However, Berkshire Hathaway still hasn't been much of a winner, with its shares at nearly the same level they were at the beginning of the year.

Though, if analysts are right, the Oracle of Omaha just might be able to continue his market-beating ways in 2023. According to Wall Street, these three Buffett stocks could soar by 39% to 83% next year.

1. Snowflake

Buffett himself likely didn't make the call to buy Snowflake for Berkshire's portfolio. One of his two investment managers -- Todd Combs or Ted Weschler -- probably led the charge. However, Buffett clearly went along for the ride. And it's been a wild one so far.

Berkshire quickly made close to $800 million after Snowflake's initial public offering (IPO) in 2020. The tech stock, though, has crashed nearly 60% so far this year, making it one of Buffett's biggest losers.

However, Wall Street remains bullish about Snowflake. The consensus price target for the stock represents an upside potential of 39%. In November, 28 of the 41 analysts surveyed by Refinitiv rated Snowflake as either a buy or a strong buy, with only one recommending investors sell the stock.

Buffett and his team seem to be content to wait on a rebound. So far, Berkshire hasn't sold a single share of Snowflake.

2. Amazon

There's no question that Buffett is a brilliant investor. But he has called himself an "idiot" for not buying shares of Amazon sooner. Berkshire's younger investment managers helped remedy the mistake, initiating a position in the e-commerce and cloud-hosting giant in 2019.

Over time, Berkshire added significantly to its stake in Amazon. Even with this increase, the stock still represents only 0.3% of the conglomerate's total portfolio.Ā That's been a good thing in 2022, with Amazon's shares falling nearly 50%.

Wall Street believes a big rebound could be on the way next year. The consensus price target for the stock is close to 60% above the current share price. Of the 47 analysts surveyed by Refinitiv in December, 43 view Amazon as either a buy or a strong buy.

Amazon hasn't traveled this much below its previous high in more than a decade. So why isn't Buffett buying the stock hand over fist? Probably the main reason is that he thinks other alternatives offer even more attractive valuations.

3. Nu Holdings

Buffett isn't heavily invested outside of the U.S. However,Ā Nu Holdings is one of the seven international stocks in his Berkshire portfolio. Berkshire first invested in the Brazilian fintech company in 2021.

Nu Holdings is neck-and-neck with Snowflake as Berkshire's worst-performing stock of 2022. Its shares have plunged nearly 60% year to date.

However, Wall Street thinks Nu's troubles should only be temporary. The average price target for the fintech stock is a whopping 83% higher than the current share price.

However, there's more dissent among analysts with Nu than for Amazon and Snowflake. Although 10 of the 17 analysts surveyed in November by Refinitiv rated Nu as a buy or strong buy, four recommended holding the stock, and three gave it an "underperform" rating.

Buffett and his investment managers appear to align more with the Nu Holdings bulls. Berkshire hasn't sold any of its stake in Nu this year as the stock was tanking.

","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
3 Warren Buffett Stocks That Could Soar 39% to 83% in 2023, According to Wall Street
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n3 Warren Buffett Stocks That Could Soar 39% to 83% in 2023, According to Wall Street\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2022-12-20 11:57 GMT+8 Motley Fool\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Warren Buffett is doing in 2022 what he's frequently done throughout his career -- beating the market. Nu HoldingsBuffett isn't heavily invested outside of the U.S. However,Ā Nu Holdings is one of the seven international stocks in his Berkshire portfolio. Berkshire first invested in the Brazilian fintech company in 2021.Nu Holdings is neck-and-neck with Snowflake as Berkshire's worst-performing stock of 2022. Its shares have plunged nearly 60% year to date. However, Wall Street thinks Nu's troubles should only be temporary. The average price target for the fintech stock is a whopping 83% higher than the current share price. However, there's more dissent among analysts with Nu than for Amazon and Snowflake. Although 10 of the 17 analysts surveyed in November by Refinitiv rated Nu as a buy or strong buy, four recommended holding the stock, and three gave it an \"underperform\" rating.Buffett and his investment managers appear to align more with the Nu Holdings bulls. Berkshire hasn't sold any of its stake in Nu this year as the stock was tanking.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":9,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9954666361,"gmtCreate":1676333767353,"gmtModify":1676333770871,"author":{"id":"3579242284896142","authorId":"3579242284896142","name":"CherryPang","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/72256d5f02e9431fb7df955e5b3418f8","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":1},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$SINGAPORE AIRLINES LTD(C6L.SI)$ good buy","listText":"$SINGAPORE AIRLINES LTD(C6L.SI)$ good buy","text":"$SINGAPORE AIRLINES LTD(C6L.SI)$ good buy","images":[{"img":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/21d6bbe38706a93ee7e8f6424bf0f85e","width":"1080","height":"1931"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":10,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9954666361","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":436,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":809879369,"gmtCreate":1627361349351,"gmtModify":1703488384055,"author":{"id":"3579242284896142","authorId":"3579242284896142","name":"CherryPang","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/72256d5f02e9431fb7df955e5b3418f8","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":1},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow","listText":"Wow","text":"Wow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":6,"commentSize":3,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/809879369","repostId":"2154964378","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":73,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":167019120,"gmtCreate":1624239021560,"gmtModify":1703831205807,"author":{"id":"3579242284896142","authorId":"3579242284896142","name":"CherryPang","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/72256d5f02e9431fb7df955e5b3418f8","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":1},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow ","listText":"Wow ","text":"Wow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":8,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/167019120","repostId":"1154249454","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":185195554,"gmtCreate":1623635962078,"gmtModify":1704207443857,"author":{"id":"3579242284896142","authorId":"3579242284896142","name":"CherryPang","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/72256d5f02e9431fb7df955e5b3418f8","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":1},"themes":[],"htmlText":"OK no problem","listText":"OK no problem","text":"OK no problem","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":6,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/185195554","repostId":"1146430910","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":9,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[{"author":{"id":"3582854091383813","authorId":"3582854091383813","name":"J7821717","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/af3e42db26d8c0bcd55e8b1c86a6f8ac","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0},"content":"Like and comment","text":"Like and comment","html":"Like and comment"}],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":113361934,"gmtCreate":1622594706728,"gmtModify":1704186914381,"author":{"id":"3579242284896142","authorId":"3579242284896142","name":"CherryPang","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/72256d5f02e9431fb7df955e5b3418f8","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":1},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":3,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/113361934","repostId":"1106176005","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1106176005","pubTimestamp":1622588821,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1106176005?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-06-02 07:07","market":"us","language":"en","title":"S&P 500 dips, as healthcare weighs; Dow ends higher","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1106176005","media":"Reuters","summary":"The S&P 500dipped on Tuesday, with declines in healthcare and tech shares countered by energy and financial gains, as investors weighed the latest U.S. economic data for signs of a rebound and rising inflation. The S&P 500 financial sectorhit a record high, while expected growth in fuel demand boosted oil prices and helped lift the energy sector3.9%, its biggest $one$-day gain in nearly four months. Lancz & Associates Inc, an investment advisory firm based in Toledo, Ohio.\nRight after the Fed statement, the S&P 500 index reversed slight declines though it still ended a hair lower on the day.\nInvestors have been worried about how rising inflation and a spike in COVID-19 cases might impact the central bankās plan to potentially start withdrawing its stimulus.\nThe central bank also said that higher inflation remained the result of ātransitory factors.ā The Fed kept its overnight benchmark interest rate near zero and left unchanged its bond-buying program.\nThe Nasdaq ended higher and shares of Google parent Alphabet Inc hit an all-time high as a surge in advertising spending helped it post record quarterly results. The stock ended up 3.2%.\nThe Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 127.59 points, or 0.36%, to 34,930.93, the S&P 500 lost 0.82 point, or 0.02%, to 4,400.64 and the Nasdaq Composite added 102.01 points, or 0.7%, to 14,762.58.\nThe Fedās statement came at the conclusion of its latest two-day policy meeting.\nāThey had a chance to signal they were going to become more hawkish and they chose not to take it. The most important thing is they are predictable and they are remaining predictable,ā said Ellen Hazen, portfolio manager at F.L. Putnam Investment Management in Wellesley, Massachusetts.\nIn other earnings news, Microsoft Corp ended down 0.1% even as a boom in cloud services helped it beat Wall Street expectations for revenue and earnings.\nVolume on U.S. exchanges was 9.86 billion shares, compared with a similar average for the full session over the last 20 trading days.\nAdvancing issues outnumbered declining ones on the NYSE by a 1.85-to-1 ratio; on Nasdaq, a 2.61-to-1 ratio favored advancers.\nThe S&P 500 posted 42 new 52-week highs and no new lows; the Nasdaq Composite recorded 44 new highs and 67 new lows.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":25,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":175891707,"gmtCreate":1627019395309,"gmtModify":1703482561434,"author":{"id":"3579242284896142","authorId":"3579242284896142","name":"CherryPang","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/72256d5f02e9431fb7df955e5b3418f8","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":1},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Good","listText":"Good","text":"Good","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":9,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/175891707","repostId":"1164478982","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1164478982","pubTimestamp":1626995319,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1164478982?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-07-23 07:08","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Wall Street ekes out gains, led by tech, growth stocks","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1164478982","media":"Reuters","summary":"NEW YORK - Big tech helped Wall Street inch up to a higher close on Thursday, modestly building on a two-day rally as lackluster economic data and mixed corporate earnings prompted a pivot back to growth stocks.A pull-back in economically sensitive cyclicals kept the S&P 500ās and the blue-chip Dowās gains muted, while small-caps underperformed their larger rivals.āThe market is flip-flopping between the view that economic growth has almost peaked so you need to buy stocks that manufacture thei","content":"
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Big tech helped Wall Street inch up to a higher close on Thursday, modestly building on a two-day rally as lackluster economic data and mixed corporate earnings prompted a pivot back to growth stocks.
\n
A pull-back in economically sensitive cyclicals kept the S&P 500ās and the blue-chip Dowās gains muted, while small-caps underperformed their larger rivals.
\n
But megacap tech and tech-adjacent stocks, such as Microsoft Corp, Amazon.com, Apple Inc, Facebook Inc and Alphabet Inc, rose ahead of their quarterly results next week, putting the Nasdaq out front.
\n
All three major U.S. stock indexes ended the session within 1% of their record closing highs.
\n
Growth stocks, which outperformed throughout the health crisis, were back in favor, gaining 0.8%, while the value index slipped by 0.5%.
\n
āThe market is flip-flopping between the view that economic growth has almost peaked so you need to buy stocks that manufacture their own growth like tech names, versus the view that economic growth will continue and you want to own cyclicals and value names,ā said David Carter, chief investment officer at Lenox Wealth Advisors in New York.
\n
The number of U.S. workers filing first-time applications for unemployment benefits spiked unexpectedly to 419,000 last week, a two-month high, according to the Labor Department.
\n
Market participants are closely watching labor market indicators for hints as to when the Federal Reserve, expected to convene next week for its two-day monetary policy meeting, will begin discussions about hiking key interest rates from near zero.
\n
āThe jobless data today didnāt have a meaningful impact on markets or the economic outlook,ā Carter added. āItās now all about how much longer the Fed will tolerate low rates. The companyās crypto exchange is the largest in the U.S. It was founded in 2012 by Brian Armstrong and Fred Ehrsam and calls San Francisco, Calif., its home.Coinbase isnāt the only company with IPO news for investors to take note of.Quite a few companies have been using initial public offerings to go public of late. That includesRoblox(NYSE:RBLX),CompassĀ (NYSE:COMP), andCourseraĀ (NYSE:COUR). Investors can learn more about these efforts below.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":53,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":351754546,"gmtCreate":1616635829785,"gmtModify":1704796702704,"author":{"id":"3579242284896142","authorId":"3579242284896142","name":"CherryPang","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/72256d5f02e9431fb7df955e5b3418f8","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":1},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wait for good price","listText":"Wait for good price","text":"Wait for good price","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":7,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/351754546","repostId":"1193689570","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1193689570","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1616635457,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1193689570?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-03-25 09:24","market":"hk","language":"en","title":"The Hang Seng Index fell 1.04% at the opening. of c","content":"
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Wall Street stocks struggled to eke out closing gains on Tuesday as a lack of clear market catalysts kept institutional investors on the sidelines, while retail traders fueled the ongoing meme stocks rally.

All three major U.S. stock indexes ended the range-bound session near flat or higher, with the S&P 500 and the Dow closing within about 0.5% of record highs.

The tech-laded Nasdaq Composite fared best, with Amazon.com Inc and Apple Inc providing the biggest boost.

āWeāre waiting for inflation numbers, waiting for more from the (Federal Reserve), waiting for earnings season,ā said Paul Nolte, portfolio manager at Kingsview Asset Management in Chicago. āThereās not a lot motivating the market today.ā

āWeāre in this twilight zone until probably right after the Fourth of July, when we see earnings season kick in,ā Nolte added.

The CBOE volatility index, a measure of investor anxiety, touched its lowest level in over a year.

Smallcaps, once again buoyed by the ongoing meme stock retail frenzy, were outperforming their larger counterparts.

Clover Health Investments seized top billing among meme stocks, surging 85.8%, the biggest percentage winner in the Nasdaq.

Other stocks whose recent explosive trading volumes have been attributed to social media buzz, including GameStop Corp, Bed Bath & Beyond Inc, Workhorse Group and others, ended the session between 7% and 12% higher.

ā(Meme stocks) are where the action is, but you flip it over and look crypto and thatās a mess,ā Nolte said. āNow the meme stocks are taking over from crypto as the place to be and itās all a consequence of very easy monetary policy.ā

Reports from the U.S. Labor Department and National Federation of Independent Business appeared to confirm a labor shortage even as demand roars back to life, which could put upward pressure on wages, a precursor to wider inflation.

Market participants look to Thursdayās consumer price index data for further clues regarding inflation, and how it could influence the Federal Reserveās timetable for tightening its monetary policy.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 30.42 points, or 0.09%, to 34,599.82; the S&P 500 gained 0.74 points, or 0.02%, at 4,227.26; and the Nasdaq Composite added 43.19 points, or 0.31%, at 13,924.91.

Of the 11 major sectors in the S&P 500, consumer discretionary enjoyed the biggest percentage gain, and utilities suffered the largest loss.

Sales of Tesla Incās China-made electric cars jumped in May by 29%, marking a 177% year-on-year increase, according to the China Passenger Car Association. The stock erased initial gains on the news to close down 0.3%.

Boeing Co shares were boosted by Southwest Airlinesā announcement that it had ordered 34 new 737 MAX aircraft, but the planemakerās shares pared gains to end the session flat.

GameStop, the company most closely associated with the Reddit-driven short squeeze phenomenon, is expected to report quarterly results after markets close on Wednesday.

Advancing issues outnumbered decliners on the NYSE by a 1.74-to-1 ratio; on Nasdaq, a 1.66-to-1 ratio favored advancers.

The S&P 500 posted 54 new 52-week highs and one new low; the Nasdaq Composite recorded 172 new highs and 16 new lows.

Volume on U.S. exchanges was 11.82 billion shares, compared with the 10.75 billion average over the last 20 trading days.
","source":"lsy1601381805984","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; the S&P 500 gained 0.74 points, or 0.02%, at 4,227.26; and the Nasdaq Composite added 43.19 points, or 0.31%, at 13,924.91.Of the 11 major sectors in the S&P 500, consumer discretionary enjoyed the biggest percentage gain, and utilities suffered the largest loss.Sales of Tesla Incās China-made electric cars jumped in May by 29%, marking a 177% year-on-year increase, according to the China Passenger Car Association. The stock erased initial gains on the news to close down 0.3%.Boeing Co shares were boosted by Southwest Airlinesā announcement that it had ordered 34 new 737 MAX aircraft, but the planemakerās shares pared gains to end the session flat.GameStop, the company most closely associated with the Reddit-driven short squeeze phenomenon, is expected to report quarterly results after markets close on Wednesday.Advancing issues outnumbered decliners on the NYSE by a 1.74-to-1 ratio; on Nasdaq, a 1.66-to-1 ratio favored advancers. The S&P 500 posted 54 new 52-week highs and one new low; the Nasdaq Composite recorded 172 new highs and 16 new lows.Volume on U.S. exchanges was 11.82 billion shares, compared with the 10.75 billion average over the last 20 trading days.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":56,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":105959084,"gmtCreate":1620265431648,"gmtModify":1704341012425,"author":{"id":"3579242284896142","authorId":"3579242284896142","name":"CherryPang","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/72256d5f02e9431fb7df955e5b3418f8","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":1},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":6,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/105959084","repostId":"2133652936","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":26,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":378095775,"gmtCreate":1618977629197,"gmtModify":1704717788989,"author":{"id":"3579242284896142","authorId":"3579242284896142","name":"CherryPang","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/72256d5f02e9431fb7df955e5b3418f8","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":1},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Good","listText":"Good","text":"Good","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/378095775","repostId":"2129289138","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2129289138","pubTimestamp":1618948839,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/2129289138?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-04-21 04:00","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Wall Street closes lower as virus spike hits travel stocks","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2129289138","media":"Reuters","summary":"Kansas City Southern surges on bid from Canadian National.
