Shares of the Vietnamese EV start-up snapped a six-day winning streak, falling 44% Tuesday, wiping out some $90 billion in market value and continued to fall over 10% on Wednesday.

VinFast’s controlling shareholder Pham Nhat Vuong lost about $67 billion in paper wealth. At Monday’s close, his VinFast stake was worth roughly $141 billion, enough to place him just below Jeff Bezos on Bloomberg’s list of richest humans. At Tuesday’s close, his stake was worth about $74 billion, placing him just above Jim Walton, the son of Walmart (WMT) founder Sam Walton.

Vuong’s holdings of VinFast stock are a little complicated. About 1.2 billion of VinFast’s 2.3 billion shares outstanding are held by Vingroup (VIC.Vietnam). Vuong owns 51% of that stock either directly or through Vietnam Investment Group, or VIG, in which Vuong is listed as the sole shareholder. About 1.1 billion shares of VinFast are also held directly by VIG and Asian Star, which is another entity controlled by Vuong.

The result is Vuong controls about 99.7% of VinFast stock and owns directly or indirectly through investment companies up to about 1.7 billion shares.

All this is disclosed in VinFast’s filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The company didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment about the holding structure.

It is a huge one-day loss, but his stake at the time of the SPAC merger was worth roughly $18 billion. He is still up more than 300%.

As for VinFast, the company still has a market capitalization greater than $100 billion. However, there are some big-name exceptions that have managed to find the balance between prioritizing growth as well as being shareholder-friendly with dividends.For investors looking to invest in tech companies that offer both growth potential and consistent dividend income, look below.1. Taiwan Semiconductor ManufacturingTaiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing, or TSMC, is the global leader in chip manufacturing, having introduced the foundry model. Instead of making generic chips to sell, TSMC makes specialized chips for specific companies' products. These products include smartphones, car information and entertainment systems, GPUs for data centers, and hundreds more.It's been rocky for the company as a weaker economy slowed sales, but its future might have been solidified with the emergence of AI and the role the chipmaker can play. TSMC itself won't be at the forefront of AI, but the companies relying on its chips will be.Consider the following ripple effect. Companies dealing with AI need tons of data and this large amount of data is stored in data centers. Data centers are powered by GPUs, which rely on TSMC's chips. According to research by Next Move Strategy Consulting, the AI chip market could be valued at around $304 billion in 2030. That's more than 10 times its 2022 value of $28.8 billion.TSMC's quarterly dividend is $0.46, with a trailing-12-month yield of just under 1.9%. Not bad for a company that's managed to more than double in value over the past five years.2. MicrosoftThere are veterans in the tech world, and then there's the veteran, Microsoft, which began in 1975. It has been there every step of the way in the tech evolution, and it's not going anywhere, either. It's too much of a staple in the business world at this point.In the past five years, Microsoft's revenue grew more than 68%, no small feat for a company of its size. In its fiscal 2023 (ended June 30), it made $211.9 billion in revenue, up 7% year over year.Data by YCharts.Numbers aside, what's impressive about Microsoft is the diversity of its revenue streams. Part of sustaining success is not being too reliant on too few products or services, and it exemplifies that more than any other big tech company.Case in point: Microsoft managed to put up impressive fiscal 2023 numbers despite its More Personal Computing segment -- which includes the Xbox, Windows devices, Windows commercial products, and more -- being down 4% year over year.Some economic conditions can be damaging to a company's financials if it directly affects one of the business' segments, products, or services. For example, think about what would happen to Alphabet if suddenly Google's advertising revenue was drastically reduced. You won't have those problems with Microsoft.A 2023 stock price rally has lowered Microsoft's dividend yield, but it's a case of the best of both worlds. The company presents great growth opportunities to go along with its $0.68 quarterly dividend.3. Cisco SystemsCisco Systems is another staple in the tech world, playing a pivotal role in shaping the internet infrastructure as we know it. With Cisco's routers, switches, data center supplies, and much more, the connectivity we often take for granted would likely be lagging.In its third quarter (ended April 29), Cisco made $14.6 billion in revenue, up 14% year over year. It sells hardware and services, and hardware is undoubtedly its cornerstone, accounting for over 76% of revenue.Cisco has dominated its market for decades with hardware that's top of the line. This quality gives it good pricing power and customer loyalty since cheaper alternatives can need constant fixing that eventually becomes expensive.The company started paying a dividend in 2011 and has increased it every year since. Its current quarterly dividend is $0.39, with a trailing-12-month dividend yield of just over 2.9%. Given Cisco's finances, there's no reason to think it'll stop increasing its yearly dividend anytime soon.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"TSM":0.84,"CSCO":0.9,"MSFT":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2054,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":197883906371624,"gmtCreate":1689345860414,"gmtModify":1689345864456,"author":{"id":"4126097619390902","authorId":"4126097619390902","name":"klarky","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/440ae307ae3a7b5cc1f7c25d579801d8","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4126097619390902","idStr":"4126097619390902"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Part of being an adult is, you take a loan you pay it back!! Plus, a well-known fund manager likes Palantir Technologies’ future prospects.However, you have to make your own financial decisions If you’re a value-focused investor, then you’ll probably want to wait before taking a share position in Palantir Technologies.Headquartered in Colorado, Palantir Technologies is provides a range of security products and services. The company is also involved in AI, and of course that was a red-hot market during 2023’s first half.Just bear in mind, however, that a red-hot industry can quickly turn ice-cold. In any event, let’s see if we can identify an investment strategy for people who believe in Palantir Technologies for the long term.AI and Cathie Wood Pick PLTR StockPlenty of traders want to invest in AI, but have you considered letting AI pick prime stocks for you? I suspect that using machine learning as a stock-picking tool will be a major theme in the coming months.To that end, AI predicts that PLTR stock will deliver triple-digit returns in 2029, or possibly even next year. These results are certainly possible as Palantir Technologies’ cybersecurity-focused Foundry platform is popular among government entities and private businesses.Furthermore, ARK Investment Management CEO Cathie Wood is reportedly betting on Palantir Technologies. Wood favors high-growth technology names, so it’s not a surprise that she would pick Palantir.Palantir Technologies Gains Value on AI HypeIt’s possible that Wood and AI chose PLTR stock because Palantir Technologies leverages AI and large language models in its software.After all, Palantir’s management claimed that the company is “a worldwide leader in Artificial Intelligence” in its first-quarter 2023 business update.Also, Palantir Technologies CEO Alexander C. Karp touted the company’s “new Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP)” in Palantir’s first-quarter 2023 earnings report. Yet, the enthusiasm surrounding AI seems to have over inflated Palantir Technologies’ market value.Bear in mind, PLTR stock doubled in price in May and June, shooting from $7.50 to $15. Thus, it’s reasonable to conclude that financial traders have already baked Palantir’s AI connection into the cake.One quarter after another, Palantir Technologies has only been profitable on a per-share basis by a few pennies at most. We’re not talking about blockbuster profits here. There are serious valuation concerns with Palantir.Reportedly, Palantir Technologies’ GAAP forward price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio is a whopping 312.36x.This is what can happen when the market really likes a company even though it’s not very profitable on a per-share basis. Just for comparison, the sector median GAAP forward P/E ratio is 25.1x.PLTR Stock Looks Due for a DipIt’s fine that Wood and AI favor Palantir Technologies as a business with powerful growth potential. However, it appears that the market has already pumped the share price up too much.If you’re in the market for an investment that offers both growth and value, keep an eye on Palantir Technologies.Wait patiently for PLTR stock to pull back to $12. Then, go ahead and make your move as Palantir will still be a high-conviction pick, but will also be more reasonably valued.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"PLTR":1}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":953,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":196704210509976,"gmtCreate":1689064140094,"gmtModify":1689064143220,"author":{"id":"4126097619390902","authorId":"4126097619390902","name":"klarky","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/440ae307ae3a7b5cc1f7c25d579801d8","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4126097619390902","idStr":"4126097619390902"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"EV rally let's go","listText":"EV rally let's go","text":"EV rally let's go","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/196704210509976","repostId":"1164060764","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"1164060764","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1689062816,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1164060764?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2023-07-11 16:06","market":"us","language":"en","title":"EV Stocks Cheered up in Premarket Trading; The International Energy Agency (IEA) estimates that roughly 60% of new vehicles sold will be electric in 2030. Tesla (TSLA) was a first-mover. Investors have fiercely debated the company's stock, which trades at a hefty premium to those of competitors like Ford and General Motors.One could argue that Tesla is a car company with money-sucking capital requirements like any other automotive maker. Others might say Tesla is a technology company that goes beyond vehicles. But there's something about Tesla that matters way more than this argument.Here is the chart that matters, and why it makes Tesla a superior stock to its electric vehicle (EV) competitors.What is the return on capital employed?In a way, Tesla is both an automotive and a technology company. Its unique factories, product plans, and eccentric CEO make it almost as fascinating a story as it is an investment. But you can look at the company's return on capital employed to get down to brass tacks and illustrate how the business is performing.The return on capital employed is a ratio (displayed as a percentage) that shows the return generated on a company's financial assets. It's calculated by dividing a company's earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) by its capital employed. You can think of a business as a machine -- and when you put a dollar of capital into it, how much are you getting out?You can compare the return on capital employed between similar companies to get a sense of how efficient each business is.Where Tesla stands outLet's do that with Tesla, legacy competitors like Ford and General Motors, and start-up Rivian. Below, you'll see that Tesla has a significantly higher ROCE than all of the others -- Rivian's is profoundly negative at this point:TSLA Return on Capital Employed data by YChartsWhat explains these numbers? It's undoubtedly a combination of things, but it could boil down to some observations. First, a company must be profitable to generate a positive ROCE; Rivian is still unprofitable, because it doesn't manufacture enough vehicles to offset the costs of running its factories.Ford and General Motors are profitable, but they are straddling two businesses -- the new and old, electric vehicles and legacy combustion engine cars and trucks. Ford recently split its financials for the two sides of the company apart, disclosing that it lost around $3 billion in the past two years in the EV business and will lose $3 billion more in 2023.Why it makes Tesla a buyTesla stands out as the most established pure-EV company on the market. Rivian is playing catch-up, and will probably burn billions more in cash as it ramps up production. Meanwhile, Ford and General Motors could see their return on capital employed decrease as they invest in building their EV businesses. They must also continue balancing two types of vehicles that use different technology -- and that added cost burden may make it difficult to operate as efficiently as Tesla.This efficiency stands out when it comes to earnings growth. Analysts expect nearly 25% annual earnings growth from Tesla over the long term, and negative growth for Ford and General Motors. That arguably justifies the gulf between Tesla's price-to-earnings ratio (P/E) and the rest of the field.TSLA PE Ratio (Forward) data by YChartsNotably, Tesla's potential earnings growth could burn off any conceived premium in the stock over the next several years. Even at a market cap of $600 billion, Tesla has a case for a growth stock label. The company's long-term production goals still dwarf the 1.37 million units it produced in 2022.Tesla's superior return on capital employed positions it for strong earnings growth (and investment returns as a result) as EVs take center stage over the next decade and beyond.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"TSLA":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":890,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9949749932,"gmtCreate":1678926556026,"gmtModify":1678926560653,"author":{"id":"4126097619390902","authorId":"4126097619390902","name":"klarky","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/440ae307ae3a7b5cc1f7c25d579801d8","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4126097619390902","authorIdStr":"4126097619390902"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Let them all fail, bad business is bad business. That only makes the scandals, public legal battles and mounting losses at Credit Suisse Group AG more striking and hard to comprehend. In mid-March, unease about the bank’s mounting problems snowballed and its shares slumped, forcing management to appeal to Swiss banking authorities for a public vote of confidence.1. What went wrong?Credit Suisse’s failings have included a criminal conviction for allowing drug dealers to launder money in Bulgaria, entanglement in a Mozambique corruption case, a spying scandal involving a former employee and an executive and a massive leak of client data to the media. Its association with disgraced financier Lex Greensill and failed New York-based investment firm Archegos Capital Management compounded the sense of an institution that didn’t have a firm grip on its affairs. Many fed up clients have voted with their feet, leading to unprecedented client outflows in late 2022.2. What triggered the latest share slump?Chief Executive Officer Ulrich Koerner launched a massive outreach to woo back nervous clients and their cash. The effort appeared to be paying off by January, with it reported “net positive” deposits. However, on March 9, the US Securities and Exchange Commission queried the bank’s annual report, forcing it to delay its publication. Panic spread after regional US lender Silicon Valley Bank failed, the victim in part of risky investments and rising global interest rates that eroded the value of its bond holdings. Investors began ditching anything that smelled of banking risk and deposit flight.3. How bad did the situation get?On March 15, Credit Suisse stock slumped anew when the chairman of its largest shareholder, Saudi National Bank, ruled out investing any more in the company. This prompted Credit Suisse to ask the Swiss central bank for a public statement of support. The cost of insuring the bank’s bonds against default for one year surged to levels not seen for major international banks since the financial crisis of 2008. As other banks sought to hedge their counterparty risk for transactions with Credit Suisse, quoted prices for a one-year credit default swap jumped from 836 basis points, indicating a probability of defaulting of 10%, on March 14 to higher than 3,000 basis points. Few actual trades were executed, however, as liquidity in the market dried up. In another sign of stress, Credit Suisse’s additional tier 1 bonds — which are subordinate to all other ranks of debt and may be written down if capital falls below a predetermined level — were trading below 80% of face value, a level typically signaling distress. Even bonds coming due in April traded at prices well below face value.4. Is this another Lehman Brothers moment?The Wall Street giant, whose failure in 2008 triggered the global financial crisis, succumbed when funding dried up and other banks stopped dealing with it. Unlike Lehman and SVB, Credit Suisse has substantial liquid assets to call upon and access to central bank lending facilities and is less sensitive than many rivals to sharp moves in interest rates. It has rebuilt its cushion against more deposit withdrawals since the worst wave of outflows in October. It also has enough money-like liquid assets to pay back half of all its liabilities in deposits and loans from other banks, according to Bloomberg Opinion banking columnist Paul J. Davies. Koerner said the firm’s liquidity coverage ratio showed it can handle over a month of heavy outflows in a period of stress.5. What else is Koerner doing to turn things around?His three-year recovery plan involves 9,000 job cuts, dismantling the investment banking behemoth assembled over five decades and returning Credit Suisse to its origins as banker to the world’s ultra-wealthy. That means spinning off First Boston, an American investment bank it acquired in 1990 with a view to listing it in 2025, and selling parts of its securitized products unit to Apollo Global Management Inc. That process is now at risk of becoming bogged down in a broader financial-sector selloff following the collapse of SVB and two other US banks.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"CS":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":743,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9986934857,"gmtCreate":1666874979079,"gmtModify":1676537820900,"author":{"id":"4126097619390902","authorId":"4126097619390902","name":"klarky","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/440ae307ae3a7b5cc1f7c25d579801d8","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4126097619390902","authorIdStr":"4126097619390902"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Just wait till people stop paying their credit card bills! According to data provided by Charlie Bilello, the CEO of Compound Capital Advisors, there have been 53 trading sessions where the S&P 500 has lost at least 1% of its value in 2022, through this past weekend. That's the highest annual total since the Great Recession in 2009, and we still have more than two months left in the year.If this isn't enough proof that it's been a trying year, all three major U.S. stock indexes have fallen into a bear market.Image source: Getty Images.But just because equities are volatile, it doesn't mean investors have to head to the sideline. On the contrary, bear markets have historically been an excellent time to put your money to work.What's more, investors have options for putting their cash to work. Those folks who don't have a stomach for heightened volatility or risk can buy safe stocks to weather the short-term storm and steadily grow their wealth over time. What follows are three extremely safe stocks with long histories of profitability, and they can double your money, including dividends paid, by 2028.AT&TThe first exceptionally safe stock that has the potential to double your money, including dividends paid, by 2028 is telecom giant AT&T. As of this past weekend, it was yielding 6.49%. Over the next six years, this would equate to a 39% return from dividends alone.In terms of volatility, AT&T has a beta of 0.65. This means it's about 65% as volatile as the benchmark S&P 500. For instance, if the S&P 500 fell 1%, we would expect the stock to decline by just 0.65%. This lack of volatility is a reflection of wireless services and smartphones evolving into basic necessities over the past two decades. No matter how poorly the U.S. economy or stock markets perform, churn rates for AT&T's wireless services remain relatively low.Although AT&T's faster-growth days are now firmly in the rearview mirror, it does have two catalysts that can move the needle in the years to come. Without question, its biggest catalyst is the 5G revolution. It's been roughly a decade since wireless download speeds were significantly improved. While it will cost a pretty penny for AT&T to upgrade its infrastructure, the expectation is for consumers and businesses to respond by using more data, which happens to be where the company generates its beefiest margins.To add to this point, AT&T's third-quarter results featured 5.6% revenue growth in wireless service over the prior-year period. That's the fastest rate of wireless growth for the company in over a decade, which provides tangible evidence that its investments in 5G infrastructure are paying off.The other notable driver for AT&T is the spinoff of WarnerMedia in April, which subsequently merged with Discovery to create Warner Bros. Discovery. When the deal closed, AT&T received $40.4 billion in cash, as well as the retention of select debt by Warner Bros. Discovery. The point being that AT&T's debt-burdened balance sheet gained meaningful flexibility following this spinoff, which means its market-topping dividend should continue being paid out.VisaWhereas AT&T's dividend should play a key role in helping investors possibly double their money by 2028, payment processor Visa's dividend yield of 0.79% is merely icing on the cake. Share price appreciation should do virtually all of the heavy lifting over the next six years.One of the primary reasons Visa's volatility clocks in below that of the S&P 500 is its predictable cyclical nature. Cyclical stocks tend to ebb and flow with the U.S. economy. Even though downturns are an inevitable part of the economic cycle, they don't last very long. So Visa's outperformance reflects that the U.S. and global economies spend a considerably longer amount of time expanding than contracting.Something else working in Visa's favor is its domestic and international opportunities. Within the U.S., it held the lion's share of credit card network purchase volume (54%), as of 2020. In fact, it was the only one of the four major credit card networks in the U.S. to demonstrably expand its market share following the Great Recession.As for its international prowess, Visa can benefit from the fact that most global transactions are still being conducted with cash. It will likely take decades to penetrate some of the most underbanked regions of the globe, which is a fancy way of saying that Visa has decades left to sustain a double-digit growth runway.Also, as I've previously pointed out, Visa's conservative operating approach is a positive. Its purposeful avoidance of lending means it isn't exposed to potential loan losses when recessions arise. By strictly focusing on payment processing, Visa is ensuring that it bounces back from recessions faster than its peers, as well as maintaining a profit margin above 50%.Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett. Image source: The Motley Fool.Berkshire HathawayThe third extremely safe stock that can double your money by 2028 is none other than conglomerate Berkshire Hathaway. Although Berkshire doesn't pay a dividend, it continues the theme of the companies on this list offering lower volatility than the S&P 500.While Berkshire Hathaway might not be a household name, its billionaire leader certainly is. Warren Buffett has been CEO of Berkshire since 1965, and in that time has overseen the creation of more than $620 billion in shareholder value. Perhaps more important, he's delivered an average annual return of 20.1% for his shareholders. Even though past performance is no indication of future results, a 57-year track record is sufficient evidence that Buffett has a knack for outperforming the broader market.One of the most overlooked reasons for Berkshire Hathaway's success is its investment portfolio, which is packed with dividend stocks. Companies that pay a regular dividend are usually profitable, and history shows they tend to vastly outperform stocks that don't pay a dividend. Over the coming 12 months, Buffett's company is on pace to collect more than $6 billion in dividend income.Warren Buffett happens to be a big fan of leaning on cyclical business as well. Rather than trying to foolishly time when a recession will occur, the Oracle of Omaha has packed his company's portfolio with businesses that'll thrive from the natural expansion of the U.S. and global economies over time, such as bank stocks.Berkshire Hathaway's capital-return program is another reason for investors to be excited. Though Berkshire doesn't pay a dividend, there isn't a stock Buffett and his right-hand man Charlie Munger love buying more than shares of their own company. Over a four-year stretch, Buffett and Munger have repurchased $62.1 billion worth of Berkshire Hathaway Class A and Class B stock.For businesses with steady or growing net income, stock repurchases can have a positive impact on earnings per share. This can make an already reasonably priced stock like Berkshire Hathaway appear all the more attractive.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"BRK.A":0.9,"BRK.B":0.9,"V":0.9,"T":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":652,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[{"author":{"id":"3582668988155006","authorId":"3582668988155006","name":"MengKeng","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/daf999525f61ba41d3c13b0ed728eb77","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"idStr":"3582668988155006","authorIdStr":"3582668988155006"},"content":"A very funny concept of yours,","text":"A very funny concept of yours,","html":"A very funny concept of yours,"},{"author":{"id":"4101545765383330","authorId":"4101545765383330","name":"Azerone.Kee","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/d39387dc5f4bc64e4716bd64e398a9e2","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"idStr":"4101545765383330","authorIdStr":"4101545765383330"},"content":"Bad debts will happen in good time and in bad time, as long as majority of the people pay their bills, the business can make money from it, why so worry about that?","text":"Bad debts will happen in good time and in bad time, as long as majority of the people pay their bills, the business can make money from it, why so worry about that?","html":"Bad debts will happen in good time and in bad time, as long as majority of the people pay their bills, the business can make money from it, why so worry about that?"}],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9949408225,"gmtCreate":1678798386268,"gmtModify":1678798389933,"author":{"id":"4126097619390902","authorId":"4126097619390902","name":"klarky","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/440ae307ae3a7b5cc1f7c25d579801d8","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4126097619390902","authorIdStr":"4126097619390902"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"More like CPLies, anyone who is paying energy bills and food know that inflation is still rising","listText":"More like CPLies, anyone who is paying energy bills and food know that inflation is still rising","text":"More like CPLies, anyone who is paying energy bills and food know that inflation is still rising","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":17,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9949408225","repostId":"1104135804","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"1104135804","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1678797046,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1104135804?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2023-03-14 20:30","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Inflation: Consumer Prices Rise 6% over Last Year in February, Slowest since Sept. 2021","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1104135804","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Inflation rose in February but was in line with expectations, providing a key input into whether the","content":"

Inflation rose in February but was in line with expectations, providing a key input into whether the Federal Reserve continues to raise interest rates.

The consumer price index increased 0.4% for the month, putting the annual inflation rate at 6%, the Labor Department reported Tuesday. Futures pricing is volatile, though, and unexpectedly strong inflation reports this week likely would cause a repricing.Either way, market sentiment has shifted dramatically.Fed Chairman Jerome Powell last week told two congressional committees that the central bank is prepared to push rates higher than expected if inflation does not come down. That set off a wave of speculation that the Fed could be teeing up a 0.5 percentage point hike next week.However, the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank over the past several days paved the way for a more restrained view for monetary policy.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".IXIC":0.9,".SPX":0.9,".DJI":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":859,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9941895685,"gmtCreate":1680101075447,"gmtModify":1680102814265,"author":{"id":"4126097619390902","authorId":"4126097619390902","name":"klarky","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/440ae307ae3a7b5cc1f7c25d579801d8","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4126097619390902","authorIdStr":"4126097619390902"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Motley Fool trying for Jim Cramer's job?","listText":"Motley Fool trying for Jim Cramer's job?","text":"Motley Fool trying for Jim Cramer's job?","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":14,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9941895685","repostId":"1132599656","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"1132599656","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1680102909,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1132599656?lang=en_US&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2023-03-29 23:15","market":"us","language":"en","title":"A Bull Market Is Coming: 3 Supercharged Growth Stocks to Buy at a Discount","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1132599656","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"KEY POINTSAMD has a reputation as a company that can deliver cutting-edge processors for the cloud.T","content":"
\n
KEY POINTSAMD has a reputation as a company that can deliver cutting-edge processors for the cloud.The demand for Teradyne's testing systems increases as semiconductor chip complexity grows.Tesla ...
\n\nSource Link\n\n
\n","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; It's not a question of if it will happen, but rather when. For investors who want to get ahead of this coming bull market, now's the time to research potential winners that will excel when it comes. Here are three supercharged growth stocks that could skyrocket higher once the bull market finally gets going.1. Advanced Micro DevicesAdvanced Micro Devices (AMD), also known as AMD, is one of the world's foremost suppliers of cutting-edge microprocessors. AMD produces a variety of chips used in everything from automobiles to gaming devices. The company's largest, most profitable segment makes server processors, which are used to power the world's data centers. Many companies make data center processors (IBM, Intel, and Qualcomm, are some other examples), but AMD might have a leg up on the competition thanks to its record of innovation and some strategic partnerships it's made. For example, AMD recently teamed up with Microsoft on a collaborative venture where AMD's EPYC processors help operate Microsoft Azure's virtual machines. Associations like this can help AMD reinforce its image as a go-to name for chips used in top-of-the-line data centers.From a financial perspective, AMD's short-term future presents a mixed image. Wall Street analysts expect 2023 revenue to be flat as lingering weakness in the PC market cancels out skyrocketing growth in the company's Data Center segment. Analysts expect growth to return with a bang in 2024. Consensus estimates are for 17% revenue growth, bringing the company's total revenue for 2024 to $27.7 billion.AMD's stock price is up more than 46% so far in 2023, but it is still down 41% from all-time highs set in 2021. There's still more growth available here.2. TeslaWhile 2022 saw the stock price for electric vehicle (EV) maker Tesla (TSLA -1.37%), fall significantly after an incredible runup over the prior two years, 2023 is off to a much better start. The company reported stellar quarterly earnings back in January, with the following highlights:$24.3 billion in revenue -- up 37% year over year.$1.19 of adjusted earnings per share (EPS).1.31 million vehicle sales for all of 2022 -- up 40% year over year.Adding fuel to the fire, Tesla's net income per employee hit $110,792 last year. That's a record high for the company, far outpacing Tesla's closest competitors.Nevertheless, investors can snap up shares of the world's largest automaker (by market cap) at a discount. Tesla stock still trades 52% below its all-time high, set in 2021. For investors looking to gain a step on the market, now might be the time to load up on Tesla -- before the next bull market gets underway.3. TeradyneTeradyne fills a unique niche by designing and producing automated test systems for the semiconductor industry. Revenue tumbled in 2022 as a glut of semiconductors slowed overall demand. However, the company's 10-year average growth rate on revenue is 8.6%.The demand for Teradyne's testing systems increases as chip complexity grows. And with more and more complex chips coming down the pipeline to help fuel artificial intelligence, machine learning, and automotive advancements, Teradyne stands to benefit.Looking ahead, analysts expect Teradyne's revenue to contract to $2.8 billion this year. However, Wall Street estimates revenue should rebound substantially to $3.5 billion in 2024. While it waits for the rebound, the company's balance sheet gives it a large cushion. Teradyne has over $890 million of cash available and only $133 million of debt. Teradyne stock trades 38% below all-time highs set at the start of 2022, but it's up nearly 20% so far in 2023. For investors that want to spice up their portfolio with a mid-cap semiconductor-related stock, Teradyne is a name to remember.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"AMD":0.9,"TSLA":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":600,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":196038257942744,"gmtCreate":1688898472846,"gmtModify":1688898476018,"author":{"id":"4126097619390902","authorId":"4126097619390902","name":"klarky","avatar":"https://community-static.tradeup.com/news/440ae307ae3a7b5cc1f7c25d579801d8","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":1,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4126097619390902","authorIdStr":"4126097619390902"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Beven wheeling this stock since it listed. Markets can benefit from fiscal stimulus in China, energy support plans in Europe and very low investor sentiment, they said.“Economic data and investor positioning are more important factors for risky asset performance than central bank rhetoric,” the strategists wrote. “We maintain a pro-risk stance.”Positive sentiment has returned to markets in recent days amid hopes that inflation may have peaked, at least in the US. On Monday, the MSCI AC World Index completed its best four-day surge since May, as traders ready for key US consumer price data Tuesday.JPMorgan argues that a gradual easing in inflation should be positive for cyclical stocks and small cap names, which it prefers along with emerging-market and Chinese equities over “expensive” defensives. It advocates buying the dip in energy shares and keeps an “aggressive” overweight in commodities.“We maintain that inflation will resolve on its own as distortions fade and that the Fed has over-reacted with 75bps hike,” the team wrote. “We will likely see a Fed pivot, which is positive for cyclical assets.”The strategists are positive on the dollar and expect US and European bond yield curves to flatten.JPMorgan is not alone in its view.Existing data suggest a soft landing is where the global economy is headed, said Isaac Poole, chief investment officer at Oreana Financial Services Ltd., in an interview. “In that scenario, we actually think earnings could be relatively good next year in the US.”Earnings growth “could surprise on the upside because there has been a lot of pessimism baked in.”","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".IXIC":0.9,".SPX":0.9,".DJI":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":545,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"lives":[]}
