. It went as high as $2.91 per share but is now trading under a buck. However, if last week is any indication, you should not treat this stock lightly.</p>\n<p><b>Ideanomics (IDEX)</b></p>\n<p>Considering the popularity of electric vehicle (EV) stocks from mid-2020 onwards, it is not surprising Ideanomics has made its way onto this list of penny stocks.</p>\n<p>Analyzing the company is a tough task. Professional wrestling scion Shane McMahon founded Ideanomics as a financial technology company in 2004. At that time, it was known as&nbsp;<b>China Broadband</b>. A lot of water has passed under the bridge since then and IDEX has gone through several iterations, pivoting in and out of high growth industries at a rapid pace. This has earned the company an unenviable position.</p>\n<p>Ideanomics operates two main divisions, Mobile Energy Global and Ideanomics Capital. The former helps customers get access to commercial electric vehicles, and the other offers fintech products.</p>\n<p>Again, it’s important to highlight Ideanomics is not a fundamentally sound company. However, considering the areas in which it invests, Reddit users will not lose interest in this one anytime soon.</p>\n<p><b>Genius Brands (GNUS)</b></p>\n<p>CEO Andy Heyward believes Genius Brands can become the&nbsp;<b>Netflix</b>&nbsp;(NASDAQ:<b>NFLX</b>) of children’s TV. That is an ambitious claim. However, if any company can pull it off, it stands to make a substantial amount of money.</p>\n<p>For now, Genius Brands does not have the numbers. What it does have our partnerships and licensing agreements with prominent brand names like Stan Lee, Arnold Schwarzenegger, to name a few. In fact, Schwarzenegger ha&nbsp;sinked an agreement&nbsp;to be a “significant investor,” in the kid’s media company.</p>\n<p>The company has made it a habit of sorts to issue fluff press releases that inevitably leads to a bump in the share price. It’s a classic case of “Sell the Sizzle, Not the Steak.” But in the long run, we need to see some traction on the bottom line.</p>\n<p><b>Naked Brand (NAKD)</b></p>\n<p>Reddit has acted like Santa Claus for a number of companies. However, there are few who will be as thankful as Naked Brand. The New Zealand-based company owes its resurgence largely to the r/WallStreetBets subreddit forum.</p>\n<p>At this point, I was fully expecting the company to desist, but in a show of power, the retail investors have given this intimate apparel retailer a new lease on life. Now, NAKD is back in full force and has put into motion a plan to&nbsp;transform itself&nbsp;into a digital enterprise instead of a brick-and-mortar business in Australia and New Zealand.</p>\n<p>Considering Reddit loved this penny stock even before this initiative, I can only imagine how high the stock can go now that there is a semblance of a story to back their ambitions.</p>\n<p><b>Globalstar (GSAT)</b></p>\n<p>You might have not heard of Globalstar but it’s a pretty solid tech penny stock. It offers two-way voice and data devices such as mobile voice and data satellite communications products.</p>\n<p>There are several names on a typical list of penny stocks that do not offer much of a story. However, that is not the case with Globalstar, it provides products and services that we use in our daily lives such as personal tracking, emergency location, and messaging solutions.</p>\n<p>Even without the Reddit-induced price action, this is a great company to have in your portfolio.</p>\n<p><b>Nokia (NOK)</b></p>\n<p>Many thought the Nokia story was over after it lost its epic smartphone battle with&nbsp;<b>Apple</b>(NASDAQ:<b><u>AAPL</u></b>). On the contrary, the Finnish multinational telecommunications company has not transformed itself into a 5G giant.</p>\n<p>In the last decade, Nokia has had several ups and downs. New CEO Pekka Lundmark has said that he wants to work against “complacency and accepting the status quo.” Those are bold words and harken back to the unfortunate circumstances that the multinational had to face as a result of its smartphone business debacle.</p>\n<p>However, investors can rest easy this time around. The company is aggressively buying the 5G spectrum, capital expenditures are healthy and its quarterly earnings are also moving in the right direction.</p>\n<p>Considering all of this, NOK stock becomes one of the safest investments out there.</p>\n<p><b>Applied Genetic Technologies (AGTC)</b></p>\n<p>Applied Genetic Technologies is a biotechnology company that utilizes a&nbsp;proprietary gene therapy platform&nbsp;to produce genetic therapies for patients. It was founded in 1999 and has meandered along since then.</p>\n<p>However, Redditors took an interest in the company recently and pushed up the share price to $9.67 a pop. As I write this, the stock is trading under five bucks again, highlighting the perils of investing in Reddit stocks.</p>\n<p>On a more positive note, the company recently&nbsp;announced additional data&nbsp;from its ongoing X-linked retinitis pigmentosa (XLRP) gene therapy Phase 1/2 trial. The data was positive, indicating an improved, durable response in retinal sensitivity.</p>\n<p>Like most Reddit penny stocks, AGTC is highly sensitive to news releases. Now, NAKD is back in full force and has put into motion a plan to transform itself into a digital enterprise instead of a brick-and-mortar business in Australia and New Zealand.\nConsidering Reddit loved this penny stock even before this initiative, I can only imagine how high the stock can go now that there is a semblance of a story to back their ambitions.\nGlobalstar (GSAT)\nYou might have not heard of Globalstar but it’s a pretty solid tech penny stock. Firstly, the business is very sticky, with large multinational corporations rarely undergoing the risky process of migrating their ERP systems from one vendor to another. While this means that occasionally Mr. Ellison rants at his competitors, the last conference call was unusual. This creates significant competitive advantage for the company and makes it one of the most profitable large cap entities in the cloud. High and sustainable profitability on the other hand allows the management to reinvest significant amounts back into the business and not rely on constant M&amp;A deals to inflate its topline. Wall Street expects the e-commerce giant to increase EPS by a factor of four in the next five years. Apple, on the other hand, is project to “only” double earnings in the same period.</p>\n<p>By 2025, this is what analysts expect of each company’s bottom line, and what the stock’s P/E would be if share prices remained unchanged:</p>\n<ul>\n <li><b>Amazon</b>: 2025 EPS of $172.30, for a P/E of<b>20.4</b>times</li>\n <li><b>Apple</b>: fiscal 2025 EPS of $6.30, for a P/E of<b>21.2</b>times</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Given enough time and assuming that current earnings projections are close enough to accurate, Amazon tends to become a less aggressively valued stock by the year. Maybe one day, in the not-too-distant future, shares could even start to look more appealing to value investors.</p>\n<p><b>Which is the best bet?</b></p>\n<p>If Amazon and Apple are valued at roughly the same 2025 P/E, one fair question to ask is: which stock might perform best in the next five years? I can use the earnings multiple as a guide to think through this question.</p>\n<p>From the P/E formula, one can derive the following: future stock price is determined by the company’s earnings delivered (the denominator “E”) and how much investors are willing to pay for those earnings (the valuation multiple). Therefore, in the Amazon vs. Apple race to 2025, whichever does best at delivering EPS above consensus and/or commanding a richer earnings multiple wins.</p>\n<p>Clearly, this is open for debate since the future in uncertain. But I believe that Amazon stock has a better chance of producing higher gains than Apple through 2025.</p>\n<p>First, I find it highly unlikely that AMZN’s earnings multiple will converge from the 60s of today to the low 20s in 2025. This would only be feasible if the company’s growth opportunities dried out quickly, which I am not counting on. On the other hand, Apple’s P/E is more likely to stay around 20 to 25 times, given the more mature profile of the company relative to Amazon.</p>\n<p>This is not to say that I expect Amazon’s P/E to expand from 64 times. The opposite is more likely to happen, as the company ages. But if the stock is valued at, say, 40 times EPS in 2025, Amazon would not even need to deliver results beyond expectations to see its stock price double in five years.</p>\n<p>Regarding consensus, I also think that Amazon can beat expectations by a wider margin than Apple could. The e-commerce giant has been more aggressive at investing back in the business. The green- and brown-field revenue growth opportunities in e-commerce and cloud seem better.</p>\n<p>In addition, Amazon’s margins could expand substantially (see five-year trend below), if or once the company’s online retail business gets closer to maturity. That funding doesn't appear to have bought much voting power in the company, though.</p><p>UiPath's Class B shares carry 35 votes, while Class A shares -- being offered in the IPO -- carry one vote. The S-1 filing revealed that CEO Dines holds 100% of the Class B shares and 6.5% of the Class A shares, for 88.1% of the voting power.</p><p>The only entity that comes close to that is venture-capital firm Accel, which began building its stake in 2017, and now claims about 101 million Class A shares, or 24% of those shares, for 3.1% of the voting power. Earlybird Management, with 9.5% of Class A shares, commands 1.2% of the votes.</p><p><b>The company has reined in expenses</b></p><p>For the fiscal year 2021 ended Jan. 30, the company booked $607.6 million in revenue for a loss of $92.4 million, compared with $336.2 million in revenue for a loss of $519.9 million in fiscal 2020. In 2018, UiPath reported fiscal 2019 revenue of $148.5 million and a loss of $261.6 million.</p><p>As revenue rose 81% for fiscal 2021, UiPath reduced sales and marketing costs by 21%, research and development costs by 16%, and general and administrative expenses by 10%.</p><p><b>No specific plans for the funds</b></p><p>If underwriters exercise all option for shares in the offering, UiPath expects to bring in net proceeds of about $1.34 billion, based on a $56 stock price.
