The electric vehicle (EV) innovator hosted it","content":"

This has been an exciting week for Tesla(NASDAQ:TSLA). The electric vehicle (EV) innovator hosted its first-ever Cyber Rodeo to celebrate the opening of its Austin, Texas Gigafactory. The event brought many exciting updates as Elon Musk wowed the crowd of 15,000, paying homage to the state of Texas. While TSLA stock has struggled over the past few days, the momentum surrounding the company’s announcements will carry into the coming weeks. Tesla proved that it is focused on the road ahead and it has given investors several key reasons to be optimistic.

That doesn’t mean that this week’s news has all been good. While there have been some less-than-positive announcements out of Shanghai, Cyber Rodeo coverage has overshadowed most other news. Now that the event is over, investors know that Tesla has several major catalysts on the horizon. Wall Street will likely focus on that, particularly as production setbacks have never kept TSLA stock down for long. And for fans of the EV sector or of Tesla’s tech, there is plenty to look forward to.

As this week wraps up, let’s take a look at the top headlines that TSLA stock investors should be reading.

TSLA Stock News: Top Headlines of the Week

Tesla officially opens Texas Gigafactory

Cyber Rodeo is not just important because it captured the nation’s attention. It is important because it represents the opening of Tesla’s Austin, Texas Gigafactory. This is truly a monumental event in the company’s history. “We are really entering a new phase of Tesla’s future, Musk told the crowd. He added that when the factory begins full production, it will be “epic.” Indeed, the new factory offers Tesla the space it needs to grow and scale production. Tesla set a sales record for the first quarter of the year and it has no intention of slowing down. The Austin Gigafactory will allow it to accomplish exactly that, helping TSLA stock rise even more.

Tesla will sell its long-awaited Cybertruck next year, Elon Musk says

As noted, the Cyber Rodeo brought many exciting updates. One of the most important involves the Cybertruck. Attendees got a glimpse of the futuristic vehicle that Tesla fans have been looking forward to for months. Now the CEO claims that Tesla wants to have the truck in production before the end of 2023. “You’re going to have this next year, and it’s really going to be great,” he said at GigaFest. While Tesla’s history of meeting production deadlines isn’t immaculate, even speculation of Cybertruck progress is usually enough to send TSLA stock up. Additionally, Musk provided a similar update on the long-haul Tesla semi truck.

Long-time Tesla bull Ron Baron plans to hold the stock at least another eight years

Even while TSLA stock struggled this week, it received a strong endorsement from someone who believes in the company. Ron Baron is one of Tesla’s principle shareholders, with a stake that has increased by twentyfold since 2016. This week he appeared on “Squawk Box” on CNBC and made it clear he is as bullish on TSLA stock as ever. His firm, Baron Capital, has invested almost 13% of its assets in Tesla, totaling roughly $6.2 billion. Baron notes that he plans to still be holding TSLA stock in eight to 10 years. “I think for Tesla this is the very beginning of what they’re doing,” he said.

Biden administration, auto leaders want ‘seamless’ EV charging station use

Before the Cyber Rodeo, Musk had another important event. On April 6, he joined several other automotive CEOs in a virtual meeting with several members of President Joe Biden’s administration. The topic was the future of EVs and charging infrastructure. According to a White House statement, “there was broad consensus that charging stations and vehicles need to be interoperable and provide a seamless user experience.” Musk has criticized Bidenon numerous occasions for not acknowledging Tesla among the auto industry’s leaders. This meeting may usher in a turning point for the two.

Tesla’s ‘full self driving’ is more than vaporware. Why that’s good for the stock.

Throughout recent months, Tesla has faced considerable criticism for flaws in its full self-driving (FSD) tech. A primary argument among TSLA stock bears is that it will never be good enough to deliver on Musk’s promises. According to Tesla expert Al Root, though, this is not the case. He experienced it first hand while riding with a Tesla owner who was beta testing a new FSD system. Root confirms that the software is advancing well and it is part of the reason Tesla has become a trillion-dollar company. He sees it becoming an important upside driver for TSLA stock in the future.

Tesla ‘recalls’ another 120,000 vehicles in China, but it’s another software update fix

Tesla has recalled 120,000 EVs in China due to technical malfunctions. While recalls are never good news for an automaker, they haven’t kept TSLA stock down in the past. And according to Electrek, the incident is “another over-the-air software update fix.” While we don’t know much, the recalls were caused by what theSouth China Morning Post describes as an issue related to a “semiconductor component.”

","source":"lsy1606302653667","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
TSLA Stock News: 6 Biggest Headlines That Tesla Investors Need to Know This Week
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nTSLA Stock News: 6 Biggest Headlines That Tesla Investors Need to Know This Week\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2022-04-09 07:34 GMT+8 InvestorPlace\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
This has been an exciting week for Tesla(NASDAQ:TSLA). Plus, the company offers online video games in Latin America and Southeast Asia. Therefore, international tech market investors might consider a position in SE stock.

Just as a Bollywood movie is typically rife with action and drama, Sea Limited has provided active traders with constant excitement and thrills. However, not every development has been a positive one.

Notably, regulators in India have taken steps to crack down on perceived cybersecurity threats. As we’ll see, Sea Limited and its shareholder may have suffered collateral damage due to India’s regulatory measures.

Even as SE stock falls, though, not everyone is pessimistic about Sea Limited. Indeed, there’s at least one well-known investor whose fund bought the dip with a mega-scale share purchase.

A Closer Look at SE Stock

After the U.S. equities market bottomed out in March of 2020, many technology stocks rallied hard. Some of them went up too far and too fast and were probably due for a correction.

This may have been the case with SE stock, which soared from $38 in March 2020 to $372.70 in October 2021. An almost-900% return on investment might be something to celebrate, but it is also an indication that a retracement is likely imminent.

There aren’t any meaningful support levels to speak of here, as the Sea Limited share price just ascended without interruption and then crashed. By late February, the stock was hurtling toward $100.

Since SE stock is so volatile, it is important to maintain small position sizes and have an exit strategy. Don’t expect a revisit of $300 in the near future — for the time being, let’s just hope for the carnage to stop.

A Magic Wand

As I mentioned earlier, Sea Limited is involved in e-commerce websites, as well as video games. Lately, the company’s video-game business has been the focus of regulators in India. To quote InvestorPlace contributor Brian Paradza, Free Fire was Sea Limited’s breakthrough video game and a “magic wand” for the company.

Developed by Sea Limited subsidiary Garena, Free Fire is known to be addictive. This game, along with other video-game titles, helped Sea Limited’s Digital Entertainment segment surpass 729 million active users by September 2021.

That magic wand was recently broken, however. Reportedly, India’s Ministry of Home Affairs has banned Free Fire, along with 53 other apps, not all belonging to Sea Limited.

In response to this ban and Free Fire‘s unavailability on certain platforms in India, Garena stated, “We are working to address this situation, and we apologise to our users for any inconvenience.”

Wood Buys the Dip

As you might expect, the Free Fire ban didn’t help SE stock stay afloat at all. If anything, it probably hastened the stock’s drawdown.

Famous investor Cathie Wood doesn’t seem to be deterred by the stock’s decline, however. In a Bollywood-like dramatic turn of events, Wood’s Ark Invest reportedly purchased over 145,000 shares of Sea Limited. I cannot confirm Wood’s reasons for approving such a large share purchase. Still, it is possible that she simply saw an irresistible value proposition in Sea Limited.

Prospective investors should understand that video games aren’t Sea Limited’s only revenue source. In fact, the company recorded $4.6 billion in total payment volume in Sea Limited’s mobile-wallet business.

Besides, Sea Limited might not actually pose any cybersecurity threat at all. “We comply with Indian laws and regulations, and we do not transfer to or store any data of our Indian users in China,” the company assured.

If that is true, then Sea Limited might not continue to be a regulatory target — or at least, that is what Wood and other investors should hope.

The Bottom Line on SE Stock

I’m certainly not suggesting that anyone should buy SE stock just because Ark Invest took a stake. Wood’s involvement is an interesting point to mention, though.

More importantly, Sea Limited’s revenue doesn’t solely rely on Free Fire. The company can continue to generate capital with or without that particular game.

In the final analysis, don’t count on SE stock to provide another 900% rally anytime soon. Instead, be realistic — and be ready for more drama and excitement from Sea Limited.

","source":"lsy1606302653667","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Sea Limited Stock Is as Action-Packed as a Bollywood Film
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nSea Limited Stock Is as Action-Packed as a Bollywood Film\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2022-03-03 10:34 GMT+8 investorplace\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Based in Singapore, Sea Limited (NYSE:SE) operates e-commerce websites for countries in Southeast Asia and Taiwan. Rival AMD recently celebrated the fact that its market capitalization of $188 billion now eclipses that of Intel’s, which stands at just over $180 billion.

However, after years of stagnant growth, declining market share, and share price underperformance, Intel appears to now have a plan in place that might finally help the Santa Clara, California-based company turn its fortunes around.

New Focus

Pat Gelsinger became Intel’s chief executive officer (CEO) a little over a year ago, on Feb. 15, 2021. He came armed with a five year turnaround plan that will see Intel move away from the design of semiconductor chips to focus instead on becoming a foundry that manufacturers semiconductor chips for other companies, including its current rivals. To that end, Gelsinger has announced that Intel will spend $20 billion erecting new chip factories in Arizona and Ohio.

The company also plans to build a chip plant in Europe. News of the U.S.-based chip facilities was applauded by politicians who have criticized the current reliance on foreign chip foundries amid the ongoing global shortage in semiconductors.

At the same time, Intel is working double time to advance its own technology and come out with new semiconductor chips. The company is working on a server chip that uses extreme ultraviolet lithography and, once complete, will be a major breakthrough for Intel in terms of power and performance.

Over the last decade, Intel has fallen woefully behind its rivals in terms of technological advancements.Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company(NYSE:TSM), for example, now has microchips that operate on a 5-nanometer node compared to Intel’s 10-nanometer node. TSMC chips are literally twice as powerful and twice as efficient as those designed by Intel.

A Difficult Turnaround for INTC Stock

While Intel’s plans, and Pat Gelsinger’s vision, sound great, there are indications that advancing the company’s technology and pivoting to manufacturing chips will not be easy.

Case in point, INTC stock fell 5% on February 18 after it was announced during an investor day conference that the release of the heavily hyped new server chip would be delayed until 2024 from an initial date of 2023.

Gelsinger tried to counter skepticism about Intel’s massive turnaround effort, saying during the event that he will double the company’s earnings per share (EPS), but that it will take time and require investors to be patient.

Wall Street analysts and investors appear unwilling to look past Intel’s balance sheet and near-term outlook. Rather than focus on Gelsinger’s rhetoric, investors instead seized on the fact that Intel is forecasting a 4% decline in revenue this year, to $76 billion, due to its ongoing capital expenditures, as well as a sharp drop in profitability, down 27% from 2021 levels to $3.55 a share.

That forward guidance was enough to push INTC stock down further. Year-to-date, the share price has nowdeclined 8%to $47.42. The company has stressed that it is maintaining its dividend, which pays a healthy yield of 3.13%. However, the dividend seems to be providing little comfort to shareholders.

INTC Stock Has a Ways to Go Still

It’s all about execution at this point. While Intel clearly has some lofty goals and an ambitious turnaround plan in place, it remains to be seen if the company can successfully implement its strategy and meet the timelines it has set for itself.

The delayed server chip and earnings downgrade for this year suggest that the company is continuing to struggle right now. As such, investors should take a wait-and-see approach with Intel.

Keep an eye on the company and its stock, but wait until it becomes clear that the ship has turned around before taking a position. In the meantime, there are many other semiconductor stocks that offer superior returns, such as Nvidia and AMD. Right now, INTC stock is not a buy.

","source":"lsy1606302653667","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Wait for Intel’s Turnaround to Really Take Hold Before Buying
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nWait for Intel’s Turnaround to Really Take Hold Before Buying\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2022-02-28 19:13 GMT+8 InvestorPlace\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Is this the year that Intel Corp.(NASDAQ:INTC) finally turns things around?

The Austin Gigafactory will allow it to accomplish exactly that, helping TSLA stock rise even more.Tesla will sell its long-awaited Cybertruck next year, Elon Musk saysAs noted, the Cyber Rodeo brought many exciting updates. Additionally, Musk provided a similar update on the long-haul Tesla semi truck.Long-time Tesla bull Ron Baron plans to hold the stock at least another eight yearsEven while TSLA stock struggled this week, it received a strong endorsement from someone who believes in the company. “I think for Tesla this is the very beginning of what they’re doing,” he said.Biden administration, auto leaders want ‘seamless’ EV charging station useBefore the Cyber Rodeo, Musk had another important event. This meeting may usher in a turning point for the two.Tesla’s ‘full self driving’ is more than vaporware. Why that’s good for the stock.Throughout recent months, Tesla has faced considerable criticism for flaws in its full self-driving (FSD) tech. He sees it becoming an important upside driver for TSLA stock in the future.Tesla ‘recalls’ another 120,000 vehicles in China, but it’s another software update fixTesla has recalled 120,000 EVs in China due to technical malfunctions. While recalls are never good news for an automaker, they haven’t kept TSLA stock down in the past. And according to Electrek, the incident is “another over-the-air software update fix.” While we don’t know much, the recalls were caused by what theSouth China Morning Post describes as an issue related to a “semiconductor component.”","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":611,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9010174579,"gmtCreate":1648310393922,"gmtModify":1676534327000,"author":{"id":"3580206161320013","authorId":"3580206161320013","name":"shadow82","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/38f8eaa4fc5dc2335f9a24dbf333c0f5","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3580206161320013","authorIdStr":"3580206161320013"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Great","listText":"Great","text":"Great","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9010174579","repostId":"1172985716","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1172985716","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1648216577,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1172985716?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-03-25 21:56","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Cannabis Stocks Rallied in Morning Trading, with Clever Leaves Jumping Over 30% and Tilray Jumping Nearly 15%","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1172985716","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Cannabis Stocks rallied in morning trading, with Clever Leaves jumping over 30% and Tilray jumping ne","content":"

Cannabis Stocks rallied in morning trading, with Clever Leaves jumping over 30% and Tilray jumping nearly 15%.The U.S. House of Representatives will vote on the Marijuana Opportunity, Reinvestment and Expungement (MORE) Act next week.

","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; After a sizable rally in the first third of the year, INTC stock finished 2021 in a tepid fashion. 2022 has been much worse thus far.

The world’s largest semiconductor chip manufacturer has been struggling to right its own ship for more than five years now, and has been eclipsed by competitors such as Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) and Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ:AMD).

This fact is reflected in the performance of Intel stock. In the past five years, INTC shares have gained 24%, compared to an 809% gain for NVDA stock and a gain of 700% for shares of AMD.
