The three cruise ship giants in Royal Caribbean(NYSE:RCL), Carnival(NYSE:CCL), and Norwegian Cruise Line(NYSE:NCLH) have all seen their shares tumble in recent days. Adding to their woes, the Centers for Disease Control came out with a warning to “avoid cruise travel, regardless of vaccination status.”

According to recent reports, 90 cruise ships have reported coronavirus cases. Moreover, roughly 5,000 cases have emerged from cruise shipssailing from Dec. 15-29 last year. In contrast, only 162 cases were reported during the first weeks of December.

The big three cruise operators lost a lot of money in 2020and continued struggle last year. Moreover, their outlook looks murky at this stage for 2022, which is why it’s best to avoid them. Having said that, let’s look at these cruise stocks in a little more detail to understand the bear case.

Carnival (NYSE:CCL)

Royal Caribbean Cruises (NYSE:RCL)

Norwegian Cruise Line (NYSE:NCLH)

Cruise Stocks To Sell: Carnival (CCL)

Most investors will have thought that with Carnival’s amazing second-half booking performance, the worst of the pandemic was over. However, cancellations have increased significantly, with omicron on the rise, and bookings have dropped for the operator. Load factors are below historical levels for the first half of 2022, which will continue to pressure the company’s financial flexibility.

Perhaps the biggest problem for Carnival is its massive debt load.It tripled its debt during the pandemic, significantly more than its peers. Moreover, with the lack of revenue, it burns $2 billion per quarter. Its debt is roughly 2.2 times its equity, which is more than 410% higher than its 10-year median.

It’s clear that Carnival will have a heck of a time deleveraging its balance sheet and reinstating dividends in the next few years. Despite this, CCL stock trades at a whopping 12.8 times sales.

Royal Caribbean Cruises (RCL)

Similar to its peers, Royal Caribbean Cruises’ debt load has virtually crippled its flexibility. With a colossal debt balance of over $20 billion and accompanying interest expenses, RCL’s cash flow generation will be severely impeded for the foreseeable future. Additionally, it will have to issue more equity and debt to maintain its operations.

Currently, RCL is burning through more than $1 billion in cash flow annually. Moreover, as per its recent quarter, revenues were down 85.7% from the prior-year period. Future free cash flows are likely to be gobbled up by debt and interest payments.

With omicron wreaking havoc, a top-line recovery seems unlikely at this point, but RCL stock still trades at an unfathomable valuation. The stock is exceptionally overvalued with a price-to-sales multiple of more than 34x.

Cruise Stocks To Sell: Norwegian Cruise Line (NCLH)

Norwegian Cruise Lines plans to return to full capacity by April this year. However, with recent developments, that seems unlikely at this juncture. It ended its third quarter with a debt load of $10.5 billion, a massive increase from the $6 billion on its books before the coronavirus crisis.

Furthermore, during the third quarter, the company burned through $825 million in losses. This includes $161 million in interest expenses. Additionally, its average cash burn during the third quarter came in at $275 million. That number is expected to rise to $350 million, driven primarily by relaunches of additional vessels. Moreover, the cruise operator has multiple projects in the pipeline, which will require a boatload of debt for it to take up.

Capital expenditures are expected to be over $4 billion for 2022 and 2023, and close to $500 million for maintaining its existing fleet. Naturally, these massive capital expenditures will dilute shareholders and put more pressure on the company’s balance sheet.

","source":"lsy1606302653667","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
3 Cruise Stocks That Could Be Torpedoed by the CDC’s Latest Warning
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n3 Cruise Stocks That Could Be Torpedoed by the CDC’s Latest Warning\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2022-01-12 13:38 GMT+8 InvestorPlace\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
The omicron Covid-19 variant has taken its toll on cruise stocks. These companies have managed to continue raising their dividends through several market crashes and bear markets, from Black Monday in 1987 through the COVID-19 pandemic now. The three Dividend Kings I will talk about below are also banks and insurance companies, which tend to be good hedges against inflation.

1. Cincinnati Financial Corporation

With nearly $30 billion in assets, Cincinnati Financial Corporation (NASDAQ:CINF) is mainly a property and casualty insurer that does business in 45 U.S. states as well as some business in London. More than $23 billion of Cincinnati Financial's assets are invested in fixed maturity investments and equity securities. Cincinnati's equities portfolio is impacted by changes in market prices and the company's largest equity holding is Apple, so a higher-rate environment may not be so great for some stocks in the portfolio.

But the equities portfolio is also concentrated with sectors that hedge inflation better, like financials and energy. Also, as management noted in the company's recent regulatory filing, a 1% instantaneous move in short- and long-term interest rates would grow the fair value of the company's fixed-maturity portfolio by nearly 5%, and enable the company to invest cash flow in securities with higher yields. Cincinnati Financial has now raised its dividend for 61 straight years and has a respectable dividend yield of 2.2%.

2. Commerce Bancshares

Commerce Bancshares (NASDAQ:CBSH) is a nearly $34.5 billion asset bank based in Kansas City, Missouri. This regional bank runs a good business, generating a return on average common equity of more than 16% through the first nine months of the year and a 1.65% return on average assets in the same time period. Return on equity shows the technical profit the bank generated on shareholders' equity, with a 10% return considered strong for most banks. Return on assets shows how well management used assets to generate profits, with a 1% return considered strong.

In its latest quarterly regulatory filing for the third quarter, management estimates that a gradual 1% rise in interest rates over the next year would result in more than a 5% bump in net interest income over the next year, which is what the bank makes on loans and securities after covering its cost of funding. Commerce has increased its dividend for 53 straight years and has a dividend yield of nearly 1.5%, which is probably better than it sounds considering the bank trades at more than 250% its tangible book value (what a bank would be worth if it were liquidated). That's a very strong valuation for a bank stock.

3. Farmers & Merchants Bancorp

With the smallest market cap of the three at roughly $758 million, Farmers & Merchants Bancorp (OTC:FMCB) has roughly $5.1 billion in assets and is based in Northern and Central California. This is another strong-performing bank with a return on equity of nearly 15.4% through the first nine months of 2021 and a return on assets of nearly 1.4%. This company is not as sensitive to interest rate moves as the other two, but will still benefit a little bit. These companies have managed to continue raising their dividends through several market crashes and bear markets, from Black Monday in 1987 through the COVID-19 pandemic now. The three Dividend Kings I will talk about below are also banks and insurance companies, which tend to be good hedges against inflation.1. Cincinnati Financial CorporationWith nearly $30 billion in assets, Cincinnati Financial Corporation (NASDAQ:CINF) is mainly a property and casualty insurer that does business in 45 U.S. states as well as some business in London. Cincinnati Financial has now raised its dividend for 61 straight years and has a respectable dividend yield of 2.2%.2. Commerce BancsharesCommerce Bancshares (NASDAQ:CBSH) is a nearly $34.5 billion asset bank based in Kansas City, Missouri. That's a very strong valuation for a bank stock.3. Farmers & Merchants BancorpWith the smallest market cap of the three at roughly $758 million, Farmers & Merchants Bancorp (OTC:FMCB) has roughly $5.1 billion in assets and is based in Northern and Central California. This is another strong-performing bank with a return on equity of nearly 15.4% through the first nine months of 2021 and a return on assets of nearly 1.4%. This company is not as sensitive to interest rate moves as the other two, but will still benefit a little bit. Because it trades on the over-the-counter exchange, Farmers & Merchants is also not as liquid as the other two stocks mentioned above. But the company performs well, the stock has a dividend yield of nearly 1.6%, and the bank has increased its dividend for 56 straight years.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":269,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9085252217,"gmtCreate":1650715759158,"gmtModify":1676534781387,"author":{"id":"4102367424590190","authorId":"4102367424590190","name":"VarshyBoo","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4102367424590190","authorIdStr":"4102367424590190"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"yes","listText":"yes","text":"yes","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9085252217","repostId":"2229167207","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2229167207","kind":"highlight","pubTimestamp":1650679337,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2229167207?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-04-23 10:02","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Netflix Stumbles and Disney Takes Heat. The company has convinced 222 million customers worldwide to hand it an average of nearly $12 apiece each month -- no small feat.

It did that by creating a peerless streaming experience, reinventing how movies and shows are enjoyed, and, OK, burning through $9 billion over the past seven years to give customers more Hollywood pizazz than they were paying for.

That last part sounds like a bad thing, but if investors are rewarding you with an endlessly climbing stock price and cut-rate debt, you give them what they want: rapid subscriber growth. During the pandemic, tens of millions joined Netflix (ticker: NFLX) even as price increases took hold. Studio production froze for a while, lowering costs. Free cash flow turned solidly positive, until the company committed itself to billions more in content spending.

Meanwhile, we got way ahead of ourselves on the stock, at one moment in November bidding it up to $700. By "we" I mean not me, because I didn't buy the stock, but really, me a little, because I contribute to an index fund that mindlessly scoops it up at any price. Anyhow, that was a nutty price, briefly valuing the company at $318 billion. At the time, 2024 free cash flow was pegged at $5.6 billion -- a highly theoretical number that was based on the belief that scale would overtake spending, allowing Netflix to turn on the profitability.

But then Netflix's subscriber growth slowed to a trickle during the fourth quarter, and this past week we learned that it turned slightly negative in the first quarter. It's still positive if we adjust for turning off service to Russia, but not by nearly enough to justify the stock price. Anyway, Netflix predicts greater subscriber losses during the second quarter. Shares fell to $216.

The key here for the tempted is to not get Ackman-ed. Hedge fund investor Bill Ackman spent more than $1 billion on Netflix after the January plunge at what he called an "attractive valuation." Then he sold this past week at a $400 million loss, writing to shareholders that growth has gotten "extremely difficult to predict." He also wrote that he wouldn't be surprised if Netflix ended up being an excellent investment from here -- hedgies are going to hedge.

Netflix has a plan to return to growth. It estimates that there are 100 million viewers free-riding off shared passwords. If you're logging on to BoJackHorseman1980's guest profile to avoid putting up $10 a month for a basic account, I'm guessing you're a price-sensitive consumer, and those are worth good money to advertisers. So, Netflix plans to add a lower-priced tier with commercials.

That's a sensible plan, says Tim Nollen at Macquarie Research, who pulled a reverse-Ackman by presciently downgrading Netflix to Underperform from Neutral after its January report. Discovery+, for one, has shown that cheap streaming plans with ads can bring in higher average revenue per user than pricier plans without ads. But Netflix says the shift will take up to two years. Maybe it's just setting beatable expectations, but creating an ad business is also a lot of work, says Nollen. "You don't just hire a salesperson and start doing it," he says. "There's a lot more infrastructure and technological capability and data management and all sorts of things that you have to do."

That $5.6 billion forecast in November for Netflix's 2024 free cash flow has now been trimmed to $3.5 billion, and it remains theoretical, but plenty feasible, in light of the company's current revenue base of around $30 billion a year. Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD), the recent spinoff from AT&T $(T)$ that includes HBO Max, is expected to generate $3.8 billion in free cash this year on $12.6 billion in revenue. Nollen says to buy that one, but he's staying bearish on Netflix for now. "If I had a good sense that the inflection was coming," he says, "that would probably get me more interested in the stock."

Walt Disney is crushing it financially at its U.S. theme parks. And its streaming services are growing nicely. But its stock is the worst-performing member of the Dow Jones Industrial Average over the past year, losing 33%.

One reason is that Netflix's struggles have investors tempering their long-term expectations for streaming in general. Another is that Disney is spending richly on content, which has turned it for now into a thinly profitable growth company, and such companies tend to get marked down as interest rates rise.

There's also a Florida showdown. This past week, lawmakers there passed a measure to eliminate Disney World's longstanding right to effectively provide its own municipal services and oversight, which opens more questions on logistics and costs than it answers.

Disney, siding with upset workers, had run afoul of Florida's Republican lawmakers and governor by speaking out against a new law that restricts "instruction" on matters of sexual preference and gender identity to "age-appropriate" discussions in older grades. It also halted political contributions, which in Florida had gone mostly to Republicans.

Critics say the new law is vaguely worded and pretends to fix a problem that doesn't exist in order to sow political division. Fans say it combats "woke" overreach and gives parents more control over schooling.

J.P. Morgan says that stock gains from here could require "some relief of recent political headlines." BofA Securities says that a sum-of-the-parts analysis implies that Disney's streaming business is valued at a scant one times revenue.

I say...what do I say? That I'm a few more words away from a two-week vacation. If I had to choose between the falling knife of Netflix and what is suddenly the political hot potato of Disney, I'd grab the potato. But I'd be more inclined to keep my hands in my pockets until things cool off.

","source":"lsy1601382232898","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Netflix Stumbles and Disney Takes Heat. The shares have clearly been hit by shifting levels of concern over the pandemic. Yet the stock is still up about 12% in the past year, and the company commands a sizable market cap of $105 billion.

Investors might have some pause to buy the stock right now since it still sells at 63 times free cash flow. Yet, the company has a leading position in the travel industry, a history of robust growth, and results are rebounding strongly with revenue up 67% year over year in the third quarter.

Plus, it's got a large and expanding addressable market and is already showing signs of building a tremendously powerful brand. So even at these high levels, Airbnb could still turn a small investment into a big one. Let's dive deeper.

Breaking down the numbers

If you invested $10,000 in Airbnb stock, it would need to climb 100 times in value to reach $1 million. That's too much to ask for the next 10 years, but it's not unreasonable to expect Airbnb to deliver this amount if you could hold its shares over the next 30 years. That would represent an annualized return of about 16.5%. Not many companies can grow at this rate for that long, but if Airbnb can cement itself as the top brand in travel, it could be one of the few great businesses that make early investors into millionaires.

It's certainly addressing a large market -- an estimated $3.4 trillion globally each year. Short-term stays, like business trips and weekend getaways, make up about $1.8 trillion of the market with long-term stays and other experiences representing the balance. Long-term stays are a huge growth opportunity, given the increasing interest in remote work. This is why management expects the demand for long-term stays to accelerate coming out of the pandemic.

Airbnb still has just a fraction of that addressable market, giving it plenty of room for growth. Over the past year, the company's gross booking value came to $41 billion, or just a little over 1% of the total market. Moreover, the market is going to expand. Over the past decade, excluding the blip from the pandemic, travel spending has increased about 3% to 5% annually. If it continues to grow around 4% annually over the next 30 years, that would put Airbnb's addressable market at around $10 trillion.

Airbnb would need to capture more than a third of that opportunity to grow its gross booking value 100 times, and therefore also see a proportionate increase in revenue and profits, which is what ultimately makes a stock go up.

Keys to future growth

While it's nearly impossible to forecast exactly what a business will look like way out in the future, here are a few things that should build confidence in Airbnb's growth trajectory.

For one thing, it has a strong brand. Even if you have never used Airbnb, you likely know a friend or family member who has. After all, there were nearly 80 million nights and experiences booked on Airbnb in the third quarter. A strong brand will be key to capturing a sizable chunk of its addressable market.

Another good sign: management has been shifting its marketing strategy to be more brand-centric and less dependent on search engines. During the first quarter of 2021, over 90% of Airbnb's traffic came from customers seeking Airbnb directly as opposed to finding it through a marketing channel. That's a sign of growing brand awareness.

Competition is always a risk since new entrants might emerge down the road, forcing Airbnb to lower service fees to maintain demand and revenue growth. The shares have clearly been hit by shifting levels of concern over the pandemic. Yet the stock is still up about 12% in the past year, and the company commands a sizable market cap of $105 billion.Investors might have some pause to buy the stock right now since it still sells at 63 times free cash flow. Yet, the company has a leading position in the travel industry, a history of robust growth, and results are rebounding strongly with revenue up 67% year over year in the third quarter.Plus, it's got a large and expanding addressable market and is already showing signs of building a tremendously powerful brand. So even at these high levels, Airbnb could still turn a small investment into a big one. Let's dive deeper.Image source: Getty Images.Breaking down the numbersIf you invested $10,000 in Airbnb stock, it would need to climb 100 times in value to reach $1 million. This is why management expects the demand for long-term stays to accelerate coming out of the pandemic.Airbnb still has just a fraction of that addressable market, giving it plenty of room for growth. Over the past year, the company's gross booking value came to $41 billion, or just a little over 1% of the total market. Moreover, the market is going to expand. Over the past decade, excluding the blip from the pandemic, travel spending has increased about 3% to 5% annually. If it continues to grow around 4% annually over the next 30 years, that would put Airbnb's addressable market at around $10 trillion.Airbnb would need to capture more than a third of that opportunity to grow its gross booking value 100 times, and therefore also see a proportionate increase in revenue and profits, which is what ultimately makes a stock go up.Keys to future growthWhile it's nearly impossible to forecast exactly what a business will look like way out in the future, here are a few things that should build confidence in Airbnb's growth trajectory. For one thing, it has a strong brand. Even if you have never used Airbnb, you likely know a friend or family member who has. After all, there were nearly 80 million nights and experiences booked on Airbnb in the third quarter. A strong brand will be key to capturing a sizable chunk of its addressable market.Another good sign: management has been shifting its marketing strategy to be more brand-centric and less dependent on search engines. During the first quarter of 2021, over 90% of Airbnb's traffic came from customers seeking Airbnb directly as opposed to finding it through a marketing channel. That's a sign of growing brand awareness.Competition is always a risk since new entrants might emerge down the road, forcing Airbnb to lower service fees to maintain demand and revenue growth. But Airbnb is already widely recognized, which is a competitive advantage. Its name has nearly become a synonym for a place to stay -- similar to how \"Google\" replaced \"search.\"I believe Airbnb's record of growth from its humble beginnings in the co-founders' San Francisco apartment in 2007, the size of the travel opportunity, and its growing brand power point to a long-term winner. Images

Investment Thesis

In just over three weeks, the COVID situation in China has worsened dramatically. What started as a \"more controllable\" outbreak in Shenzhen has spiraled into full-blown lockdowns in Shanghai. As a result, China's manufacturing capacity and supply chains have been thrown into disarray. It has already affected its leading automakers, including Tesla (TSLA). The world's leading EV maker has suspended production at Giga Shanghai since the end of March, potentially losing 40K production units. But, Tesla was also reported to be resuming production from April 17 using a \"closed-loop\" system. However, full production cadence is unlikely to continue just yet.

Therefore, Alibaba (NYSE:BABA) has also been impacted. As a result, investors have turned fearful again, despite BABA stock's attractive valuation. In addition, the continued COVID lockdowns have affected supply chains and also crimped consumer spending. As a result, BABA's FQ4'22 (ending March 2022) would likely underperform. The Street also issued several downward revisions of BABA consensus price targets (PTs), which turned even more cautious of an H2'22 recovery.

Consequently, the dire COVID situation and worsening macroeconomic environment have spurred the Chinese government into action. China has promised to leverage targeted monetary policy actions and other measures to stimulate the economy. As a result, the Chinese Central Bank (PBOC) cut its reserve requirements (RRR) by 25 bps following its 50bps reduction in December. It's on top of a broad range of measures to bolster the economy.

Given the current challenges, we concur that our previous thesis of an H2'22 recovery looks increasingly unlikely. Therefore, we believe that Alibaba's malaise could extend by six to twelve months before bottoming.

As a result, the stock has also reacted accordingly, as BABA stock has fallen below $100 again. But, we believe that it's unlikely to revisit the $70+ levels in the near term. Therefore, we encourage investors to use the consolidation to add exposure in phases. As such, we reiterate our Buy rating on BABA stock.

China Resumed Its RRR Cut. But, Will It Be Enough?

Economists were expecting an RRR cut and a policy rate cut. However, the PBOC did not cut the policy rate while lowering the RRR by 25 bps. Still, the PBOC communicated that the RRR cut would unleash about $83B of \"long-term liquidity into the economy.\"

Notably, the 25 bps cut was also markedly lesser than the 50 bps cut in December. Therefore, the PBOC could be making more measured moves to maintain some leeway for further cuts if necessary. However, economists believe the interest rate hikes in the US have hindered the PBOC's ability to engage in more aggressive RRR reduction. Moreover, the central bank also accentuated that liquidity remains ample. Therefore the challenge is to deal with the near-term supply constraints impacting the economy now. Pinpoint Asset Management articulated (edited):

The main challenge the economy faces is the Omicron outbreaks and the lockdown policies that restrict mobility. More liquidity may help on the margin, but it doesn’t address the root of the problem. - Bloomberg

Therefore, China also instituted further policy measures to reduce borrowing costs. The PBOC urged its banks to cut their deposit rates by 10bps to reduce their commercial lending rates. Furthermore, the central bank also urged banks to continue lending to logistics companies hampered by the supply chain snarls to keep essential credit flowing.

Therefore, we are assuaged by the series of policy moves made by the government to support the economy through its worst COVID outbreak since March 2020. It's still too early to determine whether they would be effective. However, we think the government would continue to enact more measures if necessary.

Housing Decline Has Also Slowed Down

Keen Alibaba investors should be aware of the massive impact of weak consumer discretionary spending over the past year. In addition, the real estate market clampdown had significantly affected consumers' confidence as the government sought to rein in market speculation. However, the government has sought to ease the restraints on the property market, given the effectiveness of its policies. Therefore, it should be reassuring to learn that the effects of the policy easing have been felt meaningfully. Bloomberg reported (edited):

China’s home prices fell at a slower pace in March after authorities took further steps to prevent a worsening of a prolonged downturn in the real estate industry.

New home prices in 70 cities, excluding state-subsidized housing, slipped 0.07% last month from February when they dropped 0.13%. Values in the secondary market declined 0.19%, the slowest pace in six months. - Bloomberg

Furthermore, another report also demonstrated the government's commitment to counterbalance the weak housing market with massive infrastructure investments. The government has reportedly approved \"nearly 70%\" of infrastructure investments based on 2021's pipeline. Thus, we believe that the Chinese government is strengthening policy support broadly to spur its economy.

However, investors should note that these measures take time to percolate into the economy. But, markets are forward-looking. Therefore, we believe these measures should afford investors adequate confidence that BABA stock is unlikely to revisit its February/March lows.

But, Alibaba's Return To Profitability Could Be Further Delayed

Alibaba consensus estimates (S&P Capital IQ)

Alibaba low estimates (S&P Capital IQ)

Consequently, we weren't surprised as the Street downgraded Alibaba's estimates further. Analysts were justifiably concerned with the recovery of consumer discretionary spending. Before the resurgence of the series of lockdowns, we were confident that the recovery could see decent momentum from H2'22. However, given the recent circumstances, we think it's reasonable to expect a six- to twelve-month delay.

Notably, Alibaba's revenue and profitability estimates also vary widely, as seen above. The main contention over the estimates lies in FY23's metrics. The most conservative estimates suggest that Alibaba's adjusted EBIT margin could reach 5.7%, on revenue growth of 6.7% YoY. However, the average estimates suggest its adjusted EBIT margins to come in at 9.7%, on revenue growth of 14.2%. Still, the PBOC communicated that the RRR cut would unleash about $83B of \"long-term liquidity into the economy.\" Notably, the 25 bps cut was also markedly lesser than the 50 bps cut in December. Pinpoint Asset Management articulated (edited): The main challenge the economy faces is the Omicron outbreaks and the lockdown policies that restrict mobility. More liquidity may help on the margin, but it doesn’t address the root of the problem. - Bloomberg Therefore, China also instituted further policy measures to reduce borrowing costs. Housing Decline Has Also Slowed Down Keen Alibaba investors should be aware of the massive impact of weak consumer discretionary spending over the past year. Bloomberg reported (edited): China’s home prices fell at a slower pace in March after authorities took further steps to prevent a worsening of a prolonged downturn in the real estate industry. New home prices in 70 cities, excluding state-subsidized housing, slipped 0.07% last month from February when they dropped 0.13%. Values in the secondary market declined 0.19%, the slowest pace in six months. - Bloomberg Furthermore, another report also demonstrated the government's commitment to counterbalance the weak housing market with massive infrastructure investments. But, Alibaba's Return To Profitability Could Be Further Delayed Alibaba consensus estimates (S&P Capital IQ)Alibaba low estimates (S&P Capital IQ) Consequently, we weren't surprised as the Street downgraded Alibaba's estimates further.
