After watching <b>Bitcoin</b> (CRYPTO:BTC) rise from $1 to $40,000 in a little over a decade, and seeing <b>Dogecoin</b> (CRYPTO:DOGE) gallop higher by 27,000% in a six-month span, investors are feeling compelled to chase the momentum in the crypto space.</p>\n<p>Unfortunately, this could prove to be a huge mistake.</p>\n<p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/e84aa34310d37f1ab30212f9dcf1bf0d\" tg-width=\"700\" tg-height=\"466\"><span>Image source: Getty Images.</span></p>\n<h2>The cryptocurrency bubble is eventually going to burst</h2>\n<p>While there's no denying that cryptocurrency has delivered some game-changing returns, most of this upside has been built on unsubstantiated hype. In other words, some folks view tokens like Bitcoin and Dogecoin as the future global currencies, but virtually nothing has suggested that this will come to fruition.</p>\n<p>The reality is that digital currencies are virtually useless outside of a cryptocurrency exchange. Bitcoin has been stuck handling 250,000 to 300,000 transactions daily for years, while Dogecoin has been averaging closer to 30,000 daily transactions of late. For comparison's sake, payment-processing giants <b><a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/V\">Visa</a></b>&nbsp;and <b>Mastercard</b>&nbsp;handled 700 million transactions daily on a combined basis in 2018.</p>\n<p>To build on this point, Fundera estimated earlier this year that only around 15,200 businesses worldwide accepted Bitcoin. Meanwhile, online business directory Cryptwerk finds that Dogecoin is accepted by 1,400 companies. For context, there are more than 32 million businesses in the U.S., and an estimated 582 million entrepreneurs worldwide. There simply isn't the broad-based adoption that's being hyped by cryptocurrency supporters.</p>\n<p>At the same time, blockchain technology is caught in a Catch-22. Blockchain being the transparent and immutable underlying ledger of digital currencies that logs transactions. No business is willing to abandon time-tested infrastructure in favor of blockchain until it's demonstrated that blockchain can be scaled in the real world. At the same time, there won't be any evidence that blockchain is revolutionary if no businesses are willing to be an early stage guinea pig, so to speak.</p>\n<p>History unequivocally shows that all bubbles eventually burst, without exception. That's the fate awaiting cryptocurrencies.</p>\n<h2>Dump digital currencies in favor of this fast-growing trio</h2>\n<p>Rather than put your money to work in an asset class that's being driven by hype and emotion, my suggestion would be to buy the following trio of supercharged stocks. If you buy stakes in innovative businesses whose products and services have growing real-world application, and you hold these stakes for long periods of time, you'll very likely get rich.</p>\n<p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/16ca48e46c5ed915bdfaeb115d44e553\" tg-width=\"700\" tg-height=\"467\"><span>Image source: Getty Images.</span></p>\n<h2>Etsy</h2>\n<p>To begin with, e-commerce platform <b>Etsy</b> (NASDAQ:ETSY) will have long-term investors forgetting all about the volatility and hype associated with digital currencies.</p>\n<p>To state the obvious, Etsy was a clear winner of the coronavirus pandemic. With people stuck in their homes, many turned online to buy basic-need and discretionary goods. For Etsy, this included a healthy uptick in sales from facial coverings. But the Etsy platform has <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/AONE\">one</a> key advantage that not even <b>Amazon</b>&nbsp;looks to be a threat to: personalization.</p>\n<p>Etsy's platform is built on the idea of putting customers in contact with small merchants who can, if needed, customize their order. Etsy's collection of merchants focuses on personal engagement and uniqueness that shoppers simply won't find on bigger e-commerce platforms. The proof is in the pudding that Etsy's platform is resonating with shoppers. Habitual buyer spending -- those who purchased at least six separate times totaling more than $200, in aggregate, over the trailing year -- has been rocketing higher. Habitual buyers spent 205% more in the first quarter of 2021 than they did in the prior-year quarter.</p>\n<p>Since Etsy generates the bulk of its revenue from merchant ads, the company has also been aggressively reinvesting in its platform to streamline searches and keep users engaged. Last year, it introduced listing videos to promote products, and it's been giving its smaller merchants greater access to analytic tools.</p>\n<p>It's not out of the question that Etsy triples its annual revenue by mid-decade.</p>\n<p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/95488cfb7d1265a9ff2f104768cae97b\" tg-width=\"700\" tg-height=\"464\"><span>Image source: Getty Images.</span></p>\n<h2>Sea Limited</h2>\n<p>Another supercharged growth stock that can make investors rich is Singapore-based <b>Sea Limited</b> (NYSE:SE). Even though Sea is far from inexpensive, the premium you'd be paying takes into account that it has three exceptionally fast-growing operating segments.</p>\n<p>For the time being, Sea is generating virtually all of its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) from its gaming division. Similar to online shopping, gaming benefited notably from people being stuck in their homes. Since Sea's mobile games target global audiences, and the pandemic is nowhere near over in many parts of the world, demand for gaming entertainment will likely remain robust. Over the past year (through the end of March), quarterly active paying users grew by 124%, with 12.3% of the company's total gamers now paying to play.</p>\n<p>Over the long run, Sea's crown jewel should be its e-commerce platform Shopee, which is consistently the most-popular shopping download in Southeastern Asia, and is gaining significant traction in Brazil. With a focus on emerging markets and regions where the middle class is growing at an incredible rate, Shopee saw gross orders jump 153% in the first quarter, with the gross merchandise value of these orders doubling to $12.6 billion. This is just the tip of the iceberg.</p>\n<p>Lastly, Sea's digital financial services division is bringing mobile wallet services to underbanked regions. Mobile wallet payment volume is on pace to potentially surpass $14 billion in 2021, with more than 26 million paying customers in Q1.</p>\n<p>If all goes well, Sea Limited's revenue could possibly quintuple over the next four years.</p>\n<p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/e68ecb34d6e4fd6f7dc599908229a09a\" tg-width=\"700\" tg-height=\"449\"><span>Image source: Getty Images.</span></p>\n<h2>CrowdStrike Holdings</h2>\n<p>Cybersecurity stock <b>CrowdStrike Holdings</b> (NASDAQ:CRWD) is a third supercharged growth company that can easily outpace the returns from the cryptocurrency industry over the long run.</p>\n<p>Cybersecurity might not be the fastest-growing industry over the next decade, but it could very well be the safest double-digit growth opportunity. With more businesses than ever shifting their data online and into the cloud due to the pandemic, the importance of protecting enterprise and consumer data is greater than ever before. In short, demand for third-party cybersecurity solutions providers is soaring.</p>\n<p>While there is no shortage of cybersecurity specialists to choose from, what sets CrowdStrike apart is its cloud-native Falcon platform. Being built in the cloud, and relying on artificial intelligence, Falcon oversees approximately 6 trillion events each week. This is to say that CrowdStrike's core platform is getting smarter at recognizing and responding to potential threats over time. And in many instances, CrowdStrike's solutions are more efficient and cost-effective than on-premises security options.</p>\n<p>It's plainly evident from the company's operating results that Falcon is resonating with enterprise customers. It's been able to retain 98% of its customers for two consecutive years, and existing clients have spent between 23% and 47% more on a year-over-year basis for 12 straight quarters. Arguably even more impressive is that 64% of customers have purchased four or more cloud-module subscriptions, which is up from 9% just four years ago. Even though Sea is far from inexpensive, the premium you'd be paying takes into account that it has three exceptionally fast-growing operating segments.\nFor the time being, Sea is generating virtually all of its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) from its gaming division. Similar to online shopping, gaming benefited notably from people being stuck in their homes. Since Sea's mobile games target global audiences, and the pandemic is nowhere near over in many parts of the world, demand for gaming entertainment will likely remain robust. Over the past year (through the end of March), quarterly active paying users grew by 124%, with 12.3% of the company's total gamers now paying to play.\nOver the long run, Sea's crown jewel should be its e-commerce platform Shopee, which is consistently the most-popular shopping download in Southeastern Asia, and is gaining significant traction in Brazil. With a focus on emerging markets and regions where the middle class is growing at an incredible rate, Shopee saw gross orders jump 153% in the first quarter, with the gross merchandise value of these orders doubling to $12.6 billion. meeting Wednesday, could start preliminary discussions about scaling back the unprecedented bond-buying programs that aided the economy during the pandemic. Some market participants believe it’s still too soon for the central bank to signal such a tapering action, while others think the Fed will be able to find a happy medium that won’t upset the markets.\nEach scenario has different investing implications as they are expected to make big moves across asset classes.\nHere’s a playbook for traders on every scenario from the central bank’s key meeting.\nIf the Fed signals it’s staying with easy policies\nThe Fed could reiterate its transitory stance on inflation, ignoring the pick-up in price pressures reflected in recent economic data. If the central bank says its not time to remove accommodative policies and it’s not concerned about inflation, investors should stick with hedges against rising prices like commodities and stocks with high pricing power, investment banks found.\nBank of America screened S&P 500 companies that its analysts believe have the most pricing power and ability to expand margins at times of rising prices. The stocks include a few chipmakers —Nvidia,Texas InstrumentsandBroadcom— as well as consumer plays likeHome Depot,NikeandPepsiCo.Energy dividend payerExxon Mobilis also on the list.\nUBS also developed a framework for scoring corporate pricing agility, which considers pricing power, margin momentum and input cost exposure. For pricing power, UBS quantified the extent to which a company can raise prices over and above costs. For margin momentum, UBS tracked corporate pricing trends using its proprietary pricing mapping.\nFor input cost exposure, UBS searched for companies with negative sentiment around commodity and transport costs on earnings calls.\n\nBillionaire hedge fund manager Paul Tudor Jones said earlier this week that investors should “go all in on the inflation trades” if the Fed keeps ignoring higher prices.\n“If they treat these numbers — which were material events, they were very material —if they treat them with nonchalance, I think it’s just a green light to bet heavily on every inflation trade,” Tudor Jones said on “Squawk Box”on Monday.\n“If they say, ‘We’re on path, things are good,’ then I would just go all in on the inflation trades. I’d probably buy commodities, buy crypto, buy gold,” added Tudor Jones, who called the stock market crash in 1987.\nThe legendary investor believe cryptocurrencies and other commodities are favorable inflation hedges. Other than buying the commodities outright, investors could also bet on related exchange-traded funds, like gold miner ETFs.\nThe VanEck Vectors Gold Miners ETF (GDX),the biggest gold miner ETF with more than $14 billion in assets under management, has outperformed the populargold ETF GLDso far this year.\nIf the Fed signals it’s time to start removing easy policies\nAnother widely speculated scenario is for the Fed to signal that it’s nearing the time to dial back easy policy saying it will start tapering soon and move up its forecast for a rate increase. Under such a case where the central bank isn’t sufficiently dovish, many expect bond yields to shoot higher.\n“It could easily move longer yields higher,” said Kristina Hooper, Invesco’s chief global market strategist. “A revised dot plot could be one way to do that if it shows the anticipation of earlier or more aggressive rate hikes. And Fed Chair Jay Powell could easily push rates up if he shares that the Fed has started discussing tapering or suggests tapering could start in the next several months.”\nTudor Jones warned that this scenario could lead to another taper tantrum that could cause a correction in stocks.\n“If they course correct, if they say, ‘We’ve got incoming data, we’ve accomplished our mission or we’re on the way very rapidly to accomplishing our mission on employment,’ then you’re going to get a taper tantrum,”Tudor Jones said on Monday. “You’re going to get a sell-off in fixed income. You’re going to get a correction in stocks.”\nCNBC Pro combed through the returns of all S&P 500 stocks during the last five significant spikes in the 10-year Treasury yield. These five periods of a sharp move in rates occurred between 2003 and 2006, 2008 and 2009, 2012 and 2013, 2016 and 2018, and 2020 through now.\nAfter we found the stocks that beat the market every time, we looked for the names that are well-loved by analysts on Wall Street today. The stocks’ average gains during those rising interest rate periods are listed below, along with the percentage of analysts with buy ratings right now.\n\nBank of America’s head of U.S. equity and quantitative strategy Savita Subramanian is advising clients to buy high-quality stocks when tapering nears. High-quality stocks have a “B+” or better S&P quality rating.\nSubramanian said during the 2013 taper tantrum, high-quality names outperformed their low-quality counterparts by 1.3 percentage points from peak to trough in May and June.\nA hint at removing stimulus could also hurt stocks that are most sensitive to the economic recovery, including cyclicals like financials, energy and materials.\n“More hawkish = lower growth. Cyclicals should underperform,” Dennis DeBusschere, macro research analyst at Evercore ISI, said in a note. “The fact that hawkish concerns are being brought up at the same time people believe the reflation trade is in trouble and you have a poor Cyclical backdrop.”\nSo far in 2021, the energy sector has been the biggest winner among the 11 S&P 500 groupings, up 46%. Financials and real estate both gained more than 20% this year.\nIf the Fed makes both camps happy\nA third scenario could occur in which the Fed signals that it is concerned about inflation, but the central bank is not yet ready to taper.\nIf Fed chair Jerome Powell admits the discussion of tapering but nothing has been decided, then the market will likely see a modest rally, led by tech stocks, according to Tom Essaye, founder of the Sevens Report.\n“This is essentially the outcome that Powell and the Fed have been telegraphing for the past several weeks,” Essaye said. “This would be a continuation of the past two weeks’ Goldilocks market outlook. This outcome would help the S&P 500 extend last week’s breakout.”\nInvestors have been rotating back to tech as of late with bond yields coming down. The tech-heavyNasdaq Compositehas rallied about 2.5% this month, hitting a record close on Monday, its first all-time high since April 26. In comparison, the S&P 500 has risen just under 1% in June.\n“This is what the Fed has been doing for the last several months — warning that an inflation surge was coming but that it is transitory so no need to taper,” Jim Paulsen, chief investment strategist at the Leuthold Group, told CNBC. “Moreover, this is probably the most expected outcome from the Fed meeting.”\n“Yes, there may be comments by members that the time to start talking about tapering is here, but I think Powell will continue to suggest that inflation is up as expected but is not yet acting any differently than anticipated,” added Paulsen.\nThis year’s pullback in tech stocks has opened some opportunities in high-quality names that are now trading at a discount, according to top-rated technology analyst Toni Sacconaghi of Bernstein.\nThe Wall Street firm found several technology stocks that have inexpensive valuations and are high in quality. Bernstein screened for the cheapest tech names based on their forward price-to-earnings ratio. Some market participants believe it’s still too soon for the central bank to signal such a tapering action, while others think the Fed will be able to find a happy medium that won’t upset the markets.\nEach scenario has different investing implications as they are expected to make big moves across asset classes.\nHere’s a playbook for traders on every scenario from the central bank’s key meeting.\nIf the Fed signals it’s staying with easy policies\nThe Fed could reiterate its transitory stance on inflation, ignoring the pick-up in price pressures reflected in recent economic data. If the central bank says its not time to remove accommodative policies and it’s not concerned about inflation, investors should stick with hedges against rising prices like commodities and stocks with high pricing power, investment banks found.\nBank of America screened S&P 500 companies that its analysts believe have the most pricing power and ability to expand margins at times of rising prices. The stocks include a few chipmakers —Nvidia,Texas InstrumentsandBroadcom— as well as consumer plays likeHome Depot,NikeandPepsiCo.Energy dividend payerExxon Mobilis also on the list.\nUBS also developed a framework for scoring corporate pricing agility, which considers pricing power, margin momentum and input cost exposure. For pricing power, UBS quantified the extent to which a company can raise prices over and above costs. For margin momentum, UBS tracked corporate pricing trends using its proprietary pricing mapping.\nFor input cost exposure, UBS searched for companies with negative sentiment around commodity and transport costs on earnings calls.\n\nBillionaire hedge fund manager Paul Tudor Jones said earlier this week that investors should “go all in on the inflation trades” if the Fed keeps ignoring higher prices.\n“If they treat these numbers — which were material events, they were very material —if they treat them with nonchalance, I think it’s just a green light to bet heavily on every inflation trade,” Tudor Jones said on “Squawk Box”on Monday.\n“If they say, ‘We’re on path, things are good,’ then I would just go all in on the inflation trades. I’d probably buy commodities, buy crypto, buy gold,” added Tudor Jones, who called the stock market crash in 1987.\nThe legendary investor believe cryptocurrencies and other commodities are favorable inflation hedges. Other than buying the commodities outright, investors could also bet on related exchange-traded funds, like gold miner ETFs.\nThe VanEck Vectors Gold Miners ETF (GDX),the biggest gold miner ETF with more than $14 billion in assets under management, has outperformed the populargold ETF GLDso far this year.\nIf the Fed signals it’s time to start removing easy policies\nAnother widely speculated scenario is for the Fed to signal that it’s nearing the time to dial back easy policy saying it will start tapering soon and move up its forecast for a rate increase. Under such a case where the central bank isn’t sufficiently dovish, many expect bond yields to shoot higher.\n“It could easily move longer yields higher,” said Kristina Hooper, Invesco’s chief global market strategist. “A revised dot plot could be one way to do that if it shows the anticipation of earlier or more aggressive rate hikes. And Fed Chair Jay Powell could easily push rates up if he shares that the Fed has started discussing tapering or suggests tapering could start in the next several months.”\nTudor Jones warned that this scenario could lead to another taper tantrum that could cause a correction in stocks.\n“If they course correct, if they say, ‘We’ve got incoming data, we’ve accomplished our mission or we’re on the way very rapidly to accomplishing our mission on employment,’ then you’re going to get a taper tantrum,”Tudor Jones said on Monday. “You’re going to get a sell-off in fixed income. You’re going to get a correction in stocks.”\nCNBC Pro combed through the returns of all S&P 500 stocks during the last five significant spikes in the 10-year Treasury yield. These five periods of a sharp move in rates occurred between 2003 and 2006, 2008 and 2009, 2012 and 2013, 2016 and 2018, and 2020 through now.\nAfter we found the stocks that beat the market every time, we looked for the names that are well-loved by analysts on Wall Street today. The stocks’ average gains during those rising interest rate periods are listed below, along with the percentage of analysts with buy ratings right now.\n\nBank of America’s head of U.S. equity and quantitative strategy Savita Subramanian is advising clients to buy high-quality stocks when tapering nears. High-quality stocks have a “B+” or better S&P quality rating.\nSubramanian said during the 2013 taper tantrum, high-quality names outperformed their low-quality counterparts by 1.3 percentage points from peak to trough in May and June.\nA hint at removing stimulus could also hurt stocks that are most sensitive to the economic recovery, including cyclicals like financials, energy and materials.\n“More hawkish = lower growth. Cyclicals should underperform,” Dennis DeBusschere, macro research analyst at Evercore ISI, said in a note. “The fact that hawkish concerns are being brought up at the same time people believe the reflation trade is in trouble and you have a poor Cyclical backdrop.”\nSo far in 2021, the energy sector has been the biggest winner among the 11 S&P 500 groupings, up 46%. Financials and real estate both gained more than 20% this year.\nIf the Fed makes both camps happy\nA third scenario could occur in which the Fed signals that it is concerned about inflation, but the central bank is not yet ready to taper.\nIf Fed chair Jerome Powell admits the discussion of tapering but nothing has been decided, then the market will likely see a modest rally, led by tech stocks, according to Tom Essaye, founder of the Sevens Report.\n“This is essentially the outcome that Powell and the Fed have been telegraphing for the past several weeks,” Essaye said. “This would be a continuation of the past two weeks’ Goldilocks market outlook. This outcome would help the S&P 500 extend last week’s breakout.”\nInvestors have been rotating back to tech as of late with bond yields coming down. The tech-heavyNasdaq Compositehas rallied about 2.5% this month, hitting a record close on Monday, its first all-time high since April 26. In comparison, the S&P 500 has risen just under 1% in June.\n“This is what the Fed has been doing for the last several months — warning that an inflation surge was coming but that it is transitory so no need to taper,” Jim Paulsen, chief investment strategist at the Leuthold Group, told CNBC. “Moreover, this is probably the most expected outcome from the Fed meeting.”\n“Yes, there may be comments by members that the time to start talking about tapering is here, but I think Powell will continue to suggest that inflation is up as expected but is not yet acting any differently than anticipated,” added Paulsen.\nThis year’s pullback in tech stocks has opened some opportunities in high-quality names that are now trading at a discount, according to top-rated technology analyst Toni Sacconaghi of Bernstein.\nThe Wall Street firm found several technology stocks that have inexpensive valuations and are high in quality. But there are also fundamentally strong names where initiating a short position can be risky. These are the so called unshortable stocks.</p>\n<p>True,&nbsp;Short squeeze rallies have delivered multi-fold returns for investors.<b>AMC Entertainment</b>(NYSE:<b><u>AMC</u></b>) is the recent case of a short squeeze rally. However, this does not change the fact that some stocks are worth going short. It’s very likely that AMC stock will witness an equally sharp correction.</p>\n<p>That’s not the case with unshortable stocks.</p>\n<p>My focus is on four unshortable stocks where short interest as a percentage of free float is approximately 1%. Two of these stocks trade near all-time highs. The other two are in a consolidation mode and there seems to be a high probability of a breakout on the upside.</p>\n<p>The reasons for these stocks being unshortable are strong fundamentals, high growth and strong cash flows. Additionally, there are ample positive business growth catalysts on the horizon.</p>\n<p>Let’s take a deeper look into the reasons that make these stocks unshortable.</p>\n<ul>\n <li><b>Nvidia</b>(NASDAQ:<b><u>NVDA</u></b>)</li>\n <li><b>Target</b>(NYSE:<b><u>TGT</u></b>)</li>\n <li><b>Shopify</b>(NYSE:<b><u>SHOP</u></b>)</li>\n <li><b>Apple</b>(NASDAQ:<b><u>AAPL</u></b>)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Nvidia (NVDA)</b></p>\n<p>NVDA stock is currently trading near 52-week highs. However, the short interest in the stock is just 1% of the free float. This is probably an indication of the point that NVDA stock is among the unshortable stocks.</p>\n<p>From a fundamental perspective, Nvidia has been on a high growth trajectory. For the first quarter of 2022, the company reported revenue growth of 84% to $5.66 billion. Growth was healthy in the gaming as well as data center segment.</p>\n<p>In addition, Nvidia reported&nbsp;operating cash flow of $1.9 billion for the quarter. This would imply an annualized operating cash flow of nearly $8 billion. The company has high financial flexibility to invest in innovation and pursue inorganic growth.</p>\n<p>In a recent news, Nvidia has asked&nbsp;Chinese regulators to approve the $40 billion acquisition&nbsp;of&nbsp;<b>Arm</b>. A possible approval in the coming quarters will ensure that the stock momentum remains positive.</p>\n<p>With focus on artificial intelligence, Nvidia has also made inroads in multiple industries. This includes AI chips and solutions for robotics, self-driving and healthcare, among others. Therefore, with multiple growth catalysts, NVDA stock remains attractive.</p>\n<p><b>Target (TGT)</b></p>\n<p>TGT stock is another name that I would include among unshortable stocks. The stock trades near all-time highs and looks good for further upside.</p>\n<p>UBS analyst Michael Lasser sees Target as “structurally improved as its strong positioning&nbsp;becomes even clearer in upcoming quarters.” Lasser has a price target of $265 for the stock.</p>\n<p>As the U.S. economy witnesses wider reopening, Target is positioned to benefit. According to Moody’s Analytics, Americans were holding&nbsp;$2.6 trillion in excess savings as of mid-April. The possibility of a post-pandemic consumption boom is likely to be good news for Target, among other retailers.</p>\n<p>Target has already been delivering stellar growth. For the first quarter, the company&nbsp;reported comparable sales growth of 22.9%&nbsp;on a year-on-year basis. Digital comparable sales growth was 50%.</p>\n<p>Clearly, Target is emerging from the pandemic with superior omni-channel capabilities. Initiatives such as order pick-up, drive-up and same-day shipment services are likely to ensure that comparable sales growth remains strong.</p>\n<p>From a financial perspective, Target reported cash flows of $1.1 billion for the quarter. With more than $4 billion in annualized cash flow visibility, dividend and share repurchase will continue.</p>\n<p>Overall, TGT stock looks attractive considering the growth momentum. With an impending spending boom, it might be best to avoid shorting the stock.</p>\n<p><b>Shopify (SHOP)</b></p>\n<p>SHOP stock seems to be trading at premium valuations. However, the stock has consolidated in the broad range of $1,000 to $1,200. Short interest is low and considering the company’s growth outlook, the stock is among the top unshortable stocks.</p>\n<p>For the first quarter, Shopify reported revenue growth of 110% on a year-over-year basis to $988.6 million. An important point to note is that&nbsp;monthly recurring revenue accelerated by 62% to $89.9 million. With sustained growth in monthly recurring revenue, the company is positioned for robust long-term cash flows.</p>\n<p>With the pandemic, e-commerce growth has accelerated globally. Shopify is likely to benefit from positive tailwinds in the coming years. It’s also worth noting that the company has&nbsp;expanded offerings for merchants. This includes Shopify Capital, Shopify Shipping and Shopify Plus. As merchants scale up, there is ample scope for revenue growth.</p>\n<p>As of March, Shopify reported $7.87 billion in cash and equivalents. As the company expands globally, there is ample financial flexibility to invest in platform upgrade and new merchant solutions. As an example, the company recently introduced Shopify POS offering to merchants.</p>\n<p>Overall, SHOP stock looks attractive with strong top-line growth and clear visibility for robust cash flows in the long-term.</p>\n<p><b>Apple (AAPL)</b></p>\n<p>AAPL stock is another name that too risky to bet against. The company has always surprised investors and it seems that the stock is positioned for a breakout after the current consolidation. With strong growth and a production innovation pipeline, it’s not surprising that short interest in AAPL stock is less than 1% of the free float.</p>\n<p>As I write,<i>Reuters</i>&nbsp;reports that Apple is in&nbsp;talks with Chinese manufacturers for a car battery factory&nbsp;in the U.S. The company seems to be gradually working towards its first electric vehicle. That’s likely to keep the markets excited.</p>\n<p>Apple has also witnessed&nbsp;strong growth in the wearables and services segment. Besides strong top-line growth, revenue is more diversified. At the same time, iPhone sales are likely to remain robust with 5G being a key growth driver.</p>\n<p>Apple’s cash glut also implies sustained value creation through share repurchase and possibly higher dividends. Of course, the cash buffer gives the company ample headroom to invest in product innovation and possible acquisitions.</p>\n<p>Overall, as strong growth sustains, it’s too risky to short AAPL stock. NIO now has a network of charging stations across all of China and if the solid-state batteries won't be available by the end of the decade at scale, then the idea of swapping batteries on the go will remain a viable business model in the long run.\nGoing forward, NIO plans to accelerate its deliveries this month in order to meet its Q2 goal of delivering 21,000 to 22,000 vehicles, which represents a growth of 103% Y/Y to 113% Y/Y and plans to generate $1.24 to $1.29 billion in revenues during the period. Despite the semiconductor shortages, NIO already managed to increase its deliveries in April and May to 7,102 vehicles and 6,711 vehicles, respectively, which represents a growth of 125% Y/Y and 95.3% Y/Y, respectively. On top of that, NIO is also on track to deliver 90,000 to 100,000 vehicles this year.\nConsidering this, there's every reason to believe that NIO will continue to be a dominant player in the Chinese EV market and a leader of the luxury EV segment in the region. While the company doesn't have an infrastructure outside China, we don't think that's a downside at all since China is the biggest EV market in the world that's constantly growing and NIO has better chances of creating shareholder value there than abroad. Or should investors look overseas to understand Netflix's true goals?</p>\n<h2>Could Netflix be responding to Disney and Amazon?</h2>\n<p>Netflix's online store is much smaller than <b>Disney</b>'s (NYSE:DIS) sprawling retail business. At the end of 2020, Disney owned and operated about 200 stores across North America, 60 stores in Europe, 45 stores in Japan, and two stores in China. It also sells its products online and licenses its brands to third-party companies.</p>\n<p>Netflix competes against Disney in the streaming market, but I doubt it will follow Disney's example and open hundreds of brick-and-mortar stores, for three simple reasons.</p>\n<p>First, brick-and-mortar stores are more capital-intensive than online stores. It would be absurd for Netflix, which already plans to spend $17 billion on new streaming content this year, to set aside fresh cash for new physical stores instead of expanding its streaming library.</p>\n<p>Second, physical stores are highly exposed to online competition and the decline of offline shopping. Lastly, Netflix doesn't own as many popular franchises as Disney, which can easily fill its shelves with merchandise from its namesake properties as well as Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars products.</p>\n<p>Netflix.shop also might seem like an attempt to counter Amazon, which leveraged the strength of its Prime e-commerce ecosystem to tether more viewers to its Prime Video service.</p>\n<p>That strategy would represent a reversal of Amazon's strategy since Netflix would be leveraging its strength in streaming video to expand into the retail market. But I also doubt Netflix plans to pour billions of dollars into challenging Amazon in the cutthroat e-commerce market.</p>\n<h2>So what's Netflix's game plan?</h2>\n<p>Instead of comparing Netflix.shop to Disney or Amazon, investors should look at a Chinese tech company called<b> Bilibili</b> (NASDAQ:BILI) to understand Netflix's angle.</p>\n<p>Bilibili operates a popular streaming-video platform for anime, comics, and gaming (ACG) content in China.
