Christmas is close. which stocks would benefit?

Microsoft and Amazon. Will they continue torise?

caught in a downtrend is the worst especially if you are invested. This basically means your investment has shrunk. Missing a rally isok, your net position has not changed. Just missed an opportunity for growth. 

I have bought a rolex. It holds its value and is hence can be seen as an investment only if it is a limited edition product because it has rarity. Rolex is also good because it is a known brand.

I usually use a combination of RSI and 50day MA to select a stock to determine if it is oversold or not. But this only works if you also consider if the company has fundamental changes like going into liquidation or issuingrights. 

I recently loaded up on $Amazon.com(AMZN)$  The stock has been hammered recently but it has economies of scale and resilient books. Plus it has a diverse portfolio!

Meme stocks are based on hype. Always think about what is the business model and is it sustainable before buying. Because of hype, meme stocks will always go up, the question is when will it come down! and how far down! If you have insider knowledge on these, then go ahead and buy. Otherwise it is a gamble!

CPI will be up. and has been up about 6%. This is average news for the market, and it may respond up or down. If down, it is because more Fed Interest rates hikes are expected

Good companies are more important if you are holding for the long term. No matter how good the price is, the trend will be downwards if it is a bad company. But if you are a short term investor with a clear exit strategythen go for good price to make a quick buckbecause good companies need time for their stock to rise!
