@Omega88:Fierce competition for EVs $XPeng Inc.(XPEV)$ Global EV sales for year 2022 is around 10 million units (up ~60% vs 6.5 million units in year 2021). Although the global EV sales is expected to grow to ~13.6 million units in year 2023 (which presents a growth of ~30% yoy), one must admit that there's huge competition among the different EV brands. $BYD COMPANY(01211)$ became the world's best selling EV brand in year 2022, recording a sales of ~1.8 million units. Followed by $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ , which also recorded ~1.3 million units in year 2022. Furthermore, the competition is getting more intense with $Volkswagen AG(VLKAF)$ etc. Although China has the biggest market for EVs at ~60%, there's price war among the dif
@Mrzorro:$SEA(SEA)$ Is Passing Through the Storm! It might just be possible to get U.S. investors to pile back into tech stocks if companies were to brutally cut costs and give priority to profits over everything else. Case in point: Singapore's Sea Ltd. The Asian consumer internet company's beaten-down shares surfed a wave of enthusiasm on Tuesday after it narrowed losses substantially during the third quarter, defying market expectations. They surged 36% in New York trading after having been down 87% from their 52-week high. Sea's net loss for the quarter, excluding share-based compensation, narrowed to $369.5 million from $450.1 million in the year-ago period as cash burn in its e-commerce business slowed. Revenue was up 17.4%. The compan
@yaodong:Stitch FixOffering stylist-curated outfits by mail hasn't been a very good business model lately. Stitch Fix has posted four consecutive quarters of sharply decelerating revenue growth, clocking in with a decline in revenue in its latest report. This is horrible momentum heading into the fiscal fourth-quarter numbers that it will announce on Tuesday afternoon. If the business was slowing as we clawed our way out of the pandemic, how do you think Stitch Fix will hold up now that folks are spending less money outside of food essentials? The model has gone through some changes, but it can't seem to gain traction with poorly dressed folks who would appreciate having fashionistas on their side. The balance sheet is still in decent shape, but analysts don't see Stitch Fix turning a profit until at
[Smile] [Smile] //@LimLS:The drop should be more of "buy the rumours, sell the news". Tesla had a good run and gain more than a fair bit before the 4th Aug. So now is just selling and profit taking. Comments about recession or whatever is just an excuse used to explain the drop in price. Elon had made worse comments about recession and we don't see the same in drop in price. In fact, he had made positive comments but why not mentioned by the author? Because the price falls instead of rising so can't used the excuse of positive comments. Ha ha.

@RDPD富爸穷爸:It feels like deja vu. I've been hearing this delisting subject since I'm vested in $Alibaba(09988)$. This ain't new and I won't be surprised this subject will be bought up again sometime in the future. The business didn't change overnight but as usual, the over reaction exceeds rationale even when it comes to 'recycle' news. The positive take is that a primary listing in HK exchange is in the pipeline. Once approved it will give Alibaba more liquidity via the "HK connect" program which allows domestic investors (i.e chinese national) to invest in China companies listed in the HK exchange. This helps to increase trading volume in HK exchange and over time less dependent on US exchange. Currently, stock price lik
