$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$  TESLA stock price has dropped from a recent high of $488 18th Dec 2024 post election results when Trump won to $419 on Trump's inauguration on 20th Jan. Post earnings, Tesla continue it's downtrend to $361 7th Feb. Why I was bearish from $488 and continue to believe that Tesla will revisit the $300 level soon. Fundamentally, a lot has changed, Tesla late release of new cheaper models, Model 2 expected in Mar this year and a $5,000 price increase for Model X are just the beginning of a slew of negatives. Great analysis, you missed the Apple car which would have catapulted Apple's position as a game changer. Alas, it was Xiaomi that went all in with great success. I always saw Tim Cook as a supply chain man, keeping the gravy train running smoothly and delivering the bacon like clockwork.  Obviously, if Apple had a better iPhone on wheels than Tesla but made in China, Trump's tariffs will definitely upset the Apple cart. I have a bearish put spread on Apple, buying a $235 Put and selling a $230 put expiry on 31st Jan. Let's see if we got it right.

Why did Warren Buffet sell a major portion of it's Apple holdings then? Slowing growth, lack of innovation, weak sales in China, with DeepSeek's open source model, Apple's lack of own LLM and dependence on OpenAI which is moving to a for profit model, could threaten its high profit iCloud model. Perhaps the revamped iPhone SE could see improved sales from emerging markets like India and Indonesia, I would not bet on it.

$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$  Tesla losing streak thus far is signs of Elon's stress and focus on D. O. G. E., while BYD is busy rolling out FSD across their entire product lineup, his promise to launch driverless robotaxis in 2025 is a massive gamble to keep investors happy with the narrative. The DeepSeek Sputnik moment and Nvidia 17% earthquake, what a ride, even $500 billion dollar Stargate couldn't move the needle, but $Arm Holdings (ARM.US)$ went to the moon and back! Even as DeepSeek R1 news fills up my social media feed, every time I get "the server is busy, please try again later", I am gladly reminded that if only they had their hands on the latest Blackwell, it would crazy fast. I believe Nvidia will revisit $150 level, next target of $180 is definitely attainable. Given the low volatility, I also opened a bullish call spread $140/$150 expiry Mar 7 to take advantage of pre-earnings momentum which is already up 15% as we speak. After all, we all need a crocodile jacket too, don't we 😂
