MW CrowdStrike stock could see its worst day ever after worldwide outages

CrowdStrike Holdings may be looking at worst single-day stock-market performance ever, after a computer outage worldwide was pinned on the cybersecurity company.

In premarket trade on Friday, CrowdStrike $(CRWD)$ stock lost 20%.

According to FactSet data, CrowdStrike has never dropped more than 17% in a single session.

A widespread outage hitting Microsoft-powered computers has disrupted flights and impacted banks, publishers and scores of other companies. Governments and airlines attributed the outages to CrowdStrike.

Reports linked the problems to what's called CrowdStrike's Falcon Sensor platform.
