This $5 billion biotech is the first and only company to have two internally discovered and developed medicines that received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval within a decade of its founding.</p>\n<p><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/0cba561a33b8fd037c17212c807d1ccb\" tg-width=\"700\" tg-height=\"438\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\"></p>\n<p>Image source: Getty Images.</p>\n<p>Its first oncology drug, Gavreto, is a once-a-day oral medication for non-small cell lung cancer, as well as certain types of thyroid cancer with a mutation in a specific gene called RET. Altogether, these markets add up to about 6,000 patients annually in the U.S.</p>\n<p>At a cost of $231,000 per patient per year, that's a $1.3 billion addressable market for which Blueprint and partner <b>Roche</b> will split costs and profits 50-50 in the U.S. While Gavreto competes with <b>Eli Lilly</b>'s&nbsp;Retevmo in this market, the Roche-Blueprint product currently has a 40% share of the RET-inhibitor space, despite being the second <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/AONE.U\">one</a> to the party.</p>\n<p>The precision-medicine company also has two candidates entering phase 1 studies for non-small cell lung cancer with mutations within a specific gene called EGFR. <b>AstraZeneca</b>'s Tagrisso, which has a similar target, hauled in a whopping $4.3 billion-plus in FY 2020.</p>\n<p>While there is some tough competition out there, Blueprint has shown it can quickly bring drugs to market. With plenty of financial support and a large seasoned sales force already in place, Pfizer could rapidly capitalize on a buyout of this $5 billion business. And we haven't even mentioned Blueprint's other approved drug, which is for a rare disease called mastocytosis&nbsp;and has an addressable market in the U.S. of at least $800 million.</p>\n<h3>The safe rare-disease tuck-in</h3>\n<p>When<b> Aurinia Pharmaceuticals</b>' (NASDAQ:AUPH) Lupkynis was approved in January, it became the first oral therapy approved for lupus nephritis that doesn't require monitoring of drug levels. Lupus nephritis is an autoimmune disorder that's especially harsh on the kidneys, with approximately 10% to 30% of patients experiencing kidney failure within 15 years, despite current therapies.</p>\n<p>This disease affects about 80,000 to 100,000 people in the U.S., but fortunately, when combined with current standards of care, Aurinia's drug is more likely&nbsp;to improve kidney function. In fact, 40.8% of patients see improvements in renal function after 52 treatments with Lupkynis, versus 22.5% receiving standard-of-care treatment alone.</p>\n<p>The autoimmune-focused biotech expects an average annualized net revenue per patient of approximately $65,000. With at least 65,000 potential patients in the U.S., that's a total addressable market of more than $4 billion.</p>\n<p>Even better, this doesn't even get into the potential for Lupkynis to treat other autoimmune diseases. Pfizer already has multiple compounds aimed at various autoimmune conditions, and this $1.8 billion company seems like an obvious tuck-in acquisition for the pharma giant. It has an approved drug with a blockbuster addressable market, and that drug may have optionality for other autoimmune conditions as well (though it's not actively being studied in other diseases at the moment).</p>\n<h3>The next frontier in COVID treatment</h3>\n<p>With COVID-19 cases rising worldwide, there's a pressing need for an efficacious oral therapy that can be administered not only to hospitalized patients but also to those well enough to be given a prescription as outpatients. Pharma <b>Atea Pharmaceuticals</b> (NASDAQ:AVIR)&nbsp;reported interim phase 2 results at the end of June showing that its lead COVID-19 oral treatment, AT-527, could rapidly reduce the viral load in COVID-19 patients.</p>\n<p>After two days of treatment, patients experienced an 80% greater viral-load reduction compared to placebo -- and this difference was maintained eight days after the start of treatment. Atea partnered with Roche in October 2020 on AT-527, and the drug is now in an ongoing worldwide phase 3 trial with results due in the second half of 2021. After its raging success with <b>BioNTech </b>on their coronavirus vaccine, Pfizer may be willing to double down on partnerships in the COVID-19 space -- especially with Bourla's company raising its 2021 sales forecast of its partnered COVID-19 vaccine to $33.5 billion for the year.</p>\n<p>With Atea valued at just $2.1 billion yet having megablockbuster potential, there's a lot of upside for Pfizer. An Atea buyout also would provide a safety net should Pfizer's own oral combination therapy for COVID, which just entered phase 2/3 trials, fizzle out.</p>\n<p>If I were Albert Bourla, which would I choose? On July 22, Pfizer announced a global collaboration with Arvinas, which has a breast cancer treatment in phase 2 trials. The deal cost Pfizer $650 million upfront, as well as a $350 million equity investment and up to $1.4 billion in milestone payments. Given this, the behemoth may not be looking for another oncology company right away. And despite impressive COVID-19 data from Atea, Pfizer has its own oral coronavirus treatment early in progress, though not quite as far along in clinical trials.</p>\n<p>That leaves Aurinia, which I believe to be the safest buy on the list for pharmaceutical investors -- Pfizer included. Dividing $13.347 billion in Q1 FCF by revenue of $55.314 billion shows that Q1 FCF margins were just 24.1%.</p>\n<p>So, going forward let’s estimate that FCF will be 26.5% of its forecast revenue. For example,<i>Seeking Alpha</i>shows that analystsproject 2021 revenue of $250.29 billion. That implies its 2021 FCF will be $66.3 billion this year. But this is likely now already implied or discounted in the GOOG stock price.</p>\n<p>We should probably use 2022 estimates since the market will soon start valuing GOOG stock on its 2002 numbers. Seeking Alpha indicates $286.36 billion for 2022. Applying the 26.5% FCF margin to this estimate yields an FCF estimate of $75.89 billion. That is substantially higher than the estimates for 2021 FCF. We can now use this to value GOOG stock.</p>\n<p><b>What GOOG Stock Is Now Worth</b></p>\n<p>One way to value GOOG stock is to use its historical FCF yield and apply it to our future FCF estimate. For example, in the trailing 12 months (TTM) to June 30, Alphabet produced $58.536 billion in FCF. This can be seen on<i>Seeking Alpha’s</i>historical FCF pageby subtracting its TTM capex from its TTM cash flow from operations. Here is how we will use this.</p>\n<p>First, we calculate its historical TTM FCF yield. For example, the company now has a market capitalization of $1.826 trillion, according to<i>Yahoo! Finance</i>, which usually has the best calculations. Therefore, if we divide its TTM FCF of $58.536 by its $1,826 billion market cap, the FCF yield works out to 3.2%.</p>\n<p>Next, we can divide our forecast of $75.89 billion in 2022 FCF by its TTM FCF yield of 3.2%. That derives a new target market value of $2.37 trillion. In other words, GOOG stock has a target market cap that is 29.88% higher than today’s price. Therefore, using yesterday’s closing price of $2,730.81, its target price is $3,546 per share.</p>\n<p><b>What To Do With GOOG Stock</b></p>\n<p>In other words, starting with the company’s much higher FCF margins and projecting these out against 2022 revenue, GOOG stock should rise at least 30% sometime over the next year. That assumes a fairly high 3.2% FCF yield. It is very possible that the yield could rise, which would lower the target price.</p>\n<p>For example, consider this. But Apple’s strong results in the quarter suggest that the trend may persist as more economies&nbsp;open up.</p><p>Or, as Apple CEO Tim Cook said in a statement: “This quarter reflects both the enduring ways our products have helped our users meet this&nbsp;moment in their own lives, as well as the optimism consumers seem to feel about better days&nbsp;ahead for all of us.”</p><p>Mac sales were up 70%, and Cook said that the result was “fueled by” the company’s introduction of its Mac&nbsp;laptops&nbsp;that used its own M1 chips&nbsp;for longer battery life, instead of processors sold by&nbsp;Intel.&nbsp;iPad sales were up&nbsp;nearly 79% year-over-year.</p><p>Neither of those&nbsp;results&nbsp;include iPad Pro or iMac models the company announced in March, which are expected to drive additional demand.</p><p>“We’re seeing strong first-time buyers on the Mac&nbsp;…&nbsp;it continues to run just south of 50%,” Cook told CNBC’s Josh Lipton. “And, in China, it’s even higher than that&nbsp;…&nbsp;it’s more around two-thirds. And that speaks to people preferring to work on the Mac.”</p><p>Apple’s iPhone also reported strong results this quarter, quelling fears that the current annual cycle could slow down. Last year, Apple released iPhones with a new exterior design and 5G support, which many investors believed could prompt a major upgrade cycle, which this quarter’s results indicate.</p><p>In greater China, which includes the mainland, Hong Kong, and Taiwan,&nbsp;Apple’s revenue increased over&nbsp;87% year-over-year to $17.73 billion, although the comparison is to a quarter last year in which China was largely shut down in the early days of the pandemic.&nbsp;Every other geographical category, including the Americas and Europe, were also up on an annual basis.</p><p><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/37a8b45c92174e3c9ab224d9a85f5e2d\" tg-width=\"1910\" tg-height=\"1114\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer\"></p><p>Apple’s&nbsp;high-margin&nbsp;services business, including iCloud, App Store, and subscriptions like Apple Music, also showed 26.7% growth.</p><p>One metric that Apple uses to show the growth in services is the number of subscriptions it has, which not only include its own subscriptions like Apple One, but also subscriptions through its App Store.</p><p>“We now have over 660 million paid subscriptions across the services on the platform, and that’s up 40 million from the previous quarter, which is an acceleration from 35 million,” Cook told CNBC.</p><p>However, Apple’s App Store has been challenged by lawmakers and companies that say it costs too much and has too much power. A closely-watched trial with Fortnite maker Epic Games over App Store policies kicks off next week.</p><p>“The App Store has been an economic miracle. Last year, the estimates are that there was over a half a trillion dollars of economic activity because of the store. And, so, this has been just an economic gamechanger for not only the United States, but several countries around the world. And, we’re going to go in and tell our story. And we’ll see where it goes. But, we’re confident,” Cook told CNBC.</p><p>Apple’s gross margin was also unusually elevated for the company.
