POINTS\n\nThe billionaire said many people have asked him over the last three of four years what SoftBank Group is, with some saying him they like him “very much” as an entrepreneur but not as an investor.\nSon said he would describe SoftBank as a “capital provider for the information revolution” in the 21st century in the same way that Mayer Amschel Rothschild was a capital provider for the industrial revolution in the 19th century.\nIn the industrial revolution, manpower was replaced by machines, Son said. “In the information revolution, AI will be the one replacing machinery,” he said.\n\nMasayoshi Son, the chief executive of Japanese tech conglomerateSoftBank, said to shareholders on Wednesday that he wants to be viewed as a 21stcentury Rothschild.\nThe billionaire said many people have asked him over the last three of four years what SoftBank Group is, with some saying him they like him “very much” as an entrepreneur but not as an investor.\n“Actually, I am not a simple or a traditional investor compared to the others,” Son said. “I’ve been a bit frustrated. How should I best try to explain to you what is SoftBank? What is Masayoshi Son?”\nSon said he would describe SoftBank as a “capital provider for the information revolution” in the 21stcentury in the same way that Mayer Amschel Rothschild was a capital provider for the industrial revolution in the 19thcentury.\n“In the industrial revolution, one of the main players was Rothschild,” Son said, using one of the quirky slideshows that SoftBank has become well known for to illustrate his points. “We would like to be the capital provider for the information revolution. That is our new definition or new positioning I would say to describe SoftBank Group.”\nSon said there were “many famous inventors (who) did a great job,” during the industrial revolution, calling out steam engine pioneer James Watt.\n“But that industrial revolution did not happen only by inventors,” he said, adding that capitalists were equally as important. “Mr. Watt is quite famous, but Rothschild as the capitalist may not be fully understood, may not be fully valued,” Son said.\nInformation revolution in full bloom\nToday, the “information revolution is? in full bloom,” according to Son, who said artificial intelligence is a particular area of focus for SoftBank.\n“We believe that the we are the biggest in terms of providing capital,” he said on AI, adding that driving, healthcare, retail, finance and education will all be redefined by AI in the years ahead.\nIn the industrial revolution, manpower was replaced by machines, Son said. “In the information revolution, AI will be the one replacing machinery,” he said.\nSoftBank has invested in 264 companies through its two Vision Funds, as well as a dedicated Latin America fund.\n“The majority of the companies are not actually making money,” Son said. “We are taking risks and at the same time providing funds … as a capital provider.”\nNet asset value is a key metric that SoftBank focuses on when measuring its own performance, Son said. At the end of March, SoftBank’s NAV was about 26 trillion Japanese yen ($235 billion), Son said, adding that it fluctuates on a daily basis and sits at around 25 trillion yen today.\nThere have been four main drivers for SoftBank’s business over the years, Son said. Initially it was Yahoo, then it was SoftBank Mobile and eventually it became Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba. But recently the Vision Fund is “taking a good lead in net asset value,” Son said, adding that he’s “spent a lot of time” on it himself.\nSon claimed SoftBank has recorded a 43% internal rate of return every year in the last 25 years and pointed out that the banks provide less than 1% and asset management companies are 8 to 10%.\n“Up until last year, the Vision Fund was criticized or given a hard time,” Son said. “People said that Masa is not as young anymore so Masa is not as good as before and Masa becomes too greedy or you don’t have a lot money or a lot of hair anymore … but finally we started to see some recovery.”\nThat said, Son admitted there are a “lot of lessons” SoftBank has learned after big bets on loan issuer Greensill, office space provider WeWork and dog walking app Wag turned sour. “I felt embarrassed sometimes by those hard lessons,” he said.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":452,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[{"author":{"id":"3574846858482552","authorId":"3574846858482552","name":"newbiee","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/52066c922d6c53b542a87db244dd75a3","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"idStr":"3574846858482552","authorIdStr":"3574846858482552"},"content":"Wow simi","text":"Wow simi","html":"Wow simi"}],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":129907959,"gmtCreate":1624349476471,"gmtModify":1703834113866,"author":{"id":"3576297371598811","authorId":"3576297371598811","name":"natcc","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/da0a7a7646b54f948a49458c7ad1cba5","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3576297371598811","authorIdStr":"3576297371598811"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":3,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/129907959","repostId":"1136223229","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1136223229","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1624345984,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1136223229?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-06-22 15:13","market":"us","language":"en","title":"\"This Is Not A Temporary Situation\": The Global Chip Shortage Will Continue To Push Prices Higher","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1136223229","media":"zerohedge","summary":"The ongoing global semiconductor shortage is causing prices of electronics to rise while at the same","content":"
The ongoing global semiconductor shortage is causing prices of electronics to rise while at the same time pressuring suppliers and material providers to continue raising prices. An HP Chromebook laptop that used to cost $220 has seen its price rise to $250. In the midst of the shortage, demand for consumer electronics has continued to rocket higher.\nErgo, industry officials believe that the increases are likely to continue, according to a newWall Street Journal report. The effects can be easily seen in consumer electronics.\nThe report notes that items like one ASUS laptop that formerly cost $900 now costs $950. An HP Chromebook laptop that used to cost $220 has seen its price rise to $250. In fact, HP has raised consumer PC prices by 8% and printer prices by more than 20% in just the short span of a year. the company's CEO blames the rise in prices on \"component shortages\".\nDell Technologies Inc. Chief Financial Officer Thomas Sweet recently said: “As we think about component cost increases, we’ll adjust our pricing as appropriate.”\nBernstein analyst Toni Sacconaghimade excuses for HPexplained the price hikes by saying they reflected an absence of usual discounts, instead of all-out price increases.\nVincent Roche, the CEO of chip maker Analog Devices Inc., commented: “We’re not taking advantage of this cycle to do anything on pricing, other than where we are paying more for the additional supply that we’ve got to get on board. It's certainly one of the more complicated trappings of this business. Even if you've only been an investor for a short time, you probably have an \"I shoulda been willing to pay that price after all\" story.
\n
The fact is, however, that no two prospective trades are quite the same. There's just as much to be said for holding out for a bargain as there is for being willing to pay a premium. The key is finding the right stock for a particular price -- a bargain is only a bargain if that stock's got a good shot at increasing in value in the foreseeable future.
\n
With this in mind, here's a closer look at three undervalued names to consider stepping into today. They're bargain stocks not just because they're cheap and have been performers of late, but also because they're stocks of companies with a bright future that not enough people are aware of -- yet.
\n

\n
\n
1. Regeneron Pharmaceuticals
\n
Anyone who knows the Regeneron Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:REGN) story well probably knows this year's banner growth isn't expected to continue into next year. Indeed, following this year's projected 43% top-line growth and subsequent 50% improvement in per-share earnings driven by the company's recently approved COVID-19 \"antibody cocktail,\" the analyst community is calling for a revenue and profit pullback in 2022.
\n
While the focus has largely been on this year's sales swell, what's largely being overlooked is how much progress the company is making on other fronts despite the lingering pandemic. Its eczema drug Dupixent is nearing widened approval for more children between the ages of six and 11, while several phase 3 trials of the same drug for completely different uses were initiated. In fact, Regeneron has about 30 product candidates in the works, including several in phase 3 trials.
\n
Next year won't be as fruitful as this year; of that there can be no doubt. It's not too soon to start looking at 2023 and beyond though, particularly in light of the fact that shares are only trading at 13 times next year's suppressed earnings projection. You're not going to find too many other biopharma stocks with Regeneron Pharmaceuticals' long-term growth prospects priced this inexpensively very often.
\n
2. ViacomCBS
\n
You may recall that in March, share prices of ViacomCBS (NASDAQ:VIAC) (NASDAQ:VIAC.A) were completely up-ended, falling nearly 50% in just three days. The bulk of that pullback appears to be the result of an unmet margin call from then-owner Archegos Capital Management; Archegos' broker sold the most opportune holding to bring the fund back into compliance. The company's decision to cash in on its stock's big run-up through March by selling shares via a secondary $3 billion offering, however, fanned those bearish flames.
\n
The funny thing is, the stock's not yet recovered from this mostly artificial plunge. That's created a big opportunity.
\n
There's no denying the world of entertainment is changing, with streaming becoming an alternative not just to conventional cable television, but to theatrical films as well. ViacomCBS isn't missing this proverbial boat, however. If anything, it's steering the boat. Its free-to-watch, ad-supported streaming television platform Pluto now boasts 50 million regular viewers worldwide, and the company's subscription-based streaming services now serve 36 million people. Both subscriber bases grew at a double-digit percentage pace last quarter.
\n
Revenue is revving up accordingly. Even though the company is still learning the business, CEO Bob Bakish recently indicated that subscribers to its lower-cost, ad-supported streaming platform are already generating more net revenue for the company than the average cable customer does. As for Pluto, eMarketer anticipates it will generate more than $1 billion worth of ad revenue in 2022, up from less than $800 million this year and only $440 million last year. Bakish believes the company is on track to produce $7 billion worth of streaming-based revenue by 2024.
\n
Given how well prepared the company is for what lies ahead, the forward-looking price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of 10 is more than a little compelling here.
\n
3. eBay
\n
Finally, add eBay (NASDAQ:EBAY) to your list of bargain stocks you can buy today. Its trailing P/E ratio of 17.4 and forward-looking one of 16.7 underestimates the online auction company's growth potential.
\n
There's no denying Amazon.com won the coronavirus-consumerism war, entering the lockdown phase of the pandemic already ready to meet the needs of shoppers no longer interested in setting foot in stores. Walmart did pretty well for itself too. eBay nabbed some new business as well, but last year's 28% revenue uptick was actually a bit of a letdown considering the environment. The e-commerce titan is down over 30% from peak levels, having been walloped by regulatory investigations in the U.S. and China.
\n
Investing legend Charlie Munger sees this as an opportunity. In April, Munger revealed he had bought a $37 million stake in Alibaba via the Daily Journal Corporation (NASDAQ: DJCO), where Munger sits as chairman. Some investors were left scratching their heads over this decision. Others wonder if they should do the same thing.
\n
There's no doubt that Alibaba is now cheaper than it was a year ago -- but that's purely from a valuation standpoint. Investors shouldn't rush to buy the dip before knowing two of the company's biggest risks.
\n
1. Alibaba's cash cow is swimming with sharks
\n
Founded in 1999 as a platform for small businesses to sell their products via the internet, Alibaba has since expanded far beyond e-commerce. It's ventured into many other industries, such as cloud computing and entertainment.
\n
But make no mistake. E-commerce is by far the largest Alibaba segment, generating 87% of the group's annual revenue. This business is also highly profitable, delivering $29.7 billion in adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) in fiscal 2021.
\n
For years, many players have tried to loosen Alibaba's grip on China's e-commerce industry. The likes of JD.com (NASDAQ:JD), Vipshop Holdings (NYSE:VIPS), and NetEase (NASDAQ:NTES) have been formidable rivals, but never posed a serious threat. That all changed when Pinduoduo (NASDAQ:PDD) arrived on the scene in 2015.
\n
A few smart moves set the company up for success. From the get-go, Pinduoduo targeted users from rural areas. This meant it would avoid directly competing with industry incumbents. Pinduoduo also focused on being a mobile-only, social e-commerce platform. This allowed it to ride the explosion of mobile devices -- and social media -- to turbocharge its own growth. On top of that, an early partnership with Tencent (OTC:TCEHY), which owns a 15.6% stake in Pinduoduo, helped the company leverage WeChat to acquire users rapidly and cheaply.
\n
Today, Pinduoduo has 824 million active buyers on its platform. It hit a milestone in the fourth quarter of 2020 when it overtook Alibaba in terms of active buyers -- making it China's biggest e-commerce platform by this measure. It is also outpacing Alibaba in terms of growth. Pinduoduo's revenue surged 239% in its latest fiscal quarter, while Alibaba's commerce revenue grew 72% over the same period.
\n
For now, Alibaba is still holding on to its crown. Its e-commerce business generates over seven times as much revenue as Pinduoduo's. And Alibaba is taking on Pinduoduo by launching its own version of group-buying services and expanding its e-commerce business in rural areas.
\n
From a revenue perspective, Alibaba is still -- by far -- the elephant in the room. But Pinduoduo is a threat Alibaba can no longer ignore. If Pinduoduo continues expanding at the same rate, it will soon start eating into Alibaba's market share and growth.
\n
2. Alibaba's newer ventures are mostly unprofitable
\n
So far, we've addressed the bear case for Alibaba: an increasingly competitive e-commerce industry, and intensifying regulatory scrutiny in the U.S. and China. But bulls argue that Alibaba's fast-growing new businesses could transform it into China's version of Amazon -- a company with more than one success story.
\n
Alibaba's business empire includes logistics division Cainiao, cloud computing service Alibaba Cloud, and streaming platform Youku. These ventures have shown great potential and, in the long run, could help diversify Alibaba's revenue. Some of these businesses are also growing rapidly. For example, Alicloud -- the biggest cloud infrastructure company in China -- grew revenue by 50% in fiscal 2021. Cainiao grew up even faster with revenue up 68% over the same period.
\n
The problem with Alibaba's side bets is that most of them are unprofitable. Some of these businesses are years away from profitability and require heavy investments before they can hit a profitable scale.
\n
In the past, Alibaba has funded these ventures with money generated by its e-commerce business. But as this segment comes under increasing pressure, Alibaba may soon need to start investing in it. This will reduce the amount of money Alibaba can splurge on its rising stars. The risk here is that if Alibaba is forced to slash its investments in these businesses, they may never grow big enough to become mature and profitable companies.
\n
For now, Alibaba can draw on its strong balance sheet if it needs to. The company had $72 billion in cash, cash equivalents, and short-term investments as of March 31, giving it plenty of firepower to fuel its side bets. The e-commerce titan is down over 30% from peak levels, having been walloped by regulatory investigations in the U.S. and China.\nInvesting legend Charlie Munger sees this as an opportunity. In April, Munger revealed he had bought a $37 million stake in Alibaba via the Daily Journal Corporation (NASDAQ: DJCO), where Munger sits as chairman. Some investors were left scratching their heads over this decision. Others wonder if they should do the same thing.\nThere's no doubt that Alibaba is now cheaper than it was a year ago -- but that's purely from a valuation standpoint. Investors shouldn't rush to buy the dip before knowing two of the company's biggest risks.\n1. Alibaba's cash cow is swimming with sharks\nFounded in 1999 as a platform for small businesses to sell their products via the internet, Alibaba has since expanded far beyond e-commerce. It's ventured into many other industries, such as cloud computing and entertainment.\nBut make no mistake. E-commerce is by far the largest Alibaba segment, generating 87% of the group's annual revenue. This business is also highly profitable, delivering $29.7 billion in adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) in fiscal 2021.\nFor years, many players have tried to loosen Alibaba's grip on China's e-commerce industry. The likes of JD.com (NASDAQ:JD), Vipshop Holdings (NYSE:VIPS), and NetEase (NASDAQ:NTES) have been formidable rivals, but never posed a serious threat. That all changed when Pinduoduo (NASDAQ:PDD) arrived on the scene in 2015.\nA few smart moves set the company up for success. On top of that, an early partnership with Tencent (OTC:TCEHY), which owns a 15.6% stake in Pinduoduo, helped the company leverage WeChat to acquire users rapidly and cheaply.\nToday, Pinduoduo has 824 million active buyers on its platform. It hit a milestone in the fourth quarter of 2020 when it overtook Alibaba in terms of active buyers -- making it China's biggest e-commerce platform by this measure. It is also outpacing Alibaba in terms of growth. Pinduoduo's revenue surged 239% in its latest fiscal quarter, while Alibaba's commerce revenue grew 72% over the same period.\nFor now, Alibaba is still holding on to its crown. Its e-commerce business generates over seven times as much revenue as Pinduoduo's. And Alibaba is taking on Pinduoduo by launching its own version of group-buying services and expanding its e-commerce business in rural areas.\nFrom a revenue perspective, Alibaba is still -- by far -- the elephant in the room. But Pinduoduo is a threat Alibaba can no longer ignore. If Pinduoduo continues expanding at the same rate, it will soon start eating into Alibaba's market share and growth.\n2. Alibaba's newer ventures are mostly unprofitable\nSo far, we've addressed the bear case for Alibaba: an increasingly competitive e-commerce industry, and intensifying regulatory scrutiny in the U.S. and China. But bulls argue that Alibaba's fast-growing new businesses could transform it into China's version of Amazon -- a company with more than one success story.\nAlibaba's business empire includes logistics division Cainiao, cloud computing service Alibaba Cloud, and streaming platform Youku. These ventures have shown great potential and, in the long run, could help diversify Alibaba's revenue. Some of these businesses are also growing rapidly. For example, Alicloud -- the biggest cloud infrastructure company in China -- grew revenue by 50% in fiscal 2021. Cainiao grew up even faster with revenue up 68% over the same period.\nThe problem with Alibaba's side bets is that most of them are unprofitable. Some of these businesses are years away from profitability and require heavy investments before they can hit a profitable scale.\nIn the past, Alibaba has funded these ventures with money generated by its e-commerce business. But as this segment comes under increasing pressure, Alibaba may soon need to start investing in it. This will reduce the amount of money Alibaba can splurge on its rising stars. The risk here is that if Alibaba is forced to slash its investments in these businesses, they may never grow big enough to become mature and profitable companies.\nFor now, Alibaba can draw on its strong balance sheet if it needs to. The company had $72 billion in cash, cash equivalents, and short-term investments as of March 31, giving it plenty of firepower to fuel its side bets. But even then, there's no guarantee Alibaba's unprofitable businesses will ever turn a profit. And if they don't, Alibaba will ultimately need to write off these investments -- destroying shareholder value.\nWhat all this means for investors\nAlibaba is currently trading at 5.4 times trailing 12-month sales. That makes it relatively cheap, especially when you consider that Tencent -- Alibaba's archrival -- trades at almost double that multiple.\nBut as Warren Buffett once pointed out, \"it's far better to buy a wonderful company at a fair price than a fair company at a wonderful price.\" Just because a stock looks cheap doesn't mean it's a good investment.\nWhile I'm not suggesting that Alibaba is not a good business -- on the contrary, its e-commerce business is still incredibly profitable -- investors will need to consider the aforementioned risks before investing in Alibaba.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":273,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":187920901,"gmtCreate":1623735596603,"gmtModify":1704209975579,"author":{"id":"3576297371598811","authorId":"3576297371598811","name":"natcc","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/da0a7a7646b54f948a49458c7ad1cba5","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3576297371598811","authorIdStr":"3576297371598811"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":3,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/187920901","repostId":"1180739794","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1180739794","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1623720576,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1180739794?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-06-15 09:29","market":"us","language":"en","title":"This cannabis stock is a new Reddit favorite","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1180739794","media":"CNN Business","summary":"New York (CNN Business) - Cannabis company Tilray, which recently merged with rival Aphria, has seen","content":"
New York (CNN Business) - Cannabis company Tilray, which recently merged with rival Aphria, has seen its stock surge as of late thanks to — you guessed it — love from the Reddit crowd.
\n
As backers tout the growing number of states legalizing recreational and medical marijuana, some investors are holding out for the dream scenario of federal legalization — even though that might be a stretch in the near term.
\n
But are investors going a little crazy?Tilray (TLRY) is now up more than 130% this year. That's much higher than the gains for rivalsCanopy Growth (CGC) and Cronos (CRON), which have the backing of consumer products giantsConstellation Brands(STZ)andAltria(MO), respectively.
\n
Short-sellers are targeting Tilray. And Redditors have gleefully tried to squeeze the shorts — investors who borrow stocks and sell them with hopes of buying them back at a lower price.
\n
If a stock suddenly starts to rise, short-sellers have no choice but to buy it back or face prohibitively large losses. That's a big reason behind the recent spikes in AMC(AMC),GameStop(GME) and other stocks that the Reddit community has glommed onto this year.
\n
One Reddit user wrote in a post last week that Tilray \"is a movement,\" adding that the company has \"fantastic stats\" and is \"a worthy opponent to AMC\" as a meme stock.
\n
The short-sellers have seemingly taken control in this battle lately though. After a 6% pop in Tilray's stock last Wednesday, share prices have fallen for the past three trading days.
\n
But some backers aren't deterred by the recent pullback. One Redditor on the site's Tilray board wrote the following message to any would be short sellers: \"Weed Stocks to Bears: I'm not leaving.\"
\n
The post, which also mentioned cannabis stocksAurora(ACB)andSundial Growers(SNDL), showed a clip of Leonardo DiCaprio's inspirational speech to employes from \"The Wolf of Wall Street\" in which his Jordan Belfort character exclaimed he wasn't going anywhere.
\n
The Reddit community also seems to appreciate that Tilray CEO Irwin Simon is acknowledging their support. In an interview with CNBC last week, Simon said \"we love having them as part of our shareholder base\" in response to a question about the retail investor interest in the stock.
\n
One commenter referred to Simon last week as a \"diamond\" — the ultimate Reddit compliment.
\n
\"[He] wants to build a global green giant. This dude wants to take us to tendie town gentleman,\" the poster said, using the Reddit lingo \"tendie\" to describe trading profits.
\n
\"This company has a shot to literally rocket to the top as a fundamental and strong global brand,\" the Reddit user added.
\n
Still, Tilray's faithful may have a tough time convincing the Wall Street establishment that this is a stock worth owning.
\n
Analysts who cover the stock are lukewarm on its prospects. Only four have a buy rating on Tilray, compared with 13 holds and one sell. What's more, the consensus target price is about $19 — right around where the stock is currently trading.
","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
This cannabis stock is a new Reddit favorite
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nThis cannabis stock is a new Reddit favorite\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-06-15 09:29 GMT+8 CNN Business\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
New York (CNN Business) - Cannabis company Tilray, which recently merged with rival Aphria, has seen its stock surge as of late thanks to — you guessed it — love from the Reddit crowd.\nAs backers tout...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{"TLRY":"Tilray Inc."},"source_url":"https://edition.cnn.com/2021/06/14/investing/tilray-reddit-cannabis-stocks/index.html","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/e9f99090a1c2ed51c021029395664489","article_id":"1180739794","content_text":"New York (CNN Business) - Cannabis company Tilray, which recently merged with rival Aphria, has seen its stock surge as of late thanks to — you guessed it — love from the Reddit crowd.\nAs backers tout the growing number of states legalizing recreational and medical marijuana, some investors are holding out for the dream scenario of federal legalization — even though that might be a stretch in the near term.\nBut are investors going a little crazy?Tilray (TLRY) is now up more than 130% this year. That's a big reason behind the recent spikes in AMC(AMC),GameStop(GME) and other stocks that the Reddit community has glommed onto this year.\nOne Reddit user wrote in a post last week that Tilray \"is a movement,\" adding that the company has \"fantastic stats\" and is \"a worthy opponent to AMC\" as a meme stock.\nThe short-sellers have seemingly taken control in this battle lately though. After a 6% pop in Tilray's stock last Wednesday, share prices have fallen for the past three trading days.\nBut some backers aren't deterred by the recent pullback. One Redditor on the site's Tilray board wrote the following message to any would be short sellers: \"Weed Stocks to Bears: I'm not leaving.\"\nThe post, which also mentioned cannabis stocksAurora(ACB)andSundial Growers(SNDL), showed a clip of Leonardo DiCaprio's inspirational speech to employes from \"The Wolf of Wall Street\" in which his Jordan Belfort character exclaimed he wasn't going anywhere.\nThe Reddit community also seems to appreciate that Tilray CEO Irwin Simon is acknowledging their support. In an interview with CNBC last week, Simon said \"we love having them as part of our shareholder base\" in response to a question about the retail investor interest in the stock.\nOne commenter referred to Simon last week as a \"diamond\" — the ultimate Reddit compliment.\n\"[He] wants to build a global green giant. This dude wants to take us to tendie town gentleman,\" the poster said, using the Reddit lingo \"tendie\" to describe trading profits.\n\"This company has a shot to literally rocket to the top as a fundamental and strong global brand,\" the Reddit user added.\nStill, Tilray's faithful may have a tough time convincing the Wall Street establishment that this is a stock worth owning.\nAnalysts who cover the stock are lukewarm on its prospects. Only four have a buy rating on Tilray, compared with 13 holds and one sell. What's more, the consensus target price is about $19 — right around where the stock is currently trading.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":465,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":121364913,"gmtCreate":1624454481232,"gmtModify":1703837159148,"author":{"id":"3576297371598811","authorId":"3576297371598811","name":"natcc","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/da0a7a7646b54f948a49458c7ad1cba5","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3576297371598811","authorIdStr":"3576297371598811"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow","listText":"Wow","text":"Wow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/121364913","repostId":"1134575663","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1134575663","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1624453341,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1134575663?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-06-23 21:02","market":"us","language":"en","title":"SoftBank CEO says he wants to be a 21st century Rothschild","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1134575663","media":"cnbc","summary":"KEY POINTS\n\nThe billionaire said many people have asked him over the last three of four years what S","content":"
\n
KEY POINTS\n\nThe billionaire said many people have asked him over the last three of four years what SoftBank Group is, with some saying him they like him “very much” as an entrepreneur but not as an ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n","source":"cnbc_highlight","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; How should I best try to explain to you what is SoftBank? “I felt embarrassed sometimes by those hard lessons,” he said.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":452,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[{"author":{"id":"3574846858482552","authorId":"3574846858482552","name":"newbiee","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/52066c922d6c53b542a87db244dd75a3","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"idStr":"3574846858482552","authorIdStr":"3574846858482552"},"content":"Wow simi","text":"Wow simi","html":"Wow simi"}],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":169535038,"gmtCreate":1623842164924,"gmtModify":1703821068999,"author":{"id":"3576297371598811","authorId":"3576297371598811","name":"natcc","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/da0a7a7646b54f948a49458c7ad1cba5","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3576297371598811","authorIdStr":"3576297371598811"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wa","listText":"Wa","text":"Wa","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/169535038","repostId":"1128941988","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1128941988","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1623841860,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1128941988?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-06-16 19:11","market":"uk","language":"en","title":"Cathay working with Airbus on single-pilot system for long-haul","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1128941988","media":"Reuters","summary":"PARIS (Reuters) - Cathay Pacific is working with Airbus to introduce \"reduced crew\" long-haul flight","content":"
PARIS (Reuters) - Cathay Pacific is working with Airbus to introduce \"reduced crew\" long-haul flights with a sole pilot in the cockpit much of the time, industry sources told Reuters.
\n
The programme, known within Airbus as Project Connect, aims to certify its A350 jet for single-pilot operations during high-altitude cruise, starting in 2025 on Cathay passenger flights, the sources said.
\n
High hurdles remain on the path to international acceptance. China's support is key to any Cathay deployment.
\n
EASA plans consultations this year and certification work in 2022, while acknowledging \"significant risk\" to the 2025 launch date, a spokesman said.
\n
In a closed-door industry briefing this year, the agency suggested reduced-crew flights would begin with a single operator, according to notes of the meeting reviewed by Reuters.
\n
EMERGENCY DESCENT
\n
Airbus has designed an A350 autopilot upgrade and flight warning system changes to help a lone pilot manage failures, sources close to the project said.
\n
The mid-sized plane is suitable because of its \"emergency descent\" feature that quickly reduces altitude without pilot input in the event of cabin depressurisation.
\n
Proponents suggest single-pilot operations may be accepted by a flying public used to crew leaving the cockpit for bathroom breaks. They also point to higher error rates from human pilots than automated systems.
\n
Both arguments miss the point, according to a source close to Lufthansa - who said the airline's executives were advised last year that the programme could not meet safety goals.
\n
Flying solo for hours is a \"completely different story\", the source said, citing the 2009 AF447 disaster as an example of malfunctions occurring in cruise. The Air France A330's copilots lost control after its speed sensors failed over the Atlantic, while the captain was resting.
\n
\"Airbus would have had to make sure every situation can be handled autonomously without any pilot input for 15 minutes,\" the source said. \"And that couldn't be guaranteed.\"
\n
Lufthansa has not withdrawn from Project Connect and remains involved as an adviser, its spokesman said.
\n
While the airline has no plans to deploy single-pilot operations, he added, \"the suggestion that Lufthansa was an essential part of the project and then pulled back is not true.\"
\n
Single-pilot capability would add an A350 sales argument, experts say, and rival Boeing lacks an equivalent model with sufficient automation.
\n
Filippo Tomasello, a former EASA official, said the payroll and accommodation savings for long-haul crew would not be lost on airlines.
\n
\"COVID may end up accelerating this evolution because it's putting tremendous economic pressure on aviation,\" Tomasello predicted.
\n
\"If EASA certifies this solution, airlines will use it.\"
","source":"lsy1612507957220","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; Both remain in the cockpit for take-off and landing.\n\"Typically on long-haul flights when you're at cruise altitude there's very little happening in the cockpit,\" EASA chief Patrick Ky told a German press briefing in January.\n\"It makes sense to say OK, instead of having two in the cockpit, we can have one in the cockpit, the other one taking a rest, provided we're implementing technical solutions which make sure that if the single one falls asleep or has any problem, there won't be any unsafe conditions.\"\nPilot groups have voiced alarm.\n\"We struggle to understand the rationale,\" said Otjan de Bruijn, head of the European Cockpit Association representing EU pilots.\nInvoking the 737 MAX crisis, which exposed Boeing's inappropriate links to U.S. regulators, De Bruijn said the programme's cost-cutting approach \"could lead to higher risks\".\nSingle-pilot operations, currently limited to planes with up to nine passengers, would need backing from U.N. aviation body ICAO and countries whose airspace they cross. China's support is key to any Cathay deployment.\nEASA plans consultations this year and certification work in 2022, while acknowledging \"significant risk\" to the 2025 launch date, a spokesman said.\nIn a closed-door industry briefing this year, the agency suggested reduced-crew flights would begin with a single operator, according to notes of the meeting reviewed by Reuters.\nEMERGENCY DESCENT\nAirbus has designed an A350 autopilot upgrade and flight warning system changes to help a lone pilot manage failures, sources close to the project said.\nThe mid-sized plane is suitable because of its \"emergency descent\" feature that quickly reduces altitude without pilot input in the event of cabin depressurisation.\nProponents suggest single-pilot operations may be accepted by a flying public used to crew leaving the cockpit for bathroom breaks. They also point to higher error rates from human pilots than automated systems.\nBoth arguments miss the point, according to a source close to Lufthansa - who said the airline's executives were advised last year that the programme could not meet safety goals.\nFlying solo for hours is a \"completely different story\", the source said, citing the 2009 AF447 disaster as an example of malfunctions occurring in cruise. The Air France A330's copilots lost control after its speed sensors failed over the Atlantic, while the captain was resting.\n\"Airbus would have had to make sure every situation can be handled autonomously without any pilot input for 15 minutes,\" the source said. \"And that couldn't be guaranteed.\"\nLufthansa has not withdrawn from Project Connect and remains involved as an adviser, its spokesman said.\nWhile the airline has no plans to deploy single-pilot operations, he added, \"the suggestion that Lufthansa was an essential part of the project and then pulled back is not true.\"\nSingle-pilot capability would add an A350 sales argument, experts say, and rival Boeing lacks an equivalent model with sufficient automation.\nFilippo Tomasello, a former EASA official, said the payroll and accommodation savings for long-haul crew would not be lost on airlines.\n\"COVID may end up accelerating this evolution because it's putting tremendous economic pressure on aviation,\" Tomasello predicted.\n\"If EASA certifies this solution, airlines will use it.\"","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":592,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":129904829,"gmtCreate":1624349442961,"gmtModify":1703834112737,"author":{"id":"3576297371598811","authorId":"3576297371598811","name":"natcc","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/da0a7a7646b54f948a49458c7ad1cba5","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3576297371598811","authorIdStr":"3576297371598811"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/129904829","repostId":"2145033651","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2145033651","kind":"highlight","pubTimestamp":1624345200,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2145033651?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-06-22 15:00","market":"us","language":"en","title":"3 Bargain Stocks You Can Buy Today","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2145033651","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"The market is mispricing these names, ignoring the long-term growth prospects ahead for each of them.","content":"
As an investor, do you fear being penny-wise but pound-foolish? Indeed, following this year's projected 43% top-line growth and subsequent 50% improvement in per-share earnings driven by the company's recently approved COVID-19 \"antibody cocktail,\" the analyst community is calling for a revenue and profit pullback in 2022.
\n
While the focus has largely been on this year's sales swell, what's largely being overlooked is how much progress the company is making on other fronts despite the lingering pandemic.
ViacomCBS
That makes it relatively cheap, especially when you consider that Tencent -- Alibaba's archrival -- trades at almost double that multiple.\nBut as Warren Buffett once pointed out, \"it's far better to buy a wonderful company at a fair price than a fair company at a wonderful price.\" Just because a stock looks cheap doesn't mean it's a good investment.\nWhile I'm not suggesting that Alibaba is not a good business -- on the contrary, its e-commerce business is still incredibly profitable -- investors will need to consider the aforementioned risks before investing in Alibaba.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":273,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":187967375,"gmtCreate":1623735547697,"gmtModify":1704209973613,"author":{"id":"3576297371598811","authorId":"3576297371598811","name":"natcc","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/da0a7a7646b54f948a49458c7ad1cba5","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3576297371598811","authorIdStr":"3576297371598811"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nice","listText":"Nice","text":"Nice","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/187967375","repostId":"1104367480","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1104367480","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1623720038,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1104367480?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-06-15 09:20","market":"us","language":"en","title":"These stocks with pricing power could keep thriving as inflation rises, according to Credit Suisse","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1104367480","media":"CNBC","summary":"Companies have done well passing on higher costs this year, but that could change if cost pressures ","content":"
\n
Companies have done well passing on higher costs this year, but that could change if cost pressures continue, according to a client note put out by Credit Suisse Monday.\nThe bank screened for low-...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n","source":"cnbc_highlight","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html;
