Went short on $Coinbase Global, Inc.(COIN)$ . They have been in  the spotlight for all the wrong reasons , and might fall a bit further due too the SEC investigating them.  And then we have Bank shares...... Not many believes in First Republic Bank anymore, but I do think if they can survive the next few weeks, and get some of the old depositors too put some money back into the bank again it could be interesting to see where the share price gets going. They have strong institutional ownership that don't want to see them fail, and then create a domino effect taking other banks with them.  So far my belief in the First Republic Bank has not been very successful, but I am still k

【Voting Post】$Carvana Co.(CVNA)$  Well this took off just as I predicted. I have followed this stock from like 375 dollars, down too 3.75. A lot of investors got burnt on this stock including seasoned financial institutions. I personally think they can survive and thrive again. They current Ceo lost 99 percent of his fortune on this, so he would definitely like to avoid bankruptcy. He has gone all in. This could be interesting to watch. https://globalrisk.fund/2022/12/27/any-buyers-carvana/

https://globalrisk.fund/2023/03/19/first-republic-bank-set-for-a-rally-with-rumours-buffett-is-getting-behind-a-rescue $First Republic Bank(FRC)$  I am going long ,and buying up more shares. Anything under 20$ is a bargain for what I see as a solid bank with a great customer base . Happy trading fellow Tigers !

https://globalrisk.fund/2023/03/19/first-republic-bank-set-for-a-rally-with-rumours-buffett-is-getting-behind-a-rescue/ $First Republic Bank(FRC)$  Have a good future after the 30 billion deposit from the bigger banks. It has a loyal customer base that would rather stay with them as long as they believe the deposits they have with them is secure. The US government needs to increase the depositor guarantee amount from 250 K too an amount that would calm the customers of the Us banking system. I am bullish ,and have invested accordingly.

The Big Vouchers disappeared fast. Do we settle for the smaller one , or hope to get a big voucher next Monday ? What will you spend the voucher on ? I might go for another Carvana purchase, but maybe play it a bit safer with $Pimco Total Return ETF(BOND)$  . This could be a year if trying to preserve capital, more than making a fortune.

So many people try to get rich quickly by trading shares and forex. But why does so many loose all the money then, and even end up in debt Do we trade to much on emotions, and get greedy and fearful ? This video clip I found quite informative about trading and some of the pitfalls. And the trader only got one screen behind him ! https://globalrisk.fund/2021/07/11/why-do-90-percent-loose-money-on-online-trading/

$First Republic Bank(FRC)$  My trade in all this was to go short with limited success, and taking a calculated chance on that First Republic Bank will stabilise with some help of the bigger financial players. They are worth more than 20 dollars a share in my humble opinion. Next day or so could be interesting 🤔

I choose $Carvana Co.(CVNA)$  for my swing trade. They have been heavily shorted, and would benefit the most from a slowing inflation rate, and a possible increase in car prices if production of new cars slows down with a new wave of Covid .

End of the year. Everyone wants a Xmas bonus. Big companies will buy back some shares to lift the value of they're businesses. Executives on Wall Street would like to make sure they don't miss out on bonuses. Inflation is slowly easing. Companies like Tesla is starting to look like a bargain buy again. Yes , we will see a Xmas rally ! Hopefully Santa got the memo too !

NEUROBO ANNOUNCED CLOSING OF $32.3 MILLION UNDERWRITTEN PUBLIC OFFERING INCLUDING FULL EXERCISE OF OVERALLOTMENT OPTION AND CONCURRENT PRIVATE PLACEMENT ! It had a wild ride yesterday. Up around 40 percent in pretrading before crashing down faster than a 🚀 failure. Then after the market closed it shot up again. Today looks like it will be another wild rollercoaster 🎢 ride. So I am holding to my shares, and see were it takes me....$NeuroBo Pharmaceuticals, Inc.(NRBO)

$NASDAQ(.IXIC)$It was a wild ride this morning. We all expected a 0.75 hike, but not many expected such a hawkish press conference. Inflation needs to be brought under control. But if we end up with a recession instead, that's not good either. I prefer too see this moment as a chance to buy into the tech markets with discounts. Like a Xmas sale if you like. I made a little profit going short, but it's a dangerous game. Time to go long for the long haul. What tech stock is the most undervalued right now ?

I went bearish on the Nasdaq last week. And I have decided to stay bearish this week. Federal Reserve still are very concerned about inflation running out of control. They could easily take the wind out of the sails for the tech stocks. They had the first real winning week since the summer, but it might not last. It's a risky move to go short, but it could pay off handsomely if I am right..... $Nasdaq100 Bear 3X ETF(SQQQ)$

Nasdaq looks like it will finish off the week erasing all gains it made. I have gone short using Sqqq 3X Leverage to cash in on what could be a bloodbath of a Halloween ending for tech stocks. After I will buy into Biotech with a discount. At least that's my plan. It might be a bad plan, but if you at least have a plan, you can improve on it. You can't really on a no plan investing strategy.

My last trade of the year was Carvana. The stock went down about 99 percent in the last 18 months. The outlook is bleak, but they still have financial backers that could see more value in them continuing trading , than putting them in bankruptcy. And with Covid going rampant again there could be disruption in car productions in places like China. That could drive secondhand prices upwards again. Might be wishful thinking, but Carvana has a lot of cars to sell !  A lot ? Lots of lots full of cars to sell !

Carvana ? Good investment or a risky Gamble?

They were riding high. Shareprice went to 376 dollars. They hit a million cars sold. They vere innovative and close to becoming the biggest car retailer of used cars in the USA. And then it fell apart. Within 18 months they lost almost 99 percent of value. Rising interest rates, and threats of recession have hit them hard. Still they have assets, and backers that could finance them away from potential bankruptcy. The way they are going they would run out of cash before the end of 2023 unless they can increase productivity, and cut costs. And the amount of debts are sittings at levels too high to be sustainable. Can they survive ? Well I wouldn’t put my pension funds on it, but at 4 dollars a share I see a potential upside on it. They upscaled the capacity in a market with sinking car price

Yes, at times I buy luxury brands. But not so much for the fact that they are expensive, but for the quality product. They can hold the value, and if you have the provenance to confirm the origin of  the product, it can at times be worth more. They get through bad times, and shine in good times. For me though quality is more important than anything else. One of my favourite brands are Tissot that also make reasonable priced products. And Chanel you can never go wrong with for a New Year present. Unfortunately most companies don't seem to give shareholder discounts.  But I hope someone can prove me wrong on that one.

I have gone short again trough  the $Nasdaq100 Bear 3X ETF(SQQQ)$ . It looks like it could be a volatile week. Inflation is still rearing it's head, and the Reserve Bank is not wanting a huge rally in the stock market, and too much optimism to set in.  So I'm going short just for now, until I see the markets possibly proving me wrong. And as always I keep my autoinvest going for the long term.  It's not a race , more a marathon. Good things take time.

UP 25 percent in pretrading !  NRBO is my trade of the day. They are a biotech company listed on the NASDAQ. They are doing research on treatment for Covid 19.  They are just in the process of getting a 30 million dollar public offering together. They were trading at 63 dollars a year ago, but hit a low point of just over 2 dollars yesterday. If they can succeed with a turnaround then this could be a very successful buy this week. Not financial advice, just my opinion. $NeuroBo Pharmaceuticals, Inc.(NRBO)$

$Nasdaq100 Bear 3X ETF(SQQQ)$  I see this instrument as a very good way to hedge my investment strategy in uncertain times. We all want too see the markets go higher, but when Powell speaks on the behalf of the FED ,he wants to keep inflation under control, and keep the markets cool. If I think the markets might take a dip then I sometimes leave a position open for a couple of days to protect my assets, and hopefully make a little money to buy more shares on the dip. Don't always get it right, but more often than not it works out well. What strategy do fellow Tigers have to deal with turbulent markets ?
