It helped investors shrug off concerns over thousands of flight cancellations and <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/AAPL\">Apple</a> Inc(AAPL.O)shutting its <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/NWY\">New York</a> stores due to surging cases, and put U.S. stocks on pace for monthly gains.</p>\n<p>\"This is a holiday-shortened week.
