Humble Pie I faced unreasonable boss and bad politics in thecompany. I invested heavily in the US market hoping to make a pile and throw in the towel. After looking at my portfolio and $Alibaba(BABA)$, I guess humble pie will be my favourite food for lunch And dinner.@TigerEvents@TigerStars
I knew about Tiger through an investing website when the author compared the various online trading platforms. Through Tiger, I was able to invest in US market at the touch of my screen. The first stock I bought was Amazon and I earned a couple of hundred dollars. Even though it was a small amount, I gained confidence to invest in more quality and strong US companies. $MarketAxess(MKTX)$Well done! This is a quality stock with strong fundamentals. It is the company that revolutionise the trading of bonds which closed the gap in over the counter bond trading. It has a wide moat, protecting against the competition. With the recent announcement of its strong results, this is going to be a massive tailwind for MarketAxess.
There is Black Friday sale everywhere but we cannot buy everything. It is important for us to buy quality products at a discount. The same applies for stocks. Currently, $NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$
My goal is to reach financial freedom rather than retirement. I will be free to do what I like and be able to travel around the world when I like. This pandemic has added many uncertainties. It is best to be able to do what we like now.
