Investors are anticipating a new set of clinical-trial data from the company's lead candidate, simufilam, to be presented at the Alzheimer's Association International Conference (AAIC) later this month.\nSo what\nThe FDA's controversial approval of Aduhelm from Biogen this June has many retail investors excited about the next potential Alzheimer's disease treatment. Consumer Discretionary (i.e. Retail, Travel & Leisure), Semis, Banks and Energy are strong buys at current levels. For instance,\n large-cap Energy is now trading at a ~10% FCF yield and a >8% FCF/EV yield at $70 Brent in 2022, with leverage that is <1x. The sector has increasing potential for a sharp short squeeze and move higher, given its extreme disconnect from oil fundamentals (i.e. widest in 30+ years, Figure 10). In addition, our Semiconductor research argues that we are only 30-40% of the way into the current semiconductor upcycle and expect strong Y/Y growth into next year with positive EPS revisions for the next 3-4 quarters. Supply will likely remain tight into 2022, while demand remains strong (20-40% above companies’ ability to supply), thus this supply demand imbalance will persist through 2021. Although customers are responding to tight supply with higher than needed orders, ongoing supply tightness is limiting fulfillment. In fact, JPM expects channel and customer inventories to decline Q/Q again in the just completed June quarter.\n
\n
Looking at the fundamentals, JPM predicts that S&P 500 gains should also be supported by strong earnings growth and capital return until 2023,and is why JPM is adjusting its above consensus S&P 500 EPS by another $5 for 2022 to $230 (consensus $214) and 2023 to $250 (consensus $233).
\n
\n This revision is largely due to global reopening which is delayed and bound to release further pent-up demand, inventory replenishment, rising profitability for Energy companies, and ongoing policy actions (childcare, infrastructure, etc). We expect cumulative revenue growth of ~30% by 2023 relative to pre-COVID (FY 2019), ~150bp net income margin expansion to a record high at over 13%, and gross buybacks nearing an annual pace of ~$1t during this period.\n
\n
While all sectors are expected to contribute to earnings growth, JPM expects reflation sensitive sectors (Commodities, Financials, Industrials) and Consumer to do the heaviest lifting in the coming quarters in terms of beats and revisions.
\n
Putting it all together, Lakos-Bujas says that \"considering this outlook for earnings and shareholder return, we are raising our Price Target to 4,600 for year-end 2021.\"
\n
But while any first year strategist can goalseek a fundamentally bullish narrative and chart it, as JPM has done below...
\n
... there is a very specific reason behind JPM's bullish reversal:the coming surge in buybacks which will result in a boom in shareholder returns,or as Dubravko notes, \"corporates have already increased gross buybacks from pandemic era low of $525b (trailing twelve months as of 1Q21) to an annualized run rate of ~$775b YTD and should surpass previous record of ~$850b (as of 1Q19).\"
\n
In practical terms, JPM expects a sharp drop in the S&P's share count in the next 24 months as the buyback-facilitated slow-motion LBO continues.
\n
Some more details below on the one biggest catalyst behind JPM's SPX price target hike:
\n
\n Expecting a boom in shareholder return led by buybacks.Buybacks are reemerging as a key theme with net buyback activity significantly improving this year after bottoming in 2Q20. Corporate buyback announcements, typically a leading indicator of buyback execution activity and corporate confidence, have already well-exceeded 2020 levels ($431B YTD vs. $307B 2020, see Figure 25). In fact,\n the rebound in announcement activity is similar to the surge post-TCJA (see Figure 23) which is tracking towards and it is likely to easily surpass ~$650B by year-end and likely to see rolling 12-month announcements surpass prior record level of ~$1T.Historically, buyback announcements have been concentrated within Technology and Financials. However, YTD we are seeing strong announcement activity from Communications as well (driven by GOOGL ~$50B in Apr). With record profit margins (~13% in 2022 vs ~11.5% in 2019), bloated cash levels of $2.0T ex-financials (vs. $1.6T pre- COVID), and lower high grade debt yields (JULI at 2.6% now, vs 3.3% prepandemic),we are expecting a boom in buyback activity over the next year.Gross buybacks should surpass the prior executed high of $850b.
\n
In summary, assuming $875b in buybacks and dividend income of $575 over the next year,JPM calculates thatthe expected shareholder yield is 3.9%.This, as Dubravko concludes, \"is a significant cross-asset valuation support for equities at a time when 10yr US bonds are yielding 1.2% and $13 trillion of global debt has a negative yield.\"
","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Here Is The One-Word Reason Why JPMorgan Just Raised Its S&P Target To 4,600
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nHere Is The One-Word Reason Why JPMorgan Just Raised Its S&P Target To 4,600\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-07-21 17:15 GMT+8 zerohedge\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Mid-cycle?Late-cycle? As a reminder, ~$90B of Tech’s $133B in announcements YTD is supported by AAPL and ~$25B of Financials' ~$92B is supported by BAC.\n\nWith the June 30th lifting of pandemic era restriction on US Banks,we could see some further pick-up in buyback announcements.Dry powder (i.e. announced repurchase programs not yet executed) levels have been recovering to pre-pandemic levels (~$658B, see Figure 27) as executions have been relatively slower to rebound but should show a material sequential growth in the coming quarters. With record profit margins (~13% in 2022 vs ~11.5% in 2019), bloated cash levels of $2.0T ex-financials (vs. $1.6T pre- COVID), and lower high grade debt yields (JULI at 2.6% now, vs 3.3% prepandemic),we are expecting a boom in buyback activity over the next year.Gross buybacks should surpass the prior executed high of $850b.\nIn summary, assuming $875b in buybacks and dividend income of $575 over the next year,JPM calculates thatthe expected shareholder yield is 3.9%.This, as Dubravko concludes, \"is a significant cross-asset valuation support for equities at a time when 10yr US bonds are yielding 1.2% and $13 trillion of global debt has a negative yield.\"","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":401,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":178095186,"gmtCreate":1626770466945,"gmtModify":1703764864587,"author":{"id":"4087439987071390","authorId":"4087439987071390","name":"shika","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/2703029b3560eb0f973ab0afce30dedb","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4087439987071390","idStr":"4087439987071390"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow","listText":"Wow","text":"Wow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/178095186","repostId":"1117620888","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":536,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":173773879,"gmtCreate":1626691500591,"gmtModify":1703763419161,"author":{"id":"4087439987071390","authorId":"4087439987071390","name":"shika","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/2703029b3560eb0f973ab0afce30dedb","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4087439987071390","idStr":"4087439987071390"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"??","listText":"??","text":"??","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":6,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/173773879","repostId":"1111084715","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1111084715","pubTimestamp":1626649255,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1111084715?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-07-19 07:00","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Netflix, AT&T, Snap, Chipotle, Twitter, and Other Stocks for Investors to Watch This Week","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1111084715","media":"Barrons","summary":"Second-quarter earnings season picks up this week, as 76 S&P 500 companies are scheduled to report. The world's leading subscription-based streaming service will announce its first-quarter results after having posted wildly different growth rates in the previous two reports.
\n
Netflix's late April earnings showed much slower user growth than management had forecast, which executives blamed on temporary challenges like a light content release schedule rather than rising competition from rivals like Disney (NYSE:DIS).
\n
That explanation raises the bar for Netflix to issue an optimistic forecast for the second half of 2021 in its announcement on July 20. Let's take a look at the key metrics to follow in that report.
\n
Meeting low expectations
\n
Growth expectations are low following last quarter's surprise slowdown. Netflix is aiming to add just 1 million global subscribers after gaining 4 million last quarter. The same factors that powered that weak Q1 result will affect Q2. Those include a return to more normal TV trends as people turned to other entertainment activities in the wake of the pandemic.
\n
The big growth question is whether Netflix is feeling heat from competition like Disney's expanding streaming service. Executives said in April that these threats weren't to blame for the slow start to the year, given that engagement remained strong with existing members and growth was sluggish across many markets rather than just in the ones with new competition. Tuesday's report will mark Netflix's opportunity to show that it is still the leader in the niche.
\n
Capital questions
\n
The improving cash flow picture has been a big factor behind Netflix's stock price surge, and that's likely to be another highlight of this report. Ironically, the worry is that the company can't spend cash quickly enough to keep the content pipeline fully stocked. Most TV and movie production paused early last year and has only now started back up. Management is hoping to spend as much as $17 billion on content this year while marking its first year of positive cash flow.
\n
NFLX Cash from Operations (TTM) data by YCharts
\n
Look for a new financial metric this quarter, too: stock buyback spending. Executives started that program in Q2 after the company found plenty of room to invest in the business while paying down its debt.
\n
The forecast for the second half
\n
Netflix has been telling investors that the business will resume its impressive growth rate in the second half of the year, mainly thanks to the flood of new releases that will hit its servers. Tuesday's report is management's opportunity to back up those claims with hard numbers.
\n
The company will issue a new subscriber outlook that should reflect its industry leadership position and its unusually high member loyalty. The world's leading subscription-based streaming service will announce its first-quarter results after having posted wildly different growth rates in the previous two reports.\nNetflix's late April earnings showed much slower user growth than management had forecast, which executives blamed on temporary challenges like a light content release schedule rather than rising competition from rivals like Disney (NYSE:DIS).\nThat explanation raises the bar for Netflix to issue an optimistic forecast for the second half of 2021 in its announcement on July 20. Let's take a look at the key metrics to follow in that report.\nMeeting low expectations\nGrowth expectations are low following last quarter's surprise slowdown. Netflix is aiming to add just 1 million global subscribers after gaining 4 million last quarter. The same factors that powered that weak Q1 result will affect Q2. Those include a return to more normal TV trends as people turned to other entertainment activities in the wake of the pandemic.\nThe big growth question is whether Netflix is feeling heat from competition like Disney's expanding streaming service. Executives said in April that these threats weren't to blame for the slow start to the year, given that engagement remained strong with existing members and growth was sluggish across many markets rather than just in the ones with new competition. Tuesday's report will mark Netflix's opportunity to show that it is still the leader in the niche.\nCapital questions\nThe improving cash flow picture has been a big factor behind Netflix's stock price surge, and that's likely to be another highlight of this report. Ironically, the worry is that the company can't spend cash quickly enough to keep the content pipeline fully stocked. Most TV and movie production paused early last year and has only now started back up. Management is hoping to spend as much as $17 billion on content this year while marking its first year of positive cash flow.\nNFLX Cash from Operations (TTM) data by YCharts\nLook for a new financial metric this quarter, too: stock buyback spending. Executives started that program in Q2 after the company found plenty of room to invest in the business while paying down its debt.\nThe forecast for the second half\nNetflix has been telling investors that the business will resume its impressive growth rate in the second half of the year, mainly thanks to the flood of new releases that will hit its servers. Tuesday's report is management's opportunity to back up those claims with hard numbers.\nThe company will issue a new subscriber outlook that should reflect its industry leadership position and its unusually high member loyalty. Anything less might be a reason for shareholders to worry. Meanwhile, Netflix's updated profit outlook should continue forecasting at least a 20% operating margin, assuming management is right about its ability to raise prices as user engagement rises.\nThe forecast for the fall and winter months might seem weak compared to the blockbuster growth the service enjoyed in 2019 and 2020. But with global membership rising further above 200 million, it should also reinforce the idea that Netflix is still in the early days of improving on its current base of just 10% of total TV screen time in the U.S. market.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":279,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":179690613,"gmtCreate":1626511670532,"gmtModify":1703761337453,"author":{"id":"4087439987071390","authorId":"4087439987071390","name":"shika","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/2703029b3560eb0f973ab0afce30dedb","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4087439987071390","idStr":"4087439987071390"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"?","listText":"?","text":"?","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/179690613","repostId":"1119997447","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1119997447","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1626443027,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1119997447?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-07-16 21:43","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Airlines stocks gains in early trading, as Biden Hinting at Lifting Europe Travel Ban.","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1119997447","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Airlines stocks gains in early trading, as Biden Hinting at Lifting Europe Travel Ban.\nUAL and DAL s","content":"
Airlines stocks gains in early trading, as Biden Hinting at Lifting Europe Travel Ban.
\n
UAL and DAL shares rise more than 1%,AAL is up 0.5%.
\n
U.S. President Joe Biden signaled progress toward lifting a ban on travel from Europe, raising hopes for a reopening of the almost $40 billion North Atlantic air corridor 16 months after flights were grounded by Covid-19.
\n
“It’s in process now,” Biden said at a news conference with Merkel following their meeting. “I’m waiting to hear from our folks, our Covid team, as to when that should be done.”
\n
He said to expect an answer “within the next several days.”
\n
Removing the ban would be a boon for carriers on both sides of the Atlantic. While the market's sentiment towards affirm is currently negative, long-term investors could have an opportunity to acquire a quality company with bright growth prospects.
\n
Affirm brings buyers and sellers together on its digital platform, and younger consumers favor its installment services over traditional transaction methods. With strong merchant partnerships under its belt, Affirm is poised to be a strong competitor in the buy now, pay later industry - even if competitors are present.
\n
Affirm - A Better Way To Buy
\n
Affirm is a technology platform that facilitates e-commerce transactions at the point of sale. The value Affirm provides is experienced both on the merchant and consumer ends.
\n
Source: Affirm Holdings
\n
Affirm sits between buyers and merchants to create a simple interface to facilitate commerce. Consumers get simple financing tools such as fixed payment installation plans with no hidden fees or confusing rules. Merchants can advertise their products on the platform, receive data and analytics about their traffic, and achieve a higher conversion on sales because Affirm is nurturing the transaction with its interface.
\n
This creates a win-win for both merchants and consumers versus traditional commerce channels that make the merchant solely responsible for their traffic and consumers responsible for completing the transaction. Both sides are isolated from one another.
\n
Source: Affirm Holdings
\n
Traditional financial institutions have historically offered poor consumer experiences and are generally thought of as a \"necessary evil.\" However, Affirm has managed to build a positive image in the eyes of consumers and is held in high regard with its customers. People want to buy through Affirm; they don't have to.
\n
Tremendous Growth Runway
\n
One of the compelling aspects about Affirm and the buy now, pay later industry is the massive addressable market that it represents. E-commerce sales total roughly $600 billion in the United States and $3.4 trillion globally.
\n
Source: Affirm Holdings
\n
E-commerce has been an investing talking point for years, but the truth is that we remain in the early innings of the global story. Change takes time, especially in huge addressable markets. Affirm's 2020 merchant volume, the value of purchases on its network, was just $4.6 billion but grew 77% over 2019.
\n
Driving growth is both the expansion of the platform's customer count and merchant base. Affirm currently has about 4.5 million users. From a merchant's standpoint, Affirm has roughly 7.9K on its network with a collection of premium brands, led by Peloton (PTON), representing about a fifth of Affirm's business. Affirm alsorecently partneredwith Shopify (SHOP) to exclusively power Shop Pay installments in the US.
\n
Source: Affirm Holdings
\n
What About Competition?
\n
The most likely culprit for Affirm's poor price action over the past couple of months is the market's fear that payment services as a whole (including buy now, pay later) is already a very crowded space.
\n
Affirm is not the only company of its type, with pure-play competitors including Klarna, Afterpay (OTCPK:AFTPF), and larger companies such asPayPal(PYPL). Apple (AAPL) recentlyconfirmed intentionsto launch a buy now, pay later option for consumers using Apple Pay as a payment method.
\n
So should investors be worried about competition? Here is why I think the competition angle is overrated. First, we are talking about a multi-trillion dollar long-term addressable market. There is plenty of room for multiple companies to exist, grow, and thrive over time.
\n
Secondly, this space will be about winning over merchants, which is done by providing value. Streaming company Roku (ROKU) has scaled its business by providing value to its partners to grow its footprint over time - despite the presence of big players like Amazon (AMZN) and Alphabet (GOOG) (GOOGL).
\n
Source: Affirm Holdings
\n
While not quite \"apples to apples,\" I see Affirm in a similar light. Simply existing in the space is not enough, and Apple needs to prove its value as an entrant in the space. Meanwhile, Affirm is seeing its merchants steadily spend more money on its platform over time. This would obviously imply that Affirm's platform is valuable in driving transactions for its merchants. Affirm has had success striking strong merchant partnerships, and that needs to continue moving forward.
\n
Fear Creates Opportunity
\n
It's common for newly public companies to experience volatility post-IPO, and Affirm has been no exception. Perhaps fueled by competitive fears, the stock currently trades near 52-week lows.
\n
Source:YCharts
\n
Affirm is currently unprofitable, but it's a young, growing business trying to grab market share. In the company's FY21 Q3, the company burned $229 million in operating losses, but Affirm has $1.6 billion in cash on hand, so near-term liquidity is not a concern.
\n
In the meantime, analysts expect Affirm to finish out the year with 63% revenue growth and continue growing in the years ahead. While the market's sentiment towards affirm is currently negative, long-term investors could have an opportunity to acquire a quality company with bright growth prospects.\nAffirm brings buyers and sellers together on its digital platform, and younger consumers favor its installment services over traditional transaction methods. With strong merchant partnerships under its belt, Affirm is poised to be a strong competitor in the buy now, pay later industry - even if competitors are present.\nAffirm - A Better Way To Buy\nAffirm is a technology platform that facilitates e-commerce transactions at the point of sale. The value Affirm provides is experienced both on the merchant and consumer ends.\nSource: Affirm Holdings\nAffirm sits between buyers and merchants to create a simple interface to facilitate commerce. Consumers get simple financing tools such as fixed payment installation plans with no hidden fees or confusing rules. Merchants can advertise their products on the platform, receive data and analytics about their traffic, and achieve a higher conversion on sales because Affirm is nurturing the transaction with its interface.\nThis creates a win-win for both merchants and consumers versus traditional commerce channels that make the merchant solely responsible for their traffic and consumers responsible for completing the transaction. Both sides are isolated from one another.\nSource: Affirm Holdings\nTraditional financial institutions have historically offered poor consumer experiences and are generally thought of as a \"necessary evil.\" However, Affirm has managed to build a positive image in the eyes of consumers and is held in high regard with its customers. People want to buy through Affirm; they don't have to.\nTremendous Growth Runway\nOne of the compelling aspects about Affirm and the buy now, pay later industry is the massive addressable market that it represents. E-commerce sales total roughly $600 billion in the United States and $3.4 trillion globally.\nSource: Affirm Holdings\nE-commerce has been an investing talking point for years, but the truth is that we remain in the early innings of the global story. Change takes time, especially in huge addressable markets. Affirm's 2020 merchant volume, the value of purchases on its network, was just $4.6 billion but grew 77% over 2019.\nDriving growth is both the expansion of the platform's customer count and merchant base. Affirm currently has about 4.5 million users. From a merchant's standpoint, Affirm has roughly 7.9K on its network with a collection of premium brands, led by Peloton (PTON), representing about a fifth of Affirm's business. Affirm alsorecently partneredwith Shopify (SHOP) to exclusively power Shop Pay installments in the US.\nSource: Affirm Holdings\nWhat About Competition?\nThe most likely culprit for Affirm's poor price action over the past couple of months is the market's fear that payment services as a whole (including buy now, pay later) is already a very crowded space.\nAffirm is not the only company of its type, with pure-play competitors including Klarna, Afterpay (OTCPK:AFTPF), and larger companies such asPayPal(PYPL). Apple (AAPL) recentlyconfirmed intentionsto launch a buy now, pay later option for consumers using Apple Pay as a payment method.\nSo should investors be worried about competition? Here is why I think the competition angle is overrated. First, we are talking about a multi-trillion dollar long-term addressable market. There is plenty of room for multiple companies to exist, grow, and thrive over time.\nSecondly, this space will be about winning over merchants, which is done by providing value. Streaming company Roku (ROKU) has scaled its business by providing value to its partners to grow its footprint over time - despite the presence of big players like Amazon (AMZN) and Alphabet (GOOG) (GOOGL).\nSource: Affirm Holdings\nWhile not quite \"apples to apples,\" I see Affirm in a similar light. Simply existing in the space is not enough, and Apple needs to prove its value as an entrant in the space. Meanwhile, Affirm is seeing its merchants steadily spend more money on its platform over time. This would obviously imply that Affirm's platform is valuable in driving transactions for its merchants. Affirm has had success striking strong merchant partnerships, and that needs to continue moving forward.\nFear Creates Opportunity\nIt's common for newly public companies to experience volatility post-IPO, and Affirm has been no exception. Perhaps fueled by competitive fears, the stock currently trades near 52-week lows.\nSource:YCharts\nAffirm is currently unprofitable, but it's a young, growing business trying to grab market share. In the company's FY21 Q3, the company burned $229 million in operating losses, but Affirm has $1.6 billion in cash on hand, so near-term liquidity is not a concern.\nIn the meantime, analysts expect Affirm to finish out the year with 63% revenue growth and continue growing in the years ahead. I wouldn't be surprised to see Affirm perform well above 2022 and 2023 estimates.\nSource: Seeking Alpha\nAs a result, the stock is trading in the mid-teens on a forward basis PS ratio, which isn't a bargain necessarily, but an attractive valuation for a company with the business model and growth runway that Affirm has.\nWrapping Up\nAffirm is a strong horse that is being lost in a crowded field. It isn't easy to project where the competitive landscape will settle over the long term, but Affirm appears to have the necessary ingredients to land among the winners. For patient investors, the recent drop could prove to be a solid buying opportunity in hindsight.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":435,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":146846078,"gmtCreate":1626070036994,"gmtModify":1703752746450,"author":{"id":"4087439987071390","authorId":"4087439987071390","name":"shika","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/2703029b3560eb0f973ab0afce30dedb","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4087439987071390","idStr":"4087439987071390"},"themes":[],"htmlText":".. An increasing need for EVcharging technologyis set to benefit a raft of global stocks, according to the bank, including semiconductor and Big Oil companies, as well as auto suppliers.\nBank of America analysts led by Harry Wyburd flagged a rapid rise in ownership of electric vehicles, with EVs on Europe’s roads up 100% since pre-Covid.\nIn a research note published last week, they wrote: “Our updated charger forecasts see c. [circa] $80bn of potential charging infrastructure investment by 2040E [estimate].”\nThe bank estimates there are currently around nine public charging points per 100 electric vehicles in Europe and expects the number to rise as more of the cars hit the road. BofA also expects “significant” growth in home charging points, with around 60 million electric connectors by 2030.\nBofA’s stock picks include:\nSemiconductors\n“We estimate that power semiconductor demand related to charger deployments in Europe can increase from low tens of millions of US dollars per annum to c$50m per annum by 2025 and c$100m per annum by 2030,” the analysts stated, pickingInfineonandSTMicroas beneficiaries of this.\nOil majors\nBig Oil can create “significant value” from “shifting their equity story to Big Energy,” with more of a focus on decarbonization, according to BofA. Its analysts noted the shift was becoming more urgent for these companies, given shareholder pressure and the Hague District Court’sdemands for Shellto meet climate targets set out in the Paris Agreement.\nThe analysts pickedBP,ShellandTotaland said: “We believe EV charging will grow in importance in linking Big Oil’s existing Marketing footprints (including global brand recognition and backing from their commodity trading desks) with Big Oils’ expansion into electricity supply.”\nAuto suppliers\nValeomakes parts for EVs of all sizes as well as a range of charging components for the likes ofVWand Mercedes. It is buy-rated by BofA, which noted that its joint venture withSiemensnow has around a 40% market share of the high voltage charging sector.\nMetals and mining\nCopper producerAntofagastaand minerBolidenare buy-rated picks for BofA, with copper likely to be a key part of EV chargers as well as inside the vehicle. “New technologies such as renewables, energy storage and electric vehicles that are gaining traction have one thing in common: they require a set of commodities we define as MIFTs, or metals important for future technologies,” BofA’s analysts wrote.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":138,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"hots":[{"id":172976774,"gmtCreate":1626931473998,"gmtModify":1703480831373,"author":{"id":"4087439987071390","authorId":"4087439987071390","name":"shika","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/2703029b3560eb0f973ab0afce30dedb","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4087439987071390","authorIdStr":"4087439987071390"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"?","listText":"?","text":"?","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":6,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/172976774","repostId":"1146624774","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":491,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":173773879,"gmtCreate":1626691500591,"gmtModify":1703763419161,"author":{"id":"4087439987071390","authorId":"4087439987071390","name":"shika","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/2703029b3560eb0f973ab0afce30dedb","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4087439987071390","authorIdStr":"4087439987071390"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"??","listText":"??","text":"??","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":6,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/173773879","repostId":"1111084715","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1111084715","pubTimestamp":1626649255,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1111084715?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-07-19 07:00","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Netflix, AT&T, Snap, Chipotle, Twitter, and Other Stocks for Investors to Watch This Week","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1111084715","media":"Barrons","summary":"Second-quarter earnings season picks up this week, as 76 S&P 500 companies are scheduled to report. The rich valuations happen because they tend to outperform the broader market on the back of disruptive products and services that may fuel rapid long-term growth.
\n
Not surprisingly, the average price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 Index stands at 38.4 as compared to the Dow Jones Industrial Average's average P/E ratio of 26.3 and the S&P 500's average multiple of 36.6.
\n
However, there are a few tech companies that continue to trade at attractive valuations despite crushing the broader market. Qorvo (NASDAQ:QRVO) and Jabil (NYSE:JBL) are two stocks that have made investors significantly richer over the past five years.
\n

\n
QRVO data by YCharts
\n
For example, a $1,000 investment in Qorvo five years ago would be worth almost $3,100 now. A similar investment in Jabil would be worth close to $2,700 now. The good part is that both companies could at least equal, if not outperform, their stellar gains in the coming years. Let's take a look at the reasons why it still makes sense to invest $1,000 in these tech stocks.
\n
Qorvo: Riding the 5G wave
\n
Qorvo is benefiting from multiple hot tech trends right now, but its biggest catalyst remains the 5G smartphone market. The chipmaker's revenue in fiscal 2021 (which ended on April 3) shot up 24% year over year to $4.02 billion. It finished the year with a gross profit margin of 46.9%, up substantially over the prior year's figure of 40.8%.
\n
Qorvo credited the \"higher demand for our 5G mobile solutions, 5G base station products, and Wi-Fi products\" for this impressive showing. The good news is that all these verticals are still in their early phases of growth. For instance, 5G smartphone shipments are expected to jump from an estimated 239 million units in 2020 to 1.12 billion units by 2025, according to Taiwan-based Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute.
\n

\n
\n
With Qorvo getting just over 71% of its total revenue from the mobile products segment last quarter, the 5G smartphone boom is going to move the needle significantly for the company. After all, the chipmaker supplies its wireless components to the leading players in the 5G smartphone space, including Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL). The iPhone maker produced 30% of Qorvo's total revenue last fiscal year.
\n
This sizable reliance on Apple is a good thing for Qorvo as the tech giant is on fire in the 5G smartphone era. The iPhone 12 has been a runaway hit among consumers looking to make the move to a 5G device from their older iPhones, and there are at least 800 million customers in Apple's installed base that have yet to make the move to 5G. As a result, Apple is going to be a long-term catalyst for Qorvo's mobile business thanks to the massive iPhone volume opportunity at hand.
\n
Its relationship with other smartphone OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) such as Samsung and Xiaomi will also come in handy in the long run, as these companies are dominant players in the 5G smartphone market along with Apple.
\n
More importantly, the improved 5G smartphone volumes will help Qorvo generate faster revenue and earnings growth. That's because the radio-frequency (RF) content in mid-range 5G smartphones is doubling over their 4G predecessors, while high-end devices are witnessing an additional $5 to $7 in wireless content.
\n
Thanks to the 5G tailwind, Qorvo is anticipated to record 16% annual earnings growth for the next five years, up from the 6% annual growth seen in the last five years. This makes it an attractive growth stock to buy right now at 29.7 times trailing earnings, which is lower than the Nasdaq 100 Index's rich multiple we saw earlier.
\n
Jabil: Diverse growth drivers should lead to better times
\n
Jabil has made a fine comeback this year after the novel coronavirus pandemic derailed the company's growth in 2020. The contract electronics manufacturer delivered a solid third-quarter earnings report in June, recording 14% year-over-year revenue growth to $7.2 billion. Non-GAAP earnings had shot up to $1.30 per share during the quarter from $0.37 per share a year ago.
\n
Even better, Jabil upgraded its full-year guidance on the back of impressive momentum in the cloud, mobility, semiconductor, automotive, and connected devices markets. These end markets are on track to grow nicely for Jabil this year and beyond.
\n
In mobility, for instance, Jabil expects $4.1 billion in revenue this fiscal year, up 24% over fiscal 2020. That's not surprising as 20% of the company's total revenue comes from manufacturing casings for Apple's iPhone and iPad. We have already seen that Apple's 5G iPhones are selling like hotcakes, and they can keep doing so thanks to an upgrade supercycle that's currently playing out. This should rub off positively on Jabil's prospects as well since it has a close relationship with Apple.
\n
However, Jabil draws its revenue from a wider number of verticals. The automotive and transportation segment, for example, is expected to deliver $2.2 billion in revenue this year, up 29% from last year. This business seems to have solid long-term potential as the global automotive contract manufacturing space is expected to clock 7.2% annual growth through 2027, according to a third-party estimate.
\n
Similarly, Jabil provides contract manufacturing services to connected device manufacturers, semiconductor capital equipment makers, cloud computing customers, and networking and storage providers, among others. Grand View Research estimates that the global contract electronics manufacturing market could be worth $800 billion by 2027 as compared to $417 billion at the end of 2019.
\n
Not surprisingly, Jabil's bottom line is expected to grow at nearly 20% per year for the next five years, as it seems to be on track to take advantage of the huge end-market opportunity that lies ahead. And now would be a great time to buy this tech stock as it is trading at just 14 times trailing earnings, which makes it way cheaper than the indexes discussed earlier. What's more, Jabil's forward earnings multiple of just 9.3 makes it even more attractive, giving investors another great reason to consider putting $1,000 in the stock.
","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Got $1,000? These end markets are on track to grow nicely for Jabil this year and beyond.\nIn mobility, for instance, Jabil expects $4.1 billion in revenue this fiscal year, up 24% over fiscal 2020. That's not surprising as 20% of the company's total revenue comes from manufacturing casings for Apple's iPhone and iPad. We have already seen that Apple's 5G iPhones are selling like hotcakes, and they can keep doing so thanks to an upgrade supercycle that's currently playing out. This should rub off positively on Jabil's prospects as well since it has a close relationship with Apple.\nHowever, Jabil draws its revenue from a wider number of verticals. The automotive and transportation segment, for example, is expected to deliver $2.2 billion in revenue this year, up 29% from last year. This business seems to have solid long-term potential as the global automotive contract manufacturing space is expected to clock 7.2% annual growth through 2027, according to a third-party estimate.\nSimilarly, Jabil provides contract manufacturing services to connected device manufacturers, semiconductor capital equipment makers, cloud computing customers, and networking and storage providers, among others. Grand View Research estimates that the global contract electronics manufacturing market could be worth $800 billion by 2027 as compared to $417 billion at the end of 2019.\nNot surprisingly, Jabil's bottom line is expected to grow at nearly 20% per year for the next five years, as it seems to be on track to take advantage of the huge end-market opportunity that lies ahead. And now would be a great time to buy this tech stock as it is trading at just 14 times trailing earnings, which makes it way cheaper than the indexes discussed earlier. What's more, Jabil's forward earnings multiple of just 9.3 makes it even more attractive, giving investors another great reason to consider putting $1,000 in the stock.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":189,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":178095186,"gmtCreate":1626770466945,"gmtModify":1703764864587,"author":{"id":"4087439987071390","authorId":"4087439987071390","name":"shika","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/2703029b3560eb0f973ab0afce30dedb","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4087439987071390","authorIdStr":"4087439987071390"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow","listText":"Wow","text":"Wow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/178095186","repostId":"1117620888","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1117620888","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Stock Market Quotes, Business News, Financial News, Trading Ideas, and Stock Research by Professionals","home_visible":0,"media_name":"Benzinga","id":"1052270027","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/d08bf7808052c0ca9deb4e944cae32aa"},"pubTimestamp":1626769963,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1117620888?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2021-07-20 16:32","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Economic Data Scheduled For Tuesday","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1117620888","media":"Benzinga","summary":"Data on housing starts and permits for June will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET. Stocks are high, and going higher. The gains we’re seeing now are the current extension of a long-term trend – markets have been rising for several years, and their derailment during last year’s corona crisis appears, in hindsight, to have been blip more than anything else.\nAs President Kennedy said long ago, a rising tide lifts all boats – and right now, a savvy investor can find plenty of boats to jump on.\nSo let’s go find some of those rising boats. Using TipRanks' database, we locked in on three exciting growth names, according to the analyst community. Each analyst-backed ticker stands to notch more gains on top of its already impressive growth. Let's take a closer look.\nEvolent Health (EVH)\nWe’ll start in the healthcare industry, where Evolent Health is a service company to the medical providers. Evolent offers administrative and clinical service to the payers and providers in the healthcare system, working to push down costs while keeping up the quality of care. Evolent’s services include core administration, actuarial services, risk adjustment, pharmacy benefit management, medical and behavioral health integration, and an integrated technology platform to track it all efficiently.\nEvolent saw steep EPS losses at the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020, coinciding with the worst of the corona crisis – but losses have been moderating in recent quarters. For the most recent report, 1Q21, the company showed a 12-cent net loss per share – but that was much improved from the year-ago quarter’s EPS loss of 93 cents.\nDuring the first quarter, Evolent announced several new partnerships with healthcare providers, including a network of primary care clinics. The company’s platform currently has over 11.6 million patients’ data under management.\nEvolent shares have raced ahead 195% over the past 52 weeks, but would you believe it could go up another 35%? Truist analyst Sandy Draper does. The analyst rates EVH a Buy along with a $31 price target. (To watch Draper’s track record, click here)\n“We continue to believe EVH can grow its top line at 15%-20% annually and achieve positive EBITDA margin expansion. Recent wins including Florida Blue are driving growth this year and new wins in 1Q21 (including a large unnamed health plan) should drive growth in 2022. We think the current valuation does not reflect the improving growth dynamics and de-risked balance sheet,\" the 5-star analyst opined.\nDraper went on to enumerate several key advantages Evolent offers for market investors: “We view Evolent as a unique play on the transformative shift from the current fee for service environment to value based care in the U.S... We believe that Evolent is differentiated by its proprietary underlying technology platform called Identifi, expertise… and proven track record with existing customers.”\nOverall, this stock has 5 recent reviews on file, and they break down 4 to 1 in favor the Buys over the Hold. The shares are currently trading for $22.79 and have an average price target of $26.80, giving the stock an upside potential of ~18%. (See EVH stock analysis on TipRanks)\n\nNorthern Technologies International Corporation (NTIC)\nOur modern world has given us a wealth of technologies and products that have improved our lives – and also brought along a host of unwanted side effects in the form of corrosion and pollution. Northern Technologies is in the business of corrosion prevention, developing a line of products including packaging products and rust preventatives and removers. The products prevent waste, and encourage recycling by aiding the refurbishing and remanufacturing of engines and other industrial components.\nNTIC has been selling its proprietary ZERUST products and services to the automotive, electronics, electrical, mechanical, military and retail consumer markets for over 40 years, and over the past few years has targeted and expanded into the oil and gas industry.\nMeanwhile, NTIC’s Natur-Tec line has been in the news recently, winning a ‘Masters of Innovation’ award and getting additional notice for its line of biodegradable plastic substitutes.\nThe company recently reported its financial results for fiscal 3Q, ending March 31 of this year. The report showed a 58% yoy net sales increase, to $15.4 million, for a new company record. EPS was also positive, at 21 cents, and far above the 11-cent loss reported in the year-ago quarter.\n2021 has been kind to NTIC, to say the least. Since the year kicked off, shares have skyrocketed 75%.\nNTIC's solid performance has caught the eye of Northland analyst Gus Richard, who sees the company in a sound position, with demand recovering and production ramping back up.\n\"Over time we believe there is a lot of earnings growth from ZERUST Oil & Gas. In addition, in the fall as re-opening continues NTIC's NaturTec compostable plastic business will continue to recover. ZERUST is above pre-pandemic levels demand likely flattens out in FY22,\" the analyst noted.\nTo this end, Richard rates NTIC a Buy along with a $24 price target that indicates confidence in ~31% growth for the months ahead. (To watch Richard’s track record, click here)\nRichard’s is the only review currently on file for NTIC shares, which are priced at $18.27. (See NTIC stock analysis on TipRanks)\n\nLands’ End, Inc. (LE)\nFor the last stock on this list, we’ll shift gears and look at retail. Founded in Chicago and now based in Wisconsin, Lands’ End is a well-known name in mail order and online sales – although it does operate a network of brick-and-mortar stores. The company deals mainly in casual clothing, footwear, and home products and accessories.\nIn May of this year, Lands’ End officially launched its 3rd party seller platform, Lands’ End Marketplace. The platform had been soft-launched for beta testing in June of last year, and showed promise for quick expansion. Marketplace will expand the range of products offered through Lands’ End, while allowing 3rd party customers take advantage of Lands’ End’s established customer service and support.\nTurning to the financials, Lands’ End reported strong yoy gains in revenue and EPS in the first quarter of this year. The 1Q21 report showed $321.3 million in net revenue, up 48% from the year before; the company’s global e-commerce grew by 44.4% to $260 million. The company’s net income was $2.6 million, or 8 cents per share. This was a dramatic turnaround from the steep loss of $20.6 million reported in 1Q20.\nDuring the past 12 months, while Lands’ End’s revenues and earnings were making strong yoy gains, the company’s shares appreciated an astounding 398%. Yet, Craig-Hallum analyst Alex Fuhrman believes the stock has a bit more room to grow.\n\"We think there is considerable opportunity for upside to estimates in the back half of the year as millions of Americans return to their workplaces for the first time in more than a year, setting up an unprecedented rewardrobing event. Lands’ End has a wide assortment office-appropriate clothes, and should generally benefit from a pandemic-accelerated shift in workplace fashion towards more comfortable, casual attire,\" Fuhrman wrote.\nThe analyst added, \"Looking to the balance of 2021 and beyond, we envision continued e-commerce growth, as 2020’s growth was likely the result of market share gains from brick and mortar foes rather than 'pantry loading,' while the retail and uniforms channels have potential for substantial growth ahead.\"\nBased on the above, Fuhrman rates LE a Buy along with a $50 price target. This figure implies ~20% growth over the next 12 months. (See LE stock analysis on TipRanks)\nLE has slipped under most analysts’ radar; Fuhrman is the only bull in the picture right now.
