OCBC plans to increase the dividend on its shares

Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation Limited (SGX:O39) has announced that it will be increasing its dividend on the 20th of May to S$0.28. This makes the dividend yield about the same as the industry average at 4.3%. Oversea-Chinese Banking's Earnings Easily Cover the Distributions While it is always good to see a solid dividend yield, we should also consider whether the payment is feasible. Before making this announcement, Oversea-Chinese Banking was earning enough to cover the dividend, but it wasn't generating any free cash flows. No cash flows could definitely make returning cash to shareholders difficult, or at least mean the balance sheet will come under pressure. Looking forward, earnings per share is forecast to rise by 12.4% over the next year. Assuming the dividend continues

Carvana: Don't Be Fooled By The Recent Profit Forecast

SummaryCarvana's stock price surged by over 50% after a press release and presentation at the William Blair Annual Growth Stock Conference, but the forecasted 20% boost in gross profit is likely a one-time event due to a timing issue in loan sales.Despite impressive growth, Carvana has never been profitable, accumulating total losses of over $2.2 billion and carrying a debt of over $8 billion with negative shareholder's equity. The company's debt trades at prices well below nominal value, indicating a risk of bankruptcy, and it is unlikely that Carvana can generate enough cash to redeem $500 million of bonds due in 2025.Joe RaedleOn the morning of June 8th, before the market opened, Carvana $Carvana Co.(CVNA)$ issued a press release and an 8-K form

Why Tencent Could Bounce Back in the Second Half of 2022

KEY POINTS Tencent stock recently sold off after earnings, even as other Chinese tech stocks bounced back. Tencent's fourth quarter felt the full sting of regulations implemented over the summer. However, assuming those mark a one-time "reset," Tencent should begin growing strongly again in the second half of 2022, making its stock a bargain today. Investors are fleeing the stock on a big slowdown in growth, but there is a path to a rebound. Perhaps the highest-quality Chinese tech stock is Tencent which sold off after its recent earnings report. Revenue growth slowed to just 8% last quarter, its first single-digit quarterly growth figure in its history as a public company. Uncertainty across Tencent's businesses, from gaming to social media to fintech, is causing investors to av

CICT(C38U) stock's Fundamentals Looks Decent. Will The Market Correct The Share Price In The Future?

CapitaLand Integrated Commercial Trust has had a rough three months with its share price down 6.0%. But if you pay close attention, you might find that its key financial indicators look quite decent, which could mean that the stock could potentially rise in the long-term given how markets usually reward more resilient long-term fundamentals. At first glance, CapitaLand Integrated Commercial Trust's ROE doesn't look very promising. However, the fact that the its ROE is quite higher to the industry average of 5.4% doesn't go unnoticed by us. Consequently, this likely laid the ground for the decent growth of 5.2% seen over the past five years by CapitaLand Integrated Commercial Trust. Bear in mind, the company does have a moderately low ROE. It is just that the industry ROE is lower. Therefor

Bullish on Huya $Huya Inc.(HUYA)$!As you can see, we have a nice cup and handle chart pattern. The cup base looks pretty strong at 12 weeks of formation. I'm expecting an entry at $3.89 if the vol is greater than 4M. I predict this stock will run up within the next couple of weeks. I'm expecting to take profits around $4.75 but I wouldn't be shocked if price runs up to 5.10 on really strong vol. My stop loss will be set at $3.59 (last support level) to manage a 8% loss if trend breaks. What do you guys think about this idea?

Taiwan Semiconductor: I Remain Hesitantly Bullish Even After A 50% Runup

SummaryGrowth prospects for Taiwan Semiconductor remain strong due to its position of industry leadership. The company has a strong balance sheet and cash position, which is important for a cyclical company to weather potential downturns.Current growth opportunities allow for the company to grow into its valuation.A unique risk setting should make investors seek sufficient precaution in terms of allocation and exposure to limit downside potential.Olivier Le MoalIntroductionI covered Taiwan Semiconductor $Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ back in October 2022 under the headline of “Taiwan Semiconductor: I’m Buying And Here Is Why”. At the time, the stock was trading at its lowest valuation since 2016 and appeared to be a sensible opportun

Tomshardware.com has an insightful analysis of Intel’s foundry plans. They state Intel aspires to be #2 foundry device by 2030, beating out Samsung for that rank behind TMSC. Imho, to do so would require a huge culture shift away from being totally focused on their own CPU products, to being focused on making their customers successful at getting to market with products profitable for the customer. Not currently in their corporate DNA! Would like to see it happen though. $Intel(INTC)$ Some eye-opening facts: In the last 12 months there were zero insiders selling INTC shares. In the last 12 months there were 3 insiders buying INTC for a total of $2.94 million Patrick Gelsinger, the CEO, is the single biggest shareholder with almost a half million s

Palantir: Growth Targets Are Achievable, Says Top Analyst

Palantir (PLTR)is a divisive name on Wall Street. The bull-case rests on the big data specialist’s ability to expand its offerings beyond large government/enterprise contracts which have historically generated the bulk of the company’s revenue. The bear case is driven by an argument its high-end offerings are generally unsuitable for smaller companies who are already well served and that ultimately with government contracts slowing down, the company won’t be able to meet its growth objectives. Evaluating the company’s prospects, Piper Sandler’s Weston Twigg belongs in the former camp. “We view PLTR as a high-growth company with a rapidly expanding customer base,” said the 5-star analyst. “While controversial, we believe growth targets are achievable.” So, what are those growth targets? Nvidia Bubble: Sell The Rip

SummaryAs Nvidia has skyrocketed towards $1T market cap, investors appear to have started ignoring the fundamentals. As I see no further upside, I am repeating my 2021 Peak Nvidia call.Nvidia's growth sustainability, moat, and valuation are exaggerated, making the stock overvalued and potentially a bubble.Comparing Nvidia to Zoom's temporary pandemic surge, the current demand for AI hardware (and therefore Nvidia's growth) may not be sustainable in the long term. With competition from Intel and other chip vendors being unjustifiably minimized, Nvidia's 98% production gross margin seems unsustainable. Nvidia has no clear AI leadership/moat.The valuation is actually not defensible, as a surge to something on the order of $100B revenue is now being priced in. Sell your shares at the current pe
