Muse takes a cut per transaction. Whose front door does it touch? My ranking, and how I'm trading the fallout with sell puts Written Thursday, 24 Sept (SGT), using Wednesday's US close. What Meta actually announced Meta Connect opened on Wednesday with $1,299 VR glasses, camera-free smart glasses, and the first real answer to the question everyone has been asking about Muse: how does it make money? The answer is a toll. Meta says Muse will be free for a large number of tokens, and over time it expects to profit by taking a small fee on transactions. It hasn't said how big the fee is. There's also a subscription layer, with monthly plans from $20 to $100 above a free option. The plumbing is already in place: Payments and checkout: Stripe handles the payment rails, Shop Pay covers Shopify's

Memory prices up over 500%. Does that still count as good news? A cycle view, and how I trade it with sell puts Written Thursday, 24 Sept (SGT). First, is the 500% number real? Mostly, yes. It depends on which chip and which price you look at. For the newest standard memory, DDR5 is up nearly 500% year on year. The spot market is even more extreme: DRAM spot prices have surged nearly 700% over the past year, according to a Bloomberg report from July. Contract prices, which is what big buyers actually pay, moved in huge quarterly steps. TrendForce measured conventional DRAM contract prices up 93% to 98% quarter over quarter in Q1 2026, with many DDR5 SKUs up 3.5 to 4 times and DDR4 kits roughly doubling. Even after all of that, prices were still rising in August. PC DRAM averaged a record $

Jensen Huang drops a number. Why AI hardware came all the way back, and how I'm playing it with sell puts Written Wednesday morning SGT, using Tuesday's US close. The number On September 17, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said the company will double the number of chips it sells next year. His exact words were: "I expect Nvidia to sell twice as many chips as this next year as we do this year." He said it at the AI summit King Charles III hosted at Dumfries House in Scotland. The comment covers all of Nvidia's chips, not just GPUs. That includes the flagship Blackwell and upcoming Vera Rubin GPUs, Grace CPUs, optical networking chips, automotive platforms and Jetson robotics processors. It also builds on guidance Nvidia already gave. On the August 26 earnings call, CFO Colette Kress laid out a 70%

Nasdaq at a record. How many stocks are actually driving it? A breadth check through my sell-put lens Written Wednesday morning SGT, using Tuesday's US close. The headline On Monday, the Nasdaq Composite gained 2.26% for a record close of 27,122.09, its first since June. It did it again on Tuesday: the tech-heavy index gained 0.45% to 27,244.28, while the S&P 500 closed relatively flat at 7,764.64. The Nasdaq-100 crossed the 30,000 level on September 21. That's what the index did. The stocks inside it tell a different story. The breadth data On Monday, the S&P 500 had seven new 52-week highs and 24 new lows. On the Nasdaq, there were 64 new 52-week highs and 127 new lows. Put simply, the index jumped while about twice as many Nasdaq stocks hit fresh 52-week lows as highs. It goes d

Why did Meta slip the day before Connect? A +11% day, stretched technicals, and how I'd approach it with sell puts Written Wednesday morning SGT, using Tuesday's US close. First, a bit of perspective "Meta fell" sounds dramatic, but look at the size of the move. On Tuesday, Meta (META) shares slipped slightly after popping 11% on Monday as the company's Muse AI agent app reached the top spot on the App Store. That was not a selloff. After a day like Monday, it was a pause. Monday was big. Meta stock closed up 11.34% Monday, reaching its highest level since January as investors cheered early traction for Muse. Meta gained more than $200 billion in market value intraday. The stock is also up about 28% in September. So the real question isn't why Meta fell. It's why a stock that had just adde

Stocks to Watch Today: Nasdaq at a record, VIX under 15, and a Micron earnings wall. How I'm running my sell puts into it Written Wednesday morning SGT, using Tuesday's US close. Where we stand The market has had a strong start to the week. On Monday the Nasdaq Composite rose 2.26% and posted a record closing high for the first time since June 2, while the S&P 500 gained 1.49%, just shy of its record. Tuesday was quieter. The Nasdaq gained 0.5% to close at a record 27244, while the S&P 500 finished flat and the Dow shed 185 points. (Bilyonaryo) (TRADING ECONOMICS) Two numbers matter most for anyone selling premium. First, volatility. Even after that rally, the CBOE Volatility Index (VIX) was up 0.41% to 14.87. A VIX under 15 means option buyers are paying very little for protection
