We detail our full valuation model.
\n
\n
Photo by Movus/iStock Editorial via Getty Images
\n
As we detailed in our full investment thesis Forget Bitcoin - 5 Reasons To Buy Coinbase Instead, Coinbase(NASDAQ:COIN) is a leading cryptocurrency infrastructure company that is investing aggressively in cryptocurrency innovation in order to reduce dependency on its no-moat crypto trading fee business.
\n
What are COIN shares worth today? In the following sections, we will attempt to give an estimate.
\n
#1. Qualitative Analysis
\n
In order to provide the proper context for our quantitative assumptions and analysis we will briefly outline our qualitative appraisal of the company here.
\n
Diversified
\n
COIN is not solely dependent on the fate of any single cryptocurrency as it deals in over 100 cryptocurrencies on its platform. Furthermore, it is not confined to simply profiting off of cryptocurrency trading fees.
\n
While it is true that its cryptocurrency trading platform benefits from a large network effect and early-mover status, there is no lasting moat here given that competition is plentiful and growing and the retail investing crowd typically cares more about fees than anything else, making it a highly commoditized service.
\n
COIN's management sees this trend forming and realizes that it cannot maintain its fat 60.2% EBITDA margins forever by simply relying on transaction fees. Therefore it is investing aggressively to diversify into ancillary businesses like cryptocurrency rewards credit card through a partnership with Visa (V),Coinbase Prime (a prime brokerage product for custody, advanced trading, data analytics, and prime services targeting institutional and corporate investors), cybersecurity services tailored to blockchain and cryptocurrency, and loans and deposit accounts. In fact, within 5 years they expect to derive the majority of their revenue from outside of transaction fees.
\n
Profitable
\n
Even though its cryptocurrency transaction business may not have much of a moat and we do not expect its fat margins to be sustainable, it is current wildly profitable as returns on invested capital were a whopping 48.4% over the past twelve months and the company is expected to generate $8.41 in normalized earnings per share this year.
\n
As a result of their profitable business, they have a net cash position and nearly $2 billion in cash on their balance sheet, giving them plenty of dry powder to not only avoid financial distress but also continue to invest opportunistically in growing into ancillary businesses.
\n
Not Directly Correlated to the Bitcoin (BTC-USD) Price
\n
Given that COIN profits from transaction fees and ancillary services, its revenues are not directly tied to the price of Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. Instead, they are more closely tied to the volume of transactions and other uses of cryptocurrencies. Quantitative Analysis
\n
While all this sounds great, the main question remains: what is COIN worth?
\n
The company is currently appraised by Mr. Market to be worth an Enterprise Value of $50.8 billion and is expected to generate ~$6.3 billion in revenue in 2021 followed by $5.9 billion in 2022. The EBITDA margin is expected to be 47.7% in 2021 and then decline to 39.2% in 2022 on declining revenue and increased competition in the exchange business.
\n
While these estimates are nice, if not useful to some extent, COIN's revenue and profitability are extremely hard to predict in any given year due to the asset-light nature of the business and its heavy dependence on exchange volume in an immature and rapidly evolving asset class.
\n
That said, a few things we are quite confident in are that:
\n
\n
Exchange business margins will compress meaningfully in the years to come.
\n
COIN will continue to diversify rapidly away from its exchange business into ancillary businesses and within the next half decade these alternative sources of revenue should combine to exceed its exchange business revenue.
\n
COIN will remain profitable and a leader in the cryptocurrency/blockchain tech and services space given its financial and personnel resources and sector-leading scale and early-mover advantage.
\n
Blockchain technology is here to stay with many valuable applications and cryptocurrencies of some sort will likely also continue to grow in popularity and acceptance.
\n
\n
Given these assumptions, here are a few possible scenarios and potential corresponding valuations for COIN:
\n
Model #1: \"Bear\" Case
\n
COIN struggles to deliver on its innovations and misses its target of generating the majority of its revenue outside of its exchange business within 5 years and/or cryptocurrencies run into major regulatory headwinds that lead to weak institutional adoption. As a result, retail investor demand also fizzles out and their exchange business also weakens considerably. In such a combination of scenarios, COIN is clearly dramatically overvalued at present and - while it likely will not go bankrupt given the utility of blockchain technology, their strong balance sheet, and the likelihood that some lingering demand will always exist for cryptocurrencies - investors at today's prices will be set up for dramatic losses.
\n
Model #2: \"Bull\" Case
\n
COIN's innovations take off as their startup investments reap significant rewards and their institutional business grows exponentially as broad institutional adoption of cryptocurrencies results in strong demand for secure storage and other services and products that COIN is in a highly competitive position to offer.
\n
Furthermore, this strong institutional demand provides rocket fuel to cryptocurrency prices, driving Bitcoin pricing into the hundreds of thousands of dollars and Ethereum (ETH-USD) pricing into the tends of thousands of dollars. Retail demand also then becomes even stronger as more and more participants enter the market and the fear of missing out drives people to put more and more of their wealth into crypto assets. This surge in demand will offset the heavy competition and COIN - as a major player in the exchange business - will see such strong demand that its margins will not compress as much as originally thought and revenue growth will lead to strong profit growth.
\n
In such a scenario, we expect annual exchange revenue to more than triple from 2021 levels by 2026 to hit $18 billion and net profit margins will only decline to ~25% ($4.5 billion in net profit from the exchange business).
\n
Meanwhile, their ancillary businesses will explode to consume 60% of their total revenue by 2026 at $27 billion and profit margins in these lucrative businesses will be ~45% ($12.2 billion in net profit from ancillary businesses). As a result, their total net income in 2026 will be ~$16.7 billion. Given their strength and growth, we assume a 20x multiple for the exchange business and a 35x multiple for the ancillary businesses, giving us a bull case valuation of $517 billion. That would represent a whopping 10x from current levels or a ~160% CAGR over the next half decade from current share prices.
\n
Model #3: \"Base\" Case
\n
COIN hits its target of generating the majority of its revenue outside of its exchange business within 5 years. We assume that exchange net income margins will decline significantly from their current levels to ~19% and revenue remains flat in that business as growth roughly offsets reduced fees. Meanwhile, however, ancillary businesses enjoy fat 40% net income margins due to COIN's technological advantages, asset-light business models, and economies of scale and revenues from these businesses are roughly 55% of their total revenue. As a result, we estimate 2026 revenue coming in at ~$14 billion and exchange net income at $1.2 billion and ancillary business net income coming in at $3.1 billion.
\n
We would conservatively value the exchange business at 15x net income and the ancillary business at 25x net income, resulting in an estimated value of $95.5 billion, or an 88% increase in valuation over 5 years. This would lead to a CAGR of 13.5% from current share price and make the stock an attractive buy here.
\n
Investor Takeaway
\n
As you can see from our models, valuing COIN is very challenging right now and the potential outcomes range from massive losses in a bear case scenario to enormous gains in a bull scenario. Our base case - based on a mildly bullish outlook for cryptocurrencies and their ancillary business investments, a realistically slightly bearish outlook for their exchange business, and conservative valuation multiple assumptions - indicates that COIN could be an attractive buy at present.
\n
While our current fair value estimate is ~$300 a share and implies meaningful upside from the current share price of ~$240, investors need to acknowledge that this is a highly speculative estimate at this point and that the thesis hinges primarily on their outlook for the growth of institutional cryptocurrency adoption rather than on internal factors at COIN. As a result, we rate COIN a speculative buy.
","source":"seekingalpha","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
How Much Is Coinbase Worth?
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nHow Much Is Coinbase Worth?\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-05-31 21:38 GMT+8 seekingalpha\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Summary\n\nCOIN is a leading cryptocurrency infrastructure company.\nCOIN is investing aggressively in cryptocurrency innovation in order to reduce dependency on its no-moat crypto trading fee business.\n...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{"COIN":"Coinbase Global, Inc."},"source_url":"https://seekingalpha.com/article/4432066-how-much-is-coinbase-worth","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/5a36db9d73b4222bc376d24ccc48c8a4","article_id":"1133890180","content_text":"Summary\n\nCOIN is a leading cryptocurrency infrastructure company.\nCOIN is investing aggressively in cryptocurrency innovation in order to reduce dependency on its no-moat crypto trading fee business.\nWhat are COIN shares worth today? We detail our full valuation model.\n\nPhoto by Movus/iStock Editorial via Getty Images\nAs we detailed in our full investment thesis Forget Bitcoin - 5 Reasons To Buy Coinbase Instead, Coinbase(NASDAQ:COIN) is a leading cryptocurrency infrastructure company that is investing aggressively in cryptocurrency innovation in order to reduce dependency on its no-moat crypto trading fee business.\nWhat are COIN shares worth today? In the following sections, we will attempt to give an estimate.\n#1. Qualitative Analysis\nIn order to provide the proper context for our quantitative assumptions and analysis we will briefly outline our qualitative appraisal of the company here.\nDiversified\nCOIN is not solely dependent on the fate of any single cryptocurrency as it deals in over 100 cryptocurrencies on its platform. Furthermore, it is not confined to simply profiting off of cryptocurrency trading fees.\nWhile it is true that its cryptocurrency trading platform benefits from a large network effect and early-mover status, there is no lasting moat here given that competition is plentiful and growing and the retail investing crowd typically cares more about fees than anything else, making it a highly commoditized service.\nCOIN's management sees this trend forming and realizes that it cannot maintain its fat 60.2% EBITDA margins forever by simply relying on transaction fees. In fact, within 5 years they expect to derive the majority of their revenue from outside of transaction fees.\nProfitable\nEven though its cryptocurrency transaction business may not have much of a moat and we do not expect its fat margins to be sustainable, it is current wildly profitable as returns on invested capital were a whopping 48.4% over the past twelve months and the company is expected to generate $8.41 in normalized earnings per share this year.\nAs a result of their profitable business, they have a net cash position and nearly $2 billion in cash on their balance sheet, giving them plenty of dry powder to not only avoid financial distress but also continue to invest opportunistically in growing into ancillary businesses.\nNot Directly Correlated to the Bitcoin (BTC-USD) Price\nGiven that COIN profits from transaction fees and ancillary services, its revenues are not directly tied to the price of Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. Instead, they are more closely tied to the volume of transactions and other uses of cryptocurrencies. As a result, they tend to rack up large profits when cryptocurrencies are either on a strong bull run or in a fierce downturn.\nMassive Growth Potential\nLast, but not least, we expect COIN to grow significantly in the years to come, provided that cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology continue their strong growth trajectory.\nBetween their strong crypto and software brain trust, their stakes in numerous cryptocurrency and blockchain startups which are developing innovative products and services using the technology, and their massive growth runway from their current 50 million users to an estimated 1 billion potential customers, they could very well enjoy an exponential growth trajectory.\nWe are particularly bullish on their institutional investor services business potential, which should help them more than offset expected tightening margins in their retail exchange business.\n#2. Quantitative Analysis\nWhile all this sounds great, the main question remains: what is COIN worth?\nThe company is currently appraised by Mr. Market to be worth an Enterprise Value of $50.8 billion and is expected to generate ~$6.3 billion in revenue in 2021 followed by $5.9 billion in 2022. The EBITDA margin is expected to be 47.7% in 2021 and then decline to 39.2% in 2022 on declining revenue and increased competition in the exchange business.\nWhile these estimates are nice, if not useful to some extent, COIN's revenue and profitability are extremely hard to predict in any given year due to the asset-light nature of the business and its heavy dependence on exchange volume in an immature and rapidly evolving asset class.\nThat said, a few things we are quite confident in are that:\n\nExchange business margins will compress meaningfully in the years to come.\nCOIN will continue to diversify rapidly away from its exchange business into ancillary businesses and within the next half decade these alternative sources of revenue should combine to exceed its exchange business revenue.\nCOIN will remain profitable and a leader in the cryptocurrency/blockchain tech and services space given its financial and personnel resources and sector-leading scale and early-mover advantage.\nBlockchain technology is here to stay with many valuable applications and cryptocurrencies of some sort will likely also continue to grow in popularity and acceptance.\n\nGiven these assumptions, here are a few possible scenarios and potential corresponding valuations for COIN:\nModel #1: \"Bear\" Case\nCOIN struggles to deliver on its innovations and misses its target of generating the majority of its revenue outside of its exchange business within 5 years and/or cryptocurrencies run into major regulatory headwinds that lead to weak institutional adoption. Instead of moving higher on the news, MARA stock moved lower.Further, over the past month, Marathon Digital’s stock’s lost one-third of its value. It would seem that investors have decided MARA stock isnotthe best way to play crypto in 2021.If that’s the case, what are the best bets over the next eight months and beyond? I’ve got three suggestions.InvestorPlace’sFaizan Farooque recently discussedfive Blockchain ETFsthat are making things happen. Of the five,Amplify Transformational Data Sharing ETF(NYSEARCA:BLOK) has gathered the most assets at$1.29 billion. It’s also the only ETF of the bunch that owns some of the crypto miners, including Marathon Digital, at 3.87% of its portfolio. So, I’m going to go with three of its holdings. The First Choice Other Than MARA StockMy first choice isNocturne Acquisition Corp(NASDAQ:MBTC). It is a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) thatsold 10 million unitsto raise$100 millionin late March.“[W]e intend to concentrate our efforts in identifying a target in the disruptive technology market with an equity value of approximately $300 million to $1 billion,” states its prospectus. “We believe disruptive technology companies that focus on blockchain and artificial intelligence are potential attractive targets.”I realize it’s a bit of a moonshot, but given the SPAC’s CEO is already involved in amoonshot artificial intelligence companybacked by high-profile investors such as the Gigafund, I couldn’t resist.I’ve lost some of my interest in SPACs, but given it’s trading below its $10 IPO price as I write this, I feel as though the downside isn’t nearly as high as what might happen to MARA stock should it report any bad news in the next 2-3 months. The Second Choice Is BLOK’s Top HoldingMicroStrategy(NASDAQ:MSTR) is the top holding in BLOK with a weighting of 5.41%. If you’re unfamiliar with MSTR, it is a provider of enterprise data analytics andbusiness intelligence software. However, the company’s decision to purchase Bitcoin for its balance sheet has garnered so much interest.“In 2020, our company determined that there was a tectonic shift taking place in the financial markets and overall economy. To meet the cost of capital and to enhance the value of the company, we took the innovative approach of adopting bitcoin as our primary treasury reserve asset,” CEO Michael Saylor wrote in MicroStrategy’s 2020 shareholder letter. “We were the first publicly-traded company to pursue thisstrategy and purchase bitcoin on a large scale.”It held91,579 Bitcoinas of Apr. 5, 2021. These were purchased at an average price of $24,311 per Bitcoin. As I write this, Bitcoin is trading at $56,127. That’s a 131% return on its investment to date.In aTimeinterview in March, Saylor suggested that the company’s move was “arational actionin response to monetary inflation.” He believes it’s a unique new technology and a legitimate store of value. The article is a quick but interesting read.As a result of its investment in Bitcoin, Saylor stated in his shareholder letter that it is looking for ways “to apply bitcoin-related technologies such as blockchain analytics into our software offerings.”I believe the most successful crypto and blockchain investments will be those that provide utility. MicroStrategy will continue to look for ways to add value to its clients. Blockchain is one of them.A Very Interesting Third OptionIf you go toSBI Holdings’(OTCMKTS:SBHGF) website, your first impression will probably be that a preschooler designed it. It isn’t very good, but that’s what has me interested.SBI first announced in October 2020 thatRipple Labswould invest in MoneyTap, the company’s blockchain money-transfer app first developed by SBI Ripple Asia, ajoint venturebetween the two companies in 2018. MoneyTap uses RippleNet to provide payment services.Ripple Labs’ investment in MoneyTap was completed at the end of January. It nowowns 33%,with two Ripple executives added to the eight-person board.SBI’s latest fiscal year was a good one, withsales up 47%over last year to 541.1 billion Japanese Yen ($5.0 billion) with profits of 116% to 81.1 billion Japanese Yen ($740.0 million).Of the three, SBI intrigues me the most, but clearly, I’ve got to do some more reading to understand what precisely an investor gets by buying its stock. At first blush, though, I can see why it’s BLOK’s eighth-largest holding.Marathon Digital fell nearly 8%.On the date of publication, Will Ashworth did not have (either directly or indirectly) any positions in the securities mentioned in this article.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":394,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":105689341,"gmtCreate":1620298162883,"gmtModify":1704341521509,"author":{"id":"3577100541073016","authorId":"3577100541073016","name":"Ephy","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/662be91506e5b636faffa77d122422a5","crmLevel":7,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3577100541073016","authorIdStr":"3577100541073016"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"To the moon!","listText":"To the moon!","text":"To the moon!","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/105689341","repostId":"1197402336","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1197402336","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1620273156,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1197402336?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-05-06 11:52","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Is Ethereum Classic's Outpacing Of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin Gains All About Being 'Cheaper?'","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1197402336","media":"Benzinga","summary":"Gains in Ethereum Classic(ETC) continue to outpace the ones made by the cryptocurrency’s peers Bitco","content":"
Gains in Ethereum Classic(ETC) continue to outpace the ones made by the cryptocurrency’s peers Bitcoin(BTC),Ethereum(ETH), andDogecoin(DOGE), which all enjoy larger market capitalizations.

What Happened:ETC has soared 160.83% in a seven-day trailing period, while BTC and ETH have risen 3.54% and 26.80% in a similar period, according to CoinMarketCap data.

At press time on Wednesday night, ETC traded 16.85% higher at $90.06 in a 24-hour period. This has put the market capitalization at $48.7 billion. Although, as has been the case with other hot tech operators lately, PLTR stock has come under pressure. The price has gone from a high of $45 to $26.70.
\n
Founded in 2003, Palantir has become one of the top players in developing sophisticated AI (Artificial Intelligence) and ML (Machine Learning) systems. Last year, the company posted $1.1 billion in revenues, up about 47% on a year-over- year basis.
\n
When the company started, the focus was on government customers. Often the applications were to help with confidential activities like hunting down terrorists. There was even speculation that Palantir helped to locate Osama bin Laden.
\n
But over the past decade, Palantir has leveraged its technologies into commercial markets and has been able to snag customers like BP(NYSE:BP),Rio Tinto(NYSE:RIO) and PG&E(NYSE:PCG). This expansion of the business has increased the market potential to a staggering $119 billion.
\n
OK then, what now for PLTR stock? With the recent weakness, is there an opportunity here? Well, I actually think investors should be patient on this. There are some nagging issues with the company.
\n
Let’s take a look.
\n
The Growth Story
\n
It’s important to note that – during the history of Palantir – the growth has been choppy and inconsistent. And this should not be a surprise. The company’s contracts are large and usually last several years. As a result, the sale cycle can be tough and prolonged.
\n
This appears to have been evident in the latest quarter, as the growth ramp is starting to decelerated. Based on the full-year forecast, the revenues are expected to increase about 30%.
\n
Granted, this may be a conservative forecast. But then again, it is still does look like there will some headwinds this year.
\n
Valuation of PLTR Stock
\n
Yes, when it comes to stocks nowadays, valuation has not necessarily been an issue. But this sentiment is starting to change. If a company is unable to keep up the growth ramp, there could be more selling. As for PLTR stock, the multiple is still at a hefty 24 times sales.
\n
Something else: There has been notable insider selling at the company. When the IPO lock-up expired, the chief operating officer, Shyam Sankar, sold 757,510 shares at prices that ranged from $24.59 to $29. There was also the unloading of 2.7 million shares from three other executives. All in all, this is an indication that it could be tough for Palantir meet Wall Street expectations.
\n
The Commercial Business
\n
Palantir has two major software platforms. First, there is Gotham, which is focused on the needs of defense and intelligence agencies. The technology is essentially about “finding the needle in the haystack” by analyzing enormous amounts of data.
\n
Next, Palantir has the Foundry platform. And yes, it is primarily for commercial customers. The technology has been effective in helping to solve problems across a wide-array of industries like banking, pharmaceuticals, retail, insurance, energy and so on.
\n
Now the government business has done extremely well. Indeed, revenue from government customers were reported at $132 million, which is an 85% increase from last quarter.
\n
But the commercial side is another story. This has put the market capitalization at $48.7 billion. Although, as has been the case with other hot tech operators lately, PLTR stock has come under pressure. The price has gone from a high of $45 to $26.70.\nFounded in 2003, Palantir has become one of the top players in developing sophisticated AI (Artificial Intelligence) and ML (Machine Learning) systems. Last year, the company posted $1.1 billion in revenues, up about 47% on a year-over- year basis.\nWhen the company started, the focus was on government customers. Often the applications were to help with confidential activities like hunting down terrorists. There was even speculation that Palantir helped to locate Osama bin Laden.\nBut over the past decade, Palantir has leveraged its technologies into commercial markets and has been able to snag customers like BP(NYSE:BP),Rio Tinto(NYSE:RIO) and PG&E(NYSE:PCG). This expansion of the business has increased the market potential to a staggering $119 billion.\nOK then, what now for PLTR stock? With the recent weakness, is there an opportunity here? Well, I actually think investors should be patient on this. There are some nagging issues with the company.\nLet’s take a look.\nThe Growth Story\nIt’s important to note that – during the history of Palantir – the growth has been choppy and inconsistent. And this should not be a surprise. The company’s contracts are large and usually last several years. As a result, the sale cycle can be tough and prolonged.\nThis appears to have been evident in the latest quarter, as the growth ramp is starting to decelerated. Based on the full-year forecast, the revenues are expected to increase about 30%.\nGranted, this may be a conservative forecast. But then again, it is still does look like there will some headwinds this year.\nValuation of PLTR Stock\nYes, when it comes to stocks nowadays, valuation has not necessarily been an issue. But this sentiment is starting to change. If a company is unable to keep up the growth ramp, there could be more selling. As for PLTR stock, the multiple is still at a hefty 24 times sales.\nSomething else: There has been notable insider selling at the company. When the IPO lock-up expired, the chief operating officer, Shyam Sankar, sold 757,510 shares at prices that ranged from $24.59 to $29. There was also the unloading of 2.7 million shares from three other executives. All in all, this is an indication that it could be tough for Palantir meet Wall Street expectations.\nThe Commercial Business\nPalantir has two major software platforms. First, there is Gotham, which is focused on the needs of defense and intelligence agencies. The technology is essentially about “finding the needle in the haystack” by analyzing enormous amounts of data.\nNext, Palantir has the Foundry platform. And yes, it is primarily for commercial customers. The technology has been effective in helping to solve problems across a wide-array of industries like banking, pharmaceuticals, retail, insurance, energy and so on.\nNow the government business has done extremely well. Indeed, revenue from government customers were reported at $132 million, which is an 85% increase from last quarter.\nBut the commercial side is another story. The revenues were up a mere 4% in the quarter $132 million.\nWhy is this so? First of all, the Foundry technology is less mature. But the commercial category is also much more competitive. Palantir must fight against top companies like C3Ai(NYSE:AI). And with the continued surge in venture funding in Silicon Valley, there are startups emerging to capitalize on the AI opportunity.\nIt could get even tougher for Palantir to find new business and keep up the growth.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":239,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":321427942,"gmtCreate":1615464684686,"gmtModify":1704783098891,"author":{"id":"3577100541073016","authorId":"3577100541073016","name":"Ephy","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/662be91506e5b636faffa77d122422a5","crmLevel":7,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3577100541073016","authorIdStr":"3577100541073016"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow! $775!!","listText":"Wow! $775!!","text":"Wow! $775!!","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/321427942","repostId":"2118849981","repostType":2,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":191,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":323056912,"gmtCreate":1615292265636,"gmtModify":1704780689403,"author":{"id":"3577100541073016","authorId":"3577100541073016","name":"Ephy","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/662be91506e5b636faffa77d122422a5","crmLevel":7,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3577100541073016","authorIdStr":"3577100541073016"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"T-Mobile bad reception","listText":"T-Mobile bad reception","text":"T-Mobile bad reception","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/323056912","repostId":"1109340709","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":176,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":323097457,"gmtCreate":1615286816279,"gmtModify":1704780614480,"author":{"id":"3577100541073016","authorId":"3577100541073016","name":"Ephy","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/662be91506e5b636faffa77d122422a5","crmLevel":7,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3577100541073016","authorIdStr":"3577100541073016"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow","listText":"Wow","text":"Wow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/323097457","repostId":"1110839214","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1110839214","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Reuters.com brings you the latest news from around the world, covering breaking news in markets, business, politics, entertainment and technology","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Reuters","id":"1036604489","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/443ce19704621c837795676028cec868"},"pubTimestamp":1615285419,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1110839214?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-03-09 18:23","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Autohome set to raise $688 mln in Hong Kong secondary listing - sources","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1110839214","media":"Reuters","summary":"HONG KONG, March 9 (Reuters) - China's Autohome Inc is set to raise $688 million by pricing its shar","content":"
HONG KONG, March 9 (Reuters) - China's Autohome Inc is set to raise $688 million by pricing its shares at HK$176.3 ($22.71) each in its Hong Kong listing after its U.S. stock dropped by 12.5% on Monday, according to two sources with direct knowledge of the matter.

The online vehicle firm sold 30.29 million shares as part of the transaction.

The sources declined to be identified as the information was not yet made public.

Autohome did not respond to a request for comment.

Autohome's New York-listed American Depository Receipts (ADR) slid by 12.5% on Monday, as part of the rout felt across Wall Street. Another could see an increase in the rate paid on reserves to address issues in the money markets, while the Fed also might adjust the rate on overnight repo operations in the bond market. The mechanics of Operation Twist involve selling shorter-dated government notes and buying about the same dollar amount in longer-duration securities. The objective is to nudge up shorter-term rates and drive down those at the longer end, thus flattening the yield curve. The Fed ran the program both in 2011 and in 1961; a market participant familiar with the Fed's operations said central bank officials have been in contact with primary dealers to gauge the need for some intervention.'The perfect policy prescription'Longer-term bond yields have surged over the past two weeks to levels not seen since before the Covid-19 pandemic. While they remain low historically speaking, markets have been concernedover the pace of the increase. The bond market was calm Monday, with rates in the middle of the curve mostly lower.Implementing the scheme could help soothe some of the jangled nerves that accompanied a recent blast higher in interest rates from 5-year notes on up the curve. The \"twist\" is a nod toward adjusting the duration of its purchases to the longer end, and the buying and selling of equal weights mean the Fed's already bloated $7.5 trillion balance sheet won't be expanded further.\"The Fed is simultaneously losing control of both the US front end & back end rates curves for different reasons,\" Mark Cabana, rates strategist at Bank of America Global Research, said in a note to clients. \"Twist, a simultaneous selling of US front end Treasuries & buying of longer-dated [bonds], is the perfect policy prescription for the Fed, in our view.\"Cabana said the move \"kills three birds with one stone.\" Namely, it raises rates on the short end of the duration spectrum, provides stability on the back end and does not expand the balance sheet and thus require banks to hold more capital.\"We believe no other Fed balance sheet option can address each of these issues as effectively,\" he wrote. \"To be clear the Fed will twist to deal with market functioning issues, not economic problems.\"Indeed, the Fed iswelcoming some upward pressure on yieldsas it reflects a growing economy and rising inflation expectations toward the central bank's 2% goal. However, the trend presents some issues for the Fed that a weak 7-year note auction last week helped demonstrate. The Fed needs bond auctions to go well as a surge in supply is on the way from a federal government running what is expected to be a deficit of at least $2.3 trillion this year.Investors tend to shy away from longer-dated bonds during times of inflation as their rates can't keep up and cause bondholders to lose principal. That's why Cabana expects the Fed to sell $80 billion a month in Treasury bills and use it to buy bonds of duration past four and a half years.FOMC members at their November meeting discussed market expectations that the central bank would begin to lengthen the average duration of its purchases. Members endorsed \"ongoing careful consideration\" of the composition of its bond holdings.\"Participants noted that the Committee could provide more accommodation, if appropriate, by increasing the pace of purchases or by shifting its Treasury purchases to those with a longer maturity without increasing the size of its purchases,\" theminutes from that meetingstated.Raising rates on reserves and repoThere are other issues in the market, and that's why the Fed's actions may not be limited to Operation Twist. One other move it could do is increase the interest on excess reserves rate from 0.1% to 0.15%. Though there essentially are no excess reserves now due to the Fed dropping the minimum duringthe Covid-19 crisis, the IOER serves as a guardrail for some short-term rates, which is important to money market funds that have had to buy bills at negative real rates.\"The Fed essentially has to place a raised floor in the U.S. economy to keep things that need positive returns alive,\" said Fed veteran Christopher Whalen, head of Whalen Global Advisory. While he said he understands the IOER move, Whalen said he is skeptical of how successful the Fed will be with implementing Twist.\"No matter how well-intentioned they are, their efforts to engineer things are slowly weakening the system,\" he said. \"You have another bad auction or two and we're screwed.\"Still, Cabana said expects the Fed to begin signaling the additional moves as soon as this week. ChairmanJerome Powellspeaks Thursday during a Wall Street Journal event, and a slew of other Fed officials also are on tap to share their views this week.Markets worried over how things are running likely will welcome the Fed's moves, said Joseph Brusuelas, chief economist at RSM.In addition to the Twist implementation and adjustment on IOER, Brusuelas thinks the Fed also will increase the rate it pays on overnight repo operations from zero basis points to five. While Brusuelas said markets expected rising rates this year, \"what we didn't expect was an overreaction to the reflation of the domestic economy in the fixed income market. That clearly has gotten the attention of the Fed.\"\"The market would welcome the lifting of the IOER as well as any communication that it intends to twist the curve down to keep the economy on track,\" he added.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":250,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":365942612,"gmtCreate":1614693855936,"gmtModify":1704774106738,"author":{"id":"3577100541073016","authorId":"3577100541073016","name":"Ephy","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/662be91506e5b636faffa77d122422a5","crmLevel":7,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3577100541073016","authorIdStr":"3577100541073016"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Great","listText":"Great","text":"Great","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/365942612","repostId":"1177904697","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":264,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":365946240,"gmtCreate":1614693812680,"gmtModify":1704774105432,"author":{"id":"3577100541073016","authorId":"3577100541073016","name":"Ephy","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/662be91506e5b636faffa77d122422a5","crmLevel":7,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3577100541073016","authorIdStr":"3577100541073016"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Thank you","listText":"Thank you","text":"Thank you","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/365946240","repostId":"1187424506","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":201,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"hots":[{"id":9004805528,"gmtCreate":1642550310490,"gmtModify":1676533721168,"author":{"id":"3577100541073016","authorId":"3577100541073016","name":"Ephy","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/662be91506e5b636faffa77d122422a5","crmLevel":7,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3577100541073016","authorIdStr":"3577100541073016"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Awesome","listText":"Awesome","text":"Awesome","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9004805528","repostId":"1129959744","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1129959744","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1642520048,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1129959744?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-01-18 23:34","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Vinco Ventures Stock Surged Over 30% in Morning Trading","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1129959744","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Vinco Ventures Stock Surged Over 30% in Morning Trading. Journal","summary":"Wireless carrier tells subscribers it could share their browsing, app data and other online activity","content":"
Wireless carrier tells subscribers it could share their browsing, app data and other online activity with advertisers unless they opt out
\n
T-Mobile US Inc. will automatically enroll its phone subscribers in an advertising program informed by their online activity, testing businesses’ appetite for information that other companies have restricted.
\n
The No. 2 U.S. carrier by subscribers said in a recent privacy-policy update that unless they opt out it will share customers’ web and mobile-app data with advertisers starting April 26. For example, the program could help advertisers identify people who enjoy cooking or are sports enthusiasts, the company said.
\n
T-Mobile’s new policy will also cover Sprint customers acquired through the carriers’ 2020 merger.
