The firm purportedly sold over $30 million worth of two types of tokens that the SEC deemed to be securities that should have been registered as such.\nThe SEC notes that Blockchain Credit Partners founders Gregory Keough and Derek Acree will have to pay fines of $125,000 while the company itself also agreed to pay $12.8 million in disgorgement. The settlement does not indicate an admition or denial the accusations.\nNew Game, Old Rules?\nSEC Enforcement Director Gurbir Grewal explained that \"full and honest disclosure remains the cornerstone of our securities laws — no matter what technologies are used to offer and sell those securities.\" This comment makes it very clear that slapping the DeFi label on a project and hoping to avoid regulation this way works no better than calling it a \"utility token\" prevented falling under the SEC's scrutiny during 2017's initial coin offering craze.\nThe SEC is trying to send the clear rule that the new kind of financial organizations that operate on blockchains have to still play by the old rules that govern traditional finance. At the same time, market onlookers are not sure if the regulator is actually right.\nIn a way, it is a tour de force where the regulator wins every time it has a way to take enforcement action, but these new organizations potentially have a very real way to make enforcement impossible — or at the very least impractical. The only protection against enforcement by the SEC and other regulators is decentralization and the only reason why the SEC was able to act in this case is that a centralized organization such as Blockchain Credit Partners exists.\nWhat's Next:If no company exists and all that there is to a DeFi protocol is a set of smart contracts deployed on a blockchain by a group of anonymous developers scattered around the world there is very little that the SEC can do short of attacking the blockchain itself. This is where the decentralization of the underlying blockchain comes into play: will the regulators for instance be able to force Ethereum's (CRYPTO: ETH) core development team to write an update stopping such a project?\nIf the regulators would actually be able to force the blockchain's developers to write such an update, would node operators and miners or stakers adopt this software or would they refuse to? Such situations will be the real test of the decentralization and reliability of any blockchain that many are waiting to happen. Regulators are seeing power slipping away between their fingers like sand, and they are going to try to grab it.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"COIN":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":693,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9989962389,"gmtCreate":1665887804442,"gmtModify":1676537675717,"author":{"id":"3583575708819843","authorId":"3583575708819843","name":"mrzhuge","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/5334845cffee5a372a7e25268d3684de","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3583575708819843","idStr":"3583575708819843"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok ","listText":"Ok ","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":8,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9989962389","repostId":"2275698961","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2275698961","kind":"highlight","pubTimestamp":1665804613,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2275698961?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-10-15 11:30","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Alibaba Q3: Time To Consider An Option Play","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2275698961","media":"Seeking Alpha","summary":"SummaryAlibaba stock prices continue to be directed by short-term events and disjointed from busines","content":"

Summary

Alibaba stock prices continue to be directed by short-term events and disjointed from business fundamentals.

Such disconnection creates both challenges and opportunities for value-oriented investors.

One such opportunity involves an observation that I’ve made about its implied volatility being mispriced.

As such, you can consider an option play here either to hedge your existing positions or to open a new position.

The upcoming earnings report in November for its September quarter (CY22 Q3) could amplify the mispricing based on its recent historical pattern.

remco86

Thesis

Alibaba's (NYSE:BABA) stock price continues to be directed by short-term events and disjointed from business fundamentals. While its financial performances are partly to blame (although quite healthy in my view), its stock price movements have been largely dominated by news events, such as the uncertainty in the Chinese regulatory environment, the lingering COVID-19 concerns, and the China-U.S. tension. To cite a few recent examples (shown in the chart below),

On May 26, after reporting its March quarter results, its stock price climbed 14.8% in one day. And shortly afterward, on June 8, the Chinese government announced the approval of a new round of video game licenses, and its stock prices increased by another 14.7%.

Then in July, it was fined by antitrust regulators for the improper reporting of previous merger deals. In particular, on July 11, its stock declined by 9.2% even though the fine amounted to only $373k.

On July 29, it was added back to the U.S. SEC's watchlist of Chinese companies that might be delisted. The news triggered an 11% decline in its stock price to close at $89 from $100 the day before.

Then finally on August 4, 2022, when it reported its June Quarter earnings, the stock prices fluctuated between a low of $95 and a high of $103 in a single day, translating into an 8.4% daily fluctuation.

I am citing all these detailed events and price movements to give you a concrete feeling of its price volatility so that you can see the main thesis of this article: the mispricing of its implied volatility ("IV") in the options market.

Author based on Yahoo! data

The mispricing probably is best illustrated by comparison against its U.S. counterpart: Amazon (AMZN). The price movements of AMZN in the past 6 months are shown in the bottom panel of the above chart. In contrast to BABA's frequent ~10% DAILY price volatilities, AMZN stock price has been largely range-bound between $140 and $105, translating into a fluctuation of around 16% around a mean price of $122.5 over the past few MONTHS. Yet, as you will see in a later section, the options market currently assigns an IV of about 61% for BABA for its Dec 16, 2022, option. And the IV it assigns for AMZN is about the same (a bit below 60%), accentuating the IV mispricing.

Looking forward, BABA is expected to report earnings on 11/17/2022 according to Nasdaq's schedule. Considering the IV mispricing, an option with expiry after that (say Dec 16, 2022) could either help to hedge your existing positions or to open a new position. Directly holding the shares can help you to benefit from its compressed valuation (as to be detailed in the next section immediately below). But an option play can help you to benefit from the compression in its valuation AND also the IV mispricing.

Business outlook and growth potential

Admittedly, BABA's earning results have been a bit choppy lately. However, in its upcoming earnings report for the September 2022 quarter, I expected a number of promising growth avenues. These catalysts should support healthy earnings growth, especially in the near- to mid-term, say in the 2025-2027 timeframe. First, I expect the Chinese economy to recover considerably once COVID-19 concerns clear up. Second, BABA is still very successful at attracting new annual active customers from the vast population of China, especially from the less developed areas. Notably, Tmall and Taobao continue to perform well. Third, on the international stage, platforms such as Lazada and AliExpress logged solid double-digit order growth rates in fiscal 2021, and I foresee such growth to continue or even accelerate in the next few years. Finally, on top of all these, its cloud segment continues to capture market share within the burgeoning global cloud niche. All told, consensus estimates project an 11.5% EPS expansion in the next five years, as you can see from the first chart below. And I tend to agree with such a projection.

Author based on Seeking Alpha data

In the meantime, its financial position is strong. The balance sheet is in good condition, as seen in the next chart below, providing the liquidity and financial flexibility to fuel its continued expansion. Alibaba ended the last quarter with more than $69 billion in cash as seen. In addition, merely 13.4% of the capital structure is comprised of long-term debt (compared to AMZN's 45.4%), suggesting plenty of flexibility to support growth initiatives.

Although, note that the table below made a mistake on its cash per share (probably due to confusion about its share count vs its ADR counts). With $69 billion of cash and approximately 2.6 billion ADR outstanding, the total cash per share should be about $26.5. At its current stock price of $75 as of this writing, more than 1/3 of its stock price (35.4% to be exact) is just cash.

Author based on Seeking Alpha data

Volatility mispricing and option play

As mentioned above, holding the shares directly is a bet on its compressed valuation and growth potential. And an option play can provide a couple of additional advantages, as detailed in my other articles. To recap,

First, compared to the buy-and-hold strategy, an option can limit your exposure in terms of the total dollar amount.

Second, it can take advantage of both the valuation mispricing AND also volatility mispricing (the buy-and-hold strategy only benefit from the former).

Third, it provides a definitive expiration date.

As an example, as of this writing, a BABA call option with a $75 strike price (i.e., near the money) that expires on 12/16/2022 sells at about $7.8 as you can see from the first chart below provided by OIC. So $780 would provide exposure to 100 shares, versus $7.5k if you directly own the shares.

You can also see the implied volatility is only 60.8%. Again, to me, this is an underestimate. As you can see from the second chart below, its IV has ranged from about 50% to about 100% in the past 6 months. And the current IV of 60% is close to the floor of this range. Yet, as argued earlier, recent events and price movements suggest no muting in its actual volatility. Also, as you can see from the third chart below, AMZN's current IV is close to 60% too (about 56%). However, as aforementioned, the DAILY price actions in BABA shares are nearly on the same magnitude as AMZN's monthly price fluctuations.

oic.ivolatility.com

BABA historical and implied volatility provided by IVolatility.com

AMZN historical and implied volatility provided by IVolatility.com

Baba risks and final thoughts

Since an option play, in a sense, is a way to limit risks already, I won't detail the specific risks surrounding BABA shares. Other SA authors have elaborated on the risks eloquently already anyway. Here, let me just repeat the risks inherent in writing options:

Writing options can limit risks in terms of the absolute dollar amount. But it is riskier in relative terms. You can lose 100% and there is actually a good chance of that.

To conclude, the main thesis here is built on an observation that I've made about BABA's implied volatility being mispriced. Yes, it is definitely attractive to own the shares directly in my mind (which I do) under current conditions. The stock is priced at single-digit FWD PE with double-digit growth rates. And it has about $26.5 of cash per ADR on its ledger, more than 1/3 of its stock current price. But an option play could bring an additional catalyst to the table. The upcoming earnings report in November could amplify the mispricing, judging by the recent historical pattern of its price movements around earnings reports.

This article is written by Sensor Unlimited for reference only. The blue-chip index logged a seventh straight day of gains in its longest winning streak since August 2020. The Nasdaq also hit all-time intraday and closing highs, and the Dow gained to set its first record high since May 7. Shares of Tesla (TSLA) fluctuated before ending slightly higher after the electric car-maker's second-quarter deliveries hit a new record but still missed analysts' estimates, based on Bloomberg consensus data.
\n
Investorsconsidered the U.S. Labor Department's June jobs report, the central economic data point that came out this week. The print showed a stronger-than-anticipated acceleration in hiring, with non-farm payrolls rising by 850,000 for a sixth straight monthly gain. The unemployment rate, however, unexpectedly ticked up slightly to 5.9%.
\n
\"This is the 'Goldilocks report' that the market was looking for today. You had a nice print here of 850,000 jobs being added, wage pressure remaining — I wouldn't call them necessarily contained — but surprising here on the downside versus consensus estimates. So this is telling us right now that economic growth is continuing to accelerate here, the jobs market is continuing to heal,\" Emily Roland, co-chief investment strategist at John Hancock Investment Management, told Yahoo Finance. \"We're making progress here in terms of what the Fed has set out to do, which is in order to get unemployment get down, they're going to let inflation run a little bit hot here. Not too hot, not too cold — this is just what the market wants.\"
\n
Heading into the report, equities have been buoyed by a slew of strong economic data earlier this week, especially on the labor market.Private payrolls rose by a better-than-expected 692,000 in June, according to ADP, andweekly initial jobless claims improved more than expectedto the lowest level since March 2020. Still, other reports underscored the still-prevalent labor supply challenges impacting companies across industries, with the scarcity capping what has otherwise been a robust economic rebound.
\n
\"It's really the labor market supply that's putting the brake on hiring right now,\" Luke Tilley, chief economist for Wilmington Trust, told Yahoo Finance. \"But we're pretty optimistic, the market is pretty optimistic, and we think that's a big part of what's driving these indexes higher.\"
\n
Friday's jobs report will also give markets a suggestion as to the timing of the Federal Reserve's next monetary policy move. For now, the Fed has kept in place both of its key crisis-era policies, or quantitative easing and a near-zero benchmark interest rate. However, an especially strong jobs report and faster-than-expected print on wage growth could justify an earlier-than-currently-telegraphed shift by the central bank.
\n
“For the first time in years, I’m actually worried about a too hot number causing some kind of volatility or pullback in stocks. That’s because the Fed has signaled they are looking to taper QE,\" Tom Essaye, Sevens Report Research founder, told Yahoo Finance. \"And if we get a really, really strong jobs number and a hot wage number, then markets are going to start to say gee, are they going to taper QE maybe before November, or are they going to taper it more intensely than we thought and in a market that's frankly been very calm and a little bit complacent, that could cause volatility.\"
\n
Still, the Fed has suggested it would not react rashly to single reports, and has given itself leeway to adjust the timeline of its monetary policy pivots as more data comes in.
\n
\"I think everyone's counting on the Fed continuing really for the foreseeable future. So I don't see any big changes there coming before 2023,\" Octavio Marenzi, CEO and founder of Opimas, told Yahoo Finance.\"And even then the Fed has hedged its bets very significantly — they've basically said we might in 2023 raise interest rates twice, but then again we might not. So I think the smart money is betting things are going to keep on going, they're going to carry on with a very accommodative monetary policy.\"
\n
Even with the recent strength for stocks, market strategists say that uncertainty about the future of the Fed’s asset purchases and the upcoming earnings season could keep stocks from making major gains in the near term.
\n
“The market is still very much concerned about the Fed’s reaction function,” said Max Gokhman, head of asset allocation at Pacific Life Fund Advisors, adding that he thought there was still a lot of slack in the labor market.
\n
4:01 p.m. ET: Stocks close higher, S&P 500 posts longest winning streak since August 2020
\n
Here's where markets closed out on Friday:
\n
\n

S&P 500 (^GSPC): +32.51 (+0.75%) to 4,352.45

\n

Dow (^DJI): +154.4 (+0.45%) to 34,787.93

\n

Nasdaq (^IXIC): +116.95 (+0.81%) to 14,639.33

\n
","source":"lsy1584348713084","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; So I don't see any big changes there coming before 2023,\" Octavio Marenzi, CEO and founder of Opimas, told Yahoo Finance.\"And even then the Fed has hedged its bets very significantly — they've basically said we might in 2023 raise interest rates twice, but then again we might not. So I think the smart money is betting things are going to keep on going, they're going to carry on with a very accommodative monetary policy.\"\nEven with the recent strength for stocks, market strategists say that uncertainty about the future of the Fed’s asset purchases and the upcoming earnings season could keep stocks from making major gains in the near term.\n“The market is still very much concerned about the Fed’s reaction function,” said Max Gokhman, head of asset allocation at Pacific Life Fund Advisors, adding that he thought there was still a lot of slack in the labor market.\n4:01 p.m. ET: Stocks close higher, S&P 500 posts longest winning streak since August 2020\nHere's where markets closed out on Friday:\n\nS&P 500 (^GSPC): +32.51 (+0.75%) to 4,352.45\nDow (^DJI): +154.4 (+0.45%) to 34,787.93\nNasdaq (^IXIC): +116.95 (+0.81%) to 14,639.33","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"SPY":0.9,".SPX":0.9,".DJI":0.9,".IXIC":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":359,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":118136892,"gmtCreate":1622722627116,"gmtModify":1704189723400,"author":{"id":"3583575708819843","authorId":"3583575708819843","name":"mrzhuge","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/5334845cffee5a372a7e25268d3684de","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3583575708819843","idStr":"3583575708819843"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Cool","listText":"Cool","text":"Cool","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":3,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/118136892","repostId":"2140542610","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2140542610","kind":"live","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1622718376,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2140542610?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-06-03 19:06","market":"us","language":"en","title":"AMC Entertainment Holdings Files To Sell Up To 11.55Mln Shares","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2140542610","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"AMC tumbles 10% after new stock sale announcement, wipes out 20% premarket rally.AMC Entertainment s","content":"
AMC tumbles 10% after new stock sale announcement, wipes out 20% premarket rally.

AMC Entertainment shares erased a 20% rally and plunged double digits in premarket trading on Thursday following a stock sale announcement.

The meme stock last traded down 10% after soaring more than 20% earlier Thursday before markets opened.

AMC said in a regulatory filing that it may offer and sell from time to time up to an aggregate of 11.55 million shares of its Class A common stock.

The move comes after AMC soared 95% in the regular trading session Wednesday to close at an all-time high of $62.55. One stock I think can grow 10 times over the next 10 years is Airbnb (NASDAQ:ABNB).

Why Airbnb is different

The reason Airbnb has caused such a stir is because it shakes up a traditional way to travel. Previously, trying to find a vacation rental required long searches, and there were limited reviews and no industry standards to go off of. Airbnb changed all that with its platform, standards, and reviews. It's not the only game in its industry, but it's the biggest. It has more than 400,000 hosts signed into its platform, and every new host or property offers more for customers. Because it's so simple for the company to add properties, it has enormous potential for growth, in both the short and long term.

Some catalysts for growth

Airbnb's model is conducive to growth, but there are many catalysts beyond that. One of them is the shift toward more local stays generated by the pandemic. When people couldn't travel far, they traveled close. Does that mean it will change when travel completely resumes? I don't think so. Certainly, international travel will pick up when global restrictions end. But now that more people have been exposed to trip ideas they may not have thought about previously, I think these will remain viable options going forward. However, Airbnb will benefit either way. As travel resumes, more people now have Airbnb on their radar, wherever they choose to stay.

Another catalyst is the trend toward longer stays. Stays of 28 days or more exploded during the pandemic, and the work-from-home trend will continue to drive this segment. In the company's third-quarter shareholder letter, the company said, "This newfound flexibility is blurring the lines between traveling and living." Of any travel company, Airbnb is qualified to run with this. This was Airbnb's fastest-growing category in the second and third quarters in 2021, and will probably be when it reports fourth-quarter earnings as well. It accounted for 20% of nights booked in the third quarter, and it demonstrates that Airbnb has become more than a travel company -- it's a hybrid travel and living company, and management is vigorously tapping into this model as a way to move forward. It recently announced that CEO Brian Chesky will be living in Airbnb rentals for a year to gain knowledge about the experience, and I wouldn't be surprised if the company completely shifts gears to market itself in this way; I'd be more surprised if it doesn't. This represents a whole new world of opportunities on top of its already ripe ones from its current model.

More reasons to be believe in the stock

Another detail in airbnb's favor is that it became profitable last year. That's always a worry for growth companies, which invest in growth and often don't demonstrate profits until they're highly scaled. Airbnb has passed that point, posting $834 million in net income in the third quarter, and management said it expects greater margin expansion in the fourth quarter than the third.

Airbnb stock hasn't performed well over the past year, falling almost 20%. However, investors can look at it as an opportunity to buy shares on the dip. Even at this price, shares trade at a steep 103 times forward one-year earnings. The House may then take up the measure.
\n
The bill includes $550 billion in new spending, on top of existing programs. Highlights include $73 billion for clean-energy transmission, $110 billion for roads and bridges, and $7.5 billion for electric-vehicle charging stations. Money would also be doled out for airports, water projects, broadband internet, and initiatives to combat climate-change.
\n
Passage of a bill still faces steep political hurdles.
\n
While Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky) has indicated his support, the bill could be held up by Democract demands in the House to pass a $3.5 trillion budget reconciliation bill first. That won’t be easy, especially if Democrats hope to enlist Republican Senators for $1.2 trillion in infrastructure, conditioned on passing a reconciliation bill first.
\n
Still, if a bill does keep moving forward, Wall Street analysts are likely to raise revenue estimates for 2022 and beyond, anticipating a steady trickle of money from federal, state, and local governments as projects win approval.
\n
So how to play it? Four companies that stand to benefit are Jacobs Engineering Group(ticker: J),Hubbell(HUBB),Insteel Industries(IIIN), and Union Pacific(UNP), according to Andrew Little, research analyst at exchange-traded-fund sponsor Global X.
\n
Jacobs is a construction company and the lead engineer on several major projects now underway, including a $1.2 billion reconstruction of the I-270 Corridor in Denver, he notes. Jacobs is also involved in renewable-energy projects and builds data centers.
\n
Hubbell manufactures electrical equipment for industrial clients, including products to improve building energy efficiency and power transmission, helping create “smart grids.”
\n
Insteel manufactures steel wiring used in construction projects and water utilities, including reinforcement of piping and irrigation projects.
\n
Union Pacific runs one of the largest freight-rail networks in the U.S., operating in 23 western states, and would benefit from increased volume of raw materials and industrial goods.
\n
Investors may be paying a steep premium for these stocks, though.
\n
Jacobs is up 26% this year and trades at 19 times next-12-month earnings, a 19% premium to its five-year average price/earnings multiple. If there’s upside, however, it could be in infrastructure—Jacobs’ “people and places” business generates $7 billion in annual revenue through modernizing public and private projects, partly to meet higher environmental standards, the company said on a recent earnings call.
\n
Hubbell is up 27% this year and goes for 21 times earnings, against a five-year P/E average of 18. The company would benefit from increased spending on renewable-energy infrastructure, including solar and wind components.
\n
Insteel has gained 75% this year, though it still trades at a modest 13 times earnings. The company is facing supply constraints and logistics issues, though an infrastructure bill would be a benefit, Insteel recently told analysts.
\n
Union Pacific stock is only up 5% this year and trades at 20 times earnings, above its five year P/E average of 19.
\n
Freight volume has been depressed due to supply-chain disruptions, a shortage of semiconductors, and backlogs of goods waiting to be unloaded at U.S. ports.
\n
But the railroad is expecting raw materials volume to remain robust as the economy gains momentum. And Union hiked its annual dividend in May by 10% to $1.07 a share, giving it a 2% annualized yield.
\n
Other infrastructure favorites include aggregates companies Vulcan Materials(VMC) and Martin Marietta Materials(MLM), and industrial-machinery giants Deere(DE) and Caterpillar(CAT). The House may then take up the measure.\nThe bill includes $550 billion in new spending, on top of existing programs. Highlights include $73 billion for clean-energy transmission, $110 billion for roads and bridges, and $7.5 billion for electric-vehicle charging stations. Money would also be doled out for airports, water projects, broadband internet, and initiatives to combat climate-change.\nPassage of a bill still faces steep political hurdles.\nWhile Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky) has indicated his support, the bill could be held up by Democract demands in the House to pass a $3.5 trillion budget reconciliation bill first. That won’t be easy, especially if Democrats hope to enlist Republican Senators for $1.2 trillion in infrastructure, conditioned on passing a reconciliation bill first.\nStill, if a bill does keep moving forward, Wall Street analysts are likely to raise revenue estimates for 2022 and beyond, anticipating a steady trickle of money from federal, state, and local governments as projects win approval.\nSo how to play it? Four companies that stand to benefit are Jacobs Engineering Group(ticker: J),Hubbell(HUBB),Insteel Industries(IIIN), and Union Pacific(UNP), according to Andrew Little, research analyst at exchange-traded-fund sponsor Global X.\nJacobs is a construction company and the lead engineer on several major projects now underway, including a $1.2 billion reconstruction of the I-270 Corridor in Denver, he notes. Jacobs is also involved in renewable-energy projects and builds data centers.\nHubbell manufactures electrical equipment for industrial clients, including products to improve building energy efficiency and power transmission, helping create “smart grids.”\nInsteel manufactures steel wiring used in construction projects and water utilities, including reinforcement of piping and irrigation projects.\nUnion Pacific runs one of the largest freight-rail networks in the U.S., operating in 23 western states, and would benefit from increased volume of raw materials and industrial goods.\nInvestors may be paying a steep premium for these stocks, though.\nJacobs is up 26% this year and trades at 19 times next-12-month earnings, a 19% premium to its five-year average price/earnings multiple. If there’s upside, however, it could be in infrastructure—Jacobs’ “people and places” business generates $7 billion in annual revenue through modernizing public and private projects, partly to meet higher environmental standards, the company said on a recent earnings call.\nHubbell is up 27% this year and goes for 21 times earnings, against a five-year P/E average of 18. The company would benefit from increased spending on renewable-energy infrastructure, including solar and wind components.\nInsteel has gained 75% this year, though it still trades at a modest 13 times earnings. The company is facing supply constraints and logistics issues, though an infrastructure bill would be a benefit, Insteel recently told analysts.\nUnion Pacific stock is only up 5% this year and trades at 20 times earnings, above its five year P/E average of 19.\nFreight volume has been depressed due to supply-chain disruptions, a shortage of semiconductors, and backlogs of goods waiting to be unloaded at U.S. ports.\nBut the railroad is expecting raw materials volume to remain robust as the economy gains momentum. And Union hiked its annual dividend in May by 10% to $1.07 a share, giving it a 2% annualized yield.\nOther infrastructure favorites include aggregates companies Vulcan Materials(VMC) and Martin Marietta Materials(MLM), and industrial-machinery giants Deere(DE) and Caterpillar(CAT). In broadband, cell-tower companies such as American Tower REIT(AMT),SBA Communications(SBAC), and Crown Castle International(CCI) could benefit.\nInvestors can also gain exposure to the theme through an ETF. Top performers in clean tech this year include First Trust Nasdaq Clean Edge Smart GRID Infrastructure Index(GRID),Invesco MSCI Sustainable Future(ERTH), and First Trust Global Wind Energy(FAN).\nAsBarron’s has noted, electric-vehicle-charger component providers, including Amphenol (APH),TE Connectivity (TEL), and Sensata Technologies Holding (ST), could also be winners.\nThe iShares U.S. Infrastructure ETF (IFRA) includes a big slug of utilities at 44% of its asset base. The ETF has done well this year, gaining 20% against a 17% return for the S&P 500.\nThere could be more gains ahead if the infrastructure train finally leaves Union Station in Washington.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".SPX":0.9,".IXIC":0.9,".DJI":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":380,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":178609508,"gmtCreate":1626804715204,"gmtModify":1703765548725,"author":{"id":"3583575708819843","authorId":"3583575708819843","name":"mrzhuge","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/5334845cffee5a372a7e25268d3684de","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3583575708819843","idStr":"3583575708819843"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Naise ","listText":"Naise ","text":"Naise","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":7,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/178609508","repostId":"2152657163","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":580,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":179737328,"gmtCreate":1626576315164,"gmtModify":1703761926096,"author":{"id":"3583575708819843","authorId":"3583575708819843","name":"mrzhuge","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/5334845cffee5a372a7e25268d3684de","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3583575708819843","idStr":"3583575708819843"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Cool ","listText":"Cool ","text":"Cool","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":7,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/179737328","repostId":"2152968147","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":393,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":143643794,"gmtCreate":1625793536118,"gmtModify":1703748623394,"author":{"id":"3583575708819843","authorId":"3583575708819843","name":"mrzhuge","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/5334845cffee5a372a7e25268d3684de","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3583575708819843","idStr":"3583575708819843"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Cool","listText":"Cool","text":"Cool","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/143643794","repostId":"1195657546","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":495,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9024460754,"gmtCreate":1653908857578,"gmtModify":1676535360963,"author":{"id":"3583575708819843","authorId":"3583575708819843","name":"mrzhuge","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/5334845cffee5a372a7e25268d3684de","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3583575708819843","idStr":"3583575708819843"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nice ","listText":"Nice ","text":"Nice","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":6,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9024460754","repostId":"1117585024","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1117585024","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1653467665,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1117585024?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-05-25 16:34","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Reminder: U.S. Market Will Be Closed on May 30 for Memorial Day","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1117585024","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Memorial Day is around the corner.
