If if if I won a jackpot, I will still work but with certain conditions of course: - Since salary is not an issue anymore, I might switch to a less pressure work to have a happier life - It will be quite boring if I suddenly stop working and just stay at home - I can also consider to work for myself instead of others, meaning to say I can do my own business - I will consider stop working for 1 year maybe and give me some time to enjoy life and travel around the world - Other than working, I also can work on my money for investment. I will select a few great stocks with high dividends and invest using my favourite TigerTrade apps. Well, all the dreams here. I am still waiting for my real jackpot before these dreams come true! [Happy][Happy] With $5million Jackpot win I’ll quit my day job and relax to enjoy life. There should be no problem covering my cost of living. I just need to plan well ahead. The good news is even if i don’t invest the money, $5 million is still enough that i could live on $120,000 a year for more than 41 years. If i invest the $5 million in government bonds and treasury bills, i could live off the interests without depleting the principal. If I diversify my investments into stocks, bonds and more, then the returns are beyond limits. Let my imagination run wild! 😊😊
I would continue to work. however, the difference is that I know I won't be dependent on the job to keep me afloat. I would of course travel around the world and enjoy life more since I know I am financially fine... I could too afford a little more luxury since [USD] [USD] [USD] is not as tight... of course not forgetting, doing things that are of a good course [Grin] [Grin] [Grin] @Aqa @LMSunshine @koolgal

*would you quit your job after winning $5mil?* Winning $5 million would be a game-changer! While I appreciate my current role, I wouldn't hesitate to scale back my hours and pursue a more balanced life. With financial freedom, I could focus on making a meaningful impact in the world. I'd use my resources to drive positive change, support causes I'm passionate about, and leave a lasting legacy. A job is just a job, but with $5 million, I could create a life of purpose and significance!
Not really but I will invest 50 percent save 30 percent and spend 20 percent of what I earned.
No I won't cos always statyat home very boring. Must find something to work and use the mind to prevent alzheime🔥
No, continue to work. However, the major difference would be I am no longer dependent on the income for a living. The $5 million can be used to invest or buy properties as investment or to be a landlord.

It is important to continue working to keep the brain active and also for social relationships. However, i think i will be less hesistant to quit AND move on to another job. Holding down a job can now just be for mental engagement, to learn things for fun or work entirely for passion or even work for voluntary causes.

I would explore like working just part-time or more likely to go off pay for time to spend with family or travel or for pastimes.

In short, just work for the benefits od working!

I would continue to conduct research, but without relying on third-party funding or living from one temporary contract to another. Instead, I could devote my full attention to pre-clinical medical research by applying and developing state-of-the-art analytical strategies aimed at discovering next-level solutions for urgently needed pharmaceutical healthcare.
If I hit the jackpot with $5 million,i would let Tiger Trade be my gateway to a world of investment possibilities! With the platform, i can easily diversify my portfolio with stocks, bonds, and other assets.
Yes I would pursue personal projects and fund my modest spending with dividends.
Defiately want early retirement
Indeed 'yes'. I do not need a job but a passionto pursue and generate more income with big money. It would be wise to spend, invest, save, monetise, experience and live your dreams.
If I won a 5 million jackpot, I would not quit my job. Working is already part of my life style. I am so satisfied to work in this organisation as it can help lots of people to improve their quality of life. I have a group of nice colleagues and we work as a team to resolve problems and complete projects. Of course with so much money, I can plan for long vacation with my family members by taking leaves. I will have better enjoyable bonding with them during tours. I will donate some of the money to charity as I believe sharing is caring. You will appreciate what easy coming money and it will easily spending away. Therefore, it is good that you have do a good deed for donating.
Winning $5mio allows me to set aside a portion to earn passive incoming to continue achieving FI and I can choose to work whenever I feels like it and to still feel useful for my own sake and not become senile. So I will not RE yet.

Working in a job that I like, which is most important. While investing the money that I won in the lottery.
Winning a jackpot ir having lotsa $$$ might have many folks booking a one-way ticket to a life of luxury—perhaps even considering a permanent staycation at Marina Bay Sands![Cool] But for many, work isn’t just a paycheck—it’s about purpose and passion. Sure, $5 million can buy a lot of kopi and kaya toast, but can it replace the joy of complaining about the MRT with your colleagues? So, would I quit my job? Maybe not. But I’d definitely consider upgrading from economy to business class on my next holiday to Bali! Maybe on all my holidays in fact![Happy]

Winning a substantial amount of money in a lottery, such as $5 million or $100 million, prompts many to question whether to stay at their current job or quit and explore new opportunities. This decision hinges on various factors, and the answer may differ significantly from one person to another. For those who find their job fulfilling and meaningful, continuing to work may be the natural choice. This decision could stem from a deep sense of purpose and commitment to their role, colleagues, or the overall mission of the organization.
