China Longyuan Power Logs 2.5% Drop in March Power Output

MT Newswires Live04-09

China Longyuan Power Group (SHE:001289, HKG:0916) recorded a 2.5% decline in power generation to around 7.6 million megawatt-hours in March, a Wednesday filing with the Hong Kong bourse said.

The power company attributed the lower output mainly to the firm ceasing to own coal power consolidated installed capacity from October 2024, leading to no coal power generation in the month.

In March, wind and photovoltaic power generation rose by 7.6% and 46%, respectively, year over year.

In the first quarter of 2025, power output fell by 4.4% to nearly 20.3 million megawatt-hours.
