There are more aristocrats than you might expect, with three broad U.S. indexes maintained by S&P Global.

Below is a screen of all three of the indexes to list the 10 U.S. Dividend Aristocrats with the highest yields.

On March 16, the Federal Open Market Committee released its policy statement following a two-day meeting and said the target range for the federal funds rate would increase to 0.25% to 0.50% from its previous range of zero to 0.25%.

The Federal Reserve Board and FOMC also released a set of economic projections, which included an estimated gross domestic product growth rate for 2022 of 2.8%, which was down from the previous 4% estimate in December.

During a press conference following the release of the FOMC statement, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell said the committee had "made progress" on a plan to reduce the central bank's balance sheet, which had ballooned during the coronavirus pandemic as the Fed made extraordinary purchases of government bonds and mortgage-backed securities, to increase the money supply and support the economy.

Powell said the FOMC would release details of that plan soon. Shrinking the balance sheet would reduce demand for bonds, possibly pushing long-term interest rates higher. As bond prices have declined, the yield on 10-year U.S. Treasury notes has increased to about 2.23% from 1.51% at the end of 2021.

In line with the Fed's prediction of slower economic growth, Jonathan Burton interviewed David Rosenberg, who predicts a recession this summer.

Old reliable -- S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats

Starting with the benchmark S&P 500 Index, the S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats Index is made up of companies that have increased their regular dividends on common shares for at least 25 consecutive years. That's the only criterion for inclusion as an Aristocrat -- it makes no differences how high the dividend yield might be.

The index is equal-weighted, rebalanced quarterly and reconstituted annually. It is tracked by the $9.6 billion ProShares S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats Pacer Swan SOS Fund of Funds ETF|ETF $(NOBL)$, which was established in 2013.

There are 65 S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats, with dividend yields ranging from 0.19% to 5.22%, based on closing prices March 15.

The idea of the Aristocrats isn't that the stocks will necessarily generate high income for investors. It is that the consistency of dividend increases might signal a commitment by companies' management teams to their shareholders and be an indicator for good performance over the long term. A commitment to continually raising the dividend might also provide comfort that a dividend won't be cut -- an action that is typically brutal for the share price as investors lose confidence.

A 15-year chart shows that S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrat have performed well against the full S&P 500:

FactSet

To be sure, the Aristocrats haven't outperformed for all periods. They lagged during the long bull market through 2021. Then again, they have fared better during the decline of 2022. Here's a look at this year's performance and average annual returns for various periods (all through March 15), with dividends reinvested:

Expanding the pool of Dividend Aristocrats

S&P Global actually maintains a large number of Dividend Aristocrat indexes and you can see the full list here, and a shorter list of Aristocrat indexes tracked by exchange-traded funds (which are also listed) here.

Many of the Aristocrat indexes cover non-U.S. markets. In this article we are focusing on the three broad U.S. Dividend Aristocrat indexes, which have varying criteria and some overlap:

The S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats Index, as described above, is made up of the 65 stocks in the benchmark S&P 500 that have raised regular dividends on common shares for at least 25 straight years. It is tracked by NOBL.

The S&P 400 Dividend Aristocrats Index has 48 stocks of companies that have raised dividends for at least 15 consecutive years, drawn from the full S&P Mid Cap 400 Index. It is tracked by the $1.1 billion ProShares S&P MidCap 400 Dividend Aristocrats ETF.

The S&P High Yield Dividend Aristocrats Index is made up of the 119 stocks in the S&P Composite 1500 Index that have increased dividends for at least 20 straight years. It is tracked by the $20.1 billion SPDR S&P Dividend ETF. The S&P Composite 1500 itself is made up of the S&P 500, the S&P Mid Cap 400 and the S&P 600 Small Cap Index. So the S&P High Yield Dividend Aristocrats Index includes all the stocks in the S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats Index. However, it excludes some that are in the S&P 400 Dividend Aristocrats Index. The name of the High Yield Dividend Aristocrats Index is confusing, because the yields, again, aren’t necessarily high — they range from 0.19% to 5.22%.

So there are three broad U.S. indexes of Dividend Aristocrats, with varying criteria. Then again, they are all labeled as Aristocrats, so we screened the entire group by listing all the component stocks and removing duplicates, for a pool of 135 companies.

Highest-yielding Dividend Aristocrats

From the full list of 135 companies in the three broad U.S. indexes of Dividend Aristocrat stocks, here are the 10 with the highest dividend yields:

","source":"lsy1603348471595","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; There are more aristocrats than you might expect, with three broad U.S. indexes maintained by S&P Global.Below is a screen of all three of the indexes to list the 10 U.S. Dividend Aristocrats with the highest yields. On March 16, the Federal Open Market Committee released its policy statement following a two-day meeting and said the target range for the federal funds rate would increase to 0.25% to 0.50% from its previous range of zero to 0.25%.The Federal Reserve Board and FOMC also released a set of economic projections, which included an estimated gross domestic product growth rate for 2022 of 2.8%, which was down from the previous 4% estimate in December.During a press conference following the release of the FOMC statement, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell said the committee had \"made progress\" on a plan to reduce the central bank's balance sheet, which had ballooned during the coronavirus pandemic as the Fed made extraordinary purchases of government bonds and mortgage-backed securities, to increase the money supply and support the economy.Powell said the FOMC would release details of that plan soon. Shrinking the balance sheet would reduce demand for bonds, possibly pushing long-term interest rates higher. As bond prices have declined, the yield on 10-year U.S. Treasury notes has increased to about 2.23% from 1.51% at the end of 2021.In line with the Fed's prediction of slower economic growth, Jonathan Burton interviewed David Rosenberg, who predicts a recession this summer.Old reliable -- S&P 500 Dividend AristocratsStarting with the benchmark S&P 500 Index, the S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats Index is made up of companies that have increased their regular dividends on common shares for at least 25 consecutive years. That's the only criterion for inclusion as an Aristocrat -- it makes no differences how high the dividend yield might be.The index is equal-weighted, rebalanced quarterly and reconstituted annually. It is tracked by the $9.6 billion ProShares S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats Pacer Swan SOS Fund of Funds ETF|ETF $(NOBL)$, which was established in 2013.There are 65 S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats, with dividend yields ranging from 0.19% to 5.22%, based on closing prices March 15.The idea of the Aristocrats isn't that the stocks will necessarily generate high income for investors. It is that the consistency of dividend increases might signal a commitment by companies' management teams to their shareholders and be an indicator for good performance over the long term. A commitment to continually raising the dividend might also provide comfort that a dividend won't be cut -- an action that is typically brutal for the share price as investors lose confidence.A 15-year chart shows that S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrat have performed well against the full S&P 500:FactSetTo be sure, the Aristocrats haven't outperformed for all periods. They lagged during the long bull market through 2021. Then again, they have fared better during the decline of 2022. Here's a look at this year's performance and average annual returns for various periods (all through March 15), with dividends reinvested:Expanding the pool of Dividend AristocratsS&P Global actually maintains a large number of Dividend Aristocrat indexes and you can see the full list here, and a shorter list of Aristocrat indexes tracked by exchange-traded funds (which are also listed) here. Many of the Aristocrat indexes cover non-U.S. markets. In this article we are focusing on the three broad U.S. Dividend Aristocrat indexes, which have varying criteria and some overlap:The S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats Index, as described above, is made up of the 65 stocks in the benchmark S&P 500 that have raised regular dividends on common shares for at least 25 straight years. It is tracked by NOBL.The S&P 400 Dividend Aristocrats Index has 48 stocks of companies that have raised dividends for at least 15 consecutive years, drawn from the full S&P Mid Cap 400 Index. It is tracked by the $1.1 billion ProShares S&P MidCap 400 Dividend Aristocrats ETF.The S&P High Yield Dividend Aristocrats Index is made up of the 119 stocks in the S&P Composite 1500 Index that have increased dividends for at least 20 straight years. The name of the High Yield Dividend Aristocrats Index is confusing, because the yields, again, aren’t necessarily high — they range from 0.19% to 5.22%.So there are three broad U.S. indexes of Dividend Aristocrats, with varying criteria. Then again, they are all labeled as Aristocrats, so we screened the entire group by listing all the component stocks and removing duplicates, for a pool of 135 companies.Highest-yielding Dividend AristocratsFrom the full list of 135 companies in the three broad U.S. indexes of Dividend Aristocrat stocks, here are the 10 with the highest dividend yields:","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":606,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9035976863,"gmtCreate":1647497870772,"gmtModify":1676534237850,"author":{"id":"4107159662881050","authorId":"4107159662881050","name":"JNJQ","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/2b74f829333cbddbdf0321fc7628f6b5","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4107159662881050","authorIdStr":"4107159662881050"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Gotta be patient with these","listText":"Gotta be patient with these","text":"Gotta be patient with these","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9035976863","repostId":"2219768133","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":159,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9036086729,"gmtCreate":1646950841590,"gmtModify":1676534179567,"author":{"id":"4107159662881050","authorId":"4107159662881050","name":"JNJQ","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/2b74f829333cbddbdf0321fc7628f6b5","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4107159662881050","authorIdStr":"4107159662881050"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Great ariticle, would you like to share it?","listText":"Great ariticle, would you like to share it?","text":"Great ariticle, would you like to share it?","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9036086729","repostId":"9038449075","repostType":1,"repost":{"id":9038449075,"gmtCreate":1646900568193,"gmtModify":1676534175035,"author":{"id":"3574381076586256","authorId":"3574381076586256","name":"KYHBKO","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/c3bcbc7f9a10836dea92afc94bf39b5b","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574381076586256","authorIdStr":"3574381076586256"},"themes":[],"title":"How I TRY TO manage my emotions for trading using VISA as an example","htmlText":"The biggest struggle I have when I trade is my emotions. You can't prevent them, but you can put yourself in a position to emerge stronger once they pass.","content":"

The stock market will crash again. It's not a question of whether, but rather when. Perhaps the biggest near-term risk is that high and still rising inflation might provide the push that causes the next major drop. How? Well, the Federal Reserve's expedited meeting scheduled for Monday might lead to faster and more aggressive tapering than the market already expects. That could cause a shift out of riskier assets like stocks, leading to a market correction.

Whether or not that particular scenario comes into play, the reality is that stocks can go down as well as up. If you recognize that and plan for it appropriately, you can make it through a mere market crash -- and emerge on the other side in a great spot to ride any subsequent recovery.

With that in mind, here are four reasons not to worry about a stock-market crash.

1. You don't need to sell your stocks today

As a general rule, you should not have money invested in stocks that you expect you'll need to spend within the next five years. If you have followed that guideline, it becomes much easier to stomach a market crash. It's still not fun, but you can make it through.

After all, if you don't need the money immediately, then you don't have to sell shares when they're low just to cover your bills. That gives you the chance to not only hold on through a crash, but also to potentially add more to strong companies while they're near their cheapest. The ability to buy low -- instead of selling low -- allows you to end up in a better spot once the crash passes.

2. You have emergency money stocked away, just in case

One of the bigger risks most people face when the market crashes isn't the crash itself, but rather the fact that a down market is often linked to job losses. Even if you fully intend to hold on to your stocks through a crash, if you find yourself without a paycheck and with no cash buffer, you could wind up needing to sell due to that job loss.

A three- to six-month emergency fund buys you time to both look for another job and figure out ways to cut costs before you feel forced to sell your shares. It's a buffer that can come in incredibly handy in a tough environment. It's also one of those things that you hope you'll never have to use -- but if you do, you'll be incredibly glad it's there when you need it.

3. You own strong companies that still pay their dividends

The beauty of a stock's dividend is that it tends to get paid based on the underlying company's ability to generate cash, rather than on the stock market's short-term mood. When companies continue to pay their dividends in a down market, that helps investors in a number of ways.

First, the cash itself can be used to buy more shares while they're down -- either of the company that paid the dividend, or of a different one that looks like a compelling value at a low price. That cash becomes available without you having to sell stock or somehow scaring up money from another source, which can be comforting if you're a bit nervous about the future.

Second, the fact that companies continue to make their payments from available cash flows can provide a calming effect for investors, even as the market appears to panic around them. After all, there's nothing quite like cold, hard cash to remind people that there's a business behind each stock. If a dividend is still supported and getting paid, it means there's still a successful company there, no matter what the stock price might say at the moment.

4. You have a value investor's mindset

Ultimately, a share of stock is an ownership stake in a business. If that business is currently profitable and expected to remain that way, each share is certainly worth something. Value investors recognize that a company's intrinsic worth is based on its ability to generate cash over time, and not simply on what the market thinks its shares should be priced at today.

As a result, a market crash can make great companies' shares available at a price below what those value investors believe they're really worth. That sort of pricing turns value investors into aggressive buyers during a crash, and it's a key part of the strategy that helped Warren Buffett earn and expand his fortune.

Especially when combined with the first three reasons not to worry about a stock-market crash, this fourth reason can actually give you an opportunity to profit from one. After all, if you've got the cash to ride out the decline and the wherewithal to buy near the lows, you have the opportunity to make some serious coin in any subsequent recovery.

Are you ready for the next crash?

While these four factors can help you make it through a market crash with much less worry, they all work much better if you have them in place before you need them. So start getting your plan in place today. That way, you'll be in a much better place the next time the market crashes.

","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
4 Reasons Not to Worry About a Stock Market Crash
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n4 Reasons Not to Worry About a Stock Market Crash\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2022-02-14 22:00 GMT+8 Motley Fool\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
The stock market will crash again. The ability to buy low -- instead of selling low -- allows you to end up in a better spot once the crash passes.2. You have emergency money stocked away, just in caseOne of the bigger risks most people face when the market crashes isn't the crash itself, but rather the fact that a down market is often linked to job losses. Even if you fully intend to hold on to your stocks through a crash, if you find yourself without a paycheck and with no cash buffer, you could wind up needing to sell due to that job loss.A three- to six-month emergency fund buys you time to both look for another job and figure out ways to cut costs before you feel forced to sell your shares. It's a buffer that can come in incredibly handy in a tough environment. It's also one of those things that you hope you'll never have to use -- but if you do, you'll be incredibly glad it's there when you need it.3. You own strong companies that still pay their dividendsThe beauty of a stock's dividend is that it tends to get paid based on the underlying company's ability to generate cash, rather than on the stock market's short-term mood. When companies continue to pay their dividends in a down market, that helps investors in a number of ways.First, the cash itself can be used to buy more shares while they're down -- either of the company that paid the dividend, or of a different one that looks like a compelling value at a low price. That cash becomes available without you having to sell stock or somehow scaring up money from another source, which can be comforting if you're a bit nervous about the future.Second, the fact that companies continue to make their payments from available cash flows can provide a calming effect for investors, even as the market appears to panic around them. After all, there's nothing quite like cold, hard cash to remind people that there's a business behind each stock. If a dividend is still supported and getting paid, it means there's still a successful company there, no matter what the stock price might say at the moment.4. You have a value investor's mindsetUltimately, a share of stock is an ownership stake in a business. That sort of pricing turns value investors into aggressive buyers during a crash, and it's a key part of the strategy that helped Warren Buffett earn and expand his fortune.Especially when combined with the first three reasons not to worry about a stock-market crash, this fourth reason can actually give you an opportunity to profit from one. That way, you'll be in a much better place the next time the market crashes.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":280,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9092434337,"gmtCreate":1644711100377,"gmtModify":1676533954280,"author":{"id":"4107159662881050","authorId":"4107159662881050","name":"JNJQ","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/2b74f829333cbddbdf0321fc7628f6b5","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4107159662881050","authorIdStr":"4107159662881050"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nice","listText":"Nice","text":"Nice","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9092434337","repostId":"2210545256","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":463,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9092436789,"gmtCreate":1644710856090,"gmtModify":1676533954112,"author":{"id":"4107159662881050","authorId":"4107159662881050","name":"JNJQ","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/2b74f829333cbddbdf0321fc7628f6b5","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4107159662881050","authorIdStr":"4107159662881050"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"EV is the way forward","listText":"EV is the way forward","text":"EV is the way forward","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9092436789","repostId":"2210252655","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":293,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"hots":[{"id":9080832825,"gmtCreate":1649863752457,"gmtModify":1676534593401,"author":{"id":"4107159662881050","authorId":"4107159662881050","name":"JNJQ","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/2b74f829333cbddbdf0321fc7628f6b5","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4107159662881050","authorIdStr":"4107159662881050"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"buy buy buy","listText":"buy buy buy","text":"buy buy buy","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":7,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9080832825","repostId":"1135855810","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1135855810","pubTimestamp":1649862366,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1135855810?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-04-13 23:06","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Price Target Changes|Nvidia Upgraded by New Street Research","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1135855810","media":"Benzinga","summary":"UpgradesAccording to Oppenheimer, the prior rating for Apollo Global Management Inc APO was changed ","content":"

Upgrades

According to Oppenheimer, the prior rating for Apollo Global Management Inc APO was changed from Perform to Outperform. Teladoc Health

Teladoc Health (NYSE:TDOC) began falling a lot sooner than the overall stock market did. The stock is down more than 70% from its high in early 2021. Investors have been worried that growth would slow for the virtual care provider as COVID-19 concerns wane.

However, I think the view that Teladoc's fortunes are tied to COVID-19 is one of several major misconceptions about the company. Actually, Teladoc's revenue and its revenue per member increased last year despite the reopening of the U.S. economy.

Teladoc estimates that it has a $75 billion opportunity within its existing membership base, largely through promoting the use of multiple products. Its total addressable market including reaching additional customers is much larger -- more than $260 billion in the U.S. alone.

Virtual care offers cost savings for payers and convenience for patients. Teladoc stands as the leader in the industry with its breadth of services and large customer base. With a market cap of around $8 billion, this stock appears to be dirt cheap in light of its tremendous growth opportunities.

2. MercadoLibre

MercadoLibre (NASDAQ:MELI) is another one-time high-flying stock that has had its wings clipped. Its shares have fallen more than 50% since September 2021.

Was MercadoLibre's steep decline warranted? Not really. The company continues to rack up impressive numbers. It reported a blockbuster fourth quarter with strong growth across the board.

It's easy for investors to only view MercadoLibre as a Latin American e-commerce powerhouse. The company is simply changing its focus to increasing revenue per user rather than adding a greater number of customers who aren't as profitable.

Also, the long-term tailwinds for PayPal aren't subsiding at all. The shift from cash to digital payments for both online and in-store purchases continues full steam ahead. PayPal remains the most widely accepted digital wallet in the world by far. Studies have found that the pain of losing is much more intense than the pleasure associated with winning. This aversion to risk could cause you to be afraid of buying any stocks at all during the current market downturn. However, history shows that investing in times like these often pay off handsomely over the long run. Here are three growth stocks you won't regret buying in this market correction.Image source: Getty Images.1. Teladoc HealthTeladoc Health (NYSE:TDOC) began falling a lot sooner than the overall stock market did. The stock is down more than 70% from its high in early 2021. Investors have been worried that growth would slow for the virtual care provider as COVID-19 concerns wane. However, I think the view that Teladoc's fortunes are tied to COVID-19 is one of several major misconceptions about the company. Actually, Teladoc's revenue and its revenue per member increased last year despite the reopening of the U.S. economy.Teladoc estimates that it has a $75 billion opportunity within its existing membership base, largely through promoting the use of multiple products. Its total addressable market including reaching additional customers is much larger -- more than $260 billion in the U.S. alone.Virtual care offers cost savings for payers and convenience for patients. Teladoc stands as the leader in the industry with its breadth of services and large customer base. With a market cap of around $8 billion, this stock appears to be dirt cheap in light of its tremendous growth opportunities.2. MercadoLibreMercadoLibre (NASDAQ:MELI) is another one-time high-flying stock that has had its wings clipped. Its shares have fallen more than 50% since September 2021.Was MercadoLibre's steep decline warranted? Not really. The company continues to rack up impressive numbers. It reported a blockbuster fourth quarter with strong growth across the board. It's easy for investors to only view MercadoLibre as a Latin American e-commerce powerhouse. The company certainly qualifies as one.

Data by YCharts.

1. Innovative Industrial Properties

Innovative Industrial Properties (IIP) is a relatively new kid on the block in terms of dividends. That's because the stock only went public back in late 2016. But since then, the cannabis-focused real estate investment trust (REIT) has been on a tear, not only growing its revenue but also significantly raising its dividend income along the way.

Today, its quarterly dividend payment of $1.50 yields 3.1%, which is more than double the S&P 500 average of 1.3%. And early investors are collecting much more on their initial investments. When the company started paying dividends in 2017, it paid just $0.15 per quarter.

The business doesn't wait a whole year to raise its payouts, either. The longest that investors have had the same payout was three quarters in a row; IIP normally makes multiple hikes a year. The $1.50 payment it is making now is 21% higher than the $1.24 it was paying just a year earlier.

And the business itself is growing. As more marijuana companies look for space to rent or raise cash through sale-and-leaseback agreements, IIP will continue to find ways to expand. In the last three quarters, revenue of $145.6 million has nearly doubled from the $79.8 million it reported over the same period a year earlier. And its funds from operations for the three-month period ending Sept. 30, 2021, of $1.70 per share are sufficient to cover its dividend. But with more growth still likely on the horizon, it's likely that IIP's earnings, along with its dividend payments, will continue to rise.

Investors in IIP get not just a good dividend stock, but also a fast-growing one that can deliver superior returns, unlike AT&T.

2. AbbVie

Drugmaker AbbVie pays a higher yield than IIP today at just over 4%. Admittedly, its growth isn't nearly as impressive. However, AbbVie is a Dividend King and has an impressive track record for raising its dividend payments. Its most recent hike was an 8.5% increase from $1.30 to $1.41 per quarter.

The company is also coming off a strong quarterly result for the period ending Dec. 31, 2021, during which sales of $14.9 billion grew by 7.4% year over year. Revenue from many of its top products rose at rates of more than 30%, including those it acquired from Botox-maker Allergan in 2020.

And there is likely more growth ahead as the company anticipates $24 billion in adjusted free cash flow this year, with $2 billion of that going toward strengthening its pipeline. This year, AbbVie expects to generate diluted per-share earnings between $9.26 and $9.46, which would put its payout ratio at 60%, leaving plenty of room for more rate hikes.

With AbbVie, investors are getting a solid investment that in the past year generated a profit margin of 20% and is likely to remain a top growth stock to own for the foreseeable future. Its impressive high-yielding dividend just makes it an even better buy, and a more well-rounded investment than AT&T.

","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
2 Dividend Stocks That Are Better Investments Than AT&T
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n2 Dividend Stocks That Are Better Investments Than AT&T\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2022-02-11 19:58 GMT+8 Motley Fool\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Investors in AT&T (NYSE:T) are likely down on the news that they will be collecting less in dividends from the telecom giant. The Dow is a price-weighted index, so the current Amazon stock price of around $3000 makes it ineligible.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":328,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9092436789,"gmtCreate":1644710856090,"gmtModify":1676533954112,"author":{"id":"4107159662881050","authorId":"4107159662881050","name":"JNJQ","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/2b74f829333cbddbdf0321fc7628f6b5","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4107159662881050","authorIdStr":"4107159662881050"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"EV is the way forward","listText":"EV is the way forward","text":"EV is the way forward","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9092436789","repostId":"2210252655","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2210252655","pubTimestamp":1644626280,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2210252655?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-02-12 08:38","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Billionaire Soros Buys Stake in EV Startup Rivian","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2210252655","media":"StreetInsider","summary":"NEW YORK - Billionaire investor George Soros bought nearly 20 million shares of electric truck startup Rivian Automotive Inc in the quarter ended Dec. 31, securities filings showed Friday. The 19,835,761 shares, worth about $2 billion at the time, makes Soros Fund Management among the most prominent investors in a company that has yet to produce a consumer vehicle.
