The currency has also gained amid abroader bout of dollar weakness.
\n
On Tuesday, the offshore yuan strengthened below 6.4 per dollar, as Chinese stocks jumped thanks partly to a surge in foreign buying.
\n
Beijing would want to see slower yuan appreciationto support the economy, which is still fairly dependent on selling goods abroad, said Alvin Tan, head of Asia foreign-exchange strategy at RBC Capital Markets. While Chinese exports have surged since last year,a rallying yuan pressures exportersby making their goods more expensive when priced in dollars.
\n
Mr. Tan said the People’s Bank of China had been “leaning against the strength” of the currency by setting weaker-than-expected reference rates for onshore yuan trading for the past month.
\n
The central bank fixes a daily midpoint for the onshore yuan, and only allows trading up to 2 percentage points above or below this level. This is part of a so-called managed floating-exchange-rate system based on the yuan’s value against a basket of currencies.
\n
The yuan is likely to stay between 6.4 and 6.5 to a dollar, while further appreciation could prompt stronger central bank action, said Paul Sandhu, head of multiasset quant solutions for Asia-Pacific at BNP Paribas Asset Management.
\n
“The government is quite happy with the range it is sitting at. If it breaks 6.4 and stays there for some time, they may move in to do something,” Mr. Sandhu said.
\n
On Tuesday in Hong Kong, the offshore yuan rallied about 0.2% to 6.3988 to the dollar, a level last hit in June 2018. The dollar weakened, with theICEU.S. Dollar Index declining nearly 0.3% to 89.61, its lowest since early January.
\n
China’s CSI 300 index, a gauge of the biggest shares listed in either Shanghai or Shenzhen, jumped 3.2%. Net foreign buying of mainland Chinese shares through Stock Connect, a trading link with Hong Kong, hit a record daily high of 21.7 billion yuan, or the equivalent of $3.4 billion.
\n
Tuesday’s yuan strength was also likely due in part to the coming month-end, before which exporters normally sell earnings in foreign currency to buy yuan, said Khoon Goh, head of Asia research atAustralia and New Zealand Banking GroupLtd.in Singapore.
\n
The central bank is eager to promote the idea that the currency won’t be volatile, but that it also won’t be a one-way bet for investors. On Sunday, a senior central-bank official said the yuan will remain “basically stable.” Liu Guoqiang, a deputy governor, said fluctuations in either direction will become the norm, with the exchange rate depending on supply and demand, and changes in global financial markets.
\n
Mr. Liu also said the current exchange-rate system was suitable for China. A researcher at the central bank recently called for China to stop controlling the rate to promote greater international use of the yuan. Another suggested the yuan should be allowed to rally, to offset rising prices for imported commodities.
","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
China’s Yuan Hits Strongest Level in Nearly Three Years
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nChina’s Yuan Hits Strongest Level in Nearly Three Years\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-05-26 08:56 GMT+8 The Wall Street Journal\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
The currency has been buoyed by the country’s rapid recovery from the coronavirus pandemic.\n\nChina’s yuan has strengthened to a near-three-year high, boosted by a falling dollar despite attempts by ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{"399001":"深证成指","399006":"创业板指","000001.SH":"上证指数"},"source_url":"https://www.wsj.com/articles/chinas-yuan-hits-strongest-level-in-nearly-three-years-11621950836?cx_testId=200&cx_testVariant=cx_10&cx_artPos=1#cxrecs_s","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/e9f99090a1c2ed51c021029395664489","article_id":"1182975704","content_text":"The currency has been buoyed by the country’s rapid recovery from the coronavirus pandemic.\n\nChina’s yuan has strengthened to a near-three-year high, boosted by a falling dollar despite attempts by the central bank to keep the currency in check.\nThe yuan has been buoyed in recent months by the country’s rapid recovery from the coronavirus pandemic, and by a rush of international investment into China’s relatively high-yielding markets. If it breaks 6.4 and stays there for some time, they may move in to do something,” Mr. Sandhu said.\nOn Tuesday in Hong Kong, the offshore yuan rallied about 0.2% to 6.3988 to the dollar, a level last hit in June 2018. The dollar weakened, with theICEU.S. Dollar Index declining nearly 0.3% to 89.61, its lowest since early January.\nChina’s CSI 300 index, a gauge of the biggest shares listed in either Shanghai or Shenzhen, jumped 3.2%. Net foreign buying of mainland Chinese shares through Stock Connect, a trading link with Hong Kong, hit a record daily high of 21.7 billion yuan, or the equivalent of $3.4 billion.\nTuesday’s yuan strength was also likely due in part to the coming month-end, before which exporters normally sell earnings in foreign currency to buy yuan, said Khoon Goh, head of Asia research atAustralia and New Zealand Banking GroupLtd.in Singapore.\nThe central bank is eager to promote the idea that the currency won’t be volatile, but that it also won’t be a one-way bet for investors. On Sunday, a senior central-bank official said the yuan will remain “basically stable.” Liu Guoqiang, a deputy governor, said fluctuations in either direction will become the norm, with the exchange rate depending on supply and demand, and changes in global financial markets.\nMr. Liu also said the current exchange-rate system was suitable for China. A researcher at the central bank recently called for China to stop controlling the rate to promote greater international use of the yuan. Another suggested the yuan should be allowed to rally, to offset rising prices for imported commodities.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":47,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9963110211,"gmtCreate":1668615383334,"gmtModify":1676538085294,"author":{"id":"3577317477186276","authorId":"3577317477186276","name":"Agustins","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/635e74bfea05a9ca01d2dcfbd6fc9cc5","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3577317477186276","authorIdStr":"3577317477186276"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Sundial Growers Inc.(SNDL)$ 🚀","listText":"$Sundial Growers Inc.(SNDL)$ 🚀","text":"$Sundial Growers Inc.(SNDL)$ 🚀","images":[{"img":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/f29814d2eb78487471aa60dc008103ea","width":"1080","height":"2470"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":7,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9963110211","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":188,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":136692112,"gmtCreate":1622011698636,"gmtModify":1704366038286,"author":{"id":"3577317477186276","authorId":"3577317477186276","name":"Agustins","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/635e74bfea05a9ca01d2dcfbd6fc9cc5","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3577317477186276","authorIdStr":"3577317477186276"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Will free fall soon, control market, soon will be worthless ","listText":"Will free fall soon, control market, soon will be worthless ","text":"Will free fall soon, control market, soon will be worthless","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/136692112","repostId":"1182975704","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1182975704","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1621990601,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1182975704?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-05-26 08:56","market":"fut","language":"en","title":"China’s Yuan Hits Strongest Level in Nearly Three Years","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1182975704","media":"The Wall Street Journal","summary":"The currency has been buoyed by the country’s rapid recovery from the coronavirus pandemic.\n\nChina’s","content":"
\n The currency has been buoyed by the country’s rapid recovery from the coronavirus pandemic.\n
\n
China’s yuan has strengthened to a near-three-year high, boosted by a falling dollar despite attempts by the central bank to keep the currency in check.
\n
The yuan has been buoyed in recent months by the country’s rapid recovery from the coronavirus pandemic, and by a rush of international investment into China’s relatively high-yielding markets. The company has a charismatic billionaire founder, business operations focused on China's rapidly growing internet economy, and strong and growing cash flow. Yet amidst this, Alibaba has fallen from its peak of over $300 per share to under $240 per share as of my writing this. When you look at Alibaba's financial statements, the valuation immediately seems low compared to its explosive growth of revenue, earnings, and cash flow. Something has to give with the valuation, which in my mind offers up a couple of hypotheses regarding Alibaba.
\n
Hypothesis 1:Alibaba stock is extremely undervalued. If you take Alibaba'sincome statementat face value, the growth in earnings is simply incredible. Then if you look at Alibaba'searnings estimatesfor the next couple of years, you see a stock that trades for around 21x current fiscal years' earnings and has earnings growth estimates of close to 20 percent annually. All else being equal, this implies a total return of nearly 25 percent annually for BABA shareholders. The market typically doesn't offer up softball pitches like this, especially in the current bull market, which forces us to consider hypothesis 2.
\n
Hypothesis 2: Alibaba's accounting and/or corporate governance cannot be trusted and the stock is not undervalued.Chinese stocks in general have a poor reputation for accounting quality. A simple look at CCP statistics like GDP numbers or coronavirus case statistics tells you that their numbers are often implausible. This doesn't necessarily mean that Alibaba's books are problematic per se, but it does help explain the discount to Alibaba's apparent fair value. A two-sided discussion on Alibaba's accounting can be found inJulian Lin's recent Alibaba articleand in the comment section for said article.
\n
I generally trust Alibaba's accounting, but the corporate governance issue is thorny. The research I've done over the years has indicated to me that GDP growth has little to no correlation with stock market returns for any given country. Thestrongest correlation I could findwas the correlation between rule of law, property rights, and corporate governance on one hand and stock market returns on the other. For this reason, I do not recommend any investors to put money in emerging market ETFs as they consistently fail to hold up to my qualitative and quantitative tests. There are often great value plays to be found abroad, but buying indices tend to offer poor risk/reward. International high dividend yield funds like Vanguard's (VYMI) are another nice shortcut to find companies with good corporate governance. Cash payments are hard to fake, after all!
\n
This is historically an issue when investing in Asian markets, as stock market returns have badly lagged GDP growth. Japanese companies are a good example of this issue, historically they paid little to no dividends and hoarded cash on their balance sheet. The companies often were run to benefit their employees and management rather than to benefit shareholders. This, combined with a very high starting valuation explained 30 years of sideways returns for the Nikkei. Things are changing in Japan, however, and Warren Buffett has made several large investments there. China has had similar growing pains with corporate governance but is getting better over time. Chinese companies arepaying out more of their earnings in dividends, which is an encouraging sign. I still wouldn't broadly invest in Chinese stocks, but there is value to be had if you're willing to dig. Chinese internet stocks are seeing rapid growth and strong profitability, which is a different tune than many commodity-driven emerging markets.
\n
If Alibaba traded for 40x earnings I could easily point to the risks and say to toss the stock. What makes Alibaba so interesting is that it trades for a lower valuation than the average S&P 500 stock, but has Amazon-like revenue and earnings upside. BABA stock has thus been successful since being listed on US exchanges.
\n
Data byYCharts
\n
With this in mind, let's look at Alibaba's fundamentals and put a forecast on the stock.
\n
Alibaba Stock Forecast
\n
Alibaba is a very complex business. Unlike Amazon, which is basically one brand, Alibaba has a spiderweb of subsidiaries (a good starting point to get a handle on their subsidiaries is theirlatest earnings presentation). Having this level of complexity in a business makes it hard to analyze, but there is some good stuff in there. Cloud computing with 50 percent year over year revenue growth immediately stands out to me as something that could move the needle on Alibaba's overall results. I'll be completely honest, Alibaba's business is more complex than I have the ability to fully analyze. The issues with the Ant Group IPO and various antitrust issues with the CCP are also out of my core area of expertise.
\n
What I can do in the absence of any special expertise is to build a simple model using analyst consensus earnings estimates to put a price target on the stock. This gives us a yardstick that we can use. I can't necessarily quantify the political risk to Alibaba, but what I can quantify is the compensation that the share price is giving you for all known and unknown risks to the business. This, for Alibaba and any stock, is the earnings yield. If I have a stock I own like Altria (MO) that trades for about 10x earnings, then I know if I hold the stock for a year, the business is going to earn me 1/10th of my investment back. In Altria's case, most of this will be paid as a dividend, which is great. This earnings yield is the engine that drives successful investing in value stocks, which over the long run tend to outperform the market. In the case of a company like Tesla, you're paying over 150x earnings for the business, so you will need everything to go right at the business over the next 10 years to see a good return. Over the next year, anything can happen to the share price, but over a 5-10 year period, business fundamentals drive a greater and greater percentage of stock returns. This gets us to Alibaba.
\n
Alibaba trades for a little less than 21x earnings. This means if you hold Alibaba for 1 year you earn about 4.8 percent of your investment in earnings. If Alibaba paid a dividend, they could write you a check for this. Alibaba does not pay a dividend however but reinvests the money for more growth. This leads us to the second part of the model, which adjusts for earnings growth. One way to put a price target on the stock is to take the earnings estimates for 5 years out (if they exist), and then use the current price to earnings multiple on the stock. Only a few analysts have earnings estimates for Alibaba for 5 years out, but the average earnings estimate for the fiscal year ending in March 2026 is $24.48 per share. Put a 21x multiple on this and you get a price target of $514 per share. In this case, you'd make 2.2x your money in Alibaba stock. Alibaba has a history of beating analyst estimates quite handily as well, so it's possible that these estimates are too low and you'd see Alibaba earning $30+ per share, which could triple your money.
\n
The question that you need to ask yourself is whether Alibaba's valuation is low enough to compensate for the main risks we see in the stock, which are antitrust issues, corporate governance, accounting, etc. At first glance, I think that there is enough compensation here for Alibaba shareholders. Since I personally lack expertise in China though, I bought the dip in the KraneShares CSI China Internet ETF (KWEB). These fears are reasonable but likely overblown.\nIf you take its growth at face value, Alibaba stock should more than double in the next 5 years.\nAn ETF option for investors looking to play Chinese internet stocks.\n\nIs Alibaba Stock A Buy Or Sell?\nAlibaba Group(NYSE:BABA)has all the makings of a great story stock. Something has to give with the valuation, which in my mind offers up a couple of hypotheses regarding Alibaba.\nHypothesis 1:Alibaba stock is extremely undervalued. The market typically doesn't offer up softball pitches like this, especially in the current bull market, which forces us to consider hypothesis 2.\nHypothesis 2: Alibaba's accounting and/or corporate governance cannot be trusted and the stock is not undervalued.Chinese stocks in general have a poor reputation for accounting quality. A simple look at CCP statistics like GDP numbers or coronavirus case statistics tells you that their numbers are often implausible. This doesn't necessarily mean that Alibaba's books are problematic per se, but it does help explain the discount to Alibaba's apparent fair value. A two-sided discussion on Alibaba's accounting can be found inJulian Lin's recent Alibaba articleand in the comment section for said article.\nI generally trust Alibaba's accounting, but the corporate governance issue is thorny. Cash payments are hard to fake, after all!\nThis is historically an issue when investing in Asian markets, as stock market returns have badly lagged GDP growth. Chinese internet stocks are seeing rapid growth and strong profitability, which is a different tune than many commodity-driven emerging markets.\nIf Alibaba traded for 40x earnings I could easily point to the risks and say to toss the stock. What makes Alibaba so interesting is that it trades for a lower valuation than the average S&P 500 stock, but has Amazon-like revenue and earnings upside. BABA stock has thus been successful since being listed on US exchanges.\nData byYCharts\nWith this in mind, let's look at Alibaba's fundamentals and put a forecast on the stock.\nAlibaba Stock Forecast\nAlibaba is a very complex business. The issues with the Ant Group IPO and various antitrust issues with the CCP are also out of my core area of expertise.\nWhat I can do in the absence of any special expertise is to build a simple model using analyst consensus earnings estimates to put a price target on the stock. This gets us to Alibaba.\nAlibaba trades for a little less than 21x earnings. Alibaba has a history of beating analyst estimates quite handily as well, so it's possible that these estimates are too low and you'd see Alibaba earning $30+ per share, which could triple your money.\nThe question that you need to ask yourself is whether Alibaba's valuation is low enough to compensate for the main risks we see in the stock, which are antitrust issues, corporate governance, accounting, etc. At first glance, I think that there is enough compensation here for Alibaba shareholders. Since I personally lack expertise in China though, I bought the dip in the KraneShares CSI China Internet ETF (KWEB). The standard deviation on KWEB is about a third lower than it is on BABA stock, and I think the upside is similar. It's not a big holding for me, but the dip in Chinese internet stocks intrigues me, so I bought in. If you recall, I'm not a fan of emerging market stocks as part of an asset allocation plan, instead, this trade comes from my opinion on Chinese internet stocks being undervalued compared to the analyst consensus of what their earnings can be over the next 3-5 years.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":95,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9990863518,"gmtCreate":1660339189936,"gmtModify":1676533451825,"author":{"id":"3577317477186276","authorId":"3577317477186276","name":"Agustins","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/635e74bfea05a9ca01d2dcfbd6fc9cc5","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3577317477186276","authorIdStr":"3577317477186276"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Sundial Growers Inc.(SNDL)$[Miser] [Miser] [Miser] ","listText":"$Sundial Growers Inc.(SNDL)$[Miser] [Miser] [Miser] ","text":"$Sundial Growers Inc.(SNDL)$[Miser] [Miser] [Miser]","images":[{"img":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/81010b7ee81729783d4152f97841273f","width":"1080","height":"2456"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9990863518","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":494,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":137506239,"gmtCreate":1622357611521,"gmtModify":1704183439911,"author":{"id":"3577317477186276","authorId":"3577317477186276","name":"Agustins","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/635e74bfea05a9ca01d2dcfbd6fc9cc5","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3577317477186276","authorIdStr":"3577317477186276"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Great news ","listText":"Great news ","text":"Great news","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/137506239","repostId":"2138148819","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2138148819","kind":"highlight","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Dow Jones publishes the world’s most trusted business news and financial information in a variety of media.","home_visible":0,"media_name":"Dow Jones","id":"106","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/150f88aa4d182df19190059f4a365e99"},"pubTimestamp":1622214180,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2138148819?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-05-28 23:03","market":"us","language":"en","title":"U.S. stops distributing Lilly's COVID-19 antibody therapy in six states, instead recommends Regeneron's treatment","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2138148819","media":"Dow Jones","summary":"MW U.S. stops distributing Lilly's COVID-19 antibody therapy in six states, instead recommends Regen","content":"
MW U.S. stops distributing Lilly's COVID-19 antibody therapy in six states, instead recommends Regeneron's treatment

The U.S. government said this week it is halting distribution of Eli Lilly & Co.'s $(LLY)$ COVID-19 antibody treatment in six states due to the growing prevalence of the P.1 and B.1.351 variants there. It has been constantly increasing its deliveries every quarter, its revenues have been growing at a triple-digit rate in recent years, and despite competing in the luxurious SUV segment, its cars are more affordable in comparison to the cars of its peers such as Tesla(NASDAQ:TSLA). While NIO's stock has depreciated last month, there's every reason to believe that its growth story is far from over, as the Chinese EV market will continue to aggressively expand in the upcoming years and the penetration of electric vehicles on its roads is only going to increase. Considering this, the company has all the chances to create additional shareholder value in the long run.
\n
Dominating the Chinese Market
\n
Founded in 2014, NIO is an electric vehicle manufacturer that's headquartered in Shanghai, China. The company mostly specializes in the development of luxurious electric SUVs and just likeXPeng(XPEV), it manufactures and sells its cars online and through its showrooms across China. In addition, NIO also offers various energy-related solutions such as home charging stations, mobile charging services, and others to its customers.
\n
In recent years, the company has been aggressively growing, as the deliveries of its cars have been steadily increasing quarter after quarter, which led to the appreciation of its stock. However, due to the overall market selloff last month, NIO's stock along with stocks of other EV manufacturers such as XPeng, Tesla, and Li Auto (LI) evaporated most of its YTD gains and are currently underperforming the S&P 500 Index.
\n

\n
Chart: Seeking Alpha
\n
Despite this, there's every reason to believe that NIO's stock will recover, as the company's successful performance in Q1 shows that its growth story is far from over. InQ1alone NIO beat the Street expectations by $160 million and generated $1.22 billion in revenues, which represents an increase of 481.8% Y/Y. In addition, the company's gross profit was $237.3 million, while its vehicle margin was 21.2% against -7.4% a year ago. During the period, NIO has also improved its bottom-line performance, as its net loss was only $68.8 million, and despite the chip shortages and the Chinese New Year its deliveries have also increased by 422.7% Y/Y and by 15.6% Q/Q to 20,060.
\n
One of the best things about NIO is that it already has a dominant position in the Chinese EV industry and it also has a solid balance sheet, as its cash reserves at the end of Q1stoodat $7.2 billion, while it had only $1.59 billion in long-term debt. As a result, it can easily reinvest its resources back into the business to drive growth and establish an even stronger foothold in its home market without worrying too much about the current losses.
\n
On top of that, while some might say that by trading at a price-to-salesratioof ~13x NIO is overvalued, the reality is that its momentum is not slowing down and there's every reason to believe that the growth story is far from over. Considering that even at the market cap of ~$70 billion NIO still trades below the Streetconsensusprice of $59.24 per share, it's safe to assume that the upside is still there, especially since the current forecasts suggest that the company will increase its revenues from $2.49 billion in FY20 to $8.81 billion in FY22.
\n

\n
Source: Seeking Alpha
\n
At this stage, the major competitor of NIO's flagship SUVES8is Tesla's Model X. However, there are several reasons to believe that the ES8 is a more attractive car in comparison to the Model X, and as a result, NIO has all the opportunities to outsell its competitor in China in the long run. First of all, the ES8 has more legroom and headroom than the Model X, it also has a luxurious interior, and it comes with three different battery packages that could last from 415 kilometers to 580 kilometers on a single charge.
\n
All of the ES8 SUVs include a proprietary operating system, have advanced navigation software, and most importantly cost ~$70,000 per vehicle in China, which is below the cost of Tesla's Model X, which comes at a price tag of ~$110,000 per vehicle in the region. We believe that this pricing advantage will undoubtedly help NIO to outsell Tesla in the SUV segment, especially since its cars now could bepurchasedat a discount thanks to the new Chinese subsidy program.
\n
Another uniqueness of NIO is its battery as a service business model, which allows its customers to swap their batteries in various swapping stations around China if they don't want to charge their cars or are in a hurry. After recently deploying the second version of its Power Swap stations, the swapping of batteries is now done in under three minutes, which is the same as refueling a traditional ICE car, and a single station now could perform up to 312 battery swaps in a single day. NIO now has a network of charging stations across all of China and if the solid-state batteries won't be available by the end of the decade at scale, then the idea of swapping batteries on the go will remain a viable business model in the long run.
\n
Going forward, NIO plans to accelerate its deliveries this month in order to meet its Q2 goal of delivering 21,000 to 22,000 vehicles, which represents a growth of 103% Y/Y to 113% Y/Y and plans to generate $1.24 to $1.29 billion in revenues during the period. Despite the semiconductor shortages, NIO already managed to increase its deliveries in April and May to 7,102 vehicles and 6,711 vehicles, respectively, which represents a growth of 125% Y/Y and 95.3% Y/Y, respectively. On top of that, NIO is also on track to deliver 90,000 to 100,000 vehicles this year.
\n
Considering this, there's every reason to believe that NIO will continue to be a dominant player in the Chinese EV market and a leader of the luxury EV segment in the region. While the company doesn't have an infrastructure outside China, we don't think that's a downside at all since China is the biggest EV market in the world that's constantly growing and NIO has better chances of creating shareholder value there than abroad. For that reason, we believe that NIO's growth story is far from over and it's likely that as long as its deliveries increase with every quarter, its stock will be rising in value in the long run.
","source":"seekingalpha","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
NIO: Buy This Chinese EV Manufacturer While It's Still Cheap
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nNIO: Buy This Chinese EV Manufacturer While It's Still Cheap\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-06-11 21:11 GMT+8 seekingalpha\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Summary\n\nNIO is a dominant EV manufacturer in the electric SUV segment in China.\nDespite competing in the luxurious SUV segment, its cars are more affordable in comparison to the cars of its peers ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{"NIO":"蔚来"},"source_url":"https://seekingalpha.com/article/4434085-nio-buy-this-chinese-ev-manufacturer-while-its-still-cheap","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/5a36db9d73b4222bc376d24ccc48c8a4","article_id":"1146386859","content_text":"Summary\n\nNIO is a dominant EV manufacturer in the electric SUV segment in China.\nDespite competing in the luxurious SUV segment, its cars are more affordable in comparison to the cars of its peers such as Tesla.\nAs the Chinese EV market will continue to aggressively expand in the upcoming years, we believe that NIO has all the chances to create additional shareholder value in the future.\n\nNIO(NYSE:NIO)is a dominant EV manufacturer in the electric SUV segment in China. For that reason, we believe that NIO's growth story is far from over and it's likely that as long as its deliveries increase with every quarter, its stock will be rising in value in the long run.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":168,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":116848019,"gmtCreate":1622792601031,"gmtModify":1704191269120,"author":{"id":"3577317477186276","authorId":"3577317477186276","name":"Agustins","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/635e74bfea05a9ca01d2dcfbd6fc9cc5","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3577317477186276","authorIdStr":"3577317477186276"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Sure ","listText":"Sure ","text":"Sure","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/19191dcd9f93e43d1aab6be007a9407d","width":"1080","height":"2114"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/116848019","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":198,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9904682171,"gmtCreate":1660035013895,"gmtModify":1703477208881,"author":{"id":"3577317477186276","authorId":"3577317477186276","name":"Agustins","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/635e74bfea05a9ca01d2dcfbd6fc9cc5","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3577317477186276","authorIdStr":"3577317477186276"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Houston American(HUSA)$[Happy] ","listText":"$Houston American(HUSA)$[Happy] ","text":"$Houston American(HUSA)$[Happy]","images":[{"img":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/d5eb3cf905375f6a29c86d586342809a","width":"1080","height":"2348"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9904682171","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":477,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"lives":[]}
