Its shares are scheduled to begin trading Wednesday in a direct listing on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker SQSP.
\n
The company offers various tools for website creation, including domains, e-commerce functions and marketing capabilities. Squarespace aims to work with small businesses that have limited web expertise as well as “large brands” that need greater flexibility to customize based on their needs.
\n
Squarespace sees itself playing into a number of trends, including a growing need for businesses to maintain direct relationships with their customers and an increased emphasis on do-it-yourself solutions that are “rapidly displacing expensive agencies and making equivalent design quality out-of-the-box, accessible and easy-to-use for all,” the company said in its filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
\n
The company raised $300 million in a March funding round that gave the company an enterprise valuation of $10 billion, and is not raising any new funding as it lists. Here is what else you need to know about the company.
\n
Growing Revenue, Shrinking Profits
\n
Squarespace posted $621 million in revenue during 2020, up from $485 million a year earlier. Revenue was up 28% in the latest fiscal year, ahead of the 24% growth rate seen in the prior period.
\n
The company classifies 94% of its revenue as subscription-based. Squarespace added about 700,000 new unique subscriptions in 2020 and the company disclosed that more than two thirds of total subscriptions are annual.
\n
About 70% of Squarespace’s revenue last year came from the U.S., while the rest was international.
\n
Squarespace was profitable last year, recording about $30.6 million in net income, though profits were down from $58.2 million in 2019. The company’s “fundamentals highlight a rare combo of profitability and growth at scale,” wrote MKM Partners analyst Rohit Kulkarni.
\n
Despite a string of profitability on an annual basis, Squarespace generated a net loss of $10.1 million in the first quarter of 2021 compared with a loss of $1.1 million a year earlier. The company posted profits in each of the last three quarters of 2020.
\n
Competition Aplenty
\n
The company competes with a variety of different players across the e-commerce industry, according to its filing. Squarespace counts web-creation platforms like Wix.com (ticker: WIX) and Square’s (SQ) Weebly among its competition, along with e-commerce powerhouse Shopify (ticker: SHOP), which lets businesses set up online shops.
\n
Squarespace also calls out competitors like GoDaddy (GDDY) that offer domain-name tools, as well as those providing email-marketing and scheduling functions, while arguing that its own “comprehensive, all-in-one platform, multichannel commerce capabilities” are an asset.
\n
Jefferies analyst Brent Thill notes that Wix is larger than Squarespace, with revenue of $989 million last year versus $621 million for Squarespace. In addition, Squarespace’s revenue last year was similar to what Wix posted in 2018, but Wix was posting faster growth at that scale, and without the benefit of the pandemic-driven acceleration in e-commerce more broadly, he wrote.
\n
On the Menu
\n
SquareSpace recently closed its $415 million acquisition of Tock, a company focused on the restaurant and hospitality industries. Tock’s services allow businesses to manage reservations, takeout, event ticketing and more.
\n
This part of the business may position SquareSpace against more tech giants, suggested MKM’s Kulkarni.
\n
“SquareSpace’s offering with Tock faces competition from delivery services such as Uber Eats (UBER),DoorDash (DASH) and Grubhub (GRUB), along with other restaurant [customer-relationship management] services such as TouchBistro and Toast,” he wrote.
\n
At the same time, the acquisition is an example of one way Squarespace has “smartly diversified into selling not just physical goods online but also adding calendar/scheduling capabilities (restaurant or gym reservations), content sales, and subscriptions,” he continued.
\n
Marketing Bucks
\n
Squarespace’s marketing and sales costs are growing far faster than its revenue. The company incurred $3.1 million in such expenses last year, up from $1.7 million in 2019, making for a 45% increase, whereas revenue was up 28% in the same span.
\n
The company’s podcast advertisements may be familiar to frequent listeners, though Squarespace notes in its prospectus that it advertises its services broadly, using “online keyword search, sponsorships and celebrity endorsements, television, podcasts, print and online advertising, email and social media marketing.”
\n
Among its risk factors, Squarespace points to the possibility that Alphabet’s (GOOGL) Google could change its algorithm or raise the costs of its search-engine-marketing tools.
","source":"lsy1601382232898","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
4 Things to Know Ahead of the Squarespace’s Direct Listing
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n4 Things to Know Ahead of the Squarespace’s Direct Listing\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-05-19 15:26 GMT+8 Barrons\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
The pandemic prompted many small businesses to gain online storefronts for the first time, creating an e-commerce wave that helped website-creation platform Squarespace Inc. accelerate its revenue ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{"SQSP":"Squarespace Inc."},"source_url":"https://www.barrons.com/articles/squarespace-direct-listing-51621376597?mod=hp_LEAD_3","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/e9f99090a1c2ed51c021029395664489","article_id":"1158638540","content_text":"The pandemic prompted many small businesses to gain online storefronts for the first time, creating an e-commerce wave that helped website-creation platform Squarespace Inc. accelerate its revenue growth.\nNow Squarespace will test the resilience of that e-commerce momentum as a public company. Apple said Spotify wants “all the benefits of the App Store but don’t think they should have to pay anything for that,” by choosing to object to its 15-30% commission on in-app payments for streaming apps.\nApple isn’t currently facing any antitrust charges from government officials in the U.S. and such a lawsuit may never materialize, though the Department of Justice wasreportedly granted oversight of the company’s competitive practices in 2019. But even if the government declines to press charges, recent actions in Congress, state legislatures and in private lawsuits demonstrate a significant shift in the American public’s sentiment toward Apple and the tech industry at large.\nWhen the commissionslapped its first record competition fineagainstGooglein 2017, it wasn’t yet clear that the U.S. might be ready to move on from its once-cozy relationship with its booming tech industry. But in 2018, on the heels of the revelations of howFacebookuser data was used by analytics company Cambridge Analytica during the 2016 election, and increasing questions about how tech platforms can impact American democracy, that seemed to change.\nNow, as Europe continues to move forward with its probe into Apple, the U.S. no longer seems to be so far behind.\nHere’s where Apple stands to face risk of antitrust action or regulation in the U.S.:\nDOJ\nThe DOJ has already moved forward with a massive lawsuit against Google, so it could take some time if it decides to ramp up a probe into Apple. Though the DOJ’s Antitrust Division took on oversight authority of Apple in a 2019 agreement with the FTC, according to aWall Street Journal report, the Google investigation has seemed to take priority.\nStill, then-Attorney General Bill Barr announced later that year that the DOJ wouldconduct a broad antitrust review of Big Tech companies.\nAny action from the DOJ or state enforcers would take the form of a settlement or lawsuit, which would put Apple’s fate in the hands of the courts.\nPrivate lawsuits\nApple’s most immediate challenge in the U.S. has come from private companies bringing antitrust charges against its business in court.\nThe most notable of these lawsuits isfrom Fortnite-maker Epic Games, which is set to begin its trial on Monday. Epic filed its lawsuit with a PR blitz afterchallenging Apple’s in-app payment feeby advertising in its app an alternative, cheaper way to buy character outfits from Epic directly, violating Apple’s rules. That prompted Apple to remove Fortnite from its App Store. Epic filed the suit shortly after and Applefiled counterclaimsagainst Epic for allegedly breaching its contract.\n“Although Epic portrays itself as a modern corporate Robin Hood, in reality it is a multi-billion dollar enterprise that simply wants to pay nothing for the tremendous value it derives from the App Store,” Apple said in a filing with the District Court for the Northern District of California in September.\nCongress\nJust last week, several app-makers testified before the Senate Judiciary subcommittee on antitrust about the alleged anti-competitive harms they’ve facedfrom restrictions on both Apple and Google’s app stores.\nRepresentatives from Apple and Google told lawmakers they simply charge for the technology and the work they put into running the app stores, which have significantly lowered distribution costs for app developers over the years.\nBut witnesses from Tinder-ownerMatch Group, item-tracking device-maker Tile and Spotify painted a different picture.\n“We’re all afraid,” Match Group chief legal officer Jared Sine testified of the platforms’ broad power over their businesses.\nThe witnesses discussed the seemingly arbitrary nature by which Apple allegedly enforces its App Store rules. Spotify’s legal chief claimed Apple has threatened retaliation on numerous occasions and Tile’s top lawyer said Apple denied access to a key feature that wouldimprove their object-tracking product, before utilizing it for Apple’s own rival gadget, called AirTag.\nTile said that while Apple now makes the feature available for third-party developers to incorporate, accessing it would mean handing over a significant amount of data and control to Apple. Apple’s representative said its product is different from Tile’s and opening the feature in question will encourage further competition in the space.\nSenators at the hearing seemed receptive to the app developers’ complaints, which build on earlier claims made before House lawmakers. The House Judiciary subcommittee on antitrust found in a more than year-long probe thatAmazon, Apple, Facebook and Googleall hold monopoly power, and lawmakers are currently crafting bills to enable stronger antitrust enforcement of digital markets.\nState Legislatures\nSeveral state legislatures have beenconsidering bills that would require platforms like Apple and Google to allow app-makers to use their own payment processing systems. While the bills have so far hadvarying degrees of successin the early stages of lawmaking, passage in one state could raise a host of questions about how it should be enforced given the ambiguous nature of digital borders.\nThe bills have been supported by the Coalition for App Fairness, a group of companies that have complained about app store fees, including Epic Games, Match Group and Spotify.\nApple has often argued that it maintains features like payments within its own ecosystem in order to protect consumers and secure their data, though app developers and lawmakers have expressed skepticism about that reasoning.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":253,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":196516209,"gmtCreate":1621073169001,"gmtModify":1704352696609,"author":{"id":"3578671423672074","authorId":"3578671423672074","name":"WaiKeat6789","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/b06933547917cf61d68a480d7c087a86","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3578671423672074","authorIdStr":"3578671423672074"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Healthier Choices Management Corp.(HCMC)$Waiting...","listText":"$Healthier Choices Management Corp.(HCMC)$Waiting...","text":"$Healthier Choices Management Corp.(HCMC)$Waiting...","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/949a2d2bd4c23aaa8d1d63ad94cce028","width":"828","height":"1434"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":3,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/196516209","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":104,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[{"author":{"id":"3579605390417452","authorId":"3579605390417452","name":"YQ17","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/27a39a8720408cb33a5ee4fb46fdc580","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"idStr":"3579605390417452","authorIdStr":"3579605390417452"},"content":"Okok...all thE best","text":"Okok...all thE best","html":"Okok...all thE best"}],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":193015916,"gmtCreate":1620740163535,"gmtModify":1704347647164,"author":{"id":"3578671423672074","authorId":"3578671423672074","name":"WaiKeat6789","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/b06933547917cf61d68a480d7c087a86","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3578671423672074","authorIdStr":"3578671423672074"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Cool","listText":"Cool","text":"Cool","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":3,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/193015916","repostId":"1199341916","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1199341916","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1620736561,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1199341916?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-05-11 20:36","market":"us","language":"en","title":"If Everyone Sees It, Is It Still A Bubble?","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1199341916","media":"zerohedge","summary":"As Mark Hulbert noted recently, “everyone” is worrying about a “bubble” in the stock market. According to Investopedia:
\n
\n “A bubble is a market cycle that is characterized by the rapid escalation of market value, particularly in the price of assets.\n Typically, what creates a bubble is a surge in asset prices driven by exuberant market behavior.\n During a bubble, assets typically trade at a price\n that greatly exceeds the asset’s intrinsic value. Rather, the price does not align with thefundamentals of the asset.\n “\n
\n
This definition is suitable for our discussion; there are three components of a “bubble.”The first two, price and valuation, are readily dismissed during the inflation phase. Jeremy Grantham once produced the following chart of 40-years of price bubbles in the markets. During the inflation phase, each was readily dismissed under the guise “this time is different.”
\n

\n
We are interested in the“third” component of“bubbles,” which is investor psychology.
\n
A Bubble In Psychology
\n
As Howard Marks previously noted:
\n
\n “It’s the swings of psychology that get people into the biggest trouble. Especially since investors’ emotions invariably swing in the wrong direction at the wrong time.\n When things are going well people become greedy and enthusiastic. When times are troubled, people become fearful and reticent. That’s just the wrong thing to do. It’s important to control fear and greed.”\n
\n
Currently, it’s difficult for investors to become any more enthusiastic about market returns. (The RIAPro Fear/Greed Index compiles measures of equity allocation and market sentiment. The index level isnot a component of the measure that runs from 0 to 100.The current reading is 99.9, which is a historical record.)
\n

\n
Such is an interesting juxtaposition. On the one hand, there is a rising recognition of a “bubble,” but investors are unwilling to reduce “equity risk” for “fear of missing out or F.O.M.O.”Such was a point noted explicitly by Mark:
\n
\n “Rather than responding by taking some chips off the table, however, many began freely admitting a bubble formed.\n They no longer tried to justify higher prices on fundamentals. Rather,\n they justified it instead in terms of the market’s momentum.\n Prices should keep going up as FOMO seduces more investors to jump on the bandwagon.”\n
\n
In other words, investors have fully adopted the “Greater Fool Theory.”
\n
Okay, Boomer!
\n
I know. The discussion of “valuations” is an old-fashioned idea relegated to investors of an older era. Such was evident in the pushback on Charlie Munger’s comments about Bitcoin recently:
\n
\n “\n While Munger has never been a bitcoin advocate, his dislike crystalized into something close to hatred.\n Looking back over the past 52 weeks, the reason for Munger’s anger becomes apparent with Berkshire rising only 50.5% against bitcoin’s more than 500% gain.” – Coindesk\n
\n
In 1999, when Buffett spoke out against “Dot.com” stocks, he got dismissed with a similar ire of “investing with Warren Buffett is like driving ‘Dad’s old Pontiac.'”
\n
Today, young investors are not interested in the “pearls of wisdom” from experienced investors. Today, they are “out of touch,” with the market’s “new reality.”
\n
\n “The big benefit of TikTok is it allows users to dole out and obtain information in short, easily digestible video bites, also called TikToks.\n And that can make unfamiliar, complex topics, such as personal finance and investing, more palatable to a younger audience. That advice runs the gamut, from general information about home buying or retirement savings to specific stock picks and investment ideas.\n Rob Shields, a 22-year-old, self-taught options trader who has more than 163,000 followers on TikTok, posts TikToks under the username stock_genius on topics such as popular stocks to watch, how to find good stocks, and basic trading strategies.” – WSJ:\n
\n
Of course, the problem with information doled out by 22-year olds is they were 10-year olds during the last“bear market.”Given the lack of experience of investing during such a market, as opposed to Warren Buffett who has survived several, is the eventual destruction of capital.
\n
Plenty Of Analogies
\n
\n “There is no shortage of current analogies, of course. Take Dogecoin, created as a joke with no fundamental value.\n As a recent Wall Street Journal article outlined, the Dogecoin ‘serves no purpose and, unlike Bitcoin, faces no limit on the number of coins that exist.’\n Yet investors flock to it, for no other apparent reason than its sharp rise.\n Billy Markus, the co-creator of dogecoin, said to the Wall Street Journal, ‘This is absurd. I haven’t seen anything like it. It’s one of those things that once it starts going up, it might keep going up.’” – Mark Hulbert\n
\n
That exuberance shows up with professionals as well. As of the end of April, the National Association Of Investment Managers asset allocation was 103%.
\n

\n
As Dana Lyons noted previously:
\n
\n “\n Regardless of the investment acumen of any group (we think it is very high among NAAIM members),\n once the collective investment opinion or posture becomes too one-sided, it can be an indication that some market action may be necessary to correct such consensus.\n “\n
\n
Give Me More
\n
Of course, margin debt, which is the epitome of “speculative appetite,” soared in recent months.
\n

\n
As stated, “bubbles are about psychology,” which the annual rate of change of leverage shows.
\n

\n
Another form of leverage that doesn’t show up in margin debt is ETF’s structured to multiply market returns. These funds have seen record inflows in recent months.
\n

\n
With margin debt reaching levels not seen since the peak of the last cyclical bull market cycle, it should raise some concerns about sustainability. It is NOT the level of leverage that is the problem as leverage increases buying power as markets are rising. The unwinding of this leverage is critically dangerous in the market as the acceleration of“margin calls” leads to a vicious downward spiral.
\n
Importantly, this chart does not meanthat a massive market correction is imminent. It does suggest that leverage, and speculative risk-taking, are likely much further advanced than currently recognized.
\n
Pushing Extremes
\n
Prices are ultimately affected by physics. Moving averages, trend lines, etc., all exert a gravitational pull on prices in both the short and long term. Like a rubber band, when prices get stretched too far in one direction, they have always eventually“reverted to the mean” in the most brutal of manners.
\n
The chart below shows the long-term chart of the S&P 500 broken down by several measures: 2 and 3-standard deviations, valuations, relative strength, and deviations from the 3-year moving average. It is worth noting that both standard deviations and distance from the 3-year moving average are at a record.
\n
During the last 120-years, overvaluation and extreme deviations NEVER got resolved by markets going sideways.
\n

\n
The only missing ingredient for such a correction currently is simply a catalyst to put “fear” into an overly complacent marketplace. Anything from economic disruption, a credit-related crisis, or an unexpected exogenous shock could start the “panic for the exits.”
\n
Conclusion
\n
There is more than adequate evidence a “bubble” exists in markets once again. However, as Mark noted in his commentary:
\n
\n ‘I have no idea whether the stock market is actually forming a bubble that’s about to break.\n But I do know that many bulls are fooling themselves when they think a bubble can’t happen when there is such widespread concern. In fact, one of the distinguishing characteristics of a bubble is just that.”\n
\n
However, he concludes with the most important statement:
\n
\n “It’s important for all of us to be aware of this bubble psychology,\n but especially if you’re a retiree or a near-retiree. That’s because, in that case, your investment horizon is far shorter than for those who are younger.\n Therefore, you are less able to recover from the deflation of a market bubble.”\n
\n
Read that statement again.
\n
Millennials are quick to dismiss the “Boomers” in the financial markets today for “not getting it.”
\n
No, we get it. We have just been around long enough to know how these things eventually end.
","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
If Everyone Sees It, Is It Still A Bubble?
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nIf Everyone Sees It, Is It Still A Bubble?\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-05-11 20:36 GMT+8 zerohedge\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\"If everyone sees it, is it still a bubble?”That was a great question I got over the weekend. Rather, the price does not align with thefundamentals of the asset.\n“\n\nThis definition is suitable for our discussion; there are three components of a “bubble.”The first two, price and valuation, are readily dismissed during the inflation phase. Jeremy Grantham once produced the following chart of 40-years of price bubbles in the markets. During the inflation phase, each was readily dismissed under the guise “this time is different.”\n\nWe are interested in the“third” component of“bubbles,” which is investor psychology.\nA Bubble In Psychology\nAs Howard Marks previously noted:\n\n“It’s the swings of psychology that get people into the biggest trouble. Especially since investors’ emotions invariably swing in the wrong direction at the wrong time.\nWhen things are going well people become greedy and enthusiastic. When times are troubled, people become fearful and reticent. That’s just the wrong thing to do. It’s important to control fear and greed.”\n\nCurrently, it’s difficult for investors to become any more enthusiastic about market returns. (The RIAPro Fear/Greed Index compiles measures of equity allocation and market sentiment. The index level isnot a component of the measure that runs from 0 to 100.The current reading is 99.9, which is a historical record.)\n\nSuch is an interesting juxtaposition. On the one hand, there is a rising recognition of a “bubble,” but investors are unwilling to reduce “equity risk” for “fear of missing out or F.O.M.O.”Such was a point noted explicitly by Mark:\n\n“Rather than responding by taking some chips off the table, however, many began freely admitting a bubble formed.\n They no longer tried to justify higher prices on fundamentals. Rather,\nthey justified it instead in terms of the market’s momentum.\n Prices should keep going up as FOMO seduces more investors to jump on the bandwagon.”\n\nIn other words, investors have fully adopted the “Greater Fool Theory.”\nOkay, Boomer!\nI know. The discussion of “valuations” is an old-fashioned idea relegated to investors of an older era. Such was evident in the pushback on Charlie Munger’s comments about Bitcoin recently:\n\n“\nWhile Munger has never been a bitcoin advocate, his dislike crystalized into something close to hatred.\nLooking back over the past 52 weeks, the reason for Munger’s anger becomes apparent with Berkshire rising only 50.5% against bitcoin’s more than 500% gain.” – Coindesk\n\nIn 1999, when Buffett spoke out against “Dot.com” stocks, he got dismissed with a similar ire of “investing with Warren Buffett is like driving ‘Dad’s old Pontiac.'”\nToday, young investors are not interested in the “pearls of wisdom” from experienced investors. Today, they are “out of touch,” with the market’s “new reality.”\n\n“The big benefit of TikTok is it allows users to dole out and obtain information in short, easily digestible video bites, also called TikToks.\n And that can make unfamiliar, complex topics, such as personal finance and investing, more palatable to a younger audience. That advice runs the gamut, from general information about home buying or retirement savings to specific stock picks and investment ideas.\nRob Shields, a 22-year-old, self-taught options trader who has more than 163,000 followers on TikTok, posts TikToks under the username stock_genius on topics such as popular stocks to watch, how to find good stocks, and basic trading strategies.” – WSJ:\n\nOf course, the problem with information doled out by 22-year olds is they were 10-year olds during the last“bear market.”Given the lack of experience of investing during such a market, as opposed to Warren Buffett who has survived several, is the eventual destruction of capital.\nPlenty Of Analogies\n\n“There is no shortage of current analogies, of course. Take Dogecoin, created as a joke with no fundamental value.\n As a recent Wall Street Journal article outlined, the Dogecoin ‘serves no purpose and, unlike Bitcoin, faces no limit on the number of coins that exist.’\nYet investors flock to it, for no other apparent reason than its sharp rise.\n Billy Markus, the co-creator of dogecoin, said to the Wall Street Journal, ‘This is absurd. I haven’t seen anything like it. It’s one of those things that once it starts going up, it might keep going up.’” – Mark Hulbert\n\nThat exuberance shows up with professionals as well. As of the end of April, the National Association Of Investment Managers asset allocation was 103%.\n\nAs Dana Lyons noted previously:\n\n “\n Regardless of the investment acumen of any group (we think it is very high among NAAIM members),\nonce the collective investment opinion or posture becomes too one-sided, it can be an indication that some market action may be necessary to correct such consensus.\n“\n\nGive Me More\nOf course, margin debt, which is the epitome of “speculative appetite,” soared in recent months.\n\nAs stated, “bubbles are about psychology,” which the annual rate of change of leverage shows.\n\nAnother form of leverage that doesn’t show up in margin debt is ETF’s structured to multiply market returns. These funds have seen record inflows in recent months.\n\nWith margin debt reaching levels not seen since the peak of the last cyclical bull market cycle, it should raise some concerns about sustainability. It is NOT the level of leverage that is the problem as leverage increases buying power as markets are rising. The unwinding of this leverage is critically dangerous in the market as the acceleration of“margin calls” leads to a vicious downward spiral.\nImportantly, this chart does not meanthat a massive market correction is imminent. It does suggest that leverage, and speculative risk-taking, are likely much further advanced than currently recognized.\nPushing Extremes\nPrices are ultimately affected by physics. Moving averages, trend lines, etc., all exert a gravitational pull on prices in both the short and long term. Like a rubber band, when prices get stretched too far in one direction, they have always eventually“reverted to the mean” in the most brutal of manners.\nThe chart below shows the long-term chart of the S&P 500 broken down by several measures: 2 and 3-standard deviations, valuations, relative strength, and deviations from the 3-year moving average. It is worth noting that both standard deviations and distance from the 3-year moving average are at a record.\nDuring the last 120-years, overvaluation and extreme deviations NEVER got resolved by markets going sideways.\n\nThe only missing ingredient for such a correction currently is simply a catalyst to put “fear” into an overly complacent marketplace. Anything from economic disruption, a credit-related crisis, or an unexpected exogenous shock could start the “panic for the exits.”\nConclusion\nThere is more than adequate evidence a “bubble” exists in markets once again. However, as Mark noted in his commentary:\n\n‘I have no idea whether the stock market is actually forming a bubble that’s about to break.\nBut I do know that many bulls are fooling themselves when they think a bubble can’t happen when there is such widespread concern. In fact, one of the distinguishing characteristics of a bubble is just that.”\n\nHowever, he concludes with the most important statement:\n\n“It’s important for all of us to be aware of this bubble psychology,\nbut especially if you’re a retiree or a near-retiree. That’s because, in that case, your investment horizon is far shorter than for those who are younger.\nTherefore, you are less able to recover from the deflation of a market bubble.”\n\nRead that statement again.\nMillennials are quick to dismiss the “Boomers” in the financial markets today for “not getting it.”\nNo, we get it. We have just been around long enough to know how these things eventually end.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":264,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":157567581,"gmtCreate":1625590943543,"gmtModify":1703744591137,"author":{"id":"3578671423672074","authorId":"3578671423672074","name":"WaiKeat6789","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/b06933547917cf61d68a480d7c087a86","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3578671423672074","authorIdStr":"3578671423672074"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$DOYU 20210716 7.5 PUT(DOYU)$Die…","listText":"$DOYU 20210716 7.5 PUT(DOYU)$Die…","text":"$DOYU 20210716 7.5 PUT(DOYU)$Die…","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/89f92b819a966aadfee2d5e07a4d6c17","width":"828","height":"1434"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/157567581","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":259,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":192860582,"gmtCreate":1621178369646,"gmtModify":1704353654264,"author":{"id":"3578671423672074","authorId":"3578671423672074","name":"WaiKeat6789","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/b06933547917cf61d68a480d7c087a86","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3578671423672074","authorIdStr":"3578671423672074"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Fuyoh!!","listText":"Fuyoh!!","text":"Fuyoh!!","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/192860582","repostId":"1185220705","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1185220705","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1621001944,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1185220705?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-05-14 22:19","market":"us","language":"en","title":"7 Hot Stocks To Buy Now For A Summer Of Reopenings","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1185220705","media":"InvestorPlace","summary":"These hot stocks to buy are well positioned to benefit from a healing economy.\n\nVolatility is on the","content":"
\n These hot stocks to buy are well positioned to benefit from a healing economy.\n
\n
Volatility is on the rise, putting the pressure on many high growth stocks. As we all get ready to welcome summer days that more closely resemble our pre-pandemic lives, the markets are rotating away from the growth stocks it favored during lockdowns and quarantines, especially tech shares.
\n
For instance, the tech-heavyNASDAQ 100index is down more than 4% since the start of May. As a result, many retail investors are wondering which sectors and stocks might be do well in the remaining days of the quarter.
\n
The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic remains the most crucial market factor. Last year, that meant buying businesses that benefited from trends resulting from the pandemic and the lockdown (such as digitalization, health care, renewable energy or work-from-home). However, many of this year’s leading stocks are those most likely to benefit from a recovering economy and a ‘return to normalcy.’
\n
With that information, here are seven hot stocks to buy:
\n
\n
Align Technology(NASDAQ:ALGN)
\n
Ford Motor(NYSE:F)
\n
Freeport-McMoRan(NYSE:FCX)
\n
Hilton Worldwide(NYSE:HLT)
\n
Stryker(NYSE:SYK)
\n
Take-Two Interactive(NASDAQ:TTWO)
\n
Verizon Communications(NYSE:VZ)
\n
\n
Over the past 12 months, investors were able to find quality names at good value. Now, valuation levels are quite stretched. Yet, there are still plenty of robust investment opportunities out there, especially for long-term investors.
\n
Hot stocks to buy: Align Technology(ALGN)Source: rafapress / Shutterstock.com
\n
52-week range:$195.56– $647.20
\n
Dental device groupAlign Technology is primarily known for its Invisalign system, an alternative to traditional braces to correct malocclusions, or misalignment of the teeth. You might know of this product as invisible dental braces. The company also manufactures scanners and offers computer-aided design (CAD) services to support the customization of these liners.
\n
Align Technologyreported record-setting first quarter resultson April 28. Total revenue was $894.8 million, up 62.4% year-over-year (YoY). On a non-GAAP basis, first quarter net income was $198.4 million, or $2.49 per diluted share. This represented a 242% increase from $57.9 million, or 73 cents per diluted share, recorded in the prior year quarter.Cash and equivalents stood at $1.1 billion.
\n
CEO Joe Hogan said:
\n
\n “It’s remarkable to think about the pace of growth and adoption that we are experiencing worldwide, especially when considering it took 10 years to achieve our one millionth Invisalign patient milestone. Now we are adding one million new Invisalign patients in less than six months.”\n
\n
The pandemic has meant many individuals had to postpone non-essential dental procedures. As our economy opens up further, more people are likely to start elective dental procedures, such as tooth straightening treatments. Meanwhile, the number of orthodontists and general practitioner dentists using theInvisalign system stateside is on the rise. Therefore, the company is likely to keep growing for many quarters to come. Its market capitalization (cap) stands at $43 billion.
\n
Year-to-date (YTD), the shares are up 3% and hit a record high in late April. As we all get ready to welcome summer days that more closely resemble our pre-pandemic lives, the markets are rotating away from the growth stocks it favored during lockdowns and quarantines, especially tech shares.\nFor instance, the tech-heavyNASDAQ 100index is down more than 4% since the start of May. As a result, many retail investors are wondering which sectors and stocks might be do well in the remaining days of the quarter.\nThe ongoing Covid-19 pandemic remains the most crucial market factor. Last year, that meant buying businesses that benefited from trends resulting from the pandemic and the lockdown (such as digitalization, health care, renewable energy or work-from-home). However, many of this year’s leading stocks are those most likely to benefit from a recovering economy and a ‘return to normalcy.’\nWith that information, here are seven hot stocks to buy:\n\nAlign Technology(NASDAQ:ALGN)\nFord Motor(NYSE:F)\nFreeport-McMoRan(NYSE:FCX)\nHilton Worldwide(NYSE:HLT)\nStryker(NYSE:SYK)\nTake-Two Interactive(NASDAQ:TTWO)\nVerizon Communications(NYSE:VZ)\n\nOver the past 12 months, investors were able to find quality names at good value. Now, valuation levels are quite stretched. Yet, there are still plenty of robust investment opportunities out there, especially for long-term investors.\nHot stocks to buy: Align Technology(ALGN)Source: rafapress / Shutterstock.com\n52-week range:$195.56– $647.20\nDental device groupAlign Technology is primarily known for its Invisalign system, an alternative to traditional braces to correct malocclusions, or misalignment of the teeth. You might know of this product as invisible dental braces. The company also manufactures scanners and offers computer-aided design (CAD) services to support the customization of these liners.\nAlign Technologyreported record-setting first quarter resultson April 28. Total revenue was $894.8 million, up 62.4% year-over-year (YoY). On a non-GAAP basis, first quarter net income was $198.4 million, or $2.49 per diluted share. This represented a 242% increase from $57.9 million, or 73 cents per diluted share, recorded in the prior year quarter.Cash and equivalents stood at $1.1 billion.\nCEO Joe Hogan said:\n\n “It’s remarkable to think about the pace of growth and adoption that we are experiencing worldwide, especially when considering it took 10 years to achieve our one millionth Invisalign patient milestone. Now we are adding one million new Invisalign patients in less than six months.”\n\nThe pandemic has meant many individuals had to postpone non-essential dental procedures. Its market capitalization (cap) stands at $43 billion.\nYear-to-date (YTD), the shares are up 3% and hit a record high in late April. ALGN stock’s forward price-to-earnings (P/E) and price-to-sales (P/S) ratios are 65.36 and 16.88.\nShort-term profit-taking could put pressure on the shares. A potential decline toward $520 would improve the margin of safety.\nFord Motor(F)Source: Vitaliy Karimov / Shutterstock.com\n52-week range: $4.52 – $13.62\nLegacy automaker Ford Motorreported first quarter resultsin late April. Revenue increased 6% to $36.2 billion. GAAP net income was $3.3 billion, compared to net loss of $2 billion in the prior year quarter.Adjusted earnings per share came at 89 cents.\nCEO Jim Farley regards the Mustang Mach-E GT as Ford’s first serious push into theelectric vehicle(EV) space. Going forward, CFO John Lawler highlighted that semiconductor shortage, exacerbated by a recent fire at a supplier plant in Japan, would likely get worse before bottoming out in Q2. The auto industry, as well as many other sectors, are under pressure due to the chip shortage worldwide.\nYTD, Ford shares are up over 32%. Forward P/E and P/S ratios stand at 11.76 and 0.37, respectively. Since the earnings report, F stock has come under pressure. Any further decline toward $10 would improve the risk/return profile.\nIn addition to its legacy business, the new decade will likely see Ford gain gain market share in the growing EV industry. Buy-and-hold investor should put the shares on their radar.\nFreeport-McMoRan(FCX)Source: MICHAEL A JACKSON FILMS / Shutterstock.com\n52-week range:$7.80 – $44.50\nNext in line is one of the largest copper miners worldwide, the Phoenix,Arizona-based Freeport-McMoRan. Itssegments include refined copper products, copper in concentrate, gold, molybdenum, oil and other.\nRegularInvestorPlace.comreaders know well how copper has been under the spotlight in recent months. It is a critical commodity, seeing high demand as the economy opens up further. In addition, copper is used in infrastructure projects, such as construction, transportation and electrical networks. This major industrial metal is also used heavily in the transition to renewable energy. And EVs use up to four times more copper than traditional cars.\nFreeport-McMoRanreported first-quarter resultsin late April. Consolidated sales came in at $4.85 billion, a73.3% YoY increase from$2.80 billion in the prior year period. Adjusted net income totaled $756 million, or 51 cents per diluted share. As of March 31, the company had $4.58 billion in cash and equivalents.\nCEO Richard C. Adkerson said:\n\n “We are well positioned for long-term success as a leading producer of copper required for a growing global economy and accelerating demand from copper’s critical role in building infrastructure and the transition to clean energy.”\n\nSince the start of the year, FCX stock has returned over 60%. Forward P/E and P/S ratios are16.98and 3.97, respectively. Copper bulls could look to buy the dips in the shares.\nHilton Worldwide(HLT)Source: josefkubes / Shutterstock.com\n52-week range:$62.47– $132.69\nHilton Worldwide is one of the leading names in theleisure and hotel space, operating more than a million rooms across 18 brands. Needless to say, for over a year, hotel room bookings have taken a beating.\nHampton and Hilton are currently the group’s two largest brands by total room count at 28% and 21%, respectively. For hotels, revenue per available room is the key measure of top-line performance.\nHiltonreported first quarter resultson May 5.Total revenue fell more than 54% to $874 million. Revenue per available room declined about 38% from a year earlier. Net loss was $109 million.\nCEO Christopher J. Nassetta remarked, “While rising COVID-19 cases and tightened travel restrictions, particularly across Europe and our Asia Pacific region, weighed on demand in January and February, we saw meaningful improvement in March and April. We expect this positive momentum to continue as vaccines are more widely distributed and our customers feel safe traveling again.”\nSo far in 2021, HLT stock is up 9%. Forward P/E and P/S ratios are47.85and10.54respectively. Many investors see the shares as a bet on the post-pandemic recovery. Buy-and-hold investors should regard a decline toward the $110 level as an opportune point of entry into the shares.\nStryker (SYK)Source: Shutterstock\n52-week range: $171.75-268.04\nKalamazoo, Michigan-based Stryker manufactures medical equipment, consumable supplies and implantable devices. Its product portfolio includes hip and knee replacements, endoscopy systems, operating room equipment, embolic coils and spinal devices. As for many companies, the pandemic meant a disruption of business.\nStryker releasedQ1 2021 figuresin recent weeks. The company’s top line increased 10.2% YoY to $4 billion. Adjusted diluted EPS was $1.93, a 4.9% YoY increase. Quarter-end cash and equivalents stood at $2.2 billion.\nManagement cited, “As we recover from the pandemic, we continue to expect 2021 organic net sales growth to be in the range of 8% to 10% from 2019, as this is a more normal baseline given the variability throughout 2020, and now expect adjusted net earnings per diluted share to be in the range of $9.05 to $9.30.”\nYTD, Stryker stock has returned about 4% and hit a record high in late April. The current price supports a dividend yield of 0.99%. As life gets back to normal in the coming months, the company should see higher procedure volumes, translating into stronger revenue.\nFurthermore, our country is aging. Thus, its products are likely to be used by more individuals. However, the shares are richly valued. Forward P/Eand P/S ratios are 27.78 and 6.59.\nInterested investors would find better value around $240.\nTake-Two Interactive(TTWO)Source: Thomas Pajot / Shutterstock.com\n52-week range:$124.86– $214.91\nGame publisher Take-Two Interactive markets products through its subsidiaries Rockstar Games and 2K. Its iconic titleGrand Theft Auto V (GTA V) is well-known by players worldwide and brings in a large slice of revenues. Other titles includeNBA 2K,Civilization,Borderlands,Bioshock, andXcom. The video gaming industry has been one of the clear winners during the ‘stay-at-home’ days of the pandemic. Management plans to release new names in the coming quarters.\nIn February, Take-Two Interactivereported strong Q3 results. GAAP net revenue was $860.9 million, as compared to $930.1 million in the prior year quarter. GAAP net income increased 11% to $182.2 million, or $1.57 per diluted share, compared to $163.6 million, or $1.43 per diluted share, a year ago. As of Dec. 31, 2020, the company had cash and short-term investments of $2.42 billion.\nCEO Strauss Zelnick said:\n\n “Due to an incredibly strong holiday season, coupled with our ability to provide consistently the highest quality entertainment experiences, especially as many individuals continue to shelter at home, Take-Two delivered operating results that significantly exceeded our expectations.”\n\nYTD, shares are down around 18%. TTWO stock has given up some of its recent gains after hitting an all-time high in early February. Forward P/E and P/S ratios are 28.33 and 5.95, respectively.\nThe recent pullback offers a good opportunity for long-term investors. Bear in mind the company will report Q4 results on May 18. Interested investors may want to analyze those metrics before buying into the share price.\nVerizon Communications (VZ)Source: Ken Wolter / Shutterstock.com\n52-week range:$52.85 – $61.95\nOur final stock is telecom giantVerizon Communications, which serves around 90.2 million postpaid and 4 million prepaid phone customers. Verizon announcedQ1 figures for 2021at the end of April. Revenue rose by 4% YoY to $32.867 billion. Bottom line growth was much more impressive, with 25.4% YoY increase. Net earnings realized was $5.378 billion. Diluted EPS came at $1.27. A year ago, it had been $1.00. During the quarter, cash flow from operations was $9.7 billion.\nCFO Matt Ellis cited:\n\n “We delivered strong operational and financial performance, giving us positive momentum as we end the first quarter. High quality, sustainable wireless service revenue growth, a recovery in wireless equipment revenues, strong Fios momentum and excellent Verizon Media trends led the way.”\n\nIn December, the shares hit a 52-week high of $61.95. Now, the stock is just shy of $60. The current price supports a dividend yield of 4.2%. VZ stock’sforward P/Eand P/S ratios are 11.67 and 0.47, respectively. And the tech sector's insulation from many pandemic-related headwinds amplified those gains.
\n
But a lot of those gains evaporated this year as investors focused on reopening plays in a post-pandemic world. Rising bond yields exacerbated that sell-off as investors rotated from growth to value stocks.
\n
That rotation might cause some investors to avoid all tech stocks, but there are still plenty of bargains in this sector. Let's examine three well-run tech companies that are still cheap relative to their growth.
\n

\n
\n
1. Juniper Networks
\n
Juniper Networks (NYSE:JNPR) is often overshadowed by its larger networking hardware rival Cisco. However, Juniper still ranks third in the global router market and fifth in the switch market, according to IDC.
\n
Being an underdog in two commoditized markets seemingly makes Juniper an unappealing investment, but the company has been aggressively expanding its portfolio of cloud-ready hardware and services to offset its slower sales of legacy service provider products.
\n
Juniper's cloud-oriented business has grown over the past two years, and it expects that momentum to continue as more cloud providers upgrade their networks. Its total revenue stayed flat at $4.45 billion in fiscal 2020, but it grew 8% year over year in the first quarter of 2021 as cyclical demand for its networking hardware and services accelerated again.
\n
Analysts expect Juniper's revenue and earnings to rise 5% and 10%, respectively, this year. However, its stock only trades at 14 times forward earnings and pays a high forward dividend yield of 3.1%. It only spent 63% of its free cash flow on its dividend over the past 12 months, so it still has plenty of room to raise its payout as it expands its cloud portfolio and higher-margin software business.
\n
2. Alphabet
\n
Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOG) (NASDAQ:GOOGL), the parent company of Google, suffered a brief slowdown in ad sales during the pandemic last year. Yet it offset that slowdown with the growth of Google Cloud, and its advertising business was firing on all cylinders again by the end of the year.
\n

\n
\n
Alphabet's revenue and earnings rose 13% and 19%, respectively, in 2020. Tighter spending measures during the pandemic also boosted its full-year operating margin from 21% to 23%.
\n
Wall Street expects Alphabet's revenue and earnings to increase another 30% and 51%, respectively, this year, as its ad and cloud businesses continue to expand in a post-pandemic world. Yet its stock only trades at 24 times forward earnings, which seems ridiculously cheap relative to its growth.
\n
The recent rotation out of tech stocks, along with ongoing antitrust issues and Apple's recent actions against targeted ads on iOS, seems to be dragging down Alphabet's stock price. However, I believe Alphabet should easily overcome these issues and remain one of the world's most important tech companies for the foreseeable future.
\n
3. Salesforce
\n
salesforce.com (NYSE:CRM), the world's largest cloud-based customer relationship management (CRM) services provider, expects to at least double its annual revenue to more than $50 billion by fiscal 2026. It expects that growth to be driven by robust demand for automated and outsourced CRM solutions, as well as the expansion of the e-commerce, marketing, and analytics markets.
\n
Salesforce's revenue and adjusted earnings rose 24% and 65%, respectively, in fiscal 2021 (which ended this January). Its business remained resilient throughout the crisis as big companies continued to tap its cloud-based services to reach customers and optimize their internal operations.
\n
Analysts expect Salesforce's revenue to rise 21% this year, but for its earnings to decline 30% as it completes its upcoming takeover of Slack (NYSE:WORK). The short-term expenses from that $27.7 billion deal are weighing down the stock, but the integration of Slack's unified communications platform should ultimately improve Salesforce's cloud services.
\n
Salesforce's stock price might not initially seem cheap at more than 50 times forward earnings, but that P/E ratio should contract after it fully integrates Slack and its profits rebound. And the tech sector's insulation from many pandemic-related headwinds amplified those gains.\nBut a lot of those gains evaporated this year as investors focused on reopening plays in a post-pandemic world. Rising bond yields exacerbated that sell-off as investors rotated from growth to value stocks.\nThat rotation might cause some investors to avoid all tech stocks, but there are still plenty of bargains in this sector. Let's examine three well-run tech companies that are still cheap relative to their growth.\n\nImage source: Getty Images.\n1. Juniper Networks\nJuniper Networks (NYSE:JNPR) is often overshadowed by its larger networking hardware rival Cisco. However, Juniper still ranks third in the global router market and fifth in the switch market, according to IDC.\nBeing an underdog in two commoditized markets seemingly makes Juniper an unappealing investment, but the company has been aggressively expanding its portfolio of cloud-ready hardware and services to offset its slower sales of legacy service provider products.\nJuniper's cloud-oriented business has grown over the past two years, and it expects that momentum to continue as more cloud providers upgrade their networks. Its total revenue stayed flat at $4.45 billion in fiscal 2020, but it grew 8% year over year in the first quarter of 2021 as cyclical demand for its networking hardware and services accelerated again.\nAnalysts expect Juniper's revenue and earnings to rise 5% and 10%, respectively, this year. However, its stock only trades at 14 times forward earnings and pays a high forward dividend yield of 3.1%. It only spent 63% of its free cash flow on its dividend over the past 12 months, so it still has plenty of room to raise its payout as it expands its cloud portfolio and higher-margin software business.\n2. Alphabet\nAlphabet (NASDAQ:GOOG) (NASDAQ:GOOGL), the parent company of Google, suffered a brief slowdown in ad sales during the pandemic last year. Yet it offset that slowdown with the growth of Google Cloud, and its advertising business was firing on all cylinders again by the end of the year.\n\nImage source: Getty Images.\nAlphabet's revenue and earnings rose 13% and 19%, respectively, in 2020. Tighter spending measures during the pandemic also boosted its full-year operating margin from 21% to 23%.\nWall Street expects Alphabet's revenue and earnings to increase another 30% and 51%, respectively, this year, as its ad and cloud businesses continue to expand in a post-pandemic world. Yet its stock only trades at 24 times forward earnings, which seems ridiculously cheap relative to its growth.\nThe recent rotation out of tech stocks, along with ongoing antitrust issues and Apple's recent actions against targeted ads on iOS, seems to be dragging down Alphabet's stock price. However, I believe Alphabet should easily overcome these issues and remain one of the world's most important tech companies for the foreseeable future.\n3. Salesforce\nsalesforce.com (NYSE:CRM), the world's largest cloud-based customer relationship management (CRM) services provider, expects to at least double its annual revenue to more than $50 billion by fiscal 2026. It expects that growth to be driven by robust demand for automated and outsourced CRM solutions, as well as the expansion of the e-commerce, marketing, and analytics markets.\nSalesforce's revenue and adjusted earnings rose 24% and 65%, respectively, in fiscal 2021 (which ended this January). Its business remained resilient throughout the crisis as big companies continued to tap its cloud-based services to reach customers and optimize their internal operations.\nAnalysts expect Salesforce's revenue to rise 21% this year, but for its earnings to decline 30% as it completes its upcoming takeover of Slack (NYSE:WORK). The short-term expenses from that $27.7 billion deal are weighing down the stock, but the integration of Slack's unified communications platform should ultimately improve Salesforce's cloud services.\nSalesforce's stock price might not initially seem cheap at more than 50 times forward earnings, but that P/E ratio should contract after it fully integrates Slack and its profits rebound. In terms of revenue, it trades at less than eight times this year's sales, which makes it cheaper than many other cloud stocks.\nThe bottom line\nInvestors who can tune out the near-term noise should take a closer look at Juniper, Alphabet, and Salesforce. Juniper is an undervalued cyclical play that is starting a new growth cycle, Alphabet is an evergreen tech juggernaut, and Salesforce should benefit from the digitization of businesses for decades to come.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":172,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":108043078,"gmtCreate":1619966862394,"gmtModify":1704336846690,"author":{"id":"3578671423672074","authorId":"3578671423672074","name":"WaiKeat6789","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/b06933547917cf61d68a480d7c087a86","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3578671423672074","authorIdStr":"3578671423672074"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Marvellous[Cool] ","listText":"Marvellous[Cool] ","text":"Marvellous[Cool]","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/108043078","repostId":"2132603015","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2132603015","kind":"highlight","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Reuters.com brings you the latest news from around the world, covering breaking news in markets, business, politics, entertainment and technology","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Reuters","id":"1036604489","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/443ce19704621c837795676028cec868"},"pubTimestamp":1619872075,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2132603015?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-05-01 20:27","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Berkshire Hathaway Q1 Earnings Here!","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2132603015","media":"Reuters","summary":"May 1 (Reuters) - Berkshire Hathaway Inc :Full report here!* Q1 NET EARNINGS ATTRIBUTABLE TO BERKS","content":"
May 1 (Reuters) - Berkshire Hathaway Inc :

Full report here!

* Q1 NET EARNINGS ATTRIBUTABLE TO BERKSHIRE SHAREHOLDERS $11.71 BILLION VERSUS YEAR-EARLIER $49.75 BILLION LOSS

* Q1 OPERATING EARNINGS $7.02 BILLION VERSUS $5.87 BILLION

* Q1 NET EARNINGS PER AVERAGE EQUIVALENT CLASS A SHARE $7,638

* Q1 NET EARNINGS FROM INVESTMENT AND DERIVATIVE GAINS $4.69 BILLION VERSUS YEAR-EARLIER $55.62 BILLION NET LOSS

* AT MARCH 31, 2021, INSURANCE FLOAT WAS ABOUT $140 BILLION, INCREASE OF ABOUT $2 BILLION SINCE YEAREND 2020

* ABOUT $6.6 BILLION WAS USED TO PURCHASE SHARES OF CLASS A AND CLASS B COMMON STOCK DURING THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2021

Source text for Eikon: Further company coverage:

Full article of Berkshire Hathaway Q1 report
","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; Tesla managed aGAAPnet income of $438 million in the first quarter, up from just $16 million one-year prior. It would appear, at least at first glance, that the electric-vehicle (EV) pioneer is on the right track in terms of profitability.
\n
The problem is that these profits aren't really coming from the cars that Tesla sells. The company currently generates hundreds of millions of dollars in pure profit each quarter from the sale of regulatory credits, a side effect of other automakers not making enough zero-emission vehicles to meet regulatory requirements.
\n
Regulatory credit sales totaled $518 million in the first quarter, accounting for all of Tesla's profit and then some. This has been the case in previous quarters, as well. In fact, after backing out regulatory credits from Tesla's net income, the company has been unprofitable for six-straight quarters.
\n
Tesla's bottom line got an additional boost in the first quarter from a gain onthe sale ofBitcointo the tune of $101 million, which showed up as a reduction in costs. The picture doesn't look so rosy when both regulatory credits and Bitcoin gains are excluded:
\n

\n
DATA SOURCE: TESLA. CHART BY AUTHOR.
\n
There's no question that Tesla's growth is impressive, but there's also no question that the core business of making and selling cars is not turning a profit. The question Tesla investors need to ask themselves is: If Tesla isn't profitable now, when there's little to no competition in electric vehicles in the United States, what's going to happen when a deluge of competition fromtraditional automakersarrives?
\n
A ton of competition is coming
\n
Tesla's brand has a cult following, so some people will be buying Tesla vehicles regardless of the other options available. But that's not likely to be the case for most people.
\n
The number of electric vehicles available for purchase in the U.S. is set to explode in the coming years.General Motors(NYSE:GM)is planning to launch 30 EVs globally by 2025, with two-thirds set to be sold in North America. The company is aiming to sell 1 million EVs annually in North America by 2025.
\n
Those models include electric versions of the company's GMC Hummer and Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck. Tesla has a loyal customer base, but so does GM. Someone who's been a GM truck buyer for years is likely to stick with GM when they decide to switch to an electric vehicle.
\n

\n
\n
Ford(NYSE:F)is also pouring resources into electric vehicles, allocating $29 billion for electric and autonomous vehicles through 2025. The company's plans include anelectric version of its F-150 pickup truck, which should hit the production lines by mid-2022. Given GM's and Ford's plans, it will not be easy for Tesla to steal away market share in the lucrative pickup-truck segment.
\n
Other car companies have big plans, as well.Volkswagen(OTC:VWAGY)already sells over 200,000 EVs annually andexpects that number to double this year. Tesla managed aGAAPnet income of $438 million in the first quarter, up from just $16 million one-year prior. It would appear, at least at first glance, that the electric-vehicle (EV) pioneer is on the right track in terms of profitability.\nThe problem is that these profits aren't really coming from the cars that Tesla sells. The company currently generates hundreds of millions of dollars in pure profit each quarter from the sale of regulatory credits, a side effect of other automakers not making enough zero-emission vehicles to meet regulatory requirements.\nRegulatory credit sales totaled $518 million in the first quarter, accounting for all of Tesla's profit and then some. This has been the case in previous quarters, as well. In fact, after backing out regulatory credits from Tesla's net income, the company has been unprofitable for six-straight quarters.\nTesla's bottom line got an additional boost in the first quarter from a gain onthe sale ofBitcointo the tune of $101 million, which showed up as a reduction in costs. The picture doesn't look so rosy when both regulatory credits and Bitcoin gains are excluded:\n\nDATA SOURCE: TESLA. CHART BY AUTHOR.\nThere's no question that Tesla's growth is impressive, but there's also no question that the core business of making and selling cars is not turning a profit. The question Tesla investors need to ask themselves is: If Tesla isn't profitable now, when there's little to no competition in electric vehicles in the United States, what's going to happen when a deluge of competition fromtraditional automakersarrives?\nA ton of competition is coming\nTesla's brand has a cult following, so some people will be buying Tesla vehicles regardless of the other options available. But that's not likely to be the case for most people.\nThe number of electric vehicles available for purchase in the U.S. is set to explode in the coming years.General Motors(NYSE:GM)is planning to launch 30 EVs globally by 2025, with two-thirds set to be sold in North America. The company is aiming to sell 1 million EVs annually in North America by 2025.\nThose models include electric versions of the company's GMC Hummer and Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck. Tesla has a loyal customer base, but so does GM. Someone who's been a GM truck buyer for years is likely to stick with GM when they decide to switch to an electric vehicle.\n\nIMAGE SOURCE: GM.\nFord(NYSE:F)is also pouring resources into electric vehicles, allocating $29 billion for electric and autonomous vehicles through 2025. The company's plans include anelectric version of its F-150 pickup truck, which should hit the production lines by mid-2022. Given GM's and Ford's plans, it will not be easy for Tesla to steal away market share in the lucrative pickup-truck segment.\nOther car companies have big plans, as well.Volkswagen(OTC:VWAGY)already sells over 200,000 EVs annually andexpects that number to double this year. The company is aiming to sell roughly 2 million EVs annually by 2025 and expects to launch 70 EV models by 2030.Toyota(NYSE:TM)willlaunch 15 new electric vehicles by 2025, some of which will be under the new Toyota bZ sub-brand. The list goes on.\nNot only will all these electric vehicles provide consumers with a bevy of options beyond Tesla, but they'll also deprive Tesla of its regulatory-credit income as other automakers churn out an increasing number of EVs.\nNone of this is to say that Tesla can't be successful in a world where it faces more competition. But turning a profit is is going to get harder with each passing year.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":80,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":103428419,"gmtCreate":1619804627731,"gmtModify":1704272658721,"author":{"id":"3578671423672074","authorId":"3578671423672074","name":"WaiKeat6789","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/b06933547917cf61d68a480d7c087a86","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3578671423672074","authorIdStr":"3578671423672074"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like[Sly] Restart","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1185699354","media":"Bloomberg","summary":"(Bloomberg) -- Gas stations along the U.S. East Coast are beginning to run out of fuel as North Amer","content":"
(Bloomberg) -- Gas stations along the U.S. East Coast are beginning to run out of fuel as North America’s biggest petroleum pipeline races to recover from a paralyzing cyberattack that has kept it shut for three days.
\n
From North Carolina to Florida to Alabama, gas stations are reporting that they’ve sold out of fuel as supplies in the region dwindle and panic buying begins to set in. At least two gas stations in Tallahassee, Florida, were completely out of stock, according to employees who asked not to be named. In Asheville, North Carolina, Aubrey Clements, a clerk at an Exxon Mobil station answered the phone with “Hello, I’m currently out of gas.”
\n
Colonial Pipeline said it’s manually operating a segment of the pipeline running from North Carolina to Maryland and expects to substantially restore all service by the weekend. The restart may not come fast enough to avert immediate shortages in the southeast, where North Carolina declared a state of emergency as gas stations reported running of out gasoline.
\n
The Marathon gas station in Elizabethtown, North Carolina, had roughly two dozen cars waiting to fuel up, said Chanss Arnett, an employee there. The stations in town are all packed, Arnett said over the phone, where the door bell chimes from people entering could be heard every other minute. Drivers pulling into a station with a sign offering unleaded gasoline for $2.649 per gallon in Manning, South Carolina, were met with pumps covered in yellow and red “out of service” bags.
\n
Shortages also hit the aviation industry, forcing American Airlines Group Inc. to add additional stops to two long-haul flights originating from Charlotte, North Carolina. A flight bound for Honolulu will stop at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport where customers will disembark and board a fully-fueled aircraft to continue on to Hawaii, while another bound for London will stop in Boston to pick up more fuel before crossing the Atlantic.
\n
The conduit has been shut down since late Friday, prompting frenzied moves by traders and retailers to secure alternative supplies. On Monday, the Federal Bureau of Investigation pointed the finger at a ransomware gang known as DarkSide. The pipeline hasn’t suffered any physical damage and no fuel shortages have been detected, a White House official said.
\n
Colonial Chief Executive Officer Joe Blount and a top lieutenant assured Deputy Energy Secretary David Turk and state-level officials on Monday that the company has complete operational control of the pipeline and won’t restart shipments until the ransomware has been neutralized.
\n
Bases, Refineries
\n
In an 18-minute virtual meeting, Blount said shortages may develop in some markets but said Colonial is working with refiners, marketers and retailers to prevent those, according to a person involved with the meeting who wasn’t authorized to speak publicly about the discussion.
\n
The pipeline serves 90 U.S. military installations and 26 oil refineries, the person said. Meanwhile, President Joe Biden said Russia has “some responsibility” to address the attack.
\n
Emergency shipments of gasoline and diesel from Texas already are on the way to Atlanta and other southeast cities via trucks, and at least two Gulf Coast refineries began trimming output amid expectations that supplies will begin backing up in the nation’s oil-refining nexus. Airlines flying out of Philadelphia International Airport are burning through jet-fuel reserves and the airport has enough to last “a couple of weeks,’ a spokeswoman said.
\n
Government officials haven’t advised Colonial on whether it ought to pay the ransom, Deputy National Security Adviser for Cyber and Emerging Technologies Anne Neuberger said during a briefing.
\n
New York Prices
\n
The national average retail gasoline price rose to $2.967 a gallon on Monday, a 2.4% increase from Friday, according to AAA. The premium for wholesale gasoline in the New York area expanded to its widest in three months.
\n
The attack came just as the nation’s energy industry was preparing to meet stronger fuel demand from summer travel. Americans are once again commuting to the office and booking flights after a year in lockdown. Depending on the duration of the disruption, retail prices could spike, further stoking fears of inflation as commodity prices rally worldwide.
\n
DarkSide said in a post on the dark web that it wasn’t to blame and hinted that an affiliate group may have been behind the attack. The group promised to do a better job of screening customers that buy its malware.
\n
Gasoline futures that initially surged as much as 4.2% in overnight trading surrendered most of those gains on Monday.
\n
Learn more about how emergency powers can counter fuel-supply disruptions.
\n
Convenience-store chains in places like Atlanta and Savannah, Georgia, began clamoring for emergency fuel deliveries on Friday afternoon, said Steve Boyd, senior managing director at Houston-based distributor Sun Coast Resources Inc.
\n
Water-Borne Supplies
\n
Landlocked cities face the greatest danger of fuel shortages compared with those with access to water-borne deliveries, Boyd said. If the pipeline remains down for many more days, he’s anticipating a “massive surge” in orders. Sun Coast, which operates about 900 trucks, has delivered emergency supplies during 75 major storms over the past 15 years, including during hurricanes Harvey and Irma in 2017.
\n
Gasoline for June delivery settled little changed at $2.1334 a gallon in New York. Futures prices have gained more than 50% this year, helped by the recovery from the worst effects of the pandemic.
\n
Tankers Booked
\n
Prior to Colonial’s Monday statement, traders were seeking vessels to deliver fuel to coastal terminals. Four vessels were provisionally chartered to send diesel or gasoline from Europe to the U.S. Atlantic Coast, according to Danish oil-product tanker company Torm A/S.
\n
Some tankers are also being secure
\n
d to temporarily store gasoline along the Gulf Coast, according to market participants who asked not to be identified because the information isn’t public. Meanwhile, Total SE scaled back activity in a key unit at its Port Arthur, Texas, refinery because of the Colonial shutdown, according to a person familiar with operations. Citgo Petroleum Corp. took similar measures at its Lake Charles, La., plant.
\n
Increased Security
\n
Colonial halted all operations on its system late Friday after suffering a ransomware attack that affected some of its IT systems.
\n
The event is just the latest example of critical infrastructure being targeted by ransomware. Hackers are increasingly attempting to infiltrate essential services such as electric grids and hospitals. The escalating threats prompted the White House to respond last month with a plan to increase security at utilities and their suppliers. Pipelines are a specific concern because of the central role they play in the U.S. economy.
\n
“It’s an all-hands-on-deck effort right now,” said U.S. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo. “We are working closely with the company, state and local officials to make sure that they get back up to normal operations as quickly as possible and there aren’t disruptions in supply.”
\n
The White House pulled together an inter-agency task force to address the breach, including exploring options for lessening its impact, according to an official. Biden can invoke an array of emergency powers to ensure supplies keep flowing to big cities and airports along the East Coast.
\n
Rules Eased
\n
Some rules curbing domestic transportation of fuel have been eased to help deal with any shortages. That doesn’t extend to waiving the Jones Act, a measure that would allow foreign tankers to help shuffle more petroleum products between U.S. ports.
\n
Colonial has the capacity to send about 2.5 million barrels (105 million gallons) a day from Houston as far as North Carolina, and another 900,000 barrels a day to New York.
\n
Extortion Fee
\n
Ransomware cases involve hackers seeding networks with malicious software that encrypts the data and leaves the machines locked until the victims pay the extortion fee. This would be the biggest attack of its kind on a U.S. fuel pipeline.
\n
With gasoline inventories ample, pump prices weren’t expected to tick much higher until Memorial Day at the end of May, which is traditionally viewed as the start of the U.S. summer driving season. If the pipeline doesn’t restart soon it will accelerate the move higher.
\n
“Atlanta will be one of the earlier sore spots, along with eastern Tennessee, and perhaps the Carolinas,” said Patrick DeHaan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.
\n
The Northeast can secure gasoline shipments from Europe but it will come at an increasing cost the longer the pipeline stays shut. The fuel’s premium to crude in northwest Europe had jumped by more than 5% in intra-day trading earlier on Monday but was still down week-on-week.
\n
In the meantime, fuel producers including Marathon Petroleum Corp. are weighing alternatives for how to ship their products to the Northeast.
\n
One potential route is the Kinder Morgan-operated Plantation Pipeline, even though it only extends as far north Washington D.C. and has a capacity of 720,000 barrels a day, far short of Colonial’s. At least two gas stations in Tallahassee, Florida, were completely out of stock, according to employees who asked not to be named. In Asheville, North Carolina, Aubrey Clements, a clerk at an Exxon Mobil station answered the phone with “Hello, I’m currently out of gas.”\nColonial Pipeline said it’s manually operating a segment of the pipeline running from North Carolina to Maryland and expects to substantially restore all service by the weekend. The restart may not come fast enough to avert immediate shortages in the southeast, where North Carolina declared a state of emergency as gas stations reported running of out gasoline.\nThe Marathon gas station in Elizabethtown, North Carolina, had roughly two dozen cars waiting to fuel up, said Chanss Arnett, an employee there. The stations in town are all packed, Arnett said over the phone, where the door bell chimes from people entering could be heard every other minute. Drivers pulling into a station with a sign offering unleaded gasoline for $2.649 per gallon in Manning, South Carolina, were met with pumps covered in yellow and red “out of service” bags.\nShortages also hit the aviation industry, forcing American Airlines Group Inc. to add additional stops to two long-haul flights originating from Charlotte, North Carolina. A flight bound for Honolulu will stop at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport where customers will disembark and board a fully-fueled aircraft to continue on to Hawaii, while another bound for London will stop in Boston to pick up more fuel before crossing the Atlantic.\nThe conduit has been shut down since late Friday, prompting frenzied moves by traders and retailers to secure alternative supplies. On Monday, the Federal Bureau of Investigation pointed the finger at a ransomware gang known as DarkSide. The pipeline hasn’t suffered any physical damage and no fuel shortages have been detected, a White House official said.\nColonial Chief Executive Officer Joe Blount and a top lieutenant assured Deputy Energy Secretary David Turk and state-level officials on Monday that the company has complete operational control of the pipeline and won’t restart shipments until the ransomware has been neutralized.\nBases, Refineries\nIn an 18-minute virtual meeting, Blount said shortages may develop in some markets but said Colonial is working with refiners, marketers and retailers to prevent those, according to a person involved with the meeting who wasn’t authorized to speak publicly about the discussion.\nThe pipeline serves 90 U.S. military installations and 26 oil refineries, the person said. Meanwhile, President Joe Biden said Russia has “some responsibility” to address the attack.\nEmergency shipments of gasoline and diesel from Texas already are on the way to Atlanta and other southeast cities via trucks, and at least two Gulf Coast refineries began trimming output amid expectations that supplies will begin backing up in the nation’s oil-refining nexus. Airlines flying out of Philadelphia International Airport are burning through jet-fuel reserves and the airport has enough to last “a couple of weeks,’ a spokeswoman said.\nGovernment officials haven’t advised Colonial on whether it ought to pay the ransom, Deputy National Security Adviser for Cyber and Emerging Technologies Anne Neuberger said during a briefing.\nNew York Prices\nThe national average retail gasoline price rose to $2.967 a gallon on Monday, a 2.4% increase from Friday, according to AAA. The premium for wholesale gasoline in the New York area expanded to its widest in three months.\nThe attack came just as the nation’s energy industry was preparing to meet stronger fuel demand from summer travel. Americans are once again commuting to the office and booking flights after a year in lockdown. Depending on the duration of the disruption, retail prices could spike, further stoking fears of inflation as commodity prices rally worldwide.\nDarkSide said in a post on the dark web that it wasn’t to blame and hinted that an affiliate group may have been behind the attack. The group promised to do a better job of screening customers that buy its malware.\nGasoline futures that initially surged as much as 4.2% in overnight trading surrendered most of those gains on Monday.\nLearn more about how emergency powers can counter fuel-supply disruptions.\nConvenience-store chains in places like Atlanta and Savannah, Georgia, began clamoring for emergency fuel deliveries on Friday afternoon, said Steve Boyd, senior managing director at Houston-based distributor Sun Coast Resources Inc.\nWater-Borne Supplies\nLandlocked cities face the greatest danger of fuel shortages compared with those with access to water-borne deliveries, Boyd said. If the pipeline remains down for many more days, he’s anticipating a “massive surge” in orders. Sun Coast, which operates about 900 trucks, has delivered emergency supplies during 75 major storms over the past 15 years, including during hurricanes Harvey and Irma in 2017.\nGasoline for June delivery settled little changed at $2.1334 a gallon in New York. Futures prices have gained more than 50% this year, helped by the recovery from the worst effects of the pandemic.\nTankers Booked\nPrior to Colonial’s Monday statement, traders were seeking vessels to deliver fuel to coastal terminals. Four vessels were provisionally chartered to send diesel or gasoline from Europe to the U.S. Atlantic Coast, according to Danish oil-product tanker company Torm A/S.\nSome tankers are also being secure\nd to temporarily store gasoline along the Gulf Coast, according to market participants who asked not to be identified because the information isn’t public. Meanwhile, Total SE scaled back activity in a key unit at its Port Arthur, Texas, refinery because of the Colonial shutdown, according to a person familiar with operations. Citgo Petroleum Corp. took similar measures at its Lake Charles, La., plant.\nIncreased Security\nColonial halted all operations on its system late Friday after suffering a ransomware attack that affected some of its IT systems.\nThe event is just the latest example of critical infrastructure being targeted by ransomware. Hackers are increasingly attempting to infiltrate essential services such as electric grids and hospitals. The escalating threats prompted the White House to respond last month with a plan to increase security at utilities and their suppliers. Pipelines are a specific concern because of the central role they play in the U.S. economy.\n“It’s an all-hands-on-deck effort right now,” said U.S. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo. “We are working closely with the company, state and local officials to make sure that they get back up to normal operations as quickly as possible and there aren’t disruptions in supply.”\nThe White House pulled together an inter-agency task force to address the breach, including exploring options for lessening its impact, according to an official. Biden can invoke an array of emergency powers to ensure supplies keep flowing to big cities and airports along the East Coast.\nRules Eased\nSome rules curbing domestic transportation of fuel have been eased to help deal with any shortages. That doesn’t extend to waiving the Jones Act, a measure that would allow foreign tankers to help shuffle more petroleum products between U.S. ports.\nColonial has the capacity to send about 2.5 million barrels (105 million gallons) a day from Houston as far as North Carolina, and another 900,000 barrels a day to New York.\nExtortion Fee\nRansomware cases involve hackers seeding networks with malicious software that encrypts the data and leaves the machines locked until the victims pay the extortion fee. This would be the biggest attack of its kind on a U.S. fuel pipeline.\nWith gasoline inventories ample, pump prices weren’t expected to tick much higher until Memorial Day at the end of May, which is traditionally viewed as the start of the U.S. summer driving season. If the pipeline doesn’t restart soon it will accelerate the move higher.\n“Atlanta will be one of the earlier sore spots, along with eastern Tennessee, and perhaps the Carolinas,” said Patrick DeHaan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.\nThe Northeast can secure gasoline shipments from Europe but it will come at an increasing cost the longer the pipeline stays shut. The fuel’s premium to crude in northwest Europe had jumped by more than 5% in intra-day trading earlier on Monday but was still down week-on-week.\nIn the meantime, fuel producers including Marathon Petroleum Corp. are weighing alternatives for how to ship their products to the Northeast.\nOne potential route is the Kinder Morgan-operated Plantation Pipeline, even though it only extends as far north Washington D.C. and has a capacity of 720,000 barrels a day, far short of Colonial’s. Kinder said Sunday it’s working with customers to accommodate additional barrels during Colonial’s outage, and that Plantation is deferring where possible any non-essential maintenance that might otherwise reduce flow rates.\nWhile all of the major segments of Colonial’s system remain offline, some smaller so-called laterals connecting specific fuel terminals to delivery points are in service, the company said earlier.\nInventories offer minimal cover, ClearView Energy Partners said in a research note. Tankers leaving Rotterdam could take up to 14 days to make the trip to the New York Harbor. The Midwest could theoretically send some of its supplies to the East Coast via rail and barge, but the region’s inventories are tighter than in previous years, ClearView said.\n“The Colonial outage comes at a critical juncture for the recovering U.S. economy: the start of the summer driving season,” ClearView said. “We therefore think lawmakers could begin a ‘blame game’ immediately, and a sustained disruption that leads to a significant pump price spike could increase prospects of domestic policy interventions.”","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":29,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":105279667,"gmtCreate":1620309241559,"gmtModify":1704341728686,"author":{"id":"3578671423672074","authorId":"3578671423672074","name":"WaiKeat6789","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/b06933547917cf61d68a480d7c087a86","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3578671423672074","authorIdStr":"3578671423672074"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Cool","listText":"Cool","text":"Cool","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/105279667","repostId":"2133387578","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":76,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"lives":[]}
