China May Roll out Additional CNY1T Worth of Fiscal Stimulus -- Market Talk
Dow Jones10-03
0752 GMT - China is likely to roll out more fiscal stimulus in the near term, HSBC analysts led by Jing Liu say in a research note. While recent policy moves have boosted sentiment, the missing element is fiscal stimulus, the analysts add. HSBC expects Beijing to announce CNY1 trillion in direct fiscal support for the economy as soon as after the national holiday. The total announced amount could be CNY2 trillion or more, including funds for potential bank recapitalization and local governments' special refinancing bonds, the analysts say. (tracy.qu@wsj.com)
