Shares of Abacus Global Management rose after the company logged higher revenue but a steeper loss in the fourth quarter.
The stock was up 12%, at $8.00, Friday morning. Shares have lost 34% over the past 12 months.
The alternative asset manager on Thursday posted a loss of $19 million, or 22 cents a share, for the three months ended Dec. 31, compared with a loss of $6.4 million, or 10 cents a share, a year earlier.
Stripping out one-time items, earnings per share were 16 cents a share, above estimates of 14 cents a share according to analysts polled by FactSet.
Revenue rose to $33.2 million compared with $23.7 million a year ago. Analysts expected $29.8 million.
The Orlando, Fla., company said higher active management revenue, increased capital deployed and more policies sold directly to third parties drove the revenue increase.
For 2025, the company guided for adjusted net income between $70 million and $78 million, implying growth of 51% to 68% from 2024.
