The comparison of Ford to Nio both are not at the same level as their businesses are not altogether the same albeit both are automakers. Nonetheless, Nio is up and coming as is xpeng and other EV makers, thus making competition stiffer. I will think that Nio's success lies in convincing markets in the west to look beyond the China badge. Otherwise, conventional wisdom rationale will still favour traditional automakers, plainly attributed by past success records.

Tesla's has a headstart in EV and is still Ahead of the curve. It's continuing to stay ahead as the technology matures remains questionable. Then again, Tesla is not just about EV. It has other bizes making it different compared to other legacy automakers.
Speculative is rightly so as crypto currency is akin to forex in digital forms. Fundamentally, unless there are more uses, crypto should remain dormant but it is not. Best bet is still on btc and ETH
