A $5.28 million bullish call spread and a $5.11 million long straddle-like structure dominated the session, overwhelmingly pointing to expectations for a significant upside breakout as bullish flow outstripped bearish activity by nearly eight to one.

>>>Click to claim your commission-free cards before trading!

Options Indicators

INTC’s implied volatility stands at 71.55%, while its IV percentile is 54.98%, which places current volatility in a neutral historical range rather than an extreme one. In other words, although the absolute IV level is high, relative to its own recent history options are not especially cheap or especially expensive. The IV/HV ratio of 0.90 suggests implied volatility is running slightly below realized volatility, indicating current option pricing is fairly balanced with a mild tendency toward underpricing versus recent actual movement. The Call/Put volume ratio is 1.57.

Large Trades

A bullish call spread with a net debit of $5.28 million was the largest displayed trade, combining the purchase of 2,000 Dec. 17, 2027 $25 calls and the sale of 2,000 Dec. 18, 2026 $50 calls. This is a net-debit bullish structure, indicating the trader paid premium to position for upside while partially offsetting cost through the short call leg. With both strikes in the money versus the $104.56 reference stock price, the trade looks like a directional bullish bet that still imposes a capped upside profile, suggesting conviction in further appreciation but with a preference for cost efficiency over outright call buying.

A $5.11 million net-debit two-leg CALL+PUT purchase was the second highlighted trade, consisting of bought Jan. 15, 2027 $110 puts and bought Jan. 15, 2027 $110 calls, 1,250 contracts each. With the put in the money and the call out of the money relative to the current stock price, this is effectively a long volatility strangle-like directional-neutral setup centered around the same strike, where the trader pays premium on both sides in anticipation of a large move rather than simple premium collection. While it does not express a clean bullish or bearish view on its own, it signals expectations for elevated future price movement and can also serve as event-driven hedging around a potentially volatile longer-dated outlook.

Overall, large-trade sentiment in INTC was clearly bullish, with $51.98 million of bullish flow versus $6.59 million of bearish flow, for a net bullish difference of $45.39 million. The directional judgment is decisively positive: the order flow was dominated by bullish premium deployment, especially through structured bullish spreads and additional upside call activity, while bearish activity was comparatively limited and secondary in size. Even with some volatility-seeking or hedging positions present, the aggregate pattern points to institutions leaning toward further upside in INTC rather than preparing for sustained downside.

Strategy Reference

For a conservative income approach, selling the out-of-the-money Dec. 2026 $50 put, currently deep in-the-money, carries a high assignment probability given the bullish structure; a lower-risk alternative could be selling a far OTM put like the $75 strike, which aligns with the prevailing bullish flow while offering a wider margin of safety.

","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Option Focus | Intel's $5.28 Million Bullish Call Spread and $5.11 Million Long Straddle Signal Institutional Conviction for a Major Upside Breakout
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nOption Focus | Intel's $5.28 Million Bullish Call Spread and $5.11 Million Long Straddle Signal Institutional Conviction for a Major Upside Breakout\n
\n\n
\n\n\n\n\n\n

\n\n
\n
Option Witch
\n
2026-08-14 07:00
\n
\n\n\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n

Intel Corporation closed at USD 104.56, up 3.58%.

A surge of institutional conviction swept through Intel's options market, with two massive trades totaling over $10.39 million in premium. Even with some volatility-seeking or hedging positions present, the aggregate pattern points to institutions leaning toward further upside in INTC rather than preparing for sustained downside.Strategy ReferenceFor a conservative income approach, selling the out-of-the-money Dec. 2026 $50 put, currently deep in-the-money, carries a high assignment probability given the bullish structure; a lower-risk alternative could be selling a far OTM put like the $75 strike, which aligns with the prevailing bullish flow while offering a wider margin of safety.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"FTXL":1,"BLSG":1,"BLSH":1,"INTC":1,"AIS":1,"XNTK":1,"BLSX":1,"LINT":1,"QQQA":1,"CNAV":1,"RSEE":1,"QQQP":1,"OWNB":1,"INTW":1,"JULD":1,"CHPS":1,"AIQ":1,"LEGR":1,"TTEQ":1,"SOXX":1,"SINTCmain":1,"DRIV":1}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":24,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":352849976545560,"gmtCreate":1727154121483,"gmtModify":1727155500525,"author":{"id":"4090094741799790","authorId":"4090094741799790","name":"Sivakumarsub","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4090094741799790","idStr":"4090094741799790"},"themes":[],"title":"","htmlText":"How much is vista corp share price","listText":"How much is vista corp share price","text":"How much is vista corp share price","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/352849976545560","repostId":"2469148776","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"2469148776","kind":"highlight","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Dow Jones publishes the world’s most trusted business news and financial information in a variety of media.","home_visible":0,"media_name":"Dow Jones","id":"106","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/150f88aa4d182df19190059f4a365e99"},"pubTimestamp":1727153627,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2469148776?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2024-09-24 12:53","market":"sg","language":"en","title":"Nvidia's Stock Is No Longer the S&P 500's Top Gainer This Year.

That's an impressive feat for an electricity company that's hardly a household name.

Through Friday's close, shares of Vistra were up 180% on the year, while shares of Nvidia were up 134%. Shares of Constellation Energy Corp, another play on nuclear power, ranked third with a 118% year-to-date gain.

What's fueling the big moves in Vistra and Constellation shares lately? Investors are upbeat about their nuclear-power businesses in the artificial-intelligence era. In general, Wall Street is paying more attention to the vast power requirements of data centers and the ways that technology companies could increasingly turn to clean energy as a means of solving their power needs.

That was on full display Friday, when Constellation announced that it signed a 20-year power-purchase agreement with Microsoft Corp. Through the arrangement, Constellation plans to restart a nuclear reactor at Third Mile Island, though not the reactor that partly melted down in a 1979 accident.

Jefferies analyst Paul Zimbardo wrote that the deal between Constellation and Microsoft "has very positive sector ramifications, confirming the data-center thesis and broadening the range of opportunities for nukes."

At the same time, he noted that the deal has some unique characteristics, including what Microsoft is likely to pay for power. "It remains to be seen but there are not many that can afford that price point in scale," he said in a note to clients.

Guggenheim's Shahriar Pourreza added that "the hyperscaler demand for clean megawatts is real." And Mizuho's Maheep Mandloi said the arrangement "points to the need for 24×7 clean energy to meet data center needs."

Meanwhile, Jefferies launched coverage of Vistra shares earlier in the month, saying that "contracting nuclear capacity to data centers could yield substantial upside," even though he said it was still complicated to determine the true magnitude of the potential upside.

Additionally, Jefferies made the case that the company isn't just a data-center play. Vistra stands to benefit from "the general increase in power and capacity prices, higher plant utilization, as well as potential above-market contracts with data centers," Jefferies analyst Julien Dumoulin-Smith wrote at the time.

The strong rally in Vistra shares so far this year could deny Nvidia shares a back-to-back stint as the S&P 500's top annual performer, though there's still plenty of market action left in the year. Nvidia shares finished as the biggest gainer in the S&P 500 for 2023.
