Two brokerages have raised their respective earnings forecasts for Raffles Medical Group and Q&M Dental Group as they consider these healthcare stocks well-poised to capture opportunities presented by Covid-19.\nIn a report on Friday (June 11), UOB Kay Hian reiterated its \"buy\" call on the shares of Raffles Medical Group with a higher target price of $1.27 compared to $1.12 previously to factor in 8 to 10 per cent higher earnings forecasts for financial year (FY) 2021 to FY2023.\nIn the view of UOB Kay Hian's analysts, the firm is set to benefit from increasing Covid-19 testing in Singapore and an accelerated rate of vaccinations administered over the next few months.\n\"We opine that the sustained need for testing as well as continual screening for travellers will enable Raffles Medical to be a proxy for continued healthcare services as the Covid-19 situation evolves into an endemic,\" said the analysts.\nThey are expecting such Covid-19 related contributions to also help to offset a loss of government grant support in 2021.\nThe brokerage is also positive on Raffles Medical's recently announced partnership with a subsidiary of China Life Insurance (Group), which will allow collaborations and initiatives across a variety of areas for Raffles Medical's operations in China.\n\"A potential collaboration in healthcare financing could enable Raffles Hospital in China to be on the medical panel of China Life's medical insurance network, which we opine could aid billing intensity for more expensive medical treatments,\" noted its analysts.\nOn the other hand, KGI Securities has raised its price target for Q&M Dental Group to $0.91 from $0.54, while maintaining \"outperform\" on the dental service company.\nNoting a “surprisingly strong” maiden contribution from Q&M’s 51 per cent subsidiary, Acumen Diagnostics, for the first quarter of FY2021, KGIO Securities analyst Joel Ng said he is confident on the medium-term outlook of the unit. Acumen Diagnostics is mainly involved in the manufacture, sale and distribution of diagnostic test kits for Covid-19.\n\"Q&M continues to generate stable and resilient earnings, and we foresee no material changes in or threats to its market share in the private dental space in the medium term,\" said Mr Ng.\n\"Overall, Singapore continues to be the main revenue driver as a significant proportion of Q&M's sales are generated by the local segment. With Q&M's plans on expanding its network, we expect resilience in future years via gaining greater market share,\" he added.\nShares Raffles Medical was trading $0.01 or 0.9 per cent higher at $1.15 as at 11.12am on Friday, while Q&M was up by one cent or 1.5 per cent at 68.5 cents.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":57,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":188716065,"gmtCreate":1623461821857,"gmtModify":1704204227546,"author":{"id":"3581498634889397","authorId":"3581498634889397","name":"Jtws","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581498634889397","authorIdStr":"3581498634889397"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow","listText":"Wow","text":"Wow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/188716065","repostId":"2142572209","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2142572209","pubTimestamp":1623426300,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2142572209?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-06-11 23:45","market":"us","language":"en","title":"KKR Expands Aircraft Lending, Buying $800 Million CIT Portfolio","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2142572209","media":"Bloomberg","summary":"(Bloomberg) -- KKR & Co. has acquired an almost $800 million loan portfolio from CIT Group Inc. as i","content":"
(Bloomberg) -- KKR & Co. has acquired an almost $800 million loan portfolio from CIT Group Inc. as it seeks to expand its footprint in the aviation sector.
\n
The deal is part of the global investment firm’s launch of a new commercial aviation lending platform, AV AirFinance Limited, which will provide secured financing to airlines, lessors, manufacturers and investors. The purchase includes more than fifty loans for about sixty commercial aircrafts, according to a company statement. The loans, on average, yield in the mid-single digits and have about four years remaining before maturing.
\n
KKR’s acquisition adds to its growing presence in the aviation space. It agreed to buy Atlantic Aviation from Macquarie Infrastructure Corp for $4.48 billion in cash, assuming its debt and restructuring obligations, Bloomberg News reported earlier this week. The firm also provided a credit facility of as much as $150 million to California-based private aviation company Jet Edge International.
\n
It’s launching the platform at a time when banks have been stepping back from the sector and commercial aircraft owners have a greater need for stable, long-term financing options, Dan Pietrzak, partner and co-head of private credit at KKR told Bloomberg in an emailed statement.
\n
“AV AirFinance is an exciting expansion of our asset-based finance strategy into directly originated commercial aircraft loans, which represent an attractive downside protected investment opportunity for our long-term capital,” Pietrzak said.
\n
Siggi Kristinsson has been tapped as AV AirFinance’s chief executive officer. Kristinsson co-founded and served as CEO of Volito Aviation Services AB, which provided debt origination and advisory services to Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and other financial institutions, according to the statement. The purchase includes more than fifty loans for about sixty commercial aircrafts, according to a company statement. The loans, on average, yield in the mid-single digits and have about four years remaining before maturing.\nKKR’s acquisition adds to its growing presence in the aviation space. It agreed to buy Atlantic Aviation from Macquarie Infrastructure Corp for $4.48 billion in cash, assuming its debt and restructuring obligations, Bloomberg News reported earlier this week. The firm also provided a credit facility of as much as $150 million to California-based private aviation company Jet Edge International.\nIt’s launching the platform at a time when banks have been stepping back from the sector and commercial aircraft owners have a greater need for stable, long-term financing options, Dan Pietrzak, partner and co-head of private credit at KKR told Bloomberg in an emailed statement.\n“AV AirFinance is an exciting expansion of our asset-based finance strategy into directly originated commercial aircraft loans, which represent an attractive downside protected investment opportunity for our long-term capital,” Pietrzak said.\nSiggi Kristinsson has been tapped as AV AirFinance’s chief executive officer. Kristinsson co-founded and served as CEO of Volito Aviation Services AB, which provided debt origination and advisory services to Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and other financial institutions, according to the statement. Ryan Jasinski will join from CIT to focus on loan origination in the Americas. Blockchain “has been a solution looking for a problem for years now -- but what you’re starting to see is it’s getting real. There’s real-use cases,” she said.
\n
The group, which starts off with 400 to 450 staff, is gearing up a series of products and services, including cryptocurrency trading software and support for “tokenized” assets, Chakar said. Tokenization refers to establishing a digital share of ownership that can be more easily traded and opens up an asset potentially to a wider universe of investors.
\n
“You can tokenize a building -- you can trade a fraction of it without selling a whole building,” Chakar said. There are “all new ways of unlocking liquidity,” she said, adding that State Street created the unit after the “intensity” of outreach from clients increased.
\n
The move to expand digital offerings comes amid a period of volatility in cryptocurrencies and increasing concern among regulators about their use for illicit purposes.
\n
Boston-based State Street, a designated global systemically important financial institution, won’t be investing in cryptocurrencies directly, Chakar said. The Basel Committee on Banking Supervision said on Thursday that banks will face the toughest capital requirements for holdings in Bitcoin and other crypto assets under global regulators’ plans to ward off threats to financial stability from the volatile market.
\n
Read More: Bitcoin Put in Highest Risk Category in Bank Capital Plan
\n
The group will instead offer support for clients investing in crypto. At some point, State Street, whose shares are up 15% in 2021, could serve as a sort of Coinbase for institutional investors, Chakar said. “We are evaluating and probably will -- but it’s still early days -- whether State Street itself will offer native wallet-management services.”
\n
State Street serves as custodian or administrator for more than $40 trillion, and also had $3.6 trillion in assets under management at the end of March.
\n
The digital unit is the latest in a series of moves by financial giants to adapt to the digitalization of markets. Fidelity Investments in 2018 jumped into the cryptocurrency arena with a new business to manage digital assets for hedge funds, family offices and trading firms.
\n
Related: Fidelity Starts Crypto Business to Serve Wall Street Clients
\n
BNY Mellon in February also announced a new unit, saying that enabling the use of digital assets was “critical to transforming the future of custody.”
\n
With technology and client interest evolving, “our concern was if we don’t get ahead of it when it takes off it may be really hard to catch up,” Chakar said.
\n
One key task for State Street will be working with regulators as they establish rules for the emerging industry, Chakar said. The Securities and Exchange Commission is currently reviewing an application for a VanEck Associates Corp. Blockchain “has been a solution looking for a problem for years now -- but what you’re starting to see is it’s getting real. There’s real-use cases,” she said.\nThe group, which starts off with 400 to 450 staff, is gearing up a series of products and services, including cryptocurrency trading software and support for “tokenized” assets, Chakar said. Tokenization refers to establishing a digital share of ownership that can be more easily traded and opens up an asset potentially to a wider universe of investors.\n“You can tokenize a building -- you can trade a fraction of it without selling a whole building,” Chakar said. There are “all new ways of unlocking liquidity,” she said, adding that State Street created the unit after the “intensity” of outreach from clients increased.\nThe move to expand digital offerings comes amid a period of volatility in cryptocurrencies and increasing concern among regulators about their use for illicit purposes.\nBoston-based State Street, a designated global systemically important financial institution, won’t be investing in cryptocurrencies directly, Chakar said. The Basel Committee on Banking Supervision said on Thursday that banks will face the toughest capital requirements for holdings in Bitcoin and other crypto assets under global regulators’ plans to ward off threats to financial stability from the volatile market.\nRead More: Bitcoin Put in Highest Risk Category in Bank Capital Plan\nThe group will instead offer support for clients investing in crypto. At some point, State Street, whose shares are up 15% in 2021, could serve as a sort of Coinbase for institutional investors, Chakar said. “We are evaluating and probably will -- but it’s still early days -- whether State Street itself will offer native wallet-management services.”\nState Street serves as custodian or administrator for more than $40 trillion, and also had $3.6 trillion in assets under management at the end of March.\nThe digital unit is the latest in a series of moves by financial giants to adapt to the digitalization of markets. Fidelity Investments in 2018 jumped into the cryptocurrency arena with a new business to manage digital assets for hedge funds, family offices and trading firms.\nRelated: Fidelity Starts Crypto Business to Serve Wall Street Clients\nBNY Mellon in February also announced a new unit, saying that enabling the use of digital assets was “critical to transforming the future of custody.”\nWith technology and client interest evolving, “our concern was if we don’t get ahead of it when it takes off it may be really hard to catch up,” Chakar said.\nOne key task for State Street will be working with regulators as they establish rules for the emerging industry, Chakar said. The Securities and Exchange Commission is currently reviewing an application for a VanEck Associates Corp. Bitcoin exchange-traded fund for which State Street would be the administrator.\nQuickTake: How Wall Street’s Quest for a Bitcoin ETF Is Going\nThere’s been a “proliferation” of ideas among clients, Chakar said. “The main mission” is to enable clients, and clients’ customers, to transition to the “digital ecosystem,” she said. That could include allowing a hedge fund and a pension fund to trade and offset each other, she said. U.S. government bonds have also rallied after their first-quarter selloff, with the benchmark 10-year Treasury yield, which moves inversely to prices, recently at 1.46%, some 30 basis points below its first quarter highs.
\n
Some of those gains have been predicated on the Fed’s assurances that rising inflation will not last long enough to warrant a sooner-than-expected end to easy-money policies. The central bank may open discussion at the Tuesday-Wednesday meeting about when to begin unwinding its $120 billion per month purchases of government bonds, though most analysts don't expect a decision before the Fed's annual Jackson Hole, Wyoming, conference in August.
\n
For now, it appears some investors are coming around to the Fed’s way of thinking on inflation. Stocks on Thursday brushed off data showing that consumer prices rose in May at their fastest annual pace in 13 years, as the S&P 500 hit a new record. By contrast, a much higher-than-expected inflation number last month caused a selloff in stocks.
\n
Strong inflation numbers aside, recent data has offered snapshots of an economy that is strengthening but does not appear to be close to overheating. Employment, for instance, remains about 7.6 million jobs below its February 2020 peak while the latest monthly report fell short of economists estimates.
\n
\"We are making progress, but the economy is not completely on fire and a runaway train where the Fed has to take action,\" said Chris Galipeau, senior market strategist at Putnam Investments. \"That puts us in the 'Goldilocks' scenario.\"
\n
Still, others worry that markets have grown too complacent on inflation and other risks that could derail the current rally, from potential higher taxes to peaking economic growth rates.
\n
Analysts at BofA Global Research on Friday outlined a number of reasons that inflation may be more sustained than many expect, including second-tier indicators such as the National Federation of Independent Businesses survey of small businesses showing price pressures are filtering to customers.
\n
“The list of excuses for transitory inflation is getting long. The risk of higher, more persistent inflation is growing,” BofA’s analysts wrote.
\n
More broadly, bullish sentiment among individual investors has been above its historical average of 38% for 25 of the last 30 weeks, according to the American Association of Individual Investors. Bearish sentiment, meanwhile, is below its historical average of 30.5% for the 18th consecutive week.
\n
“At current levels, pessimism remains unusually low,” the AAII said on its website. “Historically, below-average readings for bearish sentiment have been followed by below-average six- and 12-month returns for the S&P 500 index.”
\n
Bulls can point to plenty of reasons for stocks to remain strong. Most investors believe the Fed will only start tapering its bond purchases in late 2021 or early next year. Bets in the eurodollar futures markets show investors believe the Fed will start hiking its benchmark rate in late 2022.
\n
Rising estimates for corporate profit growth are also supporting stocks. S&P 500 earnings are now expected to jump 36% this year, compared to an April estimate of 26% growth, with earnings expected to rise another roughly 12% in 2022, according to Refinitiv IBES.\nThat has not stopped some of the world’s biggest banks, including Morgan Stanley, from warning in recent months that the market is primed for a sharp pullback.\nMatthew Miskin, co-chief investment strategist at John Hancock Investment Management, still favors stocks over bonds, with a preference for the healthcare, industrials, technology and communication services sectors.\n\"We are due for some volatility and we have been saying that, and yet dips have been met with very strong demand,\" he said.\n(Additional reporting by Karen Brettell; Editing by Cynthia Osterman)\n((lewis.krauskopf@thomsonreuters.com; 646-223-6082; Reuters Messaging: lewis.krauskopf.thomsonreuters.com@reuters.net, Twitter: @LKrauskopf))","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":116,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"hots":[{"id":122476104,"gmtCreate":1624631720808,"gmtModify":1703842307093,"author":{"id":"3581498634889397","authorId":"3581498634889397","name":"Jtws","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581498634889397","authorIdStr":"3581498634889397"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Torchlight Energy Resources(TRCH)$last chance to see $5, next week will be standing above $10 [Sly] [Miser] fly like amc and GameStop gogogo","listText":"$Torchlight Energy Resources(TRCH)$last chance to see $5, next week will be standing above $10 [Sly] [Miser] fly like amc and GameStop gogogo","text":"$Torchlight Energy Resources(TRCH)$last chance to see $5, next week will be standing above $10 [Sly] [Miser] fly like amc and GameStop gogogo","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":16,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":1,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/122476104","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":559,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":127702592,"gmtCreate":1624867708316,"gmtModify":1703846572359,"author":{"id":"3581498634889397","authorId":"3581498634889397","name":"Jtws","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581498634889397","authorIdStr":"3581498634889397"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Torchlight Energy Resources(TRCH)$How come my loss 40% now become 20% [Tongue] [Shy] ","listText":"$Torchlight Energy Resources(TRCH)$How come my loss 40% now become 20% [Tongue] [Shy] ","text":"$Torchlight Energy Resources(TRCH)$How come my loss 40% now become 20% [Tongue] [Shy]","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":8,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/127702592","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2782,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[{"author":{"id":"3584004575815814","authorId":"3584004575815814","name":"幽兰sd","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/21be25ead30d84e47fa91bbc392670a9","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"idStr":"3584004575815814","authorIdStr":"3584004575815814"},"content":"What's going on, ?","text":"What's going on, ?","html":"What's going on, ?"}],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":141603770,"gmtCreate":1625853420490,"gmtModify":1703749954810,"author":{"id":"3581498634889397","authorId":"3581498634889397","name":"Jtws","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581498634889397","authorIdStr":"3581498634889397"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Meta Materials Inc.(MMAT)$? U.S. government bonds have also rallied after their first-quarter selloff, with the benchmark 10-year Treasury yield, which moves inversely to prices, recently at 1.46%, some 30 basis points below its first quarter highs.
\n
Some of those gains have been predicated on the Fed’s assurances that rising inflation will not last long enough to warrant a sooner-than-expected end to easy-money policies. Signals that the Fed is growing less confident in those assumptions could unsettle stocks, which have benefited from quantitative easing, and hurt bonds, as rising prices erode the value of longer-dated debt.
\n
Investors “are going to be looking for signs that the Fed might believe that inflation is more permanent,\" said Michael Arone, chief investment strategist for State Street Global Advisors.
\n
The Fed has maintained that it has the tools to deal with accelerating inflation.
S&P 500 earnings are now expected to jump 36% this year, compared to an April estimate of 26% growth, with earnings expected to rise another roughly 12% in 2022, according to Refinitiv IBES.
\n
That has not stopped some of the world’s biggest banks, including Morgan Stanley, from warning in recent months that the market is primed for a sharp pullback.
\n
Matthew Miskin, co-chief investment strategist at John Hancock Investment Management, still favors stocks over bonds, with a preference for the healthcare, industrials, technology and communication services sectors.
\n
\"We are due for some volatility and we have been saying that, and yet dips have been met with very strong demand,\" he said.
\n
(Additional reporting by Karen Brettell; Editing by Cynthia Osterman)
\n
((lewis.krauskopf@thomsonreuters.com; 646-223-6082; Reuters Messaging: lewis.krauskopf.thomsonreuters.com@reuters.net, Twitter: @LKrauskopf))
","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Wall St Week Ahead-Fed meeting looms for stocks as inflation worries collide with 'Goldilocks' markets
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nWall St Week Ahead-Fed meeting looms for stocks as inflation worries collide with 'Goldilocks' markets\n
\n\n
\n\n\n\n\n\n

\n\n
\n
Reuters
\n
2021-06-12 04:45
\n
\n\n\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
NEW YORK, June 11 (Reuters) - Investors will be zeroing in on the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy meeting next week as a \"Goldilocks\" market environment that has helped lift stocks to record highs and tamed a bond selloff is tested by rising inflation.
\n
Stocks have climbed steadily in recent weeks and now stand at fresh records, extending a rally that has seen the S&P 500 gain 13% this year and nearly 90% from its March 2020 low. U.S. government bonds have also rallied after their first-quarter selloff, with the benchmark 10-year Treasury yield, which moves inversely to prices, recently at 1.46%, some 30 basis points below its first quarter highs.\nSome of those gains have been predicated on the Fed’s assurances that rising inflation will not last long enough to warrant a sooner-than-expected end to easy-money policies. Signals that the Fed is growing less confident in those assumptions could unsettle stocks, which have benefited from quantitative easing, and hurt bonds, as rising prices erode the value of longer-dated debt.\nInvestors “are going to be looking for signs that the Fed might believe that inflation is more permanent,\" said Michael Arone, chief investment strategist for State Street Global Advisors.\nThe Fed has maintained that it has the tools to deal with accelerating inflation. The central bank may open discussion at the Tuesday-Wednesday meeting about when to begin unwinding its $120 billion per month purchases of government bonds, though most analysts don't expect a decision before the Fed's annual Jackson Hole, Wyoming, conference in August.\nFor now, it appears some investors are coming around to the Fed’s way of thinking on inflation. Stocks on Thursday brushed off data showing that consumer prices rose in May at their fastest annual pace in 13 years, as the S&P 500 hit a new record. By contrast, a much higher-than-expected inflation number last month caused a selloff in stocks.\nStrong inflation numbers aside, recent data has offered snapshots of an economy that is strengthening but does not appear to be close to overheating. Employment, for instance, remains about 7.6 million jobs below its February 2020 peak while the latest monthly report fell short of economists estimates.\n\"We are making progress, but the economy is not completely on fire and a runaway train where the Fed has to take action,\" said Chris Galipeau, senior market strategist at Putnam Investments. \"That puts us in the 'Goldilocks' scenario.\"\nStill, others worry that markets have grown too complacent on inflation and other risks that could derail the current rally, from potential higher taxes to peaking economic growth rates.\nAnalysts at BofA Global Research on Friday outlined a number of reasons that inflation may be more sustained than many expect, including second-tier indicators such as the National Federation of Independent Businesses survey of small businesses showing price pressures are filtering to customers.\n“The list of excuses for transitory inflation is getting long. No problem.\nMicrosoft said on Thursday (June 10) its Xbox gaming unit is working on new hardware and deals with television makers that will let people play games and experience the Xbox without needing to buy a gaming machine.\nThe news came as Microsoft and other video game industry heavyweights prepare to show off coming titles at an annual Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) being held virtually beginning Saturday due to the pandemic.\n\"As a company, Microsoft is all-in on gaming,\" chief executive Satya Nadella said in introducing the plan.\nThe idea would be to embed the Xbox experience directly into an Internet-connected TV with nothing else needed except for a video game controller, Microsoft said.\nMicrosoft has been playing on the strength of its Xbox unit as it vies with Amazon's Luna and Google's Stadia cloud gaming services.\nThe United States-based technology giant also announced it is building devices that will plug into any television screen or computer monitor to stream Xbox game play without any consoles.\nMicrosoft's latest Xbox consoles, released last fall, remain in short supply amid a chip shortage that is constraining industries from tech to autos and Microsoft has said it expects to continue to feel the squeeze in the coming months.\nMicrosoft declined to provide more details on the hardware or the planned partnerships.\nAs the company tries to smooth and boost revenue flow by getting more customers on to video-game subscriptions that offer access to hundreds of titles and cloud gaming, Microsoft said subscribers to these services are buying even more content besides their monthly fee.\nIn August, Xbox Vice President Sarah Bond said subscribers to Xbox's Game Pass service spend 20 per cent more on extra games and downloadable content.\nNow, that number is up to 50 per cent, Microsoft said in a briefing and blog posts shared with reporters ahead of E3.\nIn an interview, Ms Bond said the increase is probably due to improved quality of the offering and customers getting more familiar with it.\n\"If you look at the evolution of the catalogue over time, the quality of the games, the sophistication of the games, the percentage of games that have a really well-built, in-game monetisation mechanic, people's understanding of the catalogue and the benefit that comes with Game Pass, I think all that's been advancing and contributes,\" she said.\nIn coming weeks, cloud gaming with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions will be possible through Internet browsers Chrome, Edge and Safari, according to Microsoft.\n\"There's still a place for consoles and PCs and frankly, there always will be, but through the cloud, we will be able to deliver a robust gaming experience to anyone connected to the internet,\" said Xbox unit head Phil Spencer.\n\"And with the cloud, gaming players can participate fully in the same Xbox experience as people on local hardware.\"\nXbox Game Pass had some 18 million subscribers worldwide at the end of last year, according to figures released by Mr Nadella.\nVideo game play has surged during the pandemic, as people turned more than ever to the Internet for entertainment.\nOverall consumer spending on video gaming in the United States totalled just shy of US$15 billion (S$19.8 billion) in the first quarter of this year, up 30 per cent from the same period in 2020, according to industry tracker NPD Group.\nMicrosoft will stream an Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase on Sunday, featuring games from its studios around the world.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":214,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":186087804,"gmtCreate":1623465449208,"gmtModify":1704204386824,"author":{"id":"3581498634889397","authorId":"3581498634889397","name":"Jtws","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581498634889397","authorIdStr":"3581498634889397"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Gogogo","listText":"Gogogo","text":"Gogogo","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/186087804","repostId":"2142799002","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2142799002","pubTimestamp":1623386292,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2142799002?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-06-11 12:38","market":"sg","language":"en","title":"Analysts raise earnings forecasts for healthcare firms as Covid-19 testing, vaccinations ramp up","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2142799002","media":"The Straits Times","summary":"SINGAPORE (THE BUSINESS TIMES) - Two brokerages have raised their respective earnings forecasts for Raffles Medical Group and Q&M Dental Group as they consider these healthcare stocks well-poised to capture opportunities presented by Covid-19.\nIn a report on Friday (June 11), UOB Kay Hian reiterated its \"buy\" call on the shares of Raffles Medical Group with a higher target price of $1.27 compared to $1.12 previously to factor in 8 to 10 per cent higher earnings forecasts for financial year (FY) 2021 to FY2023.\nIn the view of UOB Kay Hian's analysts, the firm is set to benefit from increasing Covid-19 testing in Singapore and an accelerated rate of vaccinations administered over the next few months.\n\"We opine that the sustained need for testing as well as continual screening for travellers will enable Raffles Medical to be a proxy for continued healthcare services as the Covid-19 situation evolves into an endemic,\" said the analysts.\nThey are expecting such Covid-19 related contributions to also help to offset a loss of government grant support in 2021.\nThe brokerage is also positive on Raffles Medical's recently announced partnership with a subsidiary of China Life Insurance (Group), which will allow collaborations and initiatives across a variety of areas for Raffles Medical's operations in China.\n\"A potential collaboration in healthcare financing could enable Raffles Hospital in China to be on the medical panel of China Life's medical insurance network, which we opine could aid billing intensity for more expensive medical treatments,\" noted its analysts.\nOn the other hand, KGI Securities has raised its price target for Q&M Dental Group to $0.91 from $0.54, while maintaining \"outperform\" on the dental service company.\nNoting a “surprisingly strong” maiden contribution from Q&M’s 51 per cent subsidiary, Acumen Diagnostics, for the first quarter of FY2021, KGIO Securities analyst Joel Ng said he is confident on the medium-term outlook of the unit. With Q&M's plans on expanding its network, we expect resilience in future years via gaining greater market share,\" he added.\nShares Raffles Medical was trading $0.01 or 0.9 per cent higher at $1.15 as at 11.12am on Friday, while Q&M was up by one cent or 1.5 per cent at 68.5 cents.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":57,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":188716065,"gmtCreate":1623461821857,"gmtModify":1704204227546,"author":{"id":"3581498634889397","authorId":"3581498634889397","name":"Jtws","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581498634889397","authorIdStr":"3581498634889397"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow","listText":"Wow","text":"Wow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/188716065","repostId":"2142572209","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":96,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":188711555,"gmtCreate":1623461802277,"gmtModify":1704204225587,"author":{"id":"3581498634889397","authorId":"3581498634889397","name":"Jtws","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581498634889397","authorIdStr":"3581498634889397"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Gogogo","listText":"Gogogo","text":"Gogogo","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/188711555","repostId":"2142967204","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2142967204","pubTimestamp":1623431515,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2142967204?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-06-12 01:11","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Software Provider Medallia Is Exploring a Potential Sale","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2142967204","media":"Bloomberg","summary":"(Bloomberg) -- Customer survey software provider Medallia Inc. is exploring options including a pote","content":"
(Bloomberg) -- Customer survey software provider Medallia Inc. is exploring options including a potential sale, according to people familiar with the matter.
\n
The San Francisco-based company is working with a financial adviser, said the people, who asked to not be identified because the matter isn’t public.
