months.\n\nOnce consider","content":"
\n Despite short-term profit-taking, ORCL stock should move higher in the coming months.\n
\n
Once considered a laggard company in the world of technology,Oracle (NYSE:ORCL) stock has made a comeback as one of the best-performing tech names of 2021.
\n
Source: Jonathan Weiss / Shutterstock.com
\n
It was the original champion of database technology. Now Oracle is becoming an emerging force in both backend infrastructure technologies and software-as-a-service (SaaS). In other words, management is proving that what is considered outdated can quickly become hot again in the tech stock space.
\n
Investors have not been shy to bid ORCL stock up this year. Growth expectations mainly revolve around the cloud computing business. As a result, ORCL stock has soared by 56% over the last 12 months.
\n
And the rally accelerated after Oracle recently released its fourth-quarter and FY21 results. As a result, the shares hit a record high of $91.20. It currently trades around $87, up 35% in 2021. The current price supports a dividend yield of about 1.3%.
\n
Thanks to its success in the cloud, Oracle has outperformed many tech stocks currently underperforming the broader market this year. However, in the short run, ORCL stock is likely to be volatile and could see profit-taking
\n
Yet, long-term investors looking to generate lucrative returns in the rest of 2021 and beyond may consider buying the dips. Here’s why.
\n
How Recent Earnings Came
\n
Founded in 1977, Oracle is well-known for pioneering the first commercial SQL-based relational database management system. Now, with 430,000 customers in 175 countries, the tech giant provides database technology and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software to businesses and global governments. Its market capitalization stands at $246 billion.
\n
Oracle released fourth-quarter resultsin mid-June. Total revenue increased 8% year-over-year to $11.2 billion. Non-GAAP net income went up buy 20% to $4.5 billion, and non-GAAP earnings per share soared 29% to $1.54.
\n
In fiscal 2021, Oracle generated almost $13.8 billion in free cash flow. As a result, management invested heavily in stock buybacks. Excluding the $3 billion spent on dividends, it bought back 329 million shares at a cost of $21 billion in the past year. Cash and equivalents ended the fiscal year at $30.1 billion.
\n
On the results, CEO Safra Catz remarked, “Our Q4 performance was absolutely outstanding with total revenue beating guidance by nearly $200 million, and non-GAAP earnings per share beating guidance by $0.24.”
\n
Cloud apps saw 20% to 30% growth. Yet, it has not led to a significant increase in overall revenue for the fiscal year 2021. Oracle’s revenue of $40.5 billion grew only by 4% compared to the previous year.
\n
ORCL stock is currently trading at 19x forward price-earnings multiple and 6.5x current sales. The 12-month price target range for Oracle stock extends from $60 to $115. The median estimate of $80 would mean a decline of about 9% from the current levels. Therefore, short-term investors could see the shares come under pressure.
\n
Long-Term Tailwinds For Oracle Stock
\n
Despite the potential short-term volatility, there are many reasons for investors to consider ORCL stock. It has a broad portfolio addressing different spectrums of enterprise technology. Revenues have been gaining momentum after the company has shifted resources to the cloud space.
\n
Management regards the cloud in terms of platform, application, and infrastructure layers. Put another way, Oracle offers a complete package that may lead to a even a stronger competitive advantage in the long term.
\n
The company has recently announced plans to increase spending on data centers. It will double capital expenditures to almost $4 billion. Investors are hoping this heavy spending will boost the cloud businesses.
\n
Market research firm Research and Markets predicts cloud spending could grow at a compound annual growth rate of 17.5% through 2025. Although this implies a massive opportunity, Oracle currently has a minor share of the broad cloud market.
\n
The company still trails behind the market leaderAmazon(NASDAQ:AMZN) as well as other competitorsMicrosoft(NASDAQ:MSFT) and Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOG, NASDAQ:GOOGL). Now Oracle is becoming an emerging force in both backend infrastructure technologies and software-as-a-service (SaaS). In other words, management is proving that what is considered outdated can quickly become hot again in the tech stock space.\nInvestors have not been shy to bid ORCL stock up this year. Growth expectations mainly revolve around the cloud computing business. As a result, ORCL stock has soared by 56% over the last 12 months.\nAnd the rally accelerated after Oracle recently released its fourth-quarter and FY21 results. As a result, the shares hit a record high of $91.20. It currently trades around $87, up 35% in 2021. The current price supports a dividend yield of about 1.3%.\nThanks to its success in the cloud, Oracle has outperformed many tech stocks currently underperforming the broader market this year. However, in the short run, ORCL stock is likely to be volatile and could see profit-taking\nYet, long-term investors looking to generate lucrative returns in the rest of 2021 and beyond may consider buying the dips. Here’s why.\nHow Recent Earnings Came\nFounded in 1977, Oracle is well-known for pioneering the first commercial SQL-based relational database management system. Now, with 430,000 customers in 175 countries, the tech giant provides database technology and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software to businesses and global governments. Its market capitalization stands at $246 billion.\nOracle released fourth-quarter resultsin mid-June. Total revenue increased 8% year-over-year to $11.2 billion. Non-GAAP net income went up buy 20% to $4.5 billion, and non-GAAP earnings per share soared 29% to $1.54.\nIn fiscal 2021, Oracle generated almost $13.8 billion in free cash flow. As a result, management invested heavily in stock buybacks. Excluding the $3 billion spent on dividends, it bought back 329 million shares at a cost of $21 billion in the past year. Cash and equivalents ended the fiscal year at $30.1 billion.\nOn the results, CEO Safra Catz remarked, “Our Q4 performance was absolutely outstanding with total revenue beating guidance by nearly $200 million, and non-GAAP earnings per share beating guidance by $0.24.”\nCloud apps saw 20% to 30% growth. Yet, it has not led to a significant increase in overall revenue for the fiscal year 2021. Oracle’s revenue of $40.5 billion grew only by 4% compared to the previous year.\nORCL stock is currently trading at 19x forward price-earnings multiple and 6.5x current sales. The 12-month price target range for Oracle stock extends from $60 to $115. The median estimate of $80 would mean a decline of about 9% from the current levels. Therefore, short-term investors could see the shares come under pressure.\nLong-Term Tailwinds For Oracle Stock\nDespite the potential short-term volatility, there are many reasons for investors to consider ORCL stock. It has a broad portfolio addressing different spectrums of enterprise technology. Revenues have been gaining momentum after the company has shifted resources to the cloud space.\nManagement regards the cloud in terms of platform, application, and infrastructure layers. Put another way, Oracle offers a complete package that may lead to a even a stronger competitive advantage in the long term.\nThe company has recently announced plans to increase spending on data centers. It will double capital expenditures to almost $4 billion. Investors are hoping this heavy spending will boost the cloud businesses.\nMarket research firm Research and Markets predicts cloud spending could grow at a compound annual growth rate of 17.5% through 2025. Although this implies a massive opportunity, Oracle currently has a minor share of the broad cloud market.\nThe company still trails behind the market leaderAmazon(NASDAQ:AMZN) as well as other competitorsMicrosoft(NASDAQ:MSFT) and Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOG, NASDAQ:GOOGL). Recent quarterly metrics from these tech giants have shown the importance of cloud applications and services for revenues.\nIf management were to continue its recent success, it would be possible to see Oracle grow its market cap to rapidly in the coming quarters as well.\nThe Bottom Line on ORCL Stock\nOracle’s revenue mix now focuses more on subscriptions, especially in the cloud space. Investors would like to see the bottom line grow in the coming quarters. However, it might still be several quarters before management’s efforts translate into higher earnings.\nAlthough I remain bullish on ORCL stock for the long run, I expect some profit-taking in the coming weeks Interested investors could regard any drop toward the $80 to $82 level as a better entry point.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":769,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":808280335,"gmtCreate":1627594558727,"gmtModify":1703492879331,"author":{"id":"3587086446732192","authorId":"3587086446732192","name":"LinnWC","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/da6f8555cb2c346613a532e6abaf22b5","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3587086446732192","authorIdStr":"3587086446732192"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nice","listText":"Nice","text":"Nice","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/808280335","repostId":"2155188411","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2155188411","kind":"highlight","pubTimestamp":1627572637,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2155188411?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-07-29 23:30","market":"us","language":"en","title":"3 Reasons AMD Is a Buy After Q2 2021 Earnings","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2155188411","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"Advanced Micro Devices is no longer an underdog; it's a leading chip designer gobbling up market share.","content":"
Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ:AMD) transformation from also-ran chip company to dominant designer of next-gen computing hardware is complete. To be fair, the spring quarter was lapping the period during the first economic lockdowns in 2020 when sales were sparse. However, let's not take too much away from AMD. Semiconductor industry titan Intel was lapping a poor showing from a year ago too, but recently reported flat revenue in its Q2 2021.
\n
The $3.85 billion in sales actually beat CEO Dr. Lisa Su and the company's guidance provided a few months ago by $150 million. Su attributed part of the outperformance to AMD's ability to coax some extra supply from its chip fabrication partners during the last three-month period. More supply is expected to come online during the second half of 2021, but the global chip shortage will likely continue into 2022.
\n
Nevertheless, AMD's Q2 beat and further advance on the supply side led Su and the top team to raise its outlook for full-year 2021 sales growth. Revenue is now expected to be up approximately 60% from 2020, compared to previous guidance for 50% growth.
\n
2. And on the consumer chip front, Tesla chose AMD hardware to power the infotainment system in the latest Model S and Model X.
\n
These market share gains could continue for some time at AMD. The company's next-gen products utilizing 5-nanometer architecture (the smallest and highest-performing chips) are coming in 2022 -- well ahead of the product roadmap at rival Intel.
\n
3. AMD is now a highly profitable firm
\n
As AMD's technology has improved and sales have gained, its profitability profile has also been significantly raised. Free cash flow generated in the quarter was $888 million.
\n
The implications of this are significant. AMD can now comfortably invest in itself from cash it generates, and go shopping with the excess when an opportunity arises. Take Xilinx (NASDAQ:XLNX), for example. The acquisition of the leading field-programmable gate array (FPGA) company will close by the end of this year and open up yet another front on which AMD can attack Intel. Adding Xilinx to the mix will also further boost AMD's profit margin and research and development capabilities. This is a great match for the company and will position it for many more years of expansion.
\n
Investor takeaway
\n
AMD's stock now trades for 46 times trailing-12-month free cash flow. The update, known as iOS 14.5, allows iPhone and iPad users to limit companies from tracking their device’s activity. This makes it difficult for companies like Facebook to target users with personalized ads.\nNo company complained more about the impact of iOS 14.5 than Facebook, which warned that the change to the Apple software would impact small businesses’ ability to market to their customers. For a while now, Facebook has warned investors to brace for “ad targeting headwinds” related to Apple’s changes, as well as others in the internet landscape.\nThe social media giant is scheduled to release earnings Wednesday, July 28 after the bell.\nFacebook’s revenue for the second quarter, their guidance for the rest of the year and any commentary from the company’s executives during its earnings call will be telling. This quarter’s results could provide insight as to how many users opted to restrict Facebook’s tracking and whether the social media company has been able to navigate those restrictions.\n“The changes went into effect during the quarter, and we’re still seeing the rollout of the 14.5 update,” said Debra Aho Williamson, principal analyst at eMarketer. “I’m going to be very curious.”\nAlready, Facebook’s peers have navigated the challenge’s of iOS 14.5 with few setbacks. Snap, for example, was not affected by the Apple update as it had anticipated, telling analysts on its earnings call on Thursday that it had observed “higher opt-in rates than we are seeing reported generally across the industry.”Twitterechoed the sentiment, telling shareholders that the effect of Apple’s changes was lower than expected. Both companies did warn that the long-term impacts of iOS 14.5 remain to be seen, but so far, the early returns have been promising.\nHere are three Facebook storylines to follow when the company announces its second-quarter earnings:\n1. Facebook’s commerce business\nIn an effort to combat the restrictions of Apple’s iOS 14.5 update, Facebook has been ramping up its efforts to bring more commerce directly into its own apps.\nIt did this last year by introducing Facebook Shops and Instagram Shops, and more recently, the company announced plans to introduce more ways for creators to promote shoppable products through their Instagram accounts. Further,Facebook in June announced its plans to bring shops to WhatsApp, a messaging service.\nBy having users make purchases from advertisers directly on its own apps, Facebook is able to directly measure the effectiveness of its ads and provide those stats to advertisers.\nAlready, Facebook claims more than 300 million monthly Shops visitors and 1.2 million monthly active Shops across its apps. Any updates from Facebook regarding its commerce efforts will be worthwhile for investors.\n“While Q2 is not historically a big commerce quarter, social commerce is clearly coming into its own,” said Ron Josey, JMP Securities managing director.\n2. Covid’s impact on app usage\nInvestors will want to know whether the economic reopening and the expansion of Covid-19 vaccines have affected the amount of time users spend on Facebook and its various apps.\nA year ago when people worldwide were forced indoors, Facebook and other consumer apps saw their usage skyrocket as people sought to stay connected. Now, investors will want to know if that usage has taken a hit or will it continue growing.\n“Now that people are out and getting around, are they posting more or are they living in the real world? What are they doing?” said Kim Forrest, chief investment officer of Bokeh Capital.\nAdding a twist to this, however, is the growing spread of the delta variant of the coronavirus. As cases start to rise again in the U.S., investors will want to know what kind of effect, if any, the delta variant could have on Facebook usage.\n3. The regulatory outlook\nFacebook has been under the microscope of lawmakers and regulators worldwide since the company’s March 2018 Cambridge Analytica scandal, in which it was reported that a political consulting firm had improperly accessed the data of 87 million Facebook profiles in a bid to influence the 2016 presidential election.\nThis quarter included some major news regarding all of that regulatory pressure.\nMost notably,Facebook scored a major win in late June when a federal court dismissed an antitrust complaint from the Federal Trade Commission against the company as well as a parallel case brought by 48 state attorneys general. Those fights aren’t quite over just yet, but they certainly relieved some of Facebook’s headaches.\nFurther, the company came under more scrutiny in July when the Biden administration scolded the social media company for not doing enough to combat misinformation on its services that discourage people from taking Covid-19 vaccines. At one point, President Joe Biden said “they’re killing people” in regards to the misinformation on Facebook.\nHearing directly from Facebook’s leaders on their outlook for regulatory pressure following these two developments would be welcome insight for investors.\n“Getting out from underneath the FTC investigation, for the moment, takes a big weight off of Facebook’s back, but the regulatory environment isn’t getting any easier anytime soon,” said Daniel Newman, principal analyst at Futurum Research.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":912,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":800744545,"gmtCreate":1627335282887,"gmtModify":1703487673949,"author":{"id":"3587086446732192","authorId":"3587086446732192","name":"LinnWC","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/da6f8555cb2c346613a532e6abaf22b5","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3587086446732192","authorIdStr":"3587086446732192"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Good!","listText":"Good!","text":"Good!","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/800744545","repostId":"1177576068","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1177576068","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1627312035,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1177576068?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-07-26 23:07","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Starbucks' Q3 Earnings Preview: Will Reopening Momentum Last?","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1177576068","media":"Motley Fool ","summary":"The international coffee giant is set to report earnings after the market closes on Tuesday.","content":"
Key Points
\n
\n
The delta variant might slow reopening momentum for many companies, including Starbucks.
\n
Starbucks' stock is up by double-digit percentages in the last month.
\n
Starbucks' investors might be too optimistic heading into earnings.
\n
\n
Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX)was hit hard at the onset of the pandemic as it had to close most of its stores to in-restaurant dining to help slow the spread of the coronavirus. Through 2020, this worked out to an aggregate return of more than 2,800,000%, and it's created over $500 billion in value for Berkshire Hathaway's shareholders.
\n
Like all investors, Buffett isn't infallible. He's going to make mistakes from time to time. But he and his investing team have a knack for locating companies with plain-as-day sustainable competitive advantages. Even though it's a stock that was added by Buffett's investing lieutenants (Todd Combs and Ted Weschler) and not the Oracle of Omaha himself, it's nevertheless one of the most attractive holdings in Berkshire Hathaway's portfolio.
\n
As a lot of folks are probably aware, Amazon is the king of the hill when it comes online commerce. This year, the company's marketplace is expected to control roughly $0.40 of every $1 spent online in the United States, according to an April report from eMarketer. The next closest competitor is Walmart, which'll handle about 7% of all U.S. online retail.
\n
Amazon has been able to pivot its incredible online retail success into signing up more than 200 million people worldwide to a Prime membership. While Prime members enjoy free two-day shipping and access to streaming content, the lure for Amazon is that Prime fees generate tens of billions in added revenue that it can use to undercut brick-and-mortar retailers on price and buoy its margins.
\n
What you might not realize about Amazon is that it's overwhelmingly dominant in a second industry, as well. Amazon Web Services (AWS) brought in 32% of global cloud infrastructure spending in the first quarter, per Canalys. Cloud infrastructure is still, arguably, in the early innings of its expansion, and it's a considerably higher margin segment for Amazon than retail or advertising. Thus, AWS is going to send Amazon's operating cash flow to the moon as it grows into a larger percentage of total sales.
\n
For the past 11 years, Wall Street and investors have consistently valued Amazon at a multiple of 23 to 37 times its cash flow. If this range remains intact, a near-tripling in the stock is possible by mid-decade.
\n
\n
Bristol Myers Squibb
\n
If value investing suits you better, pharmaceutical stock Bristol Myers Squibb (NYSE:BMY) has the makings of a screaming summer buy.
\n
The great thing about healthcare stocks is they're highly defensive. Since we don't get to choose when we get sick or what ailments we develop, there's a consistent demand for healthcare services, drugs, and devices, no matter how well or poorly the U.S. and global economy are performing.
\n
What makes Bristol Myers Squibb such a special company is its organic growth potential and astute dealmaking. To tackle the former, Bristol Myers and Pfizer co-developed the world's leading oral anticoagulant, Eliquis, which looks to be on pace for more than $10 billion in sales this year for Bristol. There's also cancer immunotherapy Opdivo, which is being examined in dozens of ongoing clinical trials. Opdivo is already bringing in about $7 billion annually, and could push higher with continued label expansion opportunities. All told, eight brand-name therapies are on track for at least $1.2 billion in annual sales this year, based on extrapolated Q1 sales totals.
\n
On the dealmaking front, Bristol Myers Squibb hit a home run when it acquired cancer and immunology drugmaker Celgene in 2019. Celgene's superstar is multiple myeloma drug Revlimid, which brought in $12.1 billion in sales last year and has been growing by a double-digit percentage annually for more than a decade. Longer duration of use, label expansions, improved cancer screening diagnostics, and strong pricing power have all fueled Revlimid's growth. Best of all, it's protected from a large wave of generic competition until the end of January 2026. This means Bristol Myers will be basking in significant cash flow for another 4.5 years.
\n
In a world where valuation premiums are soaring, it seems unjust that a company so profitable should be valued at only 8.5 times Wall Street's consensus earnings for 2022.
\n
\n
General Motors
\n
Lastly, if you want a screaming summer buy that's near and dear to Warren Buffett's investment philosophy, consider auto stock General Motors (NYSE:GM).
\n
Historically, auto stocks are slow-growing companies that sports high levels of debt and are valued at price-to-earnings multiples that are well below the average S&P 500 company. With IHS Markit forecasting that 10% of all U.S. vehicle sales will be electric by 2025 (up from 1.8% in 2020), a hefty investment in this changing landscape makes sense for GM.
\n
Equally important are the company's ambitions overseas -- especially in China, the largest auto market in the world. At one point, President Joe Biden said “they’re killing people” in regards to the misinformation on Facebook.\nHearing directly from Facebook’s leaders on their outlook for regulatory pressure following these two developments would be welcome insight for investors.\n“Getting out from underneath the FTC investigation, for the moment, takes a big weight off of Facebook’s back, but the regulatory environment isn’t getting any easier anytime soon,” said Daniel Newman, principal analyst at Futurum Research.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":912,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":805920252,"gmtCreate":1627853669976,"gmtModify":1703496455624,"author":{"id":"3587086446732192","authorId":"3587086446732192","name":"LinnWC","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/da6f8555cb2c346613a532e6abaf22b5","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3587086446732192","authorIdStr":"3587086446732192"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nice","listText":"Nice","text":"Nice","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":3,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/805920252","repostId":"1159296868","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1159296868","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1627786610,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1159296868?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-08-01 10:56","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Why Oracle Stock Could Be Volatile In August","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1159296868","media":"InvestorPlace","summary":"Despite short-term profit-taking, ORCL stock should move higher in the coming months.\n\nOnce consider","content":"
Extra supply equated to a sales beat
\n
AMD reported revenue of $3.85 billion in Q2, up 99% from a year ago and an acceleration from the 93% pace set in Q1.
\n
2. Years of market share gains could lie ahead
\n
The former underdog now has an advanced lineup of chips -- on many fronts, more advanced than the flagging Intel -- and as a result, reported yet another quarter of growth across its entire product line.
\n
During Q2, AMD said half of the world's newest and fastest supercomputers were powered by its EPYC data center CPUs (central processing units). Alphabet's Google Cloud also announced big leaps in price-to-performance using EPYC CPUs versus peers, no doubt helping lead to the increased adoption of the chips in cloud computing and data centers.
In Q2 2021, operating profit margin was 22% -- helping it break from the below-industry average, single-digit percentage operating margin it was stuck in for years.
Considering the growth it expects to generate on its own and the looming addition of Xilinx, shares look like a long-term value right now.
","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
3 Reasons AMD Is a Buy After Q2 2021 Earnings
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n3 Reasons AMD Is a Buy After Q2 2021 Earnings\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-07-29 23:30 GMT+8 Motley Fool\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ:AMD) transformation from also-ran chip company to dominant designer of next-gen computing hardware is complete. He's going to make mistakes from time to time. But he and his investing team have a knack for locating companies with plain-as-day sustainable competitive advantages. As the summer temperatures heat up, the following three Warren Buffett stocks stand out as screaming buys.
\n
Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett. Image source: The Motley Fool.
\n
Amazon
\n
Was there ever any doubt that Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) wouldn't be a screaming buy?
But General Motors and its peers are the verge of taking advantage of an epic vehicle replacement cycle as consumers and businesses make the shift to electric vehicles (EV).
\n
Initially, General Motors was going to devote $20 billion to EV investment by mid-decade. However, in November, the company upped its expected outlay to $27 billion by 2025, with the ultimate goal of bringing 30 new EVs to market globally. Some of this capital will be used to bring EVs to market earlier than initially planned, as well as to develop GM's battery technology.
By 2035, the Society of Automotive Engineers of China anticipates that half of all vehicle sales will be some form of alternative energy. Through the first-half of 2021, GM delivered more than 1.5 million vehicles in China. With an established presence, existing infrastructure, and well-known branding, GM has a real shot at becoming an EV leader in China.
\n
A forward-year price-to-earnings ratio of 8 simply doesn't convey the multi-decade growth opportunity that's on GM's doorstep.
","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
3 Warren Buffett Stocks That Are Screaming Summer Buys
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n3 Warren Buffett Stocks That Are Screaming Summer Buys\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-07-26 19:26 GMT+8 Motley Fool\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
If you've ever wondered why Wall Street pays such close attention to 90-year-old investor who believes in buying and holding stakes in great businesses for a really long time, look no further than ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{"AMZN":"亚马逊","GM":"通用汽车","BMY":"施贵宝","BRK.B":"伯克希尔B","BRK.A":"伯克希尔"},"source_url":"https://www.fool.com/investing/2021/07/26/3-warren-buffett-stocks-are-screaming-summer-buys/","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/e9f99090a1c2ed51c021029395664489","article_id":"2154957883","content_text":"If you've ever wondered why Wall Street pays such close attention to 90-year-old investor who believes in buying and holding stakes in great businesses for a really long time, look no further than Warren Buffett's track record.
