This is based on a valuation using its powerful free cash flow (FCF) and FCF margins. That means NVDA stock could be worth $200 per share or 53% more. One way to play this is to short out-of-the-money puts. This valuation assumes that Nvidia will make at least 53.5% FCF margins over the next year and that analysts' revenue forecasts come true. This article will explain how this works out.NVDA stock is trading for $131.9 per share in premarket trading on Tuesday, June 18. This is after the company recently split its shares effective last week on a 10-for-1 forward basis.Strong Free Cash Flow MarginsSeeking Alpha now shows that estimates for revenue for 2025 (i.e., the year ending Jan. 2026) is now $157.38 billion. That is revised up from $154.82 billion shown in my prior articles. Moreover, last quarter the company made $14.9b in FCF on $26 billion in revenue. That means its FCF margin was an astounding 57.35% as I showed in the May 24 article. This is up from its prior quarter's 50.75% FCF margin and the trailing 12-month (TTM) FCF margin of 49.3%.So, if Nvidia makes at least 53.5% FCF margins over the next 12 months (NTM) we can derive its NTM FCF. This assumes revenue averages at least $138.69 billion (i.e., the average of Jan. 2025 estimates of $120 billion and Jan. 2026 revenue estimates of $157.38). As a result, multiplying 0.535 by $138.69b results in an NTM FCF estimate of $74.2 billion. That is 88.8% over the TTM FCF of $39.3 billion. In other words, FCF is set to explode.Target Price or NVDA Stock Based on Its FCF EstimateThis means that Nvidia could be worth significantly more using an FCF yield metric. For example, the market would likely give the stock a 1.5% dividend yield if it were to pay out 100% of that FCF.Therefore, if we divide the NTM FCF estimate of $74.2 billion by 1.5% we get a market cap estimate of almost $5 trillion. For example, $74.2b/0.015 = 4,947 billion, or $4.95 trillion. That is 53.1% over the market cap of Nvidia on Friday of $3.231 trillion. In other words, NVDA stock is worth 53% more, or about $200 per share.Analysts are raising their valuation estimates. For example, AnaChart.com, a new sell-side analyst tracking service, shows that the average of 39 analysts is now $234.45 per share. One way to play this is to sell short out-of-the-money (OTM) put options.Shorting OTM PutsFor example, look at the July 12 expiration period, 25 days from now. It shows that the $127 strike price puts, trade for $4.15 on the bid side. That represents an unusually high annual return of 47.71% for the selling side.$NVDA 20240712 127.0 PUT$ NVDA puts expiring July 12 - As of June 18This also means that the short seller has good downside protection. For example, even if the stock falls to $127 on or before July 12, the investor's breakeven point is $127-$4.35, or $122.65 per share. The bottom line is that NVDA is worth considerably more from here. But it was still 44.6 percent higher than the 782,215 visitors recorded in September 2022.Visitor arrivals tend to cool off after the peak travel periods of July and August, said Wong Xian Yang, head of research for Singapore and South-east Asia at Cushman & Wakefield. This trend has been consistent since before the pandemic, based on visitor arrival data between 2017 and 2019.Grab Holdings (NASDAQ: GRAB)Grab has hit a snag over its proposed acquisition of Trans-cab.The super-app had signed an agreement back in July to acquire all the shares of Trans-cab, Singapore’s third-largest taxi operator. The transaction, which is projected to improve Grab’s net profit, included Trans-cab’s entire fleet of 2,500 taxis and private-hire-vehicles (PHVs) along with its car rental business, maintenance workshop, and fuel pump operations. However, the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore (CCCS) has raised concerns over this acquisition.Based on industry and public feedback, CCCS felt that the purchase would increase the barriers to entry and expansion for Grab’s competitors.Grab may obtain an edge over its competitors as it could affect Trans-cab drivers’ usage of other, competing platforms. That said, investors should note that this is just the phase one review by CCCS and both parties involved may submit documentation to address the competition concerns.Once received, the commission will conduct a more in-depth phase two review and will complete this extensive examination within 120 business days.CCCS will also accept submissions that will help to “mitigate, remedy, or prevent the substantial lessening of competition” arising from this merger before making its decision.Should either Grab or Trans-cab submit documentation to assist in this goal, CCCS will then make a favourable decision to bless the union. This acquisition will have important implications for ComfortDelGro Corporation (SGX: C52), which is currently Singapore’s largest taxi company with a fleet of around 10,000 taxis.US retail salesAnother data point has emerged to demonstrate the resilience of the US economy.Retail sales came in stronger than expected for September, supported partly by sales in the automotive sector. The Commerce Department reported that sales rose 0.7% last month to hit US$704.9 billion while sales for August were revised upwards to 0.8%.These numbers demonstrate robust consumption despite interest rates hitting their highest level in 22 years.Analysts have warned, however, that it may be a matter of time before tighter credit conditions bite as these higher rates need time to flow through the economy and impact consumer demand. The 30-year mortgage rate in the US has hit 8% for the first time since 2000 with treasury yields soaring to 4.9%, their highest level since 2007, as investors expect further interest rate hikes by the US Federal Reserve.Unsurprisingly, the high mortgage rates have resulted in plummeting housing applications as demand plunges. The US central bank’s governor, Christopher Waller, said that officials can afford to hold off on interest rate increases as it closely watches incoming economic data.Officials are slated to meet two weeks later for the Federal Reserve’s next decision and will weigh various data points including jobs and retail sales along with other data to determine if inflation is slowing down.Aztech Global (SGX: 8AZ)Aztech Global has released its latest third quarter 2023 (3Q 2023) earnings. The group provides one-stop design and manufacturing services to blue-chip customers and technology companies. For the first nine months of 2023 (9M 2023), Aztech Global’s revenue rose 10.7% year on year to S$672 million.Of note, the sale of Internet of Things (IoT) devices and data communication products climbed 11.1% year on year to S$659.7 million, comprising 98.2% of the group’s total revenue.Net profit improved by 15.9% year on year to S$73.8 million.Aztech Global had a net cash position of S$215.4 million as of 30 September 2023 and generated a positive free cash flow of S$26.6 million for 9M 2023.The group’s 300,000 square-foot Pasir Gudang facility commenced production in 3Q 2023 with total production requirements fulfilled by its facilities in both Singapore and Malaysia.Aztech Global’s order book stood at S$322.7 million as of 16 October 2023 with the lead time reduced to two to three months, down from nine to 12 months during the pandemic.Orders were secured for IoT solutions across different market sectors including communication, security, health technology, automotive, and point of sales.Meanwhile, the group also launched two products for vision technology under its proprietary “Kyla” brand in August 2023.The plan is to target the local preschool education segment and to expand its market for these two products internationally by the end of 2023.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"C6L.SI":1.1,"GRAB":1,"8AZ.SI":1.1}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2656,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":232573039722560,"gmtCreate":1697809102683,"gmtModify":1697809107556,"author":{"id":"3581556348949722","authorId":"3581556348949722","name":"仙逆王林曾牛许木","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/fc78ba8079eaf21b89d9286a3857c533","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3581556348949722","idStr":"3581556348949722"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Maybe holidays are here and people have taken to the skies and seas as pent-up demand for holidays causes a surge in bookings for air travel and cruises.Singapore Airlines Limited (SGX: C6L), or SIA, is a big beneficiary of this trend.Singapore’s flagship carrier has had its fair share of ups and downs over the last three years.Back in 2020, the group was struggling as load factor plunged to an all-time low and the carrier had to raise money through a rights issue to strengthen its balance sheet. But because management preserved SIA’s core capabilities and kept its staff well-trained, it was able to react much faster than other airlines in capturing pent-up demand. The result? The airline recently reported its highest-ever net profit in its 76-year history.SIA’s share price has also soared to a five-year high of S$8.05 but has since settled back down to S$7.52, still up nearly 38% year-to-date.Given the surge, investors may be curious to know if the airline can continue to do well moving forward.Stabilising passenger numbersPassenger numbers have been steadily heading up in the past two years as countries reopened their borders. The carrier had seen passenger numbers rise steadily since vaccinated travel lanes were introduced back in August 2021.Then, SIA’s passenger numbers started to surge in April 2022 when Singapore’s government eased restrictions, crossing the one million mark that month.Since July 2022, however, growth in passenger numbers started to slow past the two million mark and as of May 2023, have hit a high of 2.87 million passengers.March 2023 still saw a 205% year on year surge from 893,000 to 2.7 million but for May 2023, the increase was just 68.4% year on year.As the months roll on and the prior year’s base becomes higher, SIA should see less and less of a strong year-on-year effect. With China’s reopening in January, this may help to boost passenger numbers for the remainder of this year but may not result in a sharp jump anymore.Financials are coming off a high baseSimilarly, the pent-up demand for air travel had resulted in a strong surge in the group’s financial numbers. The spike in numbers led to the airline breaking records in operating and net profit for its fiscal 2023 (FY2023).However, for FY2024, these financials will come off a high base and may not top the prior year’s stellar performance. With rising costs due to high inflation along with higher interest rates and elevated fuel prices, SIA needs to contend with many more headwinds than a year ago.And as more airlines ramp up their capacity and compete for tourism dollars, SIA’s first-mover advantage may also slowly fade away over time.Management misstepsCEO Goh Choon Phong also received “very strong feedback” recently over the use of paper boxes for economy class meals. He admitted that the airline “could have done better” with this introduction and also regarding the removal of appetisers. These paper boxes made the airline’s image appear “cheap” and the lack of appetisers also gave the impression that SIA’s branding was not as premium as claimed. These missteps caused criticism and the CEO was candid about not reacting fast enough and promised to do better in future.Valuation is back at the long-term averageAside from the above, it’s also instructive to look at the airline’s valuation to determine where we are at this point.Source: TIKRThe chart above shows the airline’s 12-year price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio and it has mostly hovered around 25 times P/E except for the 2020 to 2022 period when the group was incurring losses because of the pandemic.Using FY2023’s earnings per share (EPS) of S$0.351, SIA’s trailing P/E ratio stood at around 21.6 times, not far from its long-term average.Investors should note that the EPS could be elevated as it was caused by a surge in demand when borders reopened and may not be sustained in the medium term.Hence, we should expect the P/E ratio to rise should the EPS fall in FY2024, bringing SIA closer to its long-term average P/E ratio.Get Smart: Be cautious and observe the trendIt is a happy event to see SIA soaring once again. The airline battened down the hatches during the crisis and has emerged victorious in capturing pent-up demand. However, with many headwinds ahead and its valuation close to long-term averages, it seems the upside may be limited for now.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"C6L.SI":1}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1002,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":190311047368824,"gmtCreate":1687488178998,"gmtModify":1687488183198,"author":{"id":"3581556348949722","authorId":"3581556348949722","name":"仙逆王林曾牛许木","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/fc78ba8079eaf21b89d9286a3857c533","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3581556348949722","idStr":"3581556348949722"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Yes, rising costs due to high inflation along with higher interest rates and elevated fuel prices, SIA needs to contend with many more headwinds than a year ago.And as more airlines ramp up their capacity and compete for tourism dollars, SIA’s first-mover advantage may also slowly fade away over time.Management misstepsCEO Goh Choon Phong also received “very strong feedback” recently over the use of paper boxes for economy class meals. However, with many headwinds ahead and its valuation close to long-term averages, it seems the upside may be limited for now.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"C6L.SI":1}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1063,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9940724602,"gmtCreate":1678198501507,"gmtModify":1678198506637,"author":{"id":"3581556348949722","authorId":"3581556348949722","name":"仙逆王林曾牛许木","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/fc78ba8079eaf21b89d9286a3857c533","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3581556348949722","idStr":"3581556348949722"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"<a The blue-chip index logged a seventh straight day of gains in its longest winning streak since August 2020. The Nasdaq also hit all-time intraday and closing highs, and the Dow gained to set its first record high since May 7. Shares of Tesla (TSLA) fluctuated before ending slightly higher after the electric car-maker's second-quarter deliveries hit a new record but still missed analysts' estimates, based on Bloomberg consensus data.
\n
Investorsconsidered the U.S. Labor Department's June jobs report, the central economic data point that came out this week. The print showed a stronger-than-anticipated acceleration in hiring, with non-farm payrolls rising by 850,000 for a sixth straight monthly gain. The unemployment rate, however, unexpectedly ticked up slightly to 5.9%.
\n
\"This is the 'Goldilocks report' that the market was looking for today. You had a nice print here of 850,000 jobs being added, wage pressure remaining — I wouldn't call them necessarily contained — but surprising here on the downside versus consensus estimates. So this is telling us right now that economic growth is continuing to accelerate here, the jobs market is continuing to heal,\" Emily Roland, co-chief investment strategist at John Hancock Investment Management, told Yahoo Finance. \"We're making progress here in terms of what the Fed has set out to do, which is in order to get unemployment get down, they're going to let inflation run a little bit hot here. Not too hot, not too cold — this is just what the market wants.\"
\n
Heading into the report, equities have been buoyed by a slew of strong economic data earlier this week, especially on the labor market.Private payrolls rose by a better-than-expected 692,000 in June, according to ADP, andweekly initial jobless claims improved more than expectedto the lowest level since March 2020. Still, other reports underscored the still-prevalent labor supply challenges impacting companies across industries, with the scarcity capping what has otherwise been a robust economic rebound.
\n
\"It's really the labor market supply that's putting the brake on hiring right now,\" Luke Tilley, chief economist for Wilmington Trust, told Yahoo Finance. \"But we're pretty optimistic, the market is pretty optimistic, and we think that's a big part of what's driving these indexes higher.\"
\n
Friday's jobs report will also give markets a suggestion as to the timing of the Federal Reserve's next monetary policy move. For now, the Fed has kept in place both of its key crisis-era policies, or quantitative easing and a near-zero benchmark interest rate. However, an especially strong jobs report and faster-than-expected print on wage growth could justify an earlier-than-currently-telegraphed shift by the central bank.
\n
“For the first time in years, I’m actually worried about a too hot number causing some kind of volatility or pullback in stocks. That’s because the Fed has signaled they are looking to taper QE,\" Tom Essaye, Sevens Report Research founder, told Yahoo Finance. \"And if we get a really, really strong jobs number and a hot wage number, then markets are going to start to say gee, are they going to taper QE maybe before November, or are they going to taper it more intensely than we thought and in a market that's frankly been very calm and a little bit complacent, that could cause volatility.\"
\n
Still, the Fed has suggested it would not react rashly to single reports, and has given itself leeway to adjust the timeline of its monetary policy pivots as more data comes in.
\n
\"I think everyone's counting on the Fed continuing really for the foreseeable future. So I don't see any big changes there coming before 2023,\" Octavio Marenzi, CEO and founder of Opimas, told Yahoo Finance.\"And even then the Fed has hedged its bets very significantly — they've basically said we might in 2023 raise interest rates twice, but then again we might not. So I think the smart money is betting things are going to keep on going, they're going to carry on with a very accommodative monetary policy.\"
\n
Even with the recent strength for stocks, market strategists say that uncertainty about the future of the Fed’s asset purchases and the upcoming earnings season could keep stocks from making major gains in the near term.
\n
“The market is still very much concerned about the Fed’s reaction function,” said Max Gokhman, head of asset allocation at Pacific Life Fund Advisors, adding that he thought there was still a lot of slack in the labor market.
\n
4:01 p.m. ET: Stocks close higher, S&P 500 posts longest winning streak since August 2020
\n
Here's where markets closed out on Friday:
\n
\n

S&P 500 (^GSPC): +32.51 (+0.75%) to 4,352.45

\n

Dow (^DJI): +154.4 (+0.45%) to 34,787.93

\n

Nasdaq (^IXIC): +116.95 (+0.81%) to 14,639.33

\n
","source":"lsy1584348713084","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; The pandemic caused an economic effect that led to unprecedented demand for electronic devices of all sorts, most of which require semiconductors to function.Demand for goods and services was up across many industries, including computers, cars and cell phones. The semiconductor industry has been through a lot, but it’s now entering an even more challenging phase.The complex geopolitical landscape is one of the many challenges businesses face in an ever-changing world. The conflict between China and Taiwan, rising tensions over trade agreements with other countries such as America and China (to name just two), can have devastating effects on any business that relies heavily upon those supplies for their success — which includes almost every company out there.In addition, demand for semiconductor chips is extremely high. And there is no way the industry can keep up with it at this stage. Estimates vary when the companies in the sector will get ahold of the situation. However, it is certainly weighing down sentiment.The tech downturn has been a big hit on the semiconductor sector. But that has also created opportunities in the industry as prices fall, making it more attractive to enter into a stock before it takes off again.Intel Texas Instruments United Microelectronics Analog Devices Advanced Micro Devices Camtek Ambarella Semiconductor Stocks: Intel Source: Sundry Photography / Shutterstock.comIntel is a chipmaker that has been around for just over half a century. It has been leading the world in technology since its inception.Intel is among the world’s largest semiconductor manufacturers and one of the top five global PC makers. Intel is one of the best semiconductor stocks based on its exposure to the industry. Several other factors make it one of the most compelling investments available.The company’s main business is making chips for PCs/servers and selling them. The industry stagnated for several years. However, the pandemic brought it back to life. People have bought machines to work or study, which has provided better business for the company.Alongside its efforts in the semiconductor space, Intel has invested in many other businesses over the years, including Mobileye. This operating unit is expected to generate a profit for Intel this year.Overall, Intel is one of the biggest computer chip manufacturers globally. It is also one of the cheapest blue-chip stocks out there, trading at just 13.8 times forward price-to-earnings.The history of the organization, its strong earnings profile and robust outlook mean INTC stock is a great one for your portfolio. If you add a dividend yield of 3% and a cheap valuation, the stock becomes a must-have among semiconductor stocks.Texas Instruments Source: Katherine Welles / Shutterstock.comTexas Instruments is the world’s leading supplier of semiconductors. The company provides cutting-edge technology that helps keep our lives more efficient and connected than ever before, from chipsets for cell phones to televisions. It was founded in 1951 by Cecil H. Green, a professor of electrical engineering at the University of Texas at Austin.Texas Instruments recently announced its earnings and ramped up investments in new equipment. This caused a volatile reaction in the market, with traders making corresponding moves.In order to maintain its dominance in the analog semiconductor space, TXN will have lower free cash flow and dividend growth for now.Texas Instrumentsreported fourth-quarter revenueof $4.83 billion, net income of $2.14 billion, and earnings-per-share of $2.27. Revenue went up substantially, fueled by strong demand in industrial and automotive markets. Analog revenue grew by 20% and Embedded Processing grew by 6% year-over-year.The company is continuously showing its strength, with cash flow from operations reaching $8.8 billion for the year and free cash flow at 34% of revenue. This demonstrates the quality of its products in its 300 mm production batches as well its efficient manufacturing strategy, which has been paying off during these tense times.The company expects revenue of between $4.5 billion and $4.9 billion and EPS to be between $2.01 and $2.29.Apart from its strong financials, Texas Instruments is also a strong income play.In the wordsof Rich Templeton, TXN’s chairman, president, and CEO, “We returned $4.4 billion to owners in 2021 through dividends and stock repurchases. For the year, our dividend represented 62% of free cash flow, underscoring its sustainability.”United Microelectronics Source: Ascannio via shutterstockUnited Microelectronics Corporation is a global leader in the manufacture of advanced microelectronics and also provides related services such as design, contract manufacturing or verification. The company has expanded across Asia and the U.S. with many locations. It’s also a semicodunctor foundry, which means that it provides many chips for small businesses to purchase.The semiconductor super-cycle has been occurring since companies are building more chips to meet a sudden and sustained demand. Under these circumstances, the company can profit from its strong standing in the industry. Semiconductor capital expenditures are surging. UMC is positioned to be a winner because it provides basic foundry operations with other related services such as circuit design, assembly and testing.United Microelectronics Corporation is a company that made headlines last year during the worst of the semiconductor supply crunch. The company could get advance payments from its customers, mostly composed of auto manufacturers and other high-profile clients, for the service engagement with UMC’s services.The rise of UMC has given it a competitive edge as it continues to increase efficiency and leverage its investments. In addition, the company has a dividend yield of 2.9% and is trading at just 9.7 times forward P/E. All of this makes it a great pick among semiconductor stocks.Analog Devices Source: jejim / Shutterstock.comAnalog Devices has been around for over 50 years and is leading in data conversion, signal processing technology and power management systems. It provides solutions to customers worldwide for products ranging from commercial television broadcast transmitters to medical equipment monitors.Analog can maintain its market leadership because it has a diverse product line against competition and technological obsolescence. It also helps Analog companies reach a wider audience for their products and services. Connected cars and the “internet of things” are often talked about in the ongoing tech-focused discussions. Remote monitoring is also becoming a big part of workplace technology, and it can help you with security. All of these trends will act as tailwinds for Analog Devices.ADI recently announced earnings that exceeded Wall Street expectations. The company made $280 million in its first quarter, continuing to meet its expectations. Furthermore, ADI says it had 53 cents per share, while its profit after taxes was $1.94 per share. Finally, ADI announced $2.68 in revenue, which also exceeded analyst estimates.Analog Devices is predicting earnings will be betweem $1.97 to $2.27 per-share for this quarter with revenue ranging from $2.7 billion to just under $3 billion.ADI has paid a sustainable dividend for 18 years, which keeps its stock price stable. The cash flow mostly funds dividends that hold the stock price high.Advanced Micro Devices Source: Ascannio/ShutterstockAdvanced Micro Devices is a major global semiconductor company that specializes in manufacturing. It also offers a range of software, including x86-64 compatible 64-bit computing and graphics technologies that power AMD’s Ryzen Threadripper processors.AMD beat its earnings estimates and guidance in Q4 and has a strong outlook for 2022. In 2021, AMD saw its sales increase by 68% and its gross margin increase by over three percentage points from last year. AMD’s stock has been rising lately, and so has its processor sales.AMD recently released new chips with a significant increase in performance, allowing them to challenge Intel as the No. 1 computer chip supplier. The best thing you can do is to invest in a company with a diversified business model. Some of this appeal comes from niche players.Still, some want a more specific focus as Ambarella does — its chips are designed for low power and high definition video compression applications, which it markets under an established brand name.Think of the numerous ways that Ambarella’s technology is used in today’s world. Products such as Alphabet’s(NASDAQ:GOOG, NASDAQ:GOOGL) Google Nest and GoPro(NASDAQ:GPRO) cameras have successfully implemented this chip into their respective products, showing us just how quickly things can change if we let them.Due to threats of interest rate hikes, growth stocks are not doing so well. But that doesn’t mean the time is right to bail on this one. Ambarella is a company that specializes in creating semiconductor solutions for the automotive industry. They make up the core of the car’s “brain” and provide software to help cars learn and react to their environment.Considering the breadth of its services and use cases, this is a stock that you need to have in your portfolio.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"INTC":0.9,"CAMT":0.9,"AMBA":0.9,"ADI":0.9,"TXN":0.9,"UMC":0.9,"AMD":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":586,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"lives":[]}
