Beyond said it was reshuffling its leadership structure once again with the elimination of its co-chief executive roles, resulting in the departure of Chandra Holt from the C-suite.
The operator of Overstock.com and Bed Bath & Beyond's online brands had tapped Holt, previously the CEO of Conn's HomePlus, in February to be chief executive of the Bed Bath & Beyond banner while Dave Nielsen would take the top role at Overstock.
Beyond said Monday that both chief roles are now being eliminated and that Holt is leaving. Nielsen has been appointed president to oversee marketing, merchandising and supply chain functions for Beyond.
As part of the change, Marcus Lemonis plans take a more active role as executive chairman, Beyond said.
The decision to install co-CEOs came after Lemonis took on the role of chairman at the end of last year, and roughly a week after he was elevated to executive chairman.
The former Overstock.com is still trying to establish its identity and position in the market after buying the assets of Bed Bath & Beyond out of bankruptcy and rebranding to Beyond.
