of new shares, plus a potential over-allotment of 1% (for underwriters). The IPO, which plans to raise around 218 billion rupees ($3 billion), could be India's largest ever.</p><p>According to people familiar with the matter, Paytm will hire<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/JPM\">JPMorgan Chase</a>、<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/MS\">Morgan Stanley</a>、<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/GS\">Goldman Sachs</a>And<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/IBN\">Industrial Credit Investment Bank of India</a>As its underwriter.</p><p>Paytm, formally known as One97 Communications, has a target valuation of between $25 billion and $30 billion for the offering. In its last funding round in 2019, Paytm was valued at $16 billion.</p><p>The IPO will include both new and existing shares, with India stipulating a 10% share list within two years and a 25% share list within five years.</p><p>Shareholders include<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/BRK.A\">Berkshire</a>Hathaway Inc., SoftBank Group and<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/06688\">Ant Group</a>。</p><p>Among them, Ant Group, as the largest shareholder, holds nearly 30% of the company's shares.<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/BABA\">Alibaba</a>And Ant Group hold a total of 37% of Paytm's shares.</p><p>If it passes the review of the Securities and Exchange Commission of India, Ant Group will reduce its stake by approximately 5% before and during the IPO process and comply with the shareholding standard of less than 25%.</p><p>Paytm, which now has about 150 million users and 1.4 billion transactions per month, has expanded beyond digital payments to banking, credit cards and financial services, among other areas.</p><p>But it also faces the challenges from<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/GOOG\">Google</a>Payment,<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/AMZN\">Amazon</a>Payment and<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/WMT\">Walmart</a>Fierce competition from rivals such as its PhonePe.</p><p>Neil Shah, an analyst at tech research firm Counterpoint, said:</p><p>Five years ago, Paytm almost dominated India, but it is now on the decline.
