Why the Market May Already Be Looking Past Them.","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1108884592","media":"Barrons","summary":"Apple shares recently surged to new all-time highs, amid heightened investor anticipation of June-qu","content":"
Apple shares recently surged to new all-time highs, amid heightened investor anticipation of June-quarter earnings, due after the closing bell on Tuesday. But it’s the launch of the next generation of iPhones, expected to be unveiled in September, that might be the real difference-maker.
\n
Apple’s recent rally has not erased concerns about the stock. Growing regulatory scrutiny of Big Tech generally and Apple (ticker: AAPL) in particular, with a specific focus on the fees Apple charges developers who distribute applications on the company’s App Store for iPhones, iPads, and Macs, is the obvious one. There are also worries about tough year-over-year comparisons, and some investors fear that the recently robust growth in Mac and iPads sales will slow as the economy returns to more normal conditions. Others are nervous that the next set of iPhones will provide only incremental improvements, and that demand could disappoint.
\n
But no one seems to be too worried about the earning themselves. The Wall Street consensus for the fiscal third quarter is for $72.9 billion in revenue and profits of $1 a share. Even analysts who are cautious about the stock think those numbers are too low. For instance, BofA Global Research analyst Wamsi Mohan is projecting revenue of $77 billion, with profits of $1.05 a share, driven by strength across the company’s hardware portfolio. Mohan still has a Neutral rating and $160 price target on the stock, however, and cautions that the company faces tough comparisons in the quarters ahead given spikes in Mac and iPad sales during the pandemic.
\n
He’s got a point. In the March quarter, Apple’s sales surged 54%, driven by strong growth across the portfolio, with sales increases of 66% for iPhone, 70% for Macs, 79% for iPads, 25% for wearables, and 27% for Services. Street consensus estimates for the June quarter call for $34.2 billion in iPhone sales, $7.2 billion for iPads, $7.9 billion for Macs, $7.8 billion for wearables, home, and accessories, and $16.3 billion for services.
\n
The company did not provide detailed guidance for the quarter, but cautioned that sales could be reduced by as much as $4 billion due to a tight supply of Macs and iPads tied to component shortages.
\n
Still,Wedbush analyst Dan Ives thinks Apple is headed for another across-the-board beat, driven by continued strong demand for iPhone 12, with particularly strong demand in China. “While the chip shortage was an overhang for Apple during the quarter, we believe the iPhone and Services strength in the quarter neutralized any short-term weakness that the Street was anticipating three months ago,” Ives writes. The analyst says Apple remains his favorite large-cap tech pick, with a “1-2 punch” of services and iPhone demand. He thinks the company can reach the $3 trillion market capitalization level in 2022, from just under $2.5 trillion now. Ives keeps his Outperform rating and $185 target price.
\n
Canaccord analyst T. Michael Walkley also reupped his Buy rating on Apple shares, while boosting his target price to $175, from $165. He likewise expects June quarter results to beat Street estimates. One interesting question is whether Apple will return to providing quarterly guidance, a practice the company suspended during the pandemic. If they do, Walkley says, expect the forecast to outstrip current Street projections.
\n
“Apple is well-positioned to continue to benefit from the 5G upgrade cycle, and we anticipate strong overall growth trends as 5G smartphones ramp and its installed base expands with higher-margins services revenue,” he writes. “Apple’s ecosystem approach, including an installed base that exceeds 1.65 billion devices globally and now over 1 billion iPhone users, should continue to generate strong services revenue.”
\n
But the big news might still be yet to come. Once the company navigates past earnings, Apple investors will zero in on the fall iPhone launch. (Let’s call it iPhone 13, although Apple hasn’t specifically named the new line.) Ives sees incremental improvements, including Lidar capability in all phones, which will improve their utility for augmented reality applications. More important is his observation that about 250 million of the installed base of nearly 1 billion iPhones are at least 3.5 years old and due for an upgrade.
\n
As Morgan Stanley’s Katy Huberty has noted, Apple shares tend to outperform the market heading into the launch of new phones. But it’s the launch of the next generation of iPhones, expected to be unveiled in September, that might be the real difference-maker.\nApple’s recent rally has not erased concerns about the stock. Others are nervous that the next set of iPhones will provide only incremental improvements, and that demand could disappoint.\nBut no one seems to be too worried about the earning themselves. Mohan still has a Neutral rating and $160 price target on the stock, however, and cautions that the company faces tough comparisons in the quarters ahead given spikes in Mac and iPad sales during the pandemic.\nHe’s got a point. In the March quarter, Apple’s sales surged 54%, driven by strong growth across the portfolio, with sales increases of 66% for iPhone, 70% for Macs, 79% for iPads, 25% for wearables, and 27% for Services. Street consensus estimates for the June quarter call for $34.2 billion in iPhone sales, $7.2 billion for iPads, $7.9 billion for Macs, $7.8 billion for wearables, home, and accessories, and $16.3 billion for services.\nThe company did not provide detailed guidance for the quarter, but cautioned that sales could be reduced by as much as $4 billion due to a tight supply of Macs and iPads tied to component shortages.\nStill,Wedbush analyst Dan Ives thinks Apple is headed for another across-the-board beat, driven by continued strong demand for iPhone 12, with particularly strong demand in China. Ives keeps his Outperform rating and $185 target price.\nCanaccord analyst T. Michael Walkley also reupped his Buy rating on Apple shares, while boosting his target price to $175, from $165. He likewise expects June quarter results to beat Street estimates. One interesting question is whether Apple will return to providing quarterly guidance, a practice the company suspended during the pandemic. If they do, Walkley says, expect the forecast to outstrip current Street projections.\n“Apple is well-positioned to continue to benefit from the 5G upgrade cycle, and we anticipate strong overall growth trends as 5G smartphones ramp and its installed base expands with higher-margins services revenue,” he writes. “Apple’s ecosystem approach, including an installed base that exceeds 1.65 billion devices globally and now over 1 billion iPhone users, should continue to generate strong services revenue.”\nBut the big news might still be yet to come. More important is his observation that about 250 million of the installed base of nearly 1 billion iPhones are at least 3.5 years old and due for an upgrade.\nAs Morgan Stanley’s Katy Huberty has noted, Apple shares tend to outperform the market heading into the launch of new phones. There’s no reason to think this year will be any different. Expect a strong June quarter from Apple, with higher highs likely as we approach the fall.\nWe can reassess after that.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":116,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":140747139,"gmtCreate":1625677856521,"gmtModify":1703746330493,"author":{"id":"3578548392576499","authorId":"3578548392576499","name":"Daruleeee","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/dd07abd6cd5ef4cf14f15cf35dd7e70f","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3578548392576499","authorIdStr":"3578548392576499"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Toppppp","listText":"Toppppp","text":"Toppppp","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":8,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/140747139","repostId":"2149313920","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2149313920","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Reuters.com brings you the latest news from around the world, covering breaking news in markets, business, politics, entertainment and technology","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Reuters","id":"1086160438","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a113a995fbbc262262d15a5ce37e7bc5"},"pubTimestamp":1625670463,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2149313920?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-07-07 23:07","market":"hk","language":"en","title":"China Yongda Automobiles Services Sees Increase Of No Less Than 110% In HY Consol Net Profit Attributable","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2149313920","media":"Reuters","summary":"China Yongda Automobiles Services Holdings Ltd <3669.HK>:China Yongda Automobiles Services Holdings ","content":"
China Yongda Automobiles Services Holdings Ltd <3669.HK>:China Yongda Automobiles Services Holdings Ltd Sees An Increase Of No Less Than 110% In Consolidated Net Profit Attributable For Six Months.Expected Increase In Consol Net Profit Attributable Due To Increase In Sales Volume Of New Vehicles.Further Company Coverage: 3669.Hk. Here were the main metrics expected from the report, compared to consensus data compiled by Bloomberg:
\n
\n

Initial jobless claims, week ended April 17: 610,000 expected vs. 576,000 during the prior week

\n

Continuing claims, week ended April 3: 3.640 million expected vs. 3.731 million during the prior week

\n
\n
Last week's new claims came as a welcome surprise after more than a year of elevated initial filings. At 576,000, new claims broke below the Great Recession-era high of 665,000 filed in March 2009 for the first time in more than a year. And claims have dropped precipitously from their all-time high of 6.1 million from last spring.
\n
But the labor market recovery has still been choppy, and the general downtrend in new jobless claims over the past several months has come with some bumps higher. Other reports have also underscored the stop-and-start nature of the rebound, with the Federal Reserve's latest Beige Book last week noting that many regions continued to experience labor shortages as well as hiring challenges over the past several weeks.
\n

\n
And even within the jobless claims report, some metrics have remained stubbornly elevated and pointed to persistently high levels of unemployment. Nearly 17 million Americans were still receiving unemployment benefits across all programs as of late March, including more than 12 million Americans on the federal Pandemic Unemployment Assistance and Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation program, which each expire in September. And some individual states, including Nevada and Alaska, continue to post insured unemployment rates that are well above the national average.
\n
\"The issue for the labor market, in our view, is at least partly related to ongoing health risks,\" Rubeela Farooqi, chief U.S. economist for High Frequency Economics, said in a note. \"Even as states are lifting restrictions and the pace of vaccinations is picking up, workers are still likely hesitant to return to work, especially in contact-intensive industries.\"
\n
\"Overall, the labor market will see a significant rebound going forward,\" she added. \"However, there are a lot of moving parts that will play a role in how sustainable and complete the recovery will be.\"
\n
This post will be updated with the results of Thursday's initial unemployment claims report from the Labor Department at 8:30 a.m. Check back for updates.
","source":"yahoofinance_au","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; Here were the main metrics expected from the report, compared to consensus data compiled by Bloomberg:\n\nInitial jobless claims, week ended April 17: 610,000 expected vs. 576,000 during the prior week\nContinuing claims, week ended April 3: 3.640 million expected vs. 3.731 million during the prior week\n\nLast week's new claims came as a welcome surprise after more than a year of elevated initial filings. At 576,000, new claims broke below the Great Recession-era high of 665,000 filed in March 2009 for the first time in more than a year. And claims have dropped precipitously from their all-time high of 6.1 million from last spring.\nBut the labor market recovery has still been choppy, and the general downtrend in new jobless claims over the past several months has come with some bumps higher. Other reports have also underscored the stop-and-start nature of the rebound, with the Federal Reserve's latest Beige Book last week noting that many regions continued to experience labor shortages as well as hiring challenges over the past several weeks.\n\nAnd even within the jobless claims report, some metrics have remained stubbornly elevated and pointed to persistently high levels of unemployment. Nearly 17 million Americans were still receiving unemployment benefits across all programs as of late March, including more than 12 million Americans on the federal Pandemic Unemployment Assistance and Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation program, which each expire in September. And some individual states, including Nevada and Alaska, continue to post insured unemployment rates that are well above the national average.\n\"The issue for the labor market, in our view, is at least partly related to ongoing health risks,\" Rubeela Farooqi, chief U.S. economist for High Frequency Economics, said in a note. \"Even as states are lifting restrictions and the pace of vaccinations is picking up, workers are still likely hesitant to return to work, especially in contact-intensive industries.\"\n\"Overall, the labor market will see a significant rebound going forward,\" she added. \"However, there are a lot of moving parts that will play a role in how sustainable and complete the recovery will be.\"\nThis post will be updated with the results of Thursday's initial unemployment claims report from the Labor Department at 8:30 a.m. Check back for updates.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":137,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":174770018,"gmtCreate":1627148848434,"gmtModify":1703484799197,"author":{"id":"3578548392576499","authorId":"3578548392576499","name":"Daruleeee","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/dd07abd6cd5ef4cf14f15cf35dd7e70f","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3578548392576499","authorIdStr":"3578548392576499"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Well damn","listText":"Well damn","text":"Well damn","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/174770018","repostId":"1109439356","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1109439356","pubTimestamp":1627096841,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1109439356?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-07-24 11:20","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Musk Tweets That Tesla Will Share Its Charging Network. Shares have gained 130% over the past year.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":135,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":880902653,"gmtCreate":1631005250472,"gmtModify":1676530440194,"author":{"id":"3578548392576499","authorId":"3578548392576499","name":"Daruleeee","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/dd07abd6cd5ef4cf14f15cf35dd7e70f","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3578548392576499","authorIdStr":"3578548392576499"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Owoooo","listText":"Owoooo","text":"Owoooo","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/5c59e5aa0f0ee1fa15b0dd4334b93f64","width":"750","height":"1869"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/880902653","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":382,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":802984315,"gmtCreate":1627707151337,"gmtModify":1703495053607,"author":{"id":"3578548392576499","authorId":"3578548392576499","name":"Daruleeee","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/dd07abd6cd5ef4cf14f15cf35dd7e70f","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3578548392576499","authorIdStr":"3578548392576499"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"What the heck. The S&P 500 dipped 0.75% to 4,327.16 and the Nasdaq Composite shed 0.8% to 14,427.24.\nThe three averages closed the week lower to each snap 3-week win streaks. The Dow ended the week down 0.52%, while the S&P 500 dipped 0.97% and the Nasdaq Composite fell 1.87% during the same period.\n\nA U.S.consumer sentimentindex from the University of Michigan came in at 80.8 for the first half of July, down from 85.5 last month and worse than estimates from economists, who projected an increase. The report released Friday showed inflation expectations rising, with consumers believing prices will increase 4.8% in the next year, the highest level since August 2008.\nThe Dow gave up its gains early Friday shortly after the University of Michigan report came out 30 minutes into the session. Losses increased as the day went on with major averages closing at the lows of the session.\nThe consumer sentiment weakness “is at face value hard to square with the acceleration in employment growth and the continued resilience of the stock market,” said Andrew Hunter, senior U.S. economist at Capital Economics, but the report “suggested that concerns over surging inflation are now outweighing those positive trends.”\nInflation fears\nThe market was held back all week by inflation fears although the S&P 500 and Dow did touch new all-time highs briefly. On Tuesday, theconsumer price indexshowed a 5.4% increase in June from a year ago, the fastest pace in nearly 13 years.\nStocks got off to a good start Friday with the Dow rising more than 100 points to above 35,000 shortly after the open.Data released before the bell showed retail and food service salesrose 0.6% in June, while economists surveyed by Dow Jones had expected a 0.4% decline. If that level held, it would have been the Dow’s first close ever above 35,000.\nDespite the week’s losses, the Dow is still up 13% for the year and sits just 1.15% from an all-time high. The S&P 500 is up 15% on the year and is 1.51% below its record level.\n“The market looks broadly fairly valued to me, with most stocks priced to provide a market rate of return plus or minus a few percent,” Bill Miller, chairman and chief investment officer of Miller Value Partners, said in an investor letter.\n“There are pockets of what look like appreciable over-valuation and pockets of significant undervaluation in the US market, in my opinion. We can find plenty of names to fill our portfolios and so remain fully invested,” the value investor added.\nEnergy correction\nEnergy stocks, the hottest part of the market in 2021, fell into correction territory on Friday as oil prices pulled back from their highs.\nThe Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund fell more than 2% on Friday, the worst of any group, dropping 14% from its high. Still, the sector is up about 28% in 2021, making it the top performer of any of the 11 main industry groups.\nWeaker performance from technology stocks also weighed on the market Friday. Shares of Apple closed 1.4% lower afternotching a record closejust two days prior. Netflix shares fell ahead of the streaming giant’s second-quarter earnings report next week.\nInvestors digested strong earnings results from the first major week of second-quarter reports. Evergrande needs to reassure the market that it has ample ammunition to make good on its borrowings while also countering short-sellers.
\n
The last time Evergrande rewarded shareholders with a special dividend, in 2018, its earnings were soaring though bearish bets abounded then too. It has since seen annual profit drops for 2019 and 2020, with total liabilities swelling to $301 billion.
\n
“Evergrande may be using the dividend plan to emphasize the stability of its cash flow and profitability, especially after the recent debt pressure,” said Yan Yuejin, research director at Shanghai-based E-house China Research and Development Institute.
\n
Evergrande’s shares fell as much as 7.2% in Hong Kong. The developer’s 8.75% bond due 2025, one of the firm’s most widely traded dollar notes, continued to drop 1 cent on the dollar to 52.2 cents.
\n
Analysts reckon Evergrande will take one of three routes: a cash dividend, a stock dividend or handing out shares in its higher-value listed subsidiaries.
\n
Cash dividend
\n
A cash dividend would be controversial given its share holding pattern and the dire need to pay down debt. Even so, Evergrande could justify it by pointing to a first half of record sales and cash inflows.
\n
Apart from Hui, who owns almost 77% of the outstanding stock through companies controlled either by him or his wife, others who stand to benefit include billionaire Joseph Lau. Hui and Lau, a long-time supporter whose wife holds 8.9% of the company, are both part of the “Big Two Club” of tycoons who play the poker game of the same name.
\n
“Paying a large special dividend is effectively a way of recycling capital back to the two main shareholders,” said Travis Lundy, a special situations analyst who publishes on Smartkarma. “They may use the funds to buy more of what Evergrande spins out.”
\n
Hui can’t use too much of the cash to prop up Evergrande’s share price. The developer’s free float is approaching the 22.04% minimum required by the Hong Kong stock exchange. It has though been weighing listings of its tourism and bottled water businesses, according to people familiar with the matter.
\n
Stock dividend
\n
Others expect Evergrande to hand out shares from its main listed entity in Hong Kong. While this may benefit long-term investors, a dividend comprised of stocks could end up driving shares lower in the near-term, adding to a 31% collapse in the past month.
\n
“I am more leaning toward equity distribution given the tight liquidity,” said Eddie Chia, a portfolio manager at China Life Franklin.
\n
The third option -- and potentially the one the market would favor -- is giving away shares of Evergrande’s subsidiaries. Options include Evergrande’s Hong Kong-listed new energy vehicle business or its property management operation. Evergrande needs to reassure the market that it has ample ammunition to make good on its borrowings while also countering short-sellers.\nThe last time Evergrande rewarded shareholders with a special dividend, in 2018, its earnings were soaring though bearish bets abounded then too. It has since seen annual profit drops for 2019 and 2020, with total liabilities swelling to $301 billion.\n“Evergrande may be using the dividend plan to emphasize the stability of its cash flow and profitability, especially after the recent debt pressure,” said Yan Yuejin, research director at Shanghai-based E-house China Research and Development Institute.\nEvergrande’s shares fell as much as 7.2% in Hong Kong. The developer’s 8.75% bond due 2025, one of the firm’s most widely traded dollar notes, continued to drop 1 cent on the dollar to 52.2 cents.\nAnalysts reckon Evergrande will take one of three routes: a cash dividend, a stock dividend or handing out shares in its higher-value listed subsidiaries.\nCash dividend\nA cash dividend would be controversial given its share holding pattern and the dire need to pay down debt. Even so, Evergrande could justify it by pointing to a first half of record sales and cash inflows.\nApart from Hui, who owns almost 77% of the outstanding stock through companies controlled either by him or his wife, others who stand to benefit include billionaire Joseph Lau. Hui and Lau, a long-time supporter whose wife holds 8.9% of the company, are both part of the “Big Two Club” of tycoons who play the poker game of the same name.\n“Paying a large special dividend is effectively a way of recycling capital back to the two main shareholders,” said Travis Lundy, a special situations analyst who publishes on Smartkarma. “They may use the funds to buy more of what Evergrande spins out.”\nHui can’t use too much of the cash to prop up Evergrande’s share price. The developer’s free float is approaching the 22.04% minimum required by the Hong Kong stock exchange. It has though been weighing listings of its tourism and bottled water businesses, according to people familiar with the matter.\nStock dividend\nOthers expect Evergrande to hand out shares from its main listed entity in Hong Kong. While this may benefit long-term investors, a dividend comprised of stocks could end up driving shares lower in the near-term, adding to a 31% collapse in the past month.\n“I am more leaning toward equity distribution given the tight liquidity,” said Eddie Chia, a portfolio manager at China Life Franklin.\nThe third option -- and potentially the one the market would favor -- is giving away shares of Evergrande’s subsidiaries. Options include Evergrande’s Hong Kong-listed new energy vehicle business or its property management operation. Such a scenario could be slightly positive for both shareholders and creditors.\nWith Evergrande’s market capitalization falling below its assets, owning shares in these subsidiaries would be a win for shareholders. Shares of China Evergrande New Energy Vehicle Group Ltd., which was worth more than Ford Motor Co. a few months back, tanked after the dividend proposal.\n“This option makes more sense,” said Nigel Stevenson, an analyst at GMT Research Ltd.\nDepending on the dividend, if Evergrande loses its controlling stake in the electric vehicle start-up, the developer may deconsolidate it from its balance sheet and pare nearly 60 billion yuan of credit tied to the EV unit. That would showcase Evergrande’s efforts to pare debt and meet China’s “Three Red Line” metrics, a move that would benefit its relationship with banks.\n“In reality it doesn’t really solve their liquidity,” issue, China Life Franklin’s Chia said. “But at least they are trying to do something so we can give them credit for that.”","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":49,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":146828498,"gmtCreate":1626068146214,"gmtModify":1703752716526,"author":{"id":"3578548392576499","authorId":"3578548392576499","name":"Daruleeee","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/dd07abd6cd5ef4cf14f15cf35dd7e70f","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3578548392576499","authorIdStr":"3578548392576499"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wowowowowowow ","listText":"Wowowowowowow ","text":"Wowowowowowow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/146828498","repostId":"1143980547","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1143980547","pubTimestamp":1626060038,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1143980547?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-07-12 11:20","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Virgin Galactic And Irrational Exuberance","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1143980547","media":"seekingalpha","summary":"Summary\n\nWe tried to determine what the financial performance of the company should be in order for ","content":"
Summary
\n
\n
We tried to determine what the financial performance of the company should be in order for the current price to look fair.
\n
For the price to be fair, FCFF in 2022 should be $35 million and grow at CAGR of 350%. This is an axiom of finance that is often criticized by unsophisticated investors. Indeed, if your investment strategy is based on the hope that someone will definitely agree to pay more for an asset than you pay for it, then the value of the asset is not important. If your friend writes you a bill of exchange and there is a buyer who is always ready to pay for this bill above par, then solvency and interest are unlikely to worry you. However, if there is no such buyer, you will turn into a demanding lender who will carefully compare the interest on a bill of exchange with the value of money and include all possible risks in the interest rate. In other words, you will begin to discount the cash flow.
\n
The weighted average cost of capital for the SPCE is not difficult to determine. At the end of the first quarter of 2019, the company reflected in the reporting $1 million Cost of revenue, at the end of the first quarter of 2020, SPCE reflected $ 173 thousand in cost of revenue.
