@Bioman21:Investing in semi conducting industries In Feb 2022, there was news of global shortage of chips. US is going to force countries not to sell to China. There was frenzy then and prices of stocks like TSMC shot up. But prices quickly went south once again. What really happened? People usually reacted strongly to good or bad news adversely. And decisions will flow quickly, usually wrong decisions. When news came out, the global economy was heading in the direction of high inflation and global recession. As such, prices may go up for a short while. Once this news had been absorbed, prices will move in the other direction faster. With the view of high inflation and global recession, think most investors are trying to keep their money for ofher purposes.
