Apple is right to stop its social media spend. Musk is an idiot! "When people install an app from the App Store, they want to feel confident that it’s safe to do so -- that the app doesn’t contain upsetting or offensive content, won’t damage their device, and isn’t likely to cause physical harm from its use," the iPhone maker says in the Apple Store guidelines. "If you’re looking to shock and offend people, the App Store isn’t the right place for your app."

On the other hand, he notes that chip stocks tend to bottom six to 12 months before fundamentals -- and that the group could begin to perform better in the third quarter. He advises playing three structural trends: the growth of cloud computing, the opportunity in electric and autonomous vehicles, and the growth in capital spending to expand chip-making capacity.

Everyone should take note is this excerpt when reading any news:The media -- of which I have been a member for roughly 30 years -- do not generally help calm the short-term hysteria.People don't get paid to go on cable-news channels to express reasoned long-term opinions. They're supposed to fire off hot takes, which make it seem as if the Fed's rate move or the monthly jobs number has a huge impact on the stock market.

It is silly to compare MSFT's PE ratio to AMZN's price to sales ratio. I'm sure we've all been told neverto compare apples and oranges, and for that matter durians and bananas, etc. So don't waste time with this article. Both are great companies. For me, MSFT has the edge and is truly global. AMZN isn't so widely used except in a few countries outside of the US
Good thing that the writer transparently revealed BABA as his third largest position. Very often articles are written to influence readers into certain emotions and actions. This is something we all need to be aware of when reading articles to have a balanced perspective and make the right decisions. That said, I think BABA is a great buy at <$100. Have been averaging down and will do so if it drops further.
This is an opinion of one writer with assumptions to justify his views. I'm not saying that if recession hits, Apple won't be affected. But remember it's a US$1t company and even if it stays that way, that'snot a bad thing. Users of iPhones and apple products are not Low income earners. Many would continue to buy and replace. So the headline that Apple earnings are likely to bomb is nothing but fear-mongering. Shame on you, lousy SeekingAlpha!

As an investor in Didi, I'm wondering when will my investment make a return. The stock has been absolutely hammered. Longer term, ride sharing is also a small 5% margin business. And with interest rates rising...
While all of the Fed members appear intent on continuing to increase rates from the current 3.0%-3.25% range, there are important disagreements too. For instance, the “dot-plots” that track where Fed officials see economic data and interest rates in the future show that members are evenly split between those who expect Federal Funds rates to peak at 4.75% next year, and those who see 4.5% and 4.25% as the top rates. Those might seem like relatively small differences, but they could make a big difference in the market, given how closely investors are watching rates. If Fed officials start leaning toward more dovish policy—raising interest rates more gradually—the market is likely to rise. But that still feels like a long shot.
