The Stoxx Europe 600 falls 0.2% and the CAC 40 drops 0.8%, though the DAX advances 0.3% and the FTSE 100 edges 0.1% higher. Australian and South Korean stocks rose 0.2%, mainland China and Japanese markets increased more than 1% and Hong Kong's Hang Seng rallied 2%.
